1) Researchers have built the first computer entirely using carbon nanotube field-effect transistors (CNFETs). This overcomes substantial imperfections in CNT technology that had previously prevented complex circuits.
2) The CNT computer runs a basic operating system capable of multitasking, demonstrated by concurrently running counting and integer sorting programs. It also executes 20 instructions from the commercial MIPS instruction set.
3) The CNT computer implements a "SUBNEG" instruction that subtracts two values and conditionally branches based on the sign of the result. Its operation is controlled by a 3-clock cycle and uses 178 CNFETs made of 10-200 carbon nanotubes each.
Enhancing the matrix transpose operation using intel avx instruction set exte...ijcsit
General-purpose microprocessors are augmented with short-vector instruction extensions in order to
simultaneously process more than one data element using the same operation. This type of parallelism is
known as data-parallel processing. Many scientific, engineering, and signal processing applications can be
formulated as matrix operations. Therefore, accelerating these kernel operations on microprocessors,
which are the building blocks or large high-performance computing systems, will definitely boost the
performance of the aforementioned applications. In this paper, we consider the acceleration of the matrix
transpose operation using the 256-bit Intel advanced vector extension (AVX) instructions. We present a
novel vector-based matrix transpose algorithm and its optimized implementation using AVX instructions.
The experimental results on Intel Core i7 processor demonstrates a 2.83 speedup over the standard
sequential implementation, and a maximum of 1.53 speedup over the GCC library implementation. When
the transpose is combined with matrix addition to compute the matrix update, B + AT, where A and B are
squared matrices, the speedup of our implementation over the sequential algorithm increased to 3.19.

Analysis of image compression algorithms using wavelet transform with gui in ...eSAT Journals
Abstract Image compression is nothing but reducing the amount of data required to represent an image. To compress an image efficiently we use various techniques to decrease the space and to increase the efficiency of transfer of the images over network for better access. This paper explains about compression methods such as JPEG 2000, EZW, SPIHT (Set Partition in Hierarchical Trees) and HS-SPIHT on the basis of processing time, error comparison, mean square error, peak signal to noise ratio and compression ratio. Due to the large requirement for memory and the high complexity of computation, JPEG2000 cannot be used in many conditions especially in the memory constraint case. SPIHT gives better simplicity and better compression compared to the other techniques. But to scale the image more so as to get better compression we are using the line-based Wavelet transform because it requires lower memory without affecting the result of Wavelet transform. We proposed a highly scalable image compression scheme based on the Set Partitioning in Hierarchical Trees (SPIHT) algorithm. This algorithm is called Highly Scalable SPIHT (HS_SPIHT) it gives good scalability and provides 1 bit stream that can be easily adapted to give bandwidth and resolution requirements. Keywords: - Wavelet transform Scalability, SPIHT, HS-SPIHT, Processing time, Line-based Wavelet transform.

Abstract
The main aim of this project is to generate the address generation circuitry of Deinterleaver used in the WiMAX transreceiver using
the Xilinx Field Programmable Gate Array(FPGA). The floor function associated with the implementation of FPGA is very difficult in
IEEE 802.16e standard. So we eliminate the requirement of floor function by using a simple mathematical algorithm. Some
modulations like QPSK, 16-QAM and 64-QAM along with its code rates make our approach to be novel and high efficient.

This document discusses the development of MATLAB software to control data acquisition from a Multichannel Systems microelectrode array for studying sudden cardiac death. The software was developed because the MCS software stores data in a format that is slow to import into MATLAB. The developed MATLAB software can: 1) provide real-time display of electrogram signals from the microelectrode array; 2) record and save the signals in MATLAB in a desired format; and 3) perform real-time analysis of the signals through a graphical user interface. It controls data acquisition from the MCS unit, formats and stores the data, and allows for real-time visualization and analysis of the signals to enable study of sudden cardiac death.

Goe tech. engg. Ch# 02 strss distributionIrfan Malik
This document discusses stress distribution in soils. It defines stress as the internal forces per unit area within a body resisting external loads. Stress is calculated as force over cross-sectional area. Stresses in soil come from geostatic or self-weight stresses due to overburden pressure, or induced stresses from external loads like foundations or vehicles. Pore water pressure is stress transmitted by water in soil pores, while effective stress is that transmitted between soil grains, accounting for both normal and shear strength. Effective stress is calculated as total stress minus pore water pressure.
Fly ash is a byproduct of coal combustion that can be used as a supplementary cementitious material in concrete. Using fly ash provides environmental benefits by reducing CO2 emissions from cement production and providing an outlet to dispose of the large amounts of fly ash produced annually. Fly ash improves the properties of concrete by increasing workability, reducing water demand, improving strength development over time, and decreasing permeability. The pozzolanic reaction of fly ash with lime from cement hydration leads to increased amounts of calcium silicate hydrate, enhancing the durability of the concrete.

