Imagination And Symbolism In Finding Neverland
Trust, love, and loyalty; thrown out the door to fulfill the needs of a widowed mother and her children.
When James Barrie meets the Davie family in the park one evening, his life takes a hit in order to
bring back the imagination of a child, and his own. In the movie Finding Neverland, James Barrie, an
intelligent, open minded, play writer, pushes away the tedious people in his life that were once
important to him, in order to save his own career, and the Davie boys childhood. James Barrie comes
off as a very mysterious man within the first scenes of the movie. His dark slicked back hair and well
tailored suits give off this impression. James always seems to be dressed in formal attire. His wife,
Mary, seems to be dressed well throughout the movie as well, which tells the viewer that they are a

As James struggles to write a play that will be fancied by the critics, the conflict dwells into a much
larger picture. Society begins to think that James is cheating on his wife, and possibly molesting the
children. He remains very positive and calm, despite the wicked thoughts of his own wife, and the rest
of the community. James continues to be there for the family and does not change his aspects in the
making. James Barrie seems to symbolize the idea of imagination throughout the entire movie. When
times get tough, he quickly comes up with an idea to solve the problem. James constantly tries to get
Peter s imagination flowing and convince his mind into the idea of being a child. James is the
protagonist in this film, or hero. He constantly shows compassion and does anything in his power to
help those in need. The antagonist, or bad guy, in this film is Sylvia s unidentified illness. It
continually threatens her life throughout the majority of the movie, until it eventually takes the last
parent of the Davie boys. James tries to take Sylvia to the doctor multiple times, but she

The Pros And Cons Of The Oscar Pistorius Case
The social media bursted at the seams with comments on the Oscar Pistorius story there were posts on
twitter such as Oscar Pistorius is telling us rubbish and many more tweets about the happenings of the
case. The disputes didn t just start in the court rooms between the lawyers and social media but
became debates over dinner tables, in the office, on public transport in fact everywhere, as everyone
followed the story blow by blow. This created a simultaneous audience in the way this spectacle was
mediated, as people would all sit a watch the court cases wherever they may be. The case also stirred
up other issues in the media not purely just the case but also issues surrounding it such as the South

It has become part of our everyday lives whether it is out of the mundane habit of following the daily
news or from the communication between the people around you. What is seen or heard in the media
can be a conversation starter. The media has also changed drastically through time expanding the
original medium of printed papers and radio broadcasts to those we have today of television and
digital media, including social media such as, Facebook, twitter and blogs. There is a vast variety of
media to choose from not just in form but also in type, whether it is political, celebrity, sport,
international or local. Sometimes you do not know that you are even affected by what is on the media.
Mass media affects societies socially and politically by providing opinions and outlooks on things,
although the masses have the power to control the judgment that they have over it. (Sturken and
Cartwright, 2009) The media is very powerful in today s world where it is conveniently accessible.
Social media gives an invitation for the audiences to leave their input and actions whether it be
positive or negative. The media can be interpreted to be figurative and convincing to its audience and
can possibly have the ability to govern the minds of its reader. (Sturken and Cartwright, 2009) Most of

Characteristics Of Regionalism
Essay 1
American Literature 2328
Fall 2017
Professor Roy Ruane
Tham Paija October 2, 2017
Realism is the portrayal of the reality of everyday life and period of literature between 1850 1900.
Realist fictions speculate myths, assumptions, social norms, sentimentality, collective wisdom, and
prejudices. Realism stories are usually about the middle class people, and it aims to show a truthful
portrayal of truth. Regionalism is a class of realist literature distinguished by closeness to the habits,
language, dialects, manners, history, traditions, beliefs of a particular geographical region.
Regionalism manifests the characters of both realism and romanticism. Romanticism is cultural the
period from 1830 1860 in America. Humankind is naturally good. The characteristics of romanticism
are passion and emotion, nature over the man, spiritual, intuition, and insight. A White Heron, by
Sarah Orne Jewett, is an example of local color because of its realism. Jewett uses characteristics of
regionalism like dialogue to show the contrast between the locals and outsiders, habits, their daily
activities, the dress, features of a place. Editha by William is the story of realism which has many
characteristics of realism like details about war; he uses dialect to hold out the trend of the story, using
middle class peoples character. Dean Howell uses a part of romantic style but all together its

My Goals For My Career Goals
Everyone wonders how his or her life is going to end up; however, I know how my life is going to
unfold because I am aware of my goals, challenges, and strengths. I have many goals for my career
and life that will help me find new paths and dreams to pursue, and I will be able to find my ideal job
and lifestyle. Also, it will allow me to succeed in a topic or subject. Although I do have many personal
challenges which could set me back, I am sure my individual strengths will help me overcome the
setbacks and will help me get farther in life. The qualities and traits that will assist me are being
helpful, preferring a manual or direct approach, and being energetic. These traits are what help me
choose and identify my goals, challenges, and strengths. The career someone chooses is the beginning
of the rest of his or her life because almost every decision, that involves an education or a job, impacts
what that person may become; the most important aspect is to choose the right goals for the right
career. My career goals include a form engineering and biology and either two medical related fields.
My first goal is to incorporate engineering and biology because it supports my desire to have a hands

Living On Campus Vs College Essay
One of the biggest choices a student who has graduated high school and is ready to enroll in college
must make is whether they should go away to school or live at home and drive to classes. Everyone
has a different opinion on this decision, and it is based on the diverse lifestyles that people live. Most
students who commute to school are told that they are not having the full college experience since
they do not live on campus and spend more time at home. On the other hand, those who live on
campus are told that they are wasting their money and they will not be giving the proper focus to their
studies. Both sides of the argument have positives and negatives, so it is difficult to determine which
one is the best for their individual life style. Commuting to school and living on campus have several
similarities and differences they share, such as social, individual, and economical effects. College is
the place where most students meet their lifelong friends and even their future spouses, so the social
impact on each individual is tremendous. Some students, both commuters and those who stay on
campus, choose to isolate themselves from others and do not attempt to be involved on campus or
make any friends. This is a personal decision that the individual could make in either living situation
since the same opportunities are available for all students. Even with the equal opportunity to make
friends, commuters are less likely to be involved in campus activities and only talk

