This document discusses a presentation on collecting patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) routinely in Canada. The objectives of the presentation were to achieve a shared understanding of PROMs and how they can support health system goals, discuss considerations for a common approach to PROMs collection and use, and assess interest in standardized collection. It provides examples of PROMs collection in different jurisdictions and highlights priorities and barriers to wider adoption in Canada. These include engaging clinicians, defining the purpose, and having jurisdictional support. There was strong interest in forming a working group and pilot projects to advance standardized PROMs collection across Canada.
