Queensland Agricultural Training
College’s vision is to be a world-standard
provider of education and research
services in agriculture and associated
industries. We are building a strong, best
practice rural and agricultural education
and research business that produces
graduates with skills and capabilities that
are in demand for the future success of
agribusiness and associated industries
both domestically and internationally.
QATC is taking a whole-of-business
approach to the utilisation of our assets
to provide education and research
products and services that epitomise
leadership, quality and innovation.
Our business will include agribusiness
operations and outcomes that advance
the knowledge of modern food and fibre
production, through education and research.
With a geographical reach that spans
Queensland and Australia, we can provide
inbound and outbound international
education and research opportunities
independently or in partnership.
LEADERSHIP & INNOVATION
Queensland Agricultural Training Colleges operates as a training
and research organisation with multiple locations, aligned with an
integrated commercial scale agribusiness.
Our goal of commercial sustainability is one which is possible
through streamlining our operations, and building a culture of
agility to identify and implement a framework of operational
efficiency, compliance, and service excellence.
By following good business practice, we are an attractive partner to
achieve mutually beneficial outcomes for each partner organisation,
particularly in tertiary education, research and export education.
QUALITY TRAINING & EDUCATION
The student learning experience of our agricultural education
and training programs is enhanced through our understanding
of agriculture, related industries, and integrated supply chain.
Our qualification and educational pathways for rural and
regional students through school, vocational, and higher
education are interlaced with multiple entry and exit points.
We consult with education and agricultural practitioners
to plan engaging and relevant training and education
programs. Education strategies, resources, learning
environments, and instructor support are benchmarked to
modern pedagogical best practice, and are facilitated in
multi-modal channels expected of a modern educator.
QATC graduates are in demand by industry and employers for
their skills and capabilities, and their ability to have relevance in
the technologically-rich future of agriculture and agribusiness.
BEST PRACTICE AGRIBUSINESS
The scope of any agribusiness enterprise cannot be confined
simply to a focus on production. Value added supply chain
principles drive our operational production focus, and are an
attractive experiential education opportunity for students to
achieve practically based enhanced learning outcomes.
QATC’s production and educational facilities
provide opportunity for QATC and our partners to
undertake evidence based research programs that
deliver systemic, industry wide innovation.
We adhere to the principles of long term financial and
environmental sustainability and business resilience.
With our geographical
reach, QATC can provide
education and research
opportunities in agriculture, either
independently or in partnership, to
encourage industry innovation...

PARTNER ENGAGEMENT
Queensland Agricultural Training Colleges strives to embody
our organisation values Customers first, Ideas into Action,
Unleash potential, Be courageous, Empower people. In
doing so, QATC is sought after by industry to engage in
collaborations to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
Partnerships with QATC are a great way to gain exposure
for products or services, undertake pre-commercial
testing, or share resources across a range of agricultural,
technological, and educational platforms.
Affiliation with QATC can take many forms, including:
• joint research and product development
• licensing agreements
• scholarships
• internships
• graduate employment programs
QATC seeks partners who can play an essential role in ensuring our educational and research
programs enrich student experiences and agricultural productivity outcomes.
Individualised and tailored benefits can include industry exclusivity, branding across a range of locations and collateral,
targeted access to key audience groups, and perceived social responsibility through community engagement.
STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS
Queensland Agricultural Training Colleges regularly teams up
with organisations interested in contributing to the skilling
of new generations of entrants into the rural workforce,
through the establishment of study scholarships.
As a result of these valued partnerships, our students
are well supported to develop their practical skills and
theoretical knowledge in disciplines such as equine studies,
agribusiness, cropping, cattle, sheep and horticulture.
The opportunity to undertake their studies with reduced
financial pressure is very much appreciated by the
students and their families, and has proved to generate
considerable goodwill and relationships between
the students and their industry study sponsors.
We have established two ways in which industry and business
sponsors can partner with us to benefit these students:
• by providing funding to be pooled into a general QATC
Scholarship fund
• by contributing a minimum of $5,000 per recipient to go
towardtheirfullcoursecostsoftuitionandaccommodation.
This will give you naming rights to your QATC scholarship.
Each year we have the full complement of scholarships finalised for promotion by the end
of August, to maximise sponsor exposure to our upcoming cohort of students.
Scholarship sponsors are widely acknowledged for their support, in media releases, on the Queensland
Agricultural Training Colleges website (qatc.edu.au), and by additional publicity surrounding the scholarships
including through advertising, social media, marketing events such as career expos, field days, College Open
Days, graduation ceremonies, and posters at and around our numerous locations throughout Queensland.
