The aim of this system is to show how position of the dc motor can be controlled by using PID algorithm in LabVIEW for camera movement. Arduino microcontroller board is used to control the DC motor. L298N dual H Bridge motor driver is used to drive the DC motor and to execute the pulse width modulation PWM signal. Proportional Integral Derivative PID is the most common control algorithm used in industrial applications and other control system. DC motor will be interfaced with LabVIEW using an Arduino Uno microcontroller. The position of the DC motor will be set by creating a Graphic User Interface GUI in LabVIEW. LabVIEW GUI sends serial command to the microcontroller for driving PWM pins of the DC motor . DC motor will move by the user in LabVIEW for position control. The output is sent back to the PID controller in Uno microcontroller. PID compares the actual position of the DC motor with the desired position. In this system, PID controller is used to reduce the error and rotate the motor to the set point value for the camera movement control. Abstract In any industry speed control of an electric drive system is very critical and crucial. Every designer aims at achieving a control methodology having high degree of precision. But industry needs are ever evolving in nature. Hence it is very much essential that along with conventional speed control mechanisms we must also have simple interactive graphical based control strategies. Several algorithms/methodologies have been developed over the years to achieve speed control of motors. In this context by encompassing the usability of Mat Lab, work has been done to control the speed of stepper motor and DC motor using microcontroller. Joint control of a robotic arm using particle swarm optimization based H2/H∞ ...TELKOMNIKA JOURNAL
This paper proposes a small structure of robust controller to control robotic arm’s joints where exist some uncertainties and unmodelled dynamics. Robotic arm is widely used now in the era of Industry 4.0. Nevertheless, the cost for an industry to migrate from a conventional automatic machine to industrial robot still very high. This become a significant challenge to middle or small size industry. Development of a low cost industrial robotic arm can be one of good solutions for them. However, a low-cost manipulator can bring more uncertainties. There might be exist more unmodelled dynamic in a low-cost system. A good controller to overcome such uncertainties and unmodelled dynamics is robust controller. A low-cost robotic arm might use small or medium size embedded controller such as Arduino. Therefore, the control algorithm should be a small order of controller. The synthesized controller was tested using MATLAB and then implemented on the real hardware to control a robotic manipulator. Both the simulation and the experiment showed that the proposed controller performed satisfactory results. It can control the joint position to the desired position even in the presence of uncertainties such as unmodelled dynamics and variation of loads or manipulator poses.

Fuel pricing, CO2 emission and conservation of
nature have become a hot topic on the international agenda. Due
to CO2 emission and other factors global warming is increasing
drastically and it is a topic of discussion among engineers,
environment mentors and researchers globally. The past decade is
driven largely by an effort to meet legislated carbon emissions
reduction goals for vehicle fleets. The automakers have introduced
technologies that enable internal combustion engines (ICEs) to
turn off automatically when vehicles are stopped. These stop-start
vehicles are also known as micro hybrids, idle stop vehicles, and a
variety of names branded by automakers. These vehicles can offer
significant reductions in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions,
although the actual saving depends heavily on the drive cycle.
Stop-start vehicles require more robust batteries and starter
systems than are found in internal combustion engine vehicles and
are priced at a small premium over ICEs but considerably less
than hybrid vehicles. With the most aggressive environmental
goals in the world, Europe has seen so far the greatest selection of
vehicles with stop-start technology and, not surprisingly, the
greatest volume of vehicles (cars) sold. North America has
experienced a relatively slow penetration of the technology due to
less stringent emissions reduction goals and an Environmental
Protection Agency (EPA) testing cycle that underestimates the
benefits of the technology. Worldwide, Pike Research expects
more than 41 million of these vehicles (car) to be sold annually by

