Deputy Commissioning Manager/Engineer
Senior Commissioning Engineer with Veolia OTV SA working on the construction hand over, commissioning
and initial start up and testing of a new reverse sea water reverse osmosis desalination plant in Oman. Promoted
to Deputy Commissioning Managerafter 6 months. Primarily responsible to the commissioning director for all
start up, commissioning ,operation and ongoing Maintenance . Carried out hands on pre-commission activities
with the contractors and clients staff, performed alarm and trip testing function group / cause and effect testing
prior to obtaining clients clearance to proceed with live commissioning works. Supervised and lead all the wet
commissioning works proving the HP plant with pressure vessel dummy plugs prior to proceeding with
membrane loading and water production. Controlled all necessary process logic changes to the PLC as the
authorised signature and was in charge of compiling operational / commissioning punch list works to be fed
back to construction for execution. Oversaw and managed the operational permit to work (PTW) systemand
was responsible as the head of HSE for the commissioning department liaison with the construction groups and
contractors. I was responsible for all specialist vendor coordination and mobilization to site and the close out
of the associated purchase orders.Prepared progress reports and forecasts to Paris and attended client progress

Senior Commissioning Engineer
A Senior Commissioning Engineer working on the construction / commissioning/ operations & maintenance
of a new sea water reverse osmosis plant in Saudi Arabia. Carried out systems pre commissioning inspections,
was in charge of all DMF media loading activities and supervised the construction contractor’s labour force to
complete the works. Proved all chemical injection skid sets / calibration and proceeded to conduct all wet
commissioning activities. Successfully demonstrated the process logic to the client’s operational staff for the
DMF, UF, RO systems under live conditions prior to loading membranes and producing 1st water.
Commissioned the post water treatment plant and managed the process logic changes to the SCADA systemto
allow the plant to function correctly within the necessary parameters.Successfully carried out the plant handling
trails, reliability testing and performance testing and handed the plant over to the client. Returned the VWS UK
head office to assist with the project close out reports, lessons learnt and vendor related warrantee matters.
Set up Permit to Work system & safe working practices for client & set out all operation & maintenance
procedures for installed equipment. Initiated Plant operator log sheets & related operator actions/trouble
shooting.

 First Snr. Commissioning Engineer to initiate & operate Plant on 12
hr shift basis.
 Initiated & implemented changes in software for correct automatic
operation of the Plant equipment.

March 2008 – May 2010 Veolia Water Systems (Elga Process Water) 80,200m3 Sea Water Reverse Osmosis Plant, Sur, Oman Deputy Commissioning Manager/Engineer Senior Commissioning Engineer with Veolia OTV SA working on the construction hand over, commissioning and initial start up and testing of a new reverse sea water reverse osmosis desalination plant in Oman. Promoted to Deputy Commissioning Managerafter 6 months. Primarily responsible to the commissioning director for all start up, commissioning ,operation and ongoing Maintenance . Carried out hands on pre-commission activities with the contractors and clients staff, performed alarm and trip testing function group / cause and effect testing prior to obtaining clients clearance to proceed with live commissioning works. Supervised and lead all the wet commissioning works proving the HP plant with pressure vessel dummy plugs prior to proceeding with membrane loading and water production. March 2006 – May 2007 Weir Techna 25,000m3 Sea Water Reverse Osmosis Plant & Post Treatment facility, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia Senior Commissioning Engineer A Senior Commissioning Engineer working on the construction / commissioning/ operations & maintenance of a new sea water reverse osmosis plant in Saudi Arabia. Carried out systems pre commissioning inspections, was in charge of all DMF media loading activities and supervised the construction contractor’s labour force to complete the works. Proved all chemical injection skid sets / calibration and proceeded to conduct all wet commissioning activities. Successfully demonstrated the process logic to the client’s operational staff for the DMF, UF, RO systems under live conditions prior to loading membranes and producing 1st water. Commissioned the post water treatment plant and managed the process logic changes to the SCADA systemto allow the plant to function correctly within the necessary parameters.Successfully carried out the plant handling trails, reliability testing and performance testing and handed the plant over to the client. Shift Charge Engineer/Day Shift Supervisor An Operations Supervisor/Hands On Engineer, responsible for Controlling Operations & Maintenance of a 20MIGD Desalination Plant on a shift basis, 2 evenings, 2 mornings and 2 nights. Promoted to Day Shift Supervisor directly involved in co-ordinating Operations & Maintenance staff during day working hours reporting to the Desal Engineer.
