What Is The Theme Of The Poem Stopping By Woods On A Snowy...
Often, a poet uses special intensity through the expression of feelings and ideas by the use of
distinctive style and rhythm. In his poem Stopping by the woods on a snowy evening, Robert Frost

On this day, the stranger and the horse come across the woods that the stranger finds intriguing and
finds himself struggling with reality. The stranger begins to question his sanity of understanding what
is right to do considering that he has obligations to the village and he or she wants to get into the wood
to have some enjoyment. However, the horse s bell brings him or her to reality, and he has to make a
decision based on self knowledge of his situation and duties ahead. The struggle in the poems starts
when the stranger stumbles upon the woods on his or her way to the village. Despite having mixed
feelings towards the woods and his obligations to the society, he clearly knows what he has to do, and
that is to go back to his village and serve them. The woods immediately attracts the stranger, and he
knows that the owner of the woods cannot see him or his horse so he stays to watch (the) woods fill up

While developing a clear solution may seem like an easy thing to do, it may actually be quite
complicated. It may help you to develop categories equivalent to those that may later be required in
the final proposal (e.g., objectives, rationale, personnel, management, timeline, products, budget,
evaluation, guarantees of assurance, dissemination of results). While you will not be able to provide
many details at this core document stage, you must have a clear idea of:
who will perform what actions (personnel and management),
how long it will take to achieve the solution (timeline),
how much it will cost (budget), and
what resources you will need (approval, funds, equipment, personnel, or other resources).
Good proposals present strong links between the objectives of the plan (what you hope to
accomplish), the activities that will allow you to accomplish those objectives, and the means by which
you will determine how well your project is going. The methods of evaluation also link directly back
to the objectives; this means that as you write an objective, you must make certain its degree of
achievement can be measured. You might consider

The Effect Of Nitrogen On The Growth Of A Sapling Essay
Introduction
Nitrogen is an essential nutrient for plant growth, being a key component in the process of
photosynthesis and is a part of the chlorophyll molecule. Nitrogen acts to increase the amount of the
green chlorophyll in plant leaves which allows them to absorb the optimum amount of sunlight by
increasing the surface area of leaves to hold the chlorophyll and optimum amounts of nitrogen in a
plant allow it to produce enough foliage in order for it to successfully photosynthesise efficiently,
therefore producing the right energy it needs to function.
I am interested to see how the levels of nitrogen in the young saplings, measured from the leaves of
randomly chosen plants, affects the rate at which they grow around the radius of their trunks and
whether there is a significant relationship between the two. I would expect that certain levels of
nitrogen are the most optimal for the growth of a sapling where enough is present to allow the most
efficient production of photosynthesis in its leaves as the energy produced in this process would allow
growth throughout the rest of the plant. At very low levels I could expect growth rates of saplings to
be very slow or not at all and as the nitrogen levels in a sapling s leaves increases for the growth rate
to increase to a certain extent. There would however be likely a point where an increase in nitrogen
levels does not mean a higher growth rate as too much can be detrimental to other components in a
sapling s health,

How Database Is Used For All Analysis
database was literally reconstructed from the ground up resolving the recent audit report issues as
follows:
Lack of documented land value determinations
Dan Kirwin assisted with reprogramming the assessing database, enabling the built in analysis
functions that did not previously work. Fixing these functions within the assessing database allows all
analysis to be self contained in one computer program instead of multiple programs. Future auditors
will no longer need to hunt around the entire computer network to find Assessor analysis. The
assessing database now functions appropriately and is the only computer program used for all
analysis.