Various terms related to this project can be discussed as follows. Since we are concern with the wireless application that is why we are using here a mobile phone to control the whole process. Now the question is why should we use a mobile phone? Which is the most suitable mobile phone? So the answer is that mobile is used only for a Bluetooth connection. We need not to carry an extra device for transmitting the data. This transmitter is already inbuilt in a mobile phone. Now come with the question of most suitable mobile phone, so it can be observed that Android phones are the most widely used phones. Android phones are very easy from the operating point of view. In this paper, a rigorous analysis of different techniques of “Human-Machine Interaction” using gestures has been presented using accelerometer. Gestures can originate from any bodily motion or state but commonly originate from the face or hand. Robotics is the branch of engineering that deals with the design, construction, operation, and application of robots, as well as computer systems for their control, sensory feedback, and information processing we have implemented a system through which the user can give commands to a wireless robot using gestures. Through this method, the user can control or navigate the robot by using gestures of his/her palm, thereby interacting with the robotic system. The command signals are generated from these gestures using accelerometer sensing [1]. These signals are then passed to the robot to navigate it in the specified directions.

Speed Control of Induction Motor Using PLC and SCADA SystemIJERA Editor
Automation or automatic control is the use of various control systems for operating equipment such as
machinery, processes in factories, boilers and heat-treating ovens, switching in telephone networks, steering and
stabilization of ships, aircraft and other applications with minimal or reduced human intervention. Some
processes have been completely automated. The motor speed is controlled via the driver as an open loop control.
To make a more precise closed loop control of motor speed we will use a tachometer to measure the speed and
feed it back to the PLC, which compares to the desired value and take a control action, then the signal is
transferred to the motor – via driver – to increase / decrease the speed. We will measure the speed of the motor
using an incremental rotary encoder by adjusting parameters (PLC, driver) and also we need to reduce the
overall cost of the system. Our control system will be held using the available Siemens PLC. In addition, we will
monitor motor parameters via SCADA system.

Simulation DC Motor Speed Control System by using PID Controllerijtsrd
Speed control system is the most common control algorithm used in industry and has been universally accepted in industrial control. One of the applications used here is to control the speed of the DC motor. Controlling the speed of a DC motor is very important as any small change can lead to instability of the closed loop system. The aim of this thesis is to show how DC motor can be controlled by using PID controller in MATLAB. The development of the PID controller with the mathematical model of DC motor is done using automatic tuning method. The PID parameter is to be test with an actual motor also with the PID controller in MATLAB Simulink. Self-Tuning Fuzzy PID Design for BLDC Speed ControlGRD Journals
Brushless DC motor is an electrical motor has high efficiency and torque, long life, cheap maintenance, but it is a nonlinear so complicated in controlling its speed. The popular control system used is PID control. Many ways of determining PID parameters, but because of BLDC motors have non-linear properties so need the intelligent control techniques in setting up PID parameters. In this paper, a self-tuning fuzzy PID control system embedded in ATMega 16 microcontroller to control the speed of BLDC motor adaptively. The results of self-tuning controller PID with fuzzy logic for fixed speed reference at variation speed 1000-2500 RPM has a good transient response parameter value. On the reference up and down the controller is able to adjust the speed change adaptively. The test of momentary disturbance shows the speed is decreasing about 1 second and can back to set point quickly.

Implementation of PID Controller PWM Module on FPGAijtsrd
A technique for designing an Intelligent PID controller using Very Large Scale Integrated circuits VLSI is presented. The PID controller parameters are optimized using the Particle Swarm Optimization PSO algorithm, which identifies errors and controls the system with multiple iterations of different parameters. The optimization process focuses on parameters such as gain, delay, lag, and various times to solve problems. To evaluate the systems performance, a new function that includes system adjusting time, rise time, overshoot, and system error is defined. The circuits are tested and implemented as intelligent PID controllers on VLSI devices in a laboratory plant. The algorithm applied to the PID controller reduces iterations and enables rapid control action, resulting in improved system time delay and performance. The optimization technique is applied to improve the systems response. Finally, the Intelligent PID controller is implemented in FPGA. C. Sinduja | Mrs. P. FOUR QUADRANT SPEED CONTROL OF DC MOTOR USING AT89S52 MICROCONTROLLERJournal For Research
Speed control of a machine is the most vital and important part in any industrial organization. This paper is designed to develop a four quadrant speed control system for a DC motor using microcontroller. The motor is operated in four quadrants i.e. clockwise, counter clock-wise, forward brake and reverse brake. It also has a feature of speed control. The four quadrant operation of the dc motor is best suited for industries where motors are used and as per requirement they can rotate in clockwise, counter-clockwise and also apply brakes immediately in both the directions. In case of a specific operation in industrial environment, the motor needs to be stopped immediately. In such scenario, this proposed system is very apt as forward brake and reverse brake are its integral features. Instantaneous brake in both the directions happens as a result of applying a reverse voltage across the running motor for a brief period and the speed control of the motor can be achieved with the PWM pulses generated by the microcontroller. The microcontroller used in this project is from 8051 family. Push buttons are provided for the operation of the motor which are interfaced to the microcontroller that provides an input signal to it and controls the speed of the motor through a motor driver IC. The speed and direction of DC motor has been observed on digital CRO. Microcontroller programming has been written in assembly language by using notepad and it has been converted in hex file by using micro vision Kiel. The burning of programming in the 8051 microcontroller chip has been done by using positron boot loader software.

