Career action plan
- 1. Career Action Plan The skills that I have been developing on are time management, I have done an EPD which involves explaining and learning about time management, this has helped as I have learnt about different methods of time management which has helped me develop my skills in this area I have also got a good understand of Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, etc. I know different tools and effects and I am developing to learn more effects and ways of using the programs to give extra knowledge in this area, I have also got a good understanding of using computers and the internet as I have been developing my research skills in and out of education. I can be sociable in a way that I would speak to employees and co-workers if they needed help with something or needed to know something and I go out with friends, which helps me increases the understanding of other people. I am looking to continue doing a media based course at a higher level at higher education, I am aiming towards getting a full degree in this course, I hope to one day improve my editing abilities and my camera operating to get good shots faster and to learn to use a professional camera, then I wish to aim for a career in editing or camera operating, I will also be writing my own ideas for films, TV shows, etc. My main ambition is to be an editor as it is something I enjoy doing and instead of becoming repetitive I have the chance to edit different shows, films, music videos and you even get to try different effects so I am learning new things, doing new things and you can look back and try to improve what you have done. Camera operating is also an ambition as this keeps you constantly aware of what is going on, you learn to set up shots faster the more you do it, there are different styles of shots and different ways of doing them, for example, using a dolly, camera operating is also more sociable as you see other crew members and have a chance to be out and see different places, countries and other locations. I would also like to be a screen writer but I prefer to write scripts when the idea comes to me and not when it is forced out as this gives me time to look at the story and how parts can work or if it is a TV show then how it will be set out, also when I listen to music I like to think of ideas of how a music video could look and what would look good as a video, this is with pretty much with any song I listen to as well so it becomes useful, also coming up with advert ideas is fun as it gives you a chance to look at past adverts and what audiences buy it so what they might like to see, (such as comedy). My strengths include the ability to talk to co-workers, employers and clients in the right manner and be able to get along with co-workers so that the working environment is calm and not stressful or awkward for anyone, I am able to work and get on with anyone who may not see me as a friend outside of the workplace. I am able to learn new skills as I go along and am not afraid to try new things to improve my skills and abilities, I have learnt about time management and am able to use different techniques to keep the work up to date and on time. I have also done healthy living so I would be able to keep a healthy lifestyle so that I always have energy to do whatever I have to do and would be in the physical and mental condition to do so.

I have technical skills using editing software for picture and video; I am also able to advance my knowledge in this area and attempt learning new techniques and effects to come out with a certain style of whatever is expected, I have also used a green screen so understand how they work and what is needed to use them, I have also edited the footage after using the green screen so am able to edited a video using one and know how to. My ambition in to make my own projects outside of the work area, I would enjoy producing my own short films, music videos, etc. I will practice using editing software and research ways of doing certain techniques so that I can use them in future projects. I practice continuity with old projects and try different effects and styles with them; this includes picture and video software. I also like to think of project ideas when I am sat listening to music, I come up with a few short film ideas and how I can make them differentiate from others but still appeal to the audience and when I listen to music I like to think up music videos that could be possible in my head and have even thought of attempting/producing some of them. I hope to buy filming equipment in the future so I can attempt these goals and further my knowledge, abilities and skills towards bigger goals.