Johns assessing roll, as evidenced by the override report included on page 75 of the addenda, is well
within acceptable AMAR tolerances.
Bringing the number of overridden assessed values and flat land values within acceptable AMAR
tolerances involved reducing the number of economic condition factor neighborhoods from over one
hundred to twelve. Also, tables used to calculate the value of land throughout the city were scaled
back in a similar fashion. Furthermore, improperly entered items in the assessing database were
corrected. These corrections allowed properties previously on override to be properly modeled for
valuation purposes according to STC guidelines and the GPTA.
Sampling of known sale properties are not being assessed uniformly at 50% of true cash value
The illegal and unconstitutional practice of chasing sale prices has ceased since the departure of our
former Assessor. No longer are sale prices simply cut in half and assigned as the assessed value for the
property. Instead, sale properties are now properly analyzed as a comparable used by our assessing
database computer program to assist in determining everyone s assessed valuation.
Property sales are now correctly entered into the appropriate portion of the assessing database
following the BSA Software instructions included on pages 76 thru 78 of the addenda. This allows the

Teaching And Learning At The City Of Athens Essay
Every school has its own story to tell. The context in which teaching and learning takes place
influences the processes and procedures by which the school makes decisions around curriculum,
instruction, and assessment. The context also impacts the way a school stays faithful to its vision.
Many factors contribute to the overall narrative such as an identification of stakeholders, a description
of stakeholder engagement, the trends and issues affecting the school, and the kinds of programs and
services that a school implements to support student learning. The purpose of the Executive Summary
(ES) is to provide a school with an opportunity to describe in narrative form the strengths and
challenges it encounters. By doing so, the public and members of the school community will have a
more complete picture of how the school perceives itself and the process of self reflection for
continuous improvement. This summary is structured for the school to reflect on how it provides
teaching and learning on a day to day basis. The city of Athens is located in Limestone County in
North Alabama surrounded by the nearby cities of Madison, Huntsville, Decatur, and Florence. The
city of Athens is comprised of an approximate population of 23,000 people. The demographic makeup
of Athens is 77% White, 17% Black, 4% Hispanic, and 2% other races (Asian, American Indian,
Pacific Islander, or two or more races). According to the 2010 Census, the median income for a

Moral Philosophy Of Thomas Hobbes
In this entry published in an encyclopedia, Lloyd and Sreedhar explain Thomas Hobbes s most
important philosophical thoughts, in particular his thoughts on the state of nature, natural law, and the
social contract. Hobbes believed that the state of nature is a state of war, and to avoid war, humans
must submit to the authority of an absolute sovereign power. The authors also recognize Hobbes s
moral philosophy, and discusses how differences in the interpretation of Hobbes s moral philosophy
can be traced to differing understandings of Hobbes s laws of nature.
Sharon A. Lloyd is a Professor of Philosophy, Law, and Political Science at the University of Southern
California, and has extensive knowledge to the moral and moral theory of philosopher Thomas

In this review published in an academic journal, McClure attempts to clarify the main arguments and
claims Peres Zagorin made in his book Hobbes and the Law of Nature. The author discusses Zagorin s
argument about how natural law acts as a brake on the sovereign s absolutism and imposes a moral
obligation on the sovereign. The review also clarifies what Zagorin aims to point out in his book,
namely Hobbes s originality as a philosopher, and how his theory of natural law fits in in a historical
context.
Christopher S McClure has a PhD in Political Theory from Georgetown University, and have written a
book on Hobbes s philosophy in addition to a number of articles on Hobbes and various other
philosophers.

Technology In A Dystopian Society
There are current events occurring in the United States that has given us the feeling as if we are living
in a dystopian novel. People are living in fear and many have their lives controlled by what is going
on. From having new technology control our lives, from having robots taking over jobs, and hiding
our true identify, the United States has become a place in where many do not desire to live in
anymore.
In many dystopian novels, technology is viewed as a benefit for a society. Today many people believe
it has benefitted us but it has controlled our lives. People no longer have face to face conversations or

Relationship Between Food And Food
In this essay we will be discussing the relationships between food choices and religious practices
through seasonal cycles and festive occasions that surround the Netherlands also to understand the
relationship between food consumption and religious practices and to analyze the role of food as an
expression of social identity.
As the main focus of this essay is directed towards religion, therefore we need an overview of the
religion in Netherlands. Firstly Christianity is the dominant religion followed by 51% of the Dutch
population, this consists of 31% being Roman Catholic, 13% Dutch reformed, and 7% to Protestants
including Anglicans, Baptists etc. 40% Have no Religion and 6% is Muslim mainly Moroccan and
Turkish descents, 2% Hindu and less than 1% Jewish. (Netherlands.2012)
However in the essay we will be focusing more on the dominant religion in the Netherlands which is
the Christian Based religion since it are the majority since the 1960s and also a lot of the food that are
well known and eaten in the Netherlands are highly associated with Christian holidays and traditions.
(Seth R, 1999)
In terms of the Dutch eating habits its seems that most of the choices are made through culture and
family tradition, since most Dutch people don t eat out regularly, also with Dutch people the main
meal is most important, which is a combination of meat, potatoes and vegetables. Sweet and savory
snacks are also eaten with the addition of frequent coffee breaks. This means that