Design and Construction of DC Motor Speed Controller Using Android.pptEEESrproject
Rapid progress in microelectronics and microcontrollers in recent years has made it possible to apply modern control technology to control efficient and reliable operation of many applications such as the engine, anti-lock braking system (ABS), cruise, steering, and vehicle traction. Many of these operations including DC motor and therefore there is a need for implementing effective control strategies with digital control of these motors. The speed of DC motor is directly proportional to armature voltage and inversely proportional to field flux and adjustable speed drives can be operated over a wide range by controlling armature or field excitation. Development of various solid state switching devices such as diode, transistor and thyristor along with various analog/digital chips used in firing/controlling circuits, have made dc drives more handy for control in numerous areas of applications. For DC motor speed control, closed-loop PWM technique is widely used and well known . In this technique, the regulation of motor’s speed is realized by changing the voltage of motor which is adjusted by the duty ratio of PWM. In order to improve the performance of motor’s speed regulation and to reduce the steady-state error of the rotational speed of motor, a high- performance microcontroller can be used.In this work, an arduino microcontroller is used for implementation.

This study primarily focuses on the design of a high side buck converter using an Arduino microcontroller. The converter is specifically intended for use in DC DC applications, particularly in standalone solar PV systems where the PV output voltage exceeds the load or battery voltage. To evaluate the performance of the converter, simulation experiments are conducted using Proteus Software. These simulations provide insights into the input and output voltages, currents, powers, and efficiency under different state of charge SoC conditions of a 12V,70Ah rechargeable lead acid battery. Additionally, the hardware design of the converter is implemented, and practical data is collected through operation, monitoring, and recording. By comparing the simulation results with the practical results, the efficiency and performance of the designed converter are assessed. The findings indicate that while the buck converter is suitable for practical use in standalone PV systems, its efficiency is compromised due to a lower output current. Sustainable Energy by Paul A. Adekunte | Matthew N. O. Sadiku | Janet O. Sadikuijtsrd
Energy becomes sustainable if it meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Some of the definitions of sustainable energy include the considerations of environmental aspects such as greenhouse gas emissions, social, and economic aspects such as energy poverty. Generally far more sustainable than fossil fuel are renewable energy sources such as wind, hydroelectric power, solar, and geothermal energy sources. Worthy of note is that some renewable energy projects, like the clearing of forests to produce biofuels, can cause severe environmental damage. The sustainability of nuclear power which is a low carbon source is highly debated because of concerns about radioactive waste, nuclear proliferation, and accidents. The switching from coal to natural gas has environmental benefits, including a lower climate impact, but could lead to delay in switching to more sustainable options. “Carbon capture and storage” can be built into power plants to remove the carbon dioxide CO2 emissions, but this technology is expensive and has rarely been implemented. Leading non renewable energy sources around the world is fossil fuels, coal, petroleum, and natural gas. Nuclear energy is usually considered another non renewable energy source, although nuclear energy itself is a renewable energy source, but the material used in nuclear power plants is not. The paper addresses the issue of sustainable energy, its attendant benefits to the future generation, and humanity in general. Paul A. Adekunte | Matthew N. O. Sadiku | Janet O. Concepts for Sudan Survey Act Implementations Executive Regulations and Stand...ijtsrd
This paper aims to outline the executive regulations, survey standards, and specifications required for the implementation of the Sudan Survey Act, and for regulating and organizing all surveying work activities in Sudan. The act has been discussed for more than 5 years. The Land Survey Act was initiated by the Sudan Survey Authority and all official legislations were headed by the Sudan Ministry of Justice till it was issued in 2022. The paper presents conceptual guidelines to be used for the Survey Act implementation and to regulate the survey work practice, standardizing the field surveys, processing, quality control, procedures, and the processes related to survey work carried out by the stakeholders and relevant authorities in Sudan. The conceptual guidelines are meant to improve the quality and harmonization of geospatial