Goetech. engg. Ch# 03 settlement analysis signedIrfan Malik
This document discusses settlement analysis and different types of settlement. It begins by defining settlement as the vertical downward deformation of soil under a load. There are two main types of settlement based on permanence - permanent and temporary. There are also different types based on mode of occurrence: primary consolidation, secondary consolidation, and immediate settlement. Differential settlement can cause structural damage, while uniform settlement has little consequence. The document outlines methods to estimate settlement, such as consolidation tests, and discusses remedial measures to reduce or accommodate settlement.

Comparing ICH-leach and Leach Descendents on Image Transfer using DCT IJECEIAES
The development and miniaturization of CMOS (microphones and cameras) in the last years have allowed the creation of WMSN (Wireless Multimedia Sensor Network). Therefore, transferring multimedia content through the network has become an important field of research. It transmits the recorded multimedia data wirelessly from a node to another to reach the Sink (base station). Thus, routing protocols make a big contribution in this process, because they participate in optimizing the node's resource usage. Since Leach protocol was designed only to minimize energy consumption of the network. The goal of this paper is to compare our protocol in tnansfering images with other Leach protocol descendants. By using the application layer, we applied the jpeg compression using the frequency domain on images before sending them to the network. In this paper, readers will find statistics concerning the lifetime of the network, the energy consumption and most importantly statistics about received images. Also, we used Castalia framework to simulate real conditions of transmission simulation results proved the efficiency of our protocol by prolonging the lifetime of the network and transmitting more images with better quality compared to other protocols.

Design and analysis of dual-mode numerically controlled oscillators based co...IJECEIAES
In this paper, the design and analysis of dual-mode numerically controlled oscillators (NCO) based controlled oscillator frequency Modulation is implemented. Initially, input is given to the analog to digital converter (ADC) converter. This will change the input from analog to digital converter. After that, the pulse skipping mode (PSM) logic and proportional integral (PI) are applied to the converted data. After applying PSM logic, data is directly transferred to the connection block. The proportional and integral block will transfer the data will be decoded using the decoder. After decoding the values, it is saved using a modulo accumulator. After that, it is converted from one hot residue (OHR) to binary converter. The converted data is saved in the register. Now both data will pass through the gate driver circuit and output will be obtained finally. From simulation results, it can observe that the usage of metal oxide semiconductor field effect transistors (MOSFETs) and total nodes are very less in dual-mode NCO-based controlled oscillator frequency modulation.

Area-Efficient Design of Scheduler for Routing Node of Network-On-ChipVLSICS Design
This document describes an area-efficient design for a scheduler used in routing nodes of a Network-on-Chip (NoC). The scheduler arbitrates between requests from input ports to access the switching fabric. The original scheduler design uses round-robin arbitration and has separate grant and accept arbiters. The proposed design folds the scheduler onto itself, reducing its area by 50% while maintaining the same scheduling functionality. Synthesis results show the modified scheduler has a 30% smaller area but requires two extra clock cycles per scheduling decision compared to the original design.

Gas agency management system project report.pdfKamal Acharya
The project entitled "Gas Agency" is done to make the manual process easier by making it a computerized system for billing and maintaining stock. The Gas Agencies get the order request through phone calls or by personal from their customers and deliver the gas cylinders to their address based on their demand and previous delivery date. This process is made computerized and the customer's name, address and stock details are stored in a database. Based on this the billing for a customer is made simple and easier, since a customer order for gas can be accepted only after completing a certain period from the previous delivery. This can be calculated and billed easily through this. There are two types of delivery like domestic purpose use delivery and commercial purpose use delivery. The bill rate and capacity differs for both. This can be easily maintained and charged accordingly.
Prediction of Electrical Energy Efficiency Using Information on Consumer's Ac...PriyankaKilaniya
Energy efficiency has been important since the latter part of the last century. The main object of this survey is to determine the energy efficiency knowledge among consumers. Two separate districts in Bangladesh are selected to conduct the survey on households and showrooms about the energy and seller also. The survey uses the data to find some regression equations from which it is easy to predict energy efficiency knowledge. The data is analyzed and calculated based on five important criteria. The initial target was to find some factors that help predict a person's energy efficiency knowledge. From the survey, it is found that the energy efficiency awareness among the people of our country is very low. Relationships between household energy use behaviors are estimated using a unique dataset of about 40 households and 20 showrooms in Bangladesh's Chapainawabganj and Bagerhat districts. Knowledge of energy consumption and energy efficiency technology options is found to be associated with household use of energy conservation practices. Household characteristics also influence household energy use behavior. Younger household cohorts are more likely to adopt energy-efficient technologies and energy conservation practices and place primary importance on energy saving for environmental reasons. Education also influences attitudes toward energy conservation in Bangladesh. Low-education households indicate they primarily save electricity for the environment while high-education households indicate they are motivated by environmental concerns.