Cru Computer Rentals
CRU Computer Rentals
(Operational Management Assignment)
Executive Summary
CRU is one of the two national computer rental companies. They purchase CPU, monitor, printer and
other peripherals and rent them out for long term leases and short term rentals. The case covers the
problem faced by the company in 1997 when the rental market started to decline and the efforts by the
company to bring up the sales plunged the company to losses.
Problem Statement
In 1996, they had a revenue of 15 million$ and the average number of units that were on rent was at
1000 units per week.
But at the beginning of 1997, the rental market began to decline and the demand fell down to 600units
per week at CRU. This was a matter of grave concern to CRU ... Show more content on

1) As part of 1997 sales drive, 800 units were given out for rent at a rate of 35$ per week and also 600
units were given out for rent at a rate of 30$ per week.
* Revenue per unit that is given out for 4 weeks = 35 * 4 = 140$ * Cost per unit that is given out for 4
weeks. * Cost of a part that got returned as faulty = 25 + 25 + 4 * 1000/156 + 150 = 225.64 * Cost of
a part that got returned fine = 25 + 25 + 4 * 1000/156 = 75.64 * Considering that (70 10.5)% units
return as faulty and (30 + 10.5)% units returned fine, the average cost per unit given out for rental is
~139$ * Contributed Margin is just 1$. Again, with more units given out for rent, the total number of
items in inventory rises as the flow time is kept constant. This adds to average depreciation cost and
net effect will be a loss.
Hence the reduction in rental rate of 4 week unit from 40$ to 35$ was not correct.
Going by the actual rental rates of each unit, * Average profit per week per unit that goes for a 4 week
rent = (40*4 139)/4 ~ 5$ per week * Average profit per week per unit that goes for a 4 week rent =
(30*8 164.41)/8 ~ 9.45$ per week * Average profit per week per unit that goes for a 4 week rent =
(25*12 190.05)/12 ~ 9$ per week
This shows that more reduction in rate is possible for an 8 week or a 12 week CRU unit when
compared to a 4 week unit. So, mere increases in utilization rate alone won t be a performance
measure if

The Bible And The Wiersbe Bible Commentary Essay
In this paper, I will write a scriptural response to the assigned reading of the NIV Study Bible and the
Wiersbe Bible Commentary. I will write my response to the reading from Deuteronomy in the NIV
Study Bible and Wiersbe Bible Commentary. Obedience God stresses the importance of obedience all
through Deuteronomy. Deuteronomy starts with Moses retelling of how Israel delivered from
oppression by God. How if they had only been obedient in the first place they would not have had to
wander in the wilderness for all these years. Now, Israel, hear the decrees and laws I am about to teach
you. Follow them so that you may live and may go in and take possession of the land the Lord the
God of your ancestors, is giving you (NIV Deuteronomy 4:1). Moses later says, Keep his decrees and
commands, which I am giving you today, so that it may go well with you and your children after you
and that you may live long in the land the LORD you God give you for all time (NIV Deuteronomy
4:40). Moses reminds them that they should fear the LORD. And now, Israel, what does the LORD
your God ask of you but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in obedience to him to love him, to
serve the LORD you God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to observe the LORD S
commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good (NIV 10:12 13). Moses also
reminds Israel that by staying obedient to God and by following God s commands, He has declared
that he will set you in praise, fame