data and to aid decision making processes as well as geospatial information systems. The established comprehensive executive regulations will govern and regulate the implementation of the Sudan Survey Geomatics Act in all surveying and mapping practices undertaken by the Sudan Survey Authority SSA and state local survey departments for public or private sector organizations. The targeted standards and specifications include the reference frame, projection, coordinate systems, and the guidelines and specifications that must be followed in the field of survey work, processes, and mapping products. In the last few decades, there has been a growing awareness of the importance of geomatics activities and measurements on the Earths surface in space and time, together with observing and mapping the changes. In such cases, data must be captured promptly, standardized, and obtained with more accuracy and specified in much detail. The paper will also highlight the current situation in Sudan, the degree to which survey standards are used, the problems encountered, and the errors that arise from not using the standards and survey specifications. Towards the Implementation of the Sudan Interpolated Geoid Model Khartoum Sta...ijtsrd
The discussions between ellipsoid and geoid have invoked many researchers during the recent decades, especially during the GNSS technology era, which had witnessed a great deal of development but still geoid undulation requires more investigations. To figure out a solution for Sudans local geoid, this research has tried to intake the possibility of determining the geoid model by following two approaches, gravimetric and geometrical geoid model determination, by making use of GNSS leveling benchmarks at Khartoum state. The Benchmarks are well distributed in the study area, in which, the horizontal coordinates and the height above the ellipsoid have been observed by GNSS while orthometric heights were carried out using precise leveling. The Global Geopotential Model GGM represented in EGM2008 has been exploited to figure out the geoid undulation at the benchmarks in the study area. This is followed by a fitting process, that has been done to suit the geoid undulation data which has been computed using GNSS leveling data and geoid undulation inspired by the EGM2008. Two geoid surfaces were created after the fitting process to ensure that they are identical and both of them could be counted for getting the same geoid undulation with an acceptable accuracy. In this respect, statistical operation played an important role in ensuring the consistency and integrity of the model by applying cross validation techniques splitting the data into training and testing datasets for building the geoid model and testing its eligibility. The geometrical solution for geoid undulation computation has been utilized by applying straightforward equations that facilitate the calculation of the geoid undulation directly through applying statistical techniques for the GNSS leveling data of the study area to get the common equation parameters values that could be utilized to calculate geoid undulation of any position in the study area within the claimed accuracy. Both systems were checked and proved eligible to be used within the study area with acceptable accuracy which may contribute to solving the geoid undulation problem in the Khartoum area, and be further generalized to determine the geoid model over the entire country, and this could be considered in the future, for regional and continental geoid model. 2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.
Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

used to drive the desired speed and position from the user.
Arduino provides Pulse width modulation (PWM) signals
and outputs 12V to feed the DC motor through H-Bridge and
optical encoder. PWM signal is got from Arduino
microcontroller. This signal is sent to L298 H-Bridge for
drive the DC motor. PID algorithm is used in which errors
are not only solved but also taken to its minimal value with
very low amount of error oscillations. The analog signal
provided by the optical encoder is acquired by means of the
Arduino Uno board. Finally, the speed and position of DC
motor for camera movement can be controlled by using PID
controller in LabVIEW. The output response can be seen in

III. HARDWARE CONFIGURATIONS
A. Arduino UNO
The Arduino Uno is a microcontroller board based on the
ATmega328P shown in fig. 3. It has 14 digital input/output
pins (of which 6 can be used as PWM outputs), 6 analog
inputs, a 16 MHz ceramic resonator, a USB connection, a
power jack, an ICSP header, and a reset button. It contains
everything needed to support the microcontroller; simply
connect it to a computer with a USB cable or power it with
an AC-to-DC adapter or battery to get started. The Uno
differs from all preceding boards in that it does not use the
FUDI USB-to-serial driver chip. Instead, it features the
Atmega16U2 (Atmega8U2 up to version R2)programmedas
a USB-to-serial converter [3].