Causes Of Gangs
When the word gangs comes to mind, one can immediately picture a big, tall male figure often
covered with tattoos, piercings, and maybe even a bald headed guy. One might think that gangs only
occur in areas like Los Angeles, Brooklyn, and areas illustrated in movies. Gangs are also becoming
more glorified in the media. For example, while listening to a rap song on the radio, some sort of gang
reference will come up. Gangs can often target the young and the vulnerable due to many reasons,
such as peer pressure and fear. Also, they may target someone who is in need and vulnerable for
falling into gang violence and actions.
Some of the direct causes for individuals to join gangs are due to the social aspect. It can be because
of the peer ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Once you re in, there are only two ways to get out: by dying or running (Martinez Pg 33). Therefore,
sometimes young adults or even adults feel pressured to be involved or to continue being involved in
gangs because they have the fear of being murdered. Sometimes the fear of being left out pressures
them into getting involved in gangs, and they end up leading a violent lifestyle. Since gangs are
typically associated with fear, most individuals can fall into this peer pressure to join a gang due to
fear of the consequences which can range from violence, like threats, to even their death.
Another aspect of feeling accepted can come from family related issues. Young people might feel that
they don t receive enough support or attention at home. They may be trying to escape a negative home
life, or may be looking for a father figure. Gangs often make promises to give unconditional support
and to become the family they never had (Why People Join Gangs). In some cases, individuals who
join gangs can be looking for a way out of their home. This can be due to family issues they are
experiencing, or also they may not be receiving attention in their home. Gangs are often seen in areas
where poor living conditions occur and where social economic statuses are present.Children and teens
living in these circumstances can experience lack of attention simply because the family needs to work
and meet ends meet. This circumstance, which does not seem so malicious, can leave the

William Pennsylvania Research Paper
Many historians think about how Pennsylvania had a big impact on the United States that we call
home today.Pennsylvania was one of the first thirteen colonies which also means it was one of the first
states to come up with laws. The reason Pennsylvania had such a big effect on the United States
history is that our ancestors made fairly good decisions but they also made bad decisions. When
William Penn founded Pennsylvania in 1681 on what was known as the Quaker religion. When people
look at the history Pennsylvania they see the good things our ancestors chose to do when it came to

A Clean Well Lighted Place Hemingway

the night. One of the waiters just wants to go home to bed but he can t do that because the old man
man will not leave. This short story is about how important it is to be neat and clean. One way the
Hemingway shows it is important to be neat and clean is by mentioning how the old man is very drunk
but is still clean. The waiter said that an old man is a nasty thing and the other waiter told him not

By solely reading the tittle of the poem, the reader might generally associate it with symbolism, a
condition where limitation exists instead of freedom. After reading the whole stanza and a little
background of the poet, however, the reader might connect this with the past ethnicity incident
between black and white people of America which in this poem is represented as extended metaphor
in comparison and contrast between caged bird (black people) and free bird (white people). I believe
that this poem depicts a story of the struggle to defend right from persecution. By examining each

The free bird is allowed to think freely out of the box and has all the optimisms and occasions that the
caged bird doesn t. Even, the free bird names the sky his own which seems like it links back to the last
line in the first stanza dares to claim the sky . The nature is also described as a very peaceful and
soothing sighing trees / dawn bright lawn . While the caged bird is painted as image of dreams which
cannot be fulfilled for certain reasons. The line but a caged bird stands on the grave of dreams / his
shadow shouts on a nightmare scream , in which the grave can be the symbol of death, might represent
the circumstance where dreams cannot be fulfilled and become nightmares instead. The metaphor
graves of dreams shows vicious and miserable illustration of hopes. These two stanzas seem like
spotlighting the contrast between the living of two birds. Out of the contrast, auditory devices of
alliteration and assonance are also used here probably to give a continuous flow of the poem such as

Family Systems Theory Vs Family System Theory
I think that the Family System Theory and the Ecological System Theory are two important basic
beliefs about children, families, and family involvement. The system in the family system theory is a
system of people connected together and if one part isn t working things fall apart.
The elements that make up The Family System Theory are structures, rules, and boundaries.
Structures have to deal with behavioral patterns that are repeated made by the family. Rules are used
to agree and deal with situations. Each family has certain rules that are self regulating and work for
certain families. Boundaries are special rules that govern the interactions between subsystems in the
family. It helps families function well.

American Hurricane
A strong hurricane normally has three factors that make it so destructive, Death, Destruction and the

factors, but what factors made the hurricane s impact so powerful, and what was the impact like The
first of three hurricanes that had a large effect on the New England area is considered a strong
hurricane for three particular reasons. The conditions that made it so powerful, the absurd amount of
human error in a weather system almost riddled with ignorance and the blunt and forceful impact it
had on an unexpecting region. To explain the first condition that made the storm a hurricane, one must
go to the Cape Verde Islands (youtube). The islands sit near a one hundred and twenty foot deep pool
of warm water(youtube). Warm water, being a necessity when creating a hurricane makes it obvious
why this hurricane along with so many others, are formed here(youtube). The hurricane then traveled

Why Was Chopin Considered A Music Composer In The 19th...
Music becomes a part in our daily life. We often hear music on radios, in the stores, or with our
smartphone. I love music and want to investigate it more. Therefore, I chose a music composer in the
19th century, Frédéric François Chopin, in order to analyze the development or incarceration of
ideologies to the current century. Frédéric François Chopin, who was born in 1810, was a Polish
composer on the Romantic era. His talent appeared very early, which on the age of seven Chopin
already composed two polonaises. Chopin then went abroad to Europe to learn about musical life and
wanted to be renown. People acclaimed him as piano genius and great composer due to his extremely
success performances. Chopin existed in Romanticism, which is an era

Summary Of A Child s Journey Through Placement
Summary and Evaluation Baby Jack displays a healthy attachment to mom, while Alice shows clear
indicators of a strong and healthy bond with Jack. As indicated in the above chart, Jack is displaying
all the behaviour expected for this stage of development (from 6 12 months), and accordingly, as
related to attachment, he was friendly with me as long as mom was close, and vigilant in ensuring he
was always aware of her location. The fact that Alice is able to soothe Jack quickly and consistently
and that he is able to adjust to a new stranger so well points to development of the confidence that
Vera Fahlberg (2012) maintains in her text, A Child s Journey through Placement, as intrinsically tied
to secure attachment to a primary attachment object ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Freud s theory of personality examined the interplay between the primitive, instinctual urges the id ;
the practical and rational ego ; and the morally attuned superego ; object relations refer to the object of
an instinct , which is the agent through which the instinctual aim is achieved most often a person and,
according to Freud, most often the mother (Ainsworth 1969, p. 1). The psychosexual development
theory that Freud launched reduces our behaviour to mechanistic responses to an instinctive need for
pleasure fueled by the libido and barriers or distortions to the gratification of the libido at various
delineated stages of development were responsible for later problems in life (Kail Zolner 2012, p. 5).
Erik Erikson later added depth to the approach by including more humanistic elements to Freud s