Informative Speech On Down Syndrome
Good morning/afternoon aspiring doctors. Bob and Betty are willing to start a family after achieving
much success in their careers. Betty has conceived naturally, however, she is in her 40 s and is
concerned about the risks her child faces due to her age.
There are many risks associated with parental age; including the increased likelihood of being
pregnant with multiples, high blood pressure, hypertension and gestational diabetes. Consequently,
these risks can cause the premature delivery of a baby with a low birth weight (The American College
of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists 2015; March of Dimes 2017; Evidence Based Birth 2017).
Women aged 40 are also susceptible to have a 51% chance of a spontaneous miscarriage and are two
and a half times as likely to have a stillborn baby (Birth Injury Justice.org 2017); compared to a 22
year old with 8.7% (Birth Injury Justice.org 2017; Evidence Based Birth 2017). The miscarriage rates
are higher in older women as they occur within the half of the first trimester due to genetic problems
including Down syndrome; as 1 in 53 at the age of 40 have a baby with a genetic disorder, compared
to 1 in 1064 at 25 (Evidence Based Birth 2017).
The increased risk of Down syndrome in 40 year old women is believed to be caused by errors which
can crop up in the eggs genetic material as they age (Down Syndrome Screening: A One parent test for
a Two parent; The Atlantic 2017). Normally, there are 46 chromosomes in a cell; 23 from the egg and

The Problem Of Free Trade
Free trade is the idea of being able to trade freely with another country, with few barriers that are
made by the World Trade Organization. This is a great strategy to be cost effective and be able to
maximize whatever profits they may have; however companies do not realize the effect that they have
on those who are less fortunate. For example, many jobs are taken from the countries that these
companies are based in, the loss that local producers face can be quite severe when companies decide
to move, and terrible factory conditions can make it difficult to work. These reasons make it not only
the cost effective strategy but the ethics of business are ruined and the impact it has on people that
have to work with these constraints. To start off many jobs are taken from the countries that these
companies are based in, so when companies find it cheaper to work and export in countries that have a
lower exchange rate. Meaning that they are able to do more with their dollars when the exchange rate
is in their favor, and in return workers are often put out of business. In an article by Forbes describes
how the free trade policies make it harder for workers to recover because Workers in these
industries...don t go on to better jobs...Instead, they shuffle from low paid job to low paid job, never
recovering the prosperity they had before (Denning). Because of this phenomenon workers in the US,
who may have been working in their respective industries for years are now being

Distribution Channel Of Tata Motors
2.3 Distribution
Distribution Channels
The distribution channel environment for automobiles in India is different from that of most advanced
countries. These differences exist in number of dealers, size and type of dealers, functions of dealer,
manufacturer dealer relationship, car supermarkets, vertical integration, bookings, financing, number
of cars sold per dealer, margins, and market environment. Because customer has wide choice, most car
dealers would have to adjust to the as per the need of the customer. As far as Tata Motors is concerned
and in the current automobile marketing system, the dealer orders cars in advance in a `push system

is the distributors and sales agents, who have to convince the retailer on stocking their products as

The Impact Of Neoliberal Institutionalism On The United...
RAL INSTITUTIONALISM Neoliberal Institutionalism is one of many schools of international
relations theory often used to both describe and predict trends and characteristics of the global
political landscape. The new liberal institutionalist school of international relations theory owes it
roots to the functional integration study of the 1950 s and 1960 s, and the complex interdependence
scholarship of the 1970 s and 1980 s (Lamy p.132). As part of the larger umbrella of liberal
approaches, neoliberal institutionalism holds a typically positive view of humanity and possibilities
for interaction, peace and cooperation, yet places more emphasis on exploring the role of institutions
than its predecessors. To comprehensively understand the neoliberal institutional approach to world
politics, it is also necessary to understand its opposing theory of neorealism. While the two schools of
thought disagree on the implications of political structure, both scholarships share similar
epistemology and asks largely the same questions which is why Keohane and Martin(1999:3) refer to
neoliberal institutionalism as the half sibling of neorealism ; making it insufficient to discuss one
without comparing it to the other. Therefore I have framed much of my definition of neoliberal
institutionalism in the context of the neo neo debate. As mentioned above, the state centric theoretical
approaches of neoliberal institutionalism and neorealism shares in many key assumptions of the global