B. L298N Dual H-Bridge Controller
The L298N dual H-Bridge controller module shows in fig. 4.
H-Bridge has four states: open, forward, backward and
breaking. In the open state, all the switches are open and the
motor won’t spin. In the forward state, two diagonally
opposing switches are closed, causing a positive voltage
through the motor. On the contrary, in the backward state
this voltage is reversed, which leads to reverse operation of
the motor. If the H-Bridge is put in the braking state, all
residual motion caused by momentum is ceased, and the
motor stops [4].

The 12V DC gear-motor shown in fig. 5 is a powerful motor
to drive the position control of the system. It provides 60
rpm with 12VDC rated voltage and gear ratiois100:1.Inthis
system, counts per revolution of the gearbox output can be
multiplied the gear ratio by 22.

IV. CONTROLLER DESCRIPTION
A. PID Control
The most common form of feedback used in the control
systems is the Proportional integral derivative (PID)
controller. The PID controller can be used for various
industrial applications. PID algorithm consists of threebasic
coefficients; proportional, integral and derivative which are
varied to get optimal response of the system. The PID
controller is capable of manipulating the process inputs
based on the history and rate of change of the signal. This
gives a more accurate and stable control method for the
system.

In the equation (1), r(t) is input position, u(t) is PWM signal,
y(t) is the actual position, e(t) is position error value, and Kp,
Ki, Kd respectively is the PID controller proportion, integral,
and the differential coefficient. The gain coefficient (Kp)
speed up the adjustment, but it has overshoot proportion,
causes the system stable drop down, even make the system
unstable. Coefficient (Ki) limits the system static error, but
reduces the system stability. Coefficient (Kd), differential
control action, it reflect system error signal rate of change,
like feedback control, and it improves the system dynamic
performance [5].

V. SOFTWARE DESCRIPTION
A. Virtual Instruments LabVIEW Environment
LabVIEW (Laboratory Virtual Instrument Engineering
Workbench) is a graphical programming language that uses
icons instead of lines of text to create applications. In
contrast to text-based programming languages, where
instructions determine the order of program execution,
LabVIEW uses dataflow programming, where the flow of
data through the nodes of the VIs and functions. VIs, or
virtual instruments, is LabVIEW programs that imitate
physical instruments.
It is possible to use the LabVIEW palettes, tools, and menus
to build the front panels and block diagramsofVIs.LabVIEW
includes three palettes: the Controls palette, the Functions
palette and the Tools palette.
B. Front Panel
The front panel is the user interface of the VI with controls
and indicators. Controls are the interactive input and
indicators are output terminals of the VI. Controls simulate
instrument input devices and supply data to the block
diagram of the VI. It is connected wires to right side on the
block diagram. Controls are knobs, push buttons, dials, and
other input devices. Indicators simulate instrument output
devices and display data the block diagram acquires or
generates. It is connected wires to left side on the block
diagram. Indicators are graphs, LEDs, charts and other
displays.
C. Block Diagram
After building the front panel, source code using graphical
representations of functions to control the front panel
objects. The block diagram contains this graphical source
code. Front panel objects appear as terminals on the block
diagram. Wires connect each of the nodes on the block
diagram, including control and indicator terminals,
functions, and structures [7].

VII. CONCLUSIONS
This system is a technique of controlling the speed and
position of DC motor for camera movement using PID
controller in LabVIEW. The input signal is sent from
LabVIEW to Arduino board via serial port for DC motor
control system. The structures and the data flow can be
understood by the graphical representation of program in
LabVIEW. PID control is a very practical and effectivecontrol
method for the control system. It reduces the error of the
system to get the desired speed and position of the motor.
This proposed system can be used for inspection processes
or various industrial applications. This system helps in
maintaining the stability of the system. In this system, real-
time speed and position of a DC motor can be controlled by
using PID controller in LabVIEW.