No Witchcraft For Sale Analysis
Throughout No Witchcraft for Sale, Doris Lessing develops a theme surrounding the topics of family,
trust, and religion. Lessing does this by developing a cast of characters including Teddy, the Farquars,
and Gideon. She mentions how the Farquars and their servant Gideon had grown close to each other
after the birth of the Farquars son Teddy. She also explains how the Farquars were a deeply religious
family and that Gideon was a mission boy himself. However, when a scientist arrives from the city to
explore the native knowledge of medicine, Gideon s trust and relationship with the Farquars is tried.
Although Gideon is not a direct relative of the Farquars, the theme of this story is a trial of family and
family s strength to overcome. After the birth of Teddy, Lessing explains how Gideon quickly grew
close to the new child and consequently the Farquars. Lessing explained, Gideon and Teddy were
great friends from the first (Lessing). This is important because Lessing goes on to write about how
Gideon would spend his time after work playing with Teddy and how Gideon helped Teddy take his
first steps.
However, the first trial of the family comes when Teddy frightened Gideon s youngest son with his
scooter, ...he raced in circles around the black child until he was frightened, and fled back to the bush
(Lessing). After Teddy does this Gideon confronts Teddy with concern about why Teddy would do
this. To Gideon s horror Teddy replied with, ...He s only a black boy...

Electroconvulsive Research Paper
To be completely honest, I ve been putting this essay off because I just didn t know what to write
about. Obviously, I have interests and passions, but which ones mean the most to me? Which ones
stand out in my mind? Unusually, my answer came while writing a research paper on
electroconvulsive therapy. Sounds odd right? When I was asked to write a simple research paper on
electroconvulsive therapy for my English class I thought it would be a piece of cake. The paper was to
include information about the history, uses, and how it worked. Yet, instead of following these
guidelines I found myself writing more about the mentally ill individuals it was being used on. I was

Fight Club Book Vs Movie
Mason Witt Media and Film December 5, 2016 For my essay, I chose to compare Fight Club, by
Chuck Palahniuk, published in 1996, with its movie counterpart of the same name, directed by David
Fincher in 1999, starring Brad Pitt and Edward Norton. Overall, the movie was remarkably faithful to
the novel, despite a few scenes being changed, likely to save an overly long runtime. Keeping that in
mind, much of both the book and the movie was open to interpretation by the reader, which makes
citing specific differences between the two stories difficult. The novel Fight Club is about (and
narrated by) a raging insomniac that is never named, who finds that the only way that he can sleep at

Texas Involvement In The Civil Rights Movement

Final exam
History 3330
The darkest times of our nation surrounded two major happenings. The initial occurrence was the
institution of slavery. Second, the struggle for civil rights has plagued our country even through today.
Texas has been a key state in each of these events. Research of the civil rights movement further
illustrates Texas involvement. Key figures, legislation, and issues revealed through research further
exemplify the Texas involvement in the civil rights struggle for African Americans and Latinos. The
fight for civil rights in Texas expanded across social, political, and even religious lines. Similar to
many other states across the south, African Americans and Latinos found themselves ... Show more

The initial incident leading to the case took place at The University of Texas Law School. Herman
Sweatt registered in 1946 to no avail. The postal worker, with the assistance of the NAACP, managed
to reach the United States Supreme Court with the case. By 1950 the court reached a decision in favor
of Herman Sweatt. Despite the victory, it was only a small step toward the complete integration of
public schools. (Morris)
Education
Due to the civil rights battle in Texas, the face of politics was reformed. An era of conservatism was
initiated within Texas politics. Previously, Democrats occupied all major state offices. By 1950 the
momentum shifted. Allan Shiver s governor election initiated the change. The change reached the
presidency. Eisenhower became only the second Republican president to win the state s Electoral
College at the time. (Morris) Lyndon B. Johnson became a figure of interest during the civil rights era.
He was considered to be a progressive, often considered to be reminiscent of Lincoln. (Orozco)
Following the untimely death of President John F. Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson inherited office
becoming the 36th president of the United States. From January 1965 to April 1968 Johnson
implemented more legislation in regards to civil rights than any other president past or present.
(Guglielmo) The most notable laws passed by Johnson were enacted in 1957, 1960, and 1964.

The Role Of Temperance In Jacksonian America
Temperance, the moderation of consumption of alcohol, created conflict between different sets of
ideas and interests because the beginning of American history was heavy with alcohol use. Alcohol
was the meeting point of many. The Marine Corps was started alone in a tavern. Creating this idea of
being more moral because one doesn t drink set people off. As written in our textbook, one person s
sin is another s pleasure or cherished custom (449). The emerging middle class felt they had more
control of themselves because they didn t drink. They brought religion in it to also make some of the
public feel they were sinners for participating in a part of their culture. One large issue with
temperance was the heavy Irish and German immigrants. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

How The Film Industry Has A Huge Budget For The City Over...
PART 2 CIRCULAR ECONOMY
Nowadays people know the price of everything and the value of nothing Oscar Wilde, 1890
Again, my concern started with a personal experience. In 2014, I was working as an Experience
Designer for Universal Pictures NBC International Ltd. .
The film industry has a huge budget to spend on the building of visual artefacts. However, I was quite
shocked by the squandering of resources I witnessed. There was no care or awareness of sustainability.
Also, I expected designers and production to work much more closely together, which would have
prevented much waste in the first place. Yet, the film industry being as hierarchical as it is, production
never got back to me.
According to the London Data store,
London is already the third busiest city in filmmaking in the world, behind LA and New York. This
booming industry has brought £770m of investment to the city over the last four years.

Analysis Of Tom Wacaster s Book Galatians
In his book, Studies in Galatians, Tom Wacaster addresses a very vital need: to provide common level,
sound commentaries of the Bible. Books such as this are very beneficial, as they assist an average
member of the church to expand their understanding of God s word. This, as Wacaster stated himself,
was his goal in writing this very commentary. If [Studies in Galatians] serves to give just one precious
soul a better understanding of this wonderful letter...then it will have been worth the time spent in
preparing and publishing (3, 4). Wacaster has surely accomplished this worthy objective and more
with this valuable book. Wacaster s book, which is (as the title suggests) centered on Paul s epistle to
the Galatians, is very obviously intended to the common level, average audience. Wacaster does not
delve into complex conversations of textual variants, manuscript discrepancies, and disputations of
authorship, nor does he use vocabulary or phraseology that is above the understanding of most
individuals. Rather, Wacaster is simple, straightforward, and effective in communicating his points on
the wonderful book of Galatians. With many commentaries that are written at a graduate and scholarly
level, a more basic approach is much appreciated and needed. Wacaster took a very direct approach in
organizing Studies in Galatians. It is setup as a verse by verse commentary, with each verse being
given in the American Standard Version and then followed by the author s discussion of

Summary Of Killing Hope By William Blum

Examining U.S. Motivation in the Guatemalan Coup
In William Blum s Book, Killing Hope, Blum claims that the U.S. backed a CIA overthrow of the
Guatemalan Government in 1954.. Blum challenges that the motivation for the coup was not based on
a true belief that Guatemala s President Jacobo Arbenz was leaning towards communism, and alludes
to the the idea that the true motivation for the Coup was the threat to economic gains to The United
Fruit Company. Research of the Coup shows that Blum is correct in that the United States was indeed
behind the overthrow of Arbenz. However, Blum does not allow for doubt in that Arbenz s social
reforms and political actions could have truly appeared as communist to the United States. Although
hindsight and time reveal the coup to be morally and politically wrong, it is valid to recognize that at
that time in history, the actions of Guatemala s President, coupled with private interests and radical
beliefs about what constituted communism, could have sincerely convinced the U.S. government that
there was a true communist threat in Guatemala. After World War II, the United States Cold War
policy of Soviet Containment fostered a borderline hysterical fear of communism in America. This
fear created an atmosphere of U.S. hypervigilance towards any actions that could appear remotely
communist. The U.S. supported Coup in Guatemala was mostly a result of strong anti Communist

Where the Red Fern Grows tells about a man named Billy Colman, whose mind drifted away back on

hunting dogs of his own more than anything in the world. He worked very hard by selling wares and
saved money to pursue his dreams. After two years, he finally had enough money for two dogs. Billy
made a difficult journey to get his dogs. He loved his dogs very much and spent almost a whole time
to train his dogs. Eventhough there were many problems came to him and his dogs, they could passed

Second, in the book Little Ann was known to be smarter than Old Dan, but in the movie they looked
alike and had no difference from their appearance and characters. Third, the book tells about how
Billy caught the first coon to train his dogs, while the movie did not show such an action. The next
difference is the chapter 11 of the book tells about Little Ann who almost got drowned in the icy water
and Billy could save her owing to his old lantern, but we couldn t see it in the movie. Another
different thing is when Billy and The Pritchards boys, Rainie and Rubin, had a bet to tree the ghost
coon. The book mentions that they betted two dollars for it, but 5 dollars in the movie. It is said in the
book how Little Ann won the best looking hound contest, but the process didn t appear in the movie.
The last thing is in the book Billy got 4 coons, so he could win the contest, while in the movie it is
said that Billy didn t win the championship but he was given the title by Mr. Bellington, the one who
won the match. Both the novel and the movie have the strengths and weaknesses. In my opinion, it is
more clearly explained about the strong bonds between Billy and his dogs in the book than in the
movie. I can really understand how much Billy loved his dogs, and the expression of love was more in
the book than in the movie. The book gives more detailed information than the movie. However, I

My Culture Of Trinidad
The culture of Trinidad is very different from my home culture of Findlay, Ohio. However, I did
observe a few similarities including the language. Although you may not be able to tell at first, the
native language in Trinidad is english. The people can be hard to understand because they talk really
fast with a strong dialect. On the other hand, I could go on and on about the differences of the culture
of Trinidad from my own. For instance, the locals are very aggressive drivers who only use road signs
as a suggestion. In Trinidad, cutting off other people, driving in and out of traffic, and occasionally
stopping at stop signs and red lights is completely normal. Their driving is very aggressive, yet every
driver that I rode with was very calm. They didn t have the typical road rage like we do in America.
There is always a lot of traffic in Trinidad, especially in the morning and in the late afternoons. The
reason for this traffic is due to the amount of people that live on the island Trinidad is populated with
about 1.2 million people. The island can fit into Ohio over 22 and a half times. At night, the island is
covered in lights. At first, it looked like a big city with lights everywhere, but it turned out that it was a
bunch of houses. There are numerous houses everywhere to house the population that I was amazed
by the amount of light on the island. My culture back home could greatly benefit from the laid back
lifestyle of Trinidad. In America, we

Difference Between Education And Social Class
Social class in education can be distinguished in many ways such as power, authority, and wealth. In
which these contributed to children inequalities education, since children with low income have less
possibilities. Since ancient times people have been debating whether social class is a factor of a child
education. In the article, Education and inequality: historical and sociological approaches to schooling
and social stratification , says that, Numerous sociological studies have documented the extent of
achievement gaps, in the United States and internationally.4 In the simplest terms, students from
higher social classes have higher achievement levels than students from lower social classes ,(Susan F,
2).This quote explained how is the gap between lower class and social class. We can see that this is an
important issue to those young people who want to improve their style of live and be a better someone
or a better person in the future have less opportunities than those of the higher class and these people
from the lower class feel unfair that just because you are born with a gold spoon does not mean, you

Does Energy Have To Do With Acid Rain Essay
November 1st 2015
To the federal government:
The purpose behind this letter to you is to inform you with the big issue that is taking place in our
planet, which is the effect of acid rain on lakes and streams (aquatic systems).
Acid rain occurs because of the dissolution of acidic oxides in the atmosphere. When these two
compounds are released into the air, they form acid rain, which are nitrogen oxide and sulfur dioxide S
+ O2 SO2, which is produced by natural means, like volcanoes and industrial processes such as the
burning of fossil fuels (brown coal) C + O2 CO2. The two compounds dissolve in water and are
carried very far by wind where they become part of snow and fog. Oxides from sulfur and nitrogen
react with moisture in the clouds ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Though acid rain is a big issue, there are ways it can be prevented. One of the biggest ways acid rain
can be stopped is by lowering your energy consumption. Now you might think, what does energy have
to do with acid rain ? It actually has a big affect. By switching off the lights when you leave a room,
turning off your computers televisions when they aren t being used. Closing the air conditioner/heaters
when you leave your home can make a big difference, because when less electricity is used, the
pollution from power plants decreases. Power plants also known as power station is an electric
generating station
Another way acid rain can be prevented is by using fewer cars! There are so many different ways of
transportation. You can use bikes if you aren t going a long distance, you can use a train, if you live
near a friends house you can car pool, and this all decreases reliance on fossil fuels. Cars also emit
carbon dioxide, which contributes to global warming which is affecting the environment. As the
temperature rises, more rain falls, which increases the risk of heavier flooding. Ice is melting, and that
is dangerous for future sea level rise. Also many countries already have very low water, and when the
climate changes it changes precipitation patterns, and increasing droughts, which is dangerous because
people are running out of water. But a positive impact is that electric cars are better for the
environment because they only use battery power, meaning there is no burning of gasoline or other

An approach of Energy Efficient and secure data transfer...
An Ad hoc network is a wireless network. It uses high frequency radio waves for nodes or device
communications which increase mobility but decrease the ranges rather than using communication
cables between the nodes. Ad hoc network consists of no infrastructure and no fixed base station and
centralized administrator. So, each node in this network act as router or host for direct communication
with each other. Then nodes are freely move from one place to another place and it forms the own
topology themself. And each nodes are powered by batteries with a limited energy, wherein each node
stops functioning when batteries get sanitations. For energy efficient and maximize lifetime of nodes
we introduce techniques aimed to minimize power consumption of all nodes by using multicast
routing protocol. Multicast routing protocol is independent of unicast routing protocol. Multicast
source node or root node will transmit packets or data to number of receivers node in the network. The
source node first time broadcast the message and second time it unicast the packet to destination.
Before transmitting packets to all receiver nodes the source node first identifies the multicast group
nodes in that network. So we introduce techniques to identify the neighbor nodes for multicast group
using distance of each node.
2.1 Identification of neighbor node: Multicast routing protocol consists of unremitting sending the
message from source to multiple destinations. It is used in ad hoc

Spanish Caste System Essay
Through the racial caste system of the Spanish Colonial Era, it is known that the people of mixed race
and dark skin of the time were viewed as inferior by the Spaniards. This inferiority complex was
mainly due to one group of people oppressing another. The irony behind this instance is that it was the
minority oppressing the majority. Another factor behind the success of the caste system was
internalized oppression, or, in other words, one group of people oppressing themselves. Through
accepting this perspective of thinking and contributing to the society that surrounded them, these
mixed race people ended up adding fuel to the fire of their oppression. According to Martha
Menchaca, author of Recovering History, Reconstructing Race, self oppression came because of the
vacancy of leadership positions in New Spain. At the core, this vacancy gave those who were not pure
Spaniards the opportunity to achieve a greater sense of social acceptance. In her book, Menchaca
states that while these people of color did, to an extent, succeed in improving their quality of life, the
tyrannical narrative was never really changed. Furthermore, it was this search for a better life that
created the foundation for what is now Mexico today.
People of color were oppressed from the very beginning of the colonial movement. The caste system
that the Spaniards created used race as the foundation for justifying subjugation. Through the caste
system, one could see that people with lighter skin and

Moons Of The Terrestrial Planets
Moons of the Terrestrial Planets
2.2. Moons of Mars
2.2.1 Introduction
Mars orbits at a distance of 1.52 AU from the Sun. Mars has two natural satellites, discovered by
Asaph Hall in 1877. The innermost of these, Phobos, is about 22.2 km in diameter (27.0×21.6× 18.8)
and orbits the planet with a period far less than Mars s period of rotation 7.7 hr. (only one quarter that
of Deimos), causing it to rise in the west and set in the east(Born Duxbury 1975). Thus, it makes more
than 3 orbits in a single Martian day. As it orbits, it slowly spirals in towards the Martian surface.
Phobos is drawing closer to Mars by 2 meters every one hundred years, and it is predicted that it will
collide with the planet /or destroyed in the atmosphere. Phobos has a semi major axis 9376 km (2.76
Mars radii), eccentricity 0.0152 and orbit mean inclination 1.1o (relative to Mars equator).
The outer satellite, Deimos, is about 12.6 km in diameter (15.0×12.2× 11.0) and orbital period about
30 hr. In fact, Deimos is the smallest known moon in the Solar System. Like our own Moon, Deimos
orbits far enough away from Mars that it is being, slowly pushed farther and farther away from the
planet. Deimos has a semi major axis 23463.2 km (6.92 Mars radii), eccentricity 0.0003 and orbit
mean inclination 2.4o (relative to Mars equator).
Both Deimos and Phobos have very circular orbits, which lie almost exactly in Mars s equatorial
plane. They are both small, irregular objects comparable in size to the

Writing An Essay On Cultural Identity
Cultural Identity Essay Cultural identity is the basis in which identification is used to express different
aspects pertaining to identity and heritage. A person s cultural identity may be created by social
organization, as well as traditions and customs within their lives. The two aspects that construct my
cultural identity are the frequent chores I must complete every day in order to fulfill my behavioral
expectations, and the youth group I attend weekly. These aspects are important to my family and me.
Therefore, my identity has an immeasurable effect on my upbringing into this multi cultural world I
live in. Day in and day out, I have jobs and duties I must complete in order to maintain my behavioral
expectations. After my lengthy day at school, and my tiresome soccer practice, I come home to find a
bright colored sticky note, with a list of varied chores I must do in order to assist my family. The list
of chores always includes, cleaning my room, which my Mom is a stickler for. Cleaning my room is a
backbreaking, difficult task I must complete in order to continue to play sports and do the outdoor
activities I love. Although cleaning my room is a challenging task, due to the scattered books, pile of
clothes, and water bottles covering the floor, cleaning my room will establish organizational skills and
persevering skills that are vital in the upbringing of my cultural identity. Even though cleaning my
room is labeled on a sticky note every day, doing the dishes is

So what is it that makes this game win over millions? Is it the thrill of the game? Or is it the poker
chips we play with? To be honest it s a bit of both but probably the biggest factor that makes poker so
much fun is unpredictability. Of course if you re a math whiz you can increase your chances of
winning by working out the probability of your hand winning a round, but not all people are like Ben
Campbell, the mastermind in the movie 21 who cheated the system with his fast math calculations to
win big while gambling. So what makes you sure that your hand is going to win as compared to your
opponents? Well firstly if you have a high combination of cards then you win, that s how the game
goes. But sometimes you don t know whether your opponent has a higher combination of cards or is
he just bluffing. Well nobody can tell what your opponent has. You can only make an estimate of what
that person might possibly have. In order to do that you have to focus extremely carefully at every
move your opponent makes: from his eye movements to his betting. Every move should be monitored.
There are many ways poker players do that. The first thing they do when the first three cards are
turned is to increase the bet, regardless of the card combination one has. If someone folds then they
are automatically out of the picture for that round, but if someone calls then you can figure out that

Movement Framing Examples
The act of framing is without a doubt a tactical strategy. During the organization of a social
movement, framing was as a way to assign meaning (McAdam, 339) or look at events in ways that
could inspire support from both group members and the common people while subjugating the
opposing party. McAdam (339) states, Mediating between opportunity and action are people and the...
meanings they attach to their situations. The events that occur during the rise of a social movement all
present opportunities to help members achieve their goal but in order to even act upon these
opportunities, the people involved must frame their situation in a way that will draw support to their
cause. During the Civil Rights movement, the use of framing, on both sides, greatly influenced the
outcome of social reform. McAdam states that there are six strategies social movement groups can
employ to bring about change. In the case of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr and the Southern Christian
Leadership Conference (SCLC), even though blacks could now vote legal subterfuge and extralegal
intimidation prevented them from taking part of political reform in the south (McAdam, 345). This
intimidation extended as far as murder to prevent the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

new and profound, mixing Christian and Democratic ideas; the most important, framing the movement

Through the work of many people, more is known about other cultures values than perhaps ever
before. Geert Hofstede is one of these people, and his work has allowed for a greater understanding of
cultural values across a wide range of dimensions. His work has grown from four dimensions to six,
and as more information is gathered this will perhaps increase as well. In the first section, the first four
dimensions of cultural values will be discussed briefly. Next, all six dimensions will be given for the
United States (US) and Japan, and will be considered according to the highest and lowest differences
between dimensions of these two countries cultural values. In addition, considerations for applying
motivational theories toward individuals from these two countries will also be discussed. Lastly, a
single dimension will be selected for each country and a recommendation given accordingly that could
help improve performance.
Four Dimensions of Cultural Values Latham (2012) outlines four of the broad categories of Hofstede s
cultural dimensions, including low high power distance, individualism collectivism, masculinity
femininity, and uncertainty avoidance, which will be discussed here. Power distance can be thought of
as the extent in which members of a culture accept inequality

Anti-Stalking Case Study
Robert John Bardo became obsessed with the actress Rebecca Schaeffer in the 1980s. He attempted to
visit her on set at Burbank Studios while she was filming twice but was turned away by gate security
each time. After he saw her in Class Struggle in Beverly Hills, a movie in which her character was in
bed with a man, he was disgusted because in his eyes she had become just another Hollywood whore.
He made a deadly plan and set it in motion. He asked his brother to procure him a gun and obtained
her address from the Department of Motor Vehicles. One July morning he knocked on her door with a
copy of Catcher and the Rye. He introduced himself as her biggest fan and asked her to sign the book.
She signed the book, thanked him, and asked ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Stalking has been defined by J. Reid Meloy, recognized as the authority on stalking, as [Stalking is] an
abnormal or long term pattern of threat or harassment directed towards a specific individual (Bocij,
2004, p. 6). Pathé and Mullen define stalking as A constellation of behaviors in which one individual
inflicts on another repeated unwanted intrusions and communications (Mullen, Pathé, Purcell, 2000, p.
7). In general stalking can include several components: 1) an undesirable habit or conduct such as
following, spying, or making unwanted phone calls; 2) the target of these attentions, or a reasonable
person, would feel fear or a similar emotion such as distress, annoyance, or torment; and 3) there is a
sincere danger of harm to the target of the attentions (Nobles, Reyns, Fox, Fisher, 2014).
Cyberstalking has even less cohesion in its legal definition. Generally it includes the use of electronic
communication to do any of the following things in two on two or more occasions: communicating
with an individual after being asked to stop; harassing, annoying, or tormenting an individual; making
unwelcome sexual advances towards an individual; and threatening an individual with physical
violence (Reyns, 2012). It has also been defined

In Paul, the Spirit, and the People of God, Gordon Fee outlines a theology of the Spirit in the Divine
Trinity, the basis within Scripture for the experience of the Spirit, and the interaction of the two. Fee, a
Pentecostal scholar, redefines the terms of discussion about the Holy Spirit in a way that transcends
today s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Finally, his call to know and experience God in a vitally Trinitarian way by the Spirit captures the very
essence of Paul s ministry and encapsulates the entire thesis of the book.
Fee completes his writings with his own conclusion: The Spirit must be reinstated into the Trinity,
where he has never been excluded in our creeds and liturgies, but has been practically excluded from
the experienced life of the church. Moreover, he argues that the very nature of the Triune God, as
being three yet one, must become the character of the church both in its oneness and in its function, by
the very application of the Spirit s threefold work of the Trinity. Without this experience, the witness
of the churches to the Resurrection today will remain generally ineffective in comparison with the
witness of the early Christians, though they lived in a culture very similar to ours. As the title of Fee s
book emphasizes, we are meant to find God s Spirit empowering for us in the present era while at the
same time awaiting the consummation of Christ s final return.
INTERACTION: FEE/ST. AUGUSTINE
As we look at the writings of both St. Gregory and Gordon Fee, we see both similarities and
differences. While Fee places more emphasis on the Holy Spirit in connection with Paul s ministry, St.
Gregory uses his eloquence to specifically defend the concept of the Holy Spirit

against the heresy of fellow clergy who deny the third person of the Trinity. Gregory states his

When James Barrie meets the Davie family in the park one evening, his life takes a hit in order to bring back the imagination of a child, and his own. In the movie Finding Neverland, James Barrie, an intelligent, open minded, play writer, pushes away the tedious people in his life that were once important to him, in order to save his own career, and the Davie boys childhood. James Barrie comes off as a very mysterious man within the first scenes of the movie. His dark slicked back hair and well tailored suits give off this impression. James always seems to be dressed in formal attire. His wife, Mary, seems to be dressed well throughout the movie as well, which tells the viewer that they are a wealthy ... James continues to be there for the family and does not change his aspects in the making. James Barrie seems to symbolize the idea of imagination throughout the entire movie. When times get tough, he quickly comes up with an idea to solve the problem. James constantly tries to get Peter s imagination flowing and convince his mind into the idea of being a child. James is the protagonist in this film, or hero. He constantly shows compassion and does anything in his power to help those in need. The antagonist, or bad guy, in this film is Sylvia s unidentified illness. • 8. Living On Campus Vs College Essay One of the biggest choices a student who has graduated high school and is ready to enroll in college must make is whether they should go away to school or live at home and drive to classes. Everyone has a different opinion on this decision, and it is based on the diverse lifestyles that people live. Most students who commute to school are told that they are not having the full college experience since they do not live on campus and spend more time at home. On the other hand, those who live on campus are told that they are wasting their money and they will not be giving the proper focus to their studies. Both sides of the argument have positives and negatives, so it is difficult to determine which one is the best for their individual life style. Commuting to school and living on campus have several similarities and differences they share, such as social, individual, and economical effects. College is the place where most students meet their lifelong friends and even their future spouses, so the social impact on each individual is tremendous. Some students, both commuters and those who stay on campus, choose to isolate themselves from others and do not attempt to be involved on campus or make any friends. This is a personal decision that the individual could make in either living situation since the same opportunities are available for all students. Even with the equal opportunity to make friends, commuters are less likely to be involved in campus activities and only talk ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Therefore, sometimes young adults or even adults feel pressured to be involved or to continue being involved in gangs because they have the fear of being murdered. Sometimes the fear of being left out pressures them into getting involved in gangs, and they end up leading a violent lifestyle. Since gangs are typically associated with fear, most individuals can fall into this peer pressure to join a gang due to fear of the consequences which can range from violence, like threats, to even their death. Another aspect of feeling accepted can come from family related issues. Young people might feel that they don t receive enough support or attention at home. They may be trying to escape a negative home life, or may be looking for a father figure. Gangs often make promises to give unconditional support and to become the family they never had (Why People Join Gangs). In some cases, individuals who join gangs can be looking for a way out of their home. This can be due to family issues they are experiencing, or also they may not be receiving attention in their home. • 25. No Witchcraft For Sale Analysis Throughout No Witchcraft for Sale, Doris Lessing develops a theme surrounding the topics of family, trust, and religion. Lessing does this by developing a cast of characters including Teddy, the Farquars, and Gideon. She mentions how the Farquars and their servant Gideon had grown close to each other after the birth of the Farquars son Teddy. She also explains how the Farquars were a deeply religious family and that Gideon was a mission boy himself. However, when a scientist arrives from the city to explore the native knowledge of medicine, Gideon s trust and relationship with the Farquars is tried. Although Gideon is not a direct relative of the Farquars, the theme of this story is a trial of family and family s strength to overcome. After the birth of Teddy, Lessing explains how Gideon quickly grew close to the new child and consequently the Farquars. Lessing explained, Gideon and Teddy were great friends from the first (Lessing). This is important because Lessing goes on to write about how Gideon would spend his time after work playing with Teddy and how Gideon helped Teddy take his first steps. However, the first trial of the family comes when Teddy frightened Gideon s youngest son with his scooter, ...he raced in circles around the black child until he was frightened, and fled back to the bush (Lessing). After Teddy does this Gideon confronts Teddy with concern about why Teddy would do this. To Gideon s horror Teddy replied with, ...He s only a black boy... ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Overall, the movie was remarkably faithful to the novel, despite a few scenes being changed, likely to save an overly long runtime. Keeping that in mind, much of both the book and the movie was open to interpretation by the reader, which makes citing specific differences between the two stories difficult. PART 2 CIRCULAR ECONOMY Nowadays people know the price of everything and the value of nothing Oscar Wilde, 1890 Again, my concern started with a personal experience. In 2014, I was working as an Experience Designer for Universal Pictures NBC International Ltd. . The film industry has a huge budget to spend on the building of visual artefacts. However, I was quite shocked by the squandering of resources I witnessed. There was no care or awareness of sustainability. Also, I expected designers and production to work much more closely together, which would have prevented much waste in the first place. Yet, the film industry being as hierarchical as it is, production never got back to me. • 32. Analysis Of Tom Wacaster s Book Galatians In his book, Studies in Galatians, Tom Wacaster addresses a very vital need: to provide common level, sound commentaries of the Bible. Books such as this are very beneficial, as they assist an average member of the church to expand their understanding of God s word. This, as Wacaster stated himself, was his goal in writing this very commentary. If [Studies in Galatians] serves to give just one precious soul a better understanding of this wonderful letter...then it will have been worth the time spent in preparing and publishing (3, 4). Wacaster has surely accomplished this worthy objective and more with this valuable book. Wacaster s book, which is (as the title suggests) centered on Paul s epistle to the Galatians, is very obviously intended to the common level, average audience. Wacaster does not delve into complex conversations of textual variants, manuscript discrepancies, and disputations of authorship, nor does he use vocabulary or phraseology that is above the understanding of most individuals. Rather, Wacaster is simple, straightforward, and effective in communicating his points on the wonderful book of Galatians. With many commentaries that are written at a graduate and scholarly level, a more basic approach is much appreciated and needed. Blum challenges that the motivation for the coup was not based on a true belief that Guatemala s President Jacobo Arbenz was leaning towards communism, and alludes to the the idea that the true motivation for the Coup was the threat to economic gains to The United Fruit Company. Research of the Coup shows that Blum is correct in that the United States was indeed behind the overthrow of Arbenz. However, Blum does not allow for doubt in that Arbenz s social reforms and political actions could have truly appeared as communist to the United States. Although hindsight and time reveal the coup to be morally and politically wrong, it is valid to recognize that at that time in history, the actions of Guatemala s President, coupled with private interests and radical beliefs about what constituted communism, could have sincerely convinced the U.S. government that there was a true communist threat in Guatemala. After World War II, the United States Cold War policy of Soviet Containment fostered a borderline hysterical fear of communism in America. This fear created an atmosphere of U.S. hypervigilance towards any actions that could appear remotely communist. The U.S. supported Coup in Guatemala was mostly a result of strong anti Communist ... Their driving is very aggressive, yet every driver that I rode with was very calm. They didn t have the typical road rage like we do in America. Since ancient times people have been debating whether social class is a factor of a child education. In the article, Education and inequality: historical and sociological approaches to schooling and social stratification , says that, Numerous sociological studies have documented the extent of achievement gaps, in the United States and internationally.4 In the simplest terms, students from higher social classes have higher achievement levels than students from lower social classes ,(Susan F, 2).This quote explained how is the gap between lower class and social class. Does Energy Have To Do With Acid Rain Essay November 1st 2015 To the federal government: The purpose behind this letter to you is to inform you with the big issue that is taking place in our planet, which is the effect of acid rain on lakes and streams (aquatic systems). Acid rain occurs because of the dissolution of acidic oxides in the atmosphere. When these two compounds are released into the air, they form acid rain, which are nitrogen oxide and sulfur dioxide S + O2 SO2, which is produced by natural means, like volcanoes and industrial processes such as the burning of fossil fuels (brown coal) C + O2 CO2. The two compounds dissolve in water and are carried very far by wind where they become part of snow and fog. Oxides from sulfur and nitrogen react with moisture in the clouds ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Though acid rain is a big issue, there are ways it can be prevented. One of the biggest ways acid rain can be stopped is by lowering your energy consumption. Now you might think, what does energy have to do with acid rain ? It actually has a big affect. By switching off the lights when you leave a room, turning off your computers televisions when they aren t being used. Closing the air conditioner/heaters when you leave your home can make a big difference, because when less electricity is used, the pollution from power plants decreases. Power plants also known as power station is an electric generating station Another way acid rain can be prevented is by using fewer cars! There are so many different ways of transportation. You can use bikes if you aren t going a long distance, you can use a train, if you live near a friends house you can car pool, and this all decreases reliance on fossil fuels. Cars also emit carbon dioxide, which contributes to global warming which is affecting the environment. As the temperature rises, more rain falls, which increases the risk of heavier flooding. Ice is melting, and that is dangerous for future sea level rise. Also many countries already have very low water, and when the climate changes it changes precipitation patterns, and increasing droughts, which is dangerous because people are running out of water. But a positive impact is that electric cars are better for the environment because they only use battery power, meaning there is no burning of gasoline or other fossil ... It uses high frequency radio waves for nodes or device communications which increase mobility but decrease the ranges rather than using communication cables between the nodes. Ad hoc network consists of no infrastructure and no fixed base station and centralized administrator. So, each node in this network act as router or host for direct communication with each other. Then nodes are freely move from one place to another place and it forms the own topology themself. And each nodes are powered by batteries with a limited energy, wherein each node stops functioning when batteries get sanitations. For energy efficient and maximize lifetime of nodes we introduce techniques aimed to minimize power consumption of all nodes by using multicast routing protocol. Multicast routing protocol is independent of unicast routing protocol. Multicast source node or root node will transmit packets or data to number of receivers node in the network. The source node first time broadcast the message and second time it unicast the packet to destination. Before transmitting packets to all receiver nodes the source node first identifies the multicast group nodes in that network. So we introduce techniques to identify the neighbor nodes for multicast group using distance of each node. 2.1 Identification of neighbor node: Multicast routing protocol consists of unremitting sending the message from source to multiple destinations. • 40. Spanish Caste System Essay Through the racial caste system of the Spanish Colonial Era, it is known that the people of mixed race and dark skin of the time were viewed as inferior by the Spaniards. This inferiority complex was mainly due to one group of people oppressing another. The irony behind this instance is that it was the minority oppressing the majority. Another factor behind the success of the caste system was internalized oppression, or, in other words, one group of people oppressing themselves. Through accepting this perspective of thinking and contributing to the society that surrounded them, these mixed race people ended up adding fuel to the fire of their oppression. According to Martha Menchaca, author of Recovering History, Reconstructing Race, self oppression came because of the vacancy of leadership positions in New Spain. At the core, this vacancy gave those who were not pure Spaniards the opportunity to achieve a greater sense of social acceptance. In her book, Menchaca states that while these people of color did, to an extent, succeed in improving their quality of life, the tyrannical narrative was never really changed. Furthermore, it was this search for a better life that created the foundation for what is now Mexico today. People of color were oppressed from the very beginning of the colonial movement. The caste system that the Spaniards created used race as the foundation for justifying subjugation. Through the caste system, one could see that people with lighter skin and ... Mars has two natural satellites, discovered by Asaph Hall in 1877. The innermost of these, Phobos, is about 22.2 km in diameter (27.0×21.6× 18.8) and orbits the planet with a period far less than Mars s period of rotation 7.7 hr. (only one quarter that of Deimos), causing it to rise in the west and set in the east(Born Duxbury 1975). Thus, it makes more than 3 orbits in a single Martian day. As it orbits, it slowly spirals in towards the Martian surface. Phobos is drawing closer to Mars by 2 meters every one hundred years, and it is predicted that it will collide with the planet /or destroyed in the atmosphere. Phobos has a semi major axis 9376 km (2.76 Mars radii), eccentricity 0.0152 and orbit mean inclination 1.1o (relative to Mars equator). McAdam states that there are six strategies social movement groups can employ to bring about change. In the case of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr and the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC), even though blacks could now vote legal subterfuge and extralegal intimidation prevented them from taking part of political reform in the south (McAdam, 345). In general stalking can include several components: 1) an undesirable habit or conduct such as following, spying, or making unwanted phone calls; 2) the target of these attentions, or a reasonable person, would feel fear or a similar emotion such as distress, annoyance, or torment; and 3) there is a sincere danger of harm to the target of the attentions (Nobles, Reyns, Fox, Fisher, 2014). Finally, his call to know and experience God in a vitally Trinitarian way by the Spirit captures the very essence of Paul s ministry and encapsulates the entire thesis of the book. Fee completes his writings with his own conclusion: The Spirit must be reinstated into the Trinity, where he has never been excluded in our creeds and liturgies, but has been practically excluded from the experienced life of the church. Moreover, he argues that the very nature of the Triune God, as being three yet one, must become the character of the church both in its oneness and in its function, by the very application of the Spirit s threefold work of the Trinity. Without this experience, the witness of the churches to the Resurrection today will remain generally ineffective in comparison with the witness of the early Christians, though they lived in a culture very similar to ours. As the title of Fee s book emphasizes, we are meant to find God s Spirit empowering for us in the present era while at the same time awaiting the consummation of Christ s final return.