Factors Behind Jaywalking
As researchers, we are interested in the topic of Jaywalking. We specifically want to find out through
our survey why people jaywalk and what factors may affect how often they jaywalk. We will send this
survey through a variety of different methods. Three methods will be used mail, e mail, and telephone.
We will give out 200 surveys for each of the different methods. We will also have dedicated staff for
each of these methods which will all rotate to look at each of the methods results. We will target the
general population of Fresno and will randomly select people to send out the surveys to. One of the
first we will ask is if they have ever seen somebody jaywalking. We will also define what jaywalking
is. The second question will ask if they know jaywalking is illegal. This will give us an idea of how
well informed the public is about this type of infraction. Next, we will ask a series of demographic
questions in the survey. One of the first demographic questions is the age of the participant. So that
going forward with the survey we have an idea of what outside factors affect them depending on their
age. It will set up the next question, which is a contingency question. If they answer yes then they will

The Effects Of Texting On The Age Of Texting By Natalie Moore
Introduction: Advocates of texting promote the concept of easy communication, but the opposing view
point emphasizes the decline in social ability as an effect of texting. Texting can be abused almost
effortlessly. Communication via thumb has become so prominent that it is constantly used for
practically any task. Are you in an argument with someone? Just text them and ignore the in person
confrontation; it s much easier. Many have seen relationships both friendly and romantic decline due
to the replacement of social interaction with a screen. In the passage, Rule of Thumbs: Love in the
Age of Texting by Natalie Moore, Moore s informal diction, humorous anecdotes and outside sources
back up the disadvantages of technology.
Outside Sources: Moore s outside sources, some with opinions that are opposite to her own, are
included to enhance the credibility of her negative view against texting. In efforts to support her
observations, Moore included the opinion of Joy Weaver who said texting cannot replace the human
voice or touch (172). Not only does Moore include external sources that back up her stance, she
involved opposing viewpoints to get both sides of the argument. Barb Iverson, a Columbia College
Chicago professor, elaborated on two types of individuals: digital immigrants and digital natives
(173). Digital immigrants represent the older portion of the nation; the ones who are new to
technology. Digital natives are the younger generations; the ones who were born

Comparing Laura Ingalls Wilder s Little House Books and the Television Series Little House on the

The themes of Laura Ingalls Wilder s books are repeated in the television series Little House on the
Prairie. Specific events in the television series aren t the same and don t happen in the same order as in
the books. Big events, such as when the family moves, happen in both and are at similar times. The
Ingalls family of Pa, Ma, Mary, Laura, and Carrie is the same in both. Themes of hard work, honesty,
obedience, and their way of life are repeated in both the Little House television series and the Little

Evaluation Of A New Hybrid Strategy
Abstract
Testing is an important process in software development and widely used by developers to reveal
bugs. Often, software failures can lead to disastrous consequences such as loss of data, fortune and
lives. Test engineers have generated a set of test cases to validate against the user requirements. The
highest number of reduction can save a cost of testing. When dealing with a large line of code (LOCs)
there still has redundancy happened. Our experiment studies about hybrid tReduct GNA_SA and the
existing strategies to counter test redundancy reduction issues. In our experiment, we apply four
(tReductLAHC, tReductSA, tReductGNA and tReduct GNA_SA) test suite reduction strategies for six
different situation. After that, we then measure the effectiveness of the diversified solutions of four
test suite reduction strategies. Our experiment shows that a new hybrid strategy tReduct GNA_SA
offers more effectiveness to reduce redundancy compared to existing work.

To What Extent Can Blanche Dubois Be Described as a Victim...
This play is about people who display cruelty and harshness in their treatment to others, especially
those who are weak and vulnerable. Blanche Dubois is the central victim of mistreatment even though
she had tried to make Stanley the victim. She displays her self as fragile and moth like, dealing out her
share of insensitivities that happened during her younger days. Also because of her moth like image,
the other characters see her as an easy target to knock down and use her insecurities against her. Her
figure and appearance also reveals her vulnerability and delicacy. Slim figure, face of delicate, fading

not just her self that put her in the lime light of being a victim; it is also her new change of
environment and people. Stanley is Stella s husband; he is described to be very masculine and aware
of his sexual magnetism. Strongly, compactly built . He is mostly at ease with people however, if they
lack loyalty and affection to him, he will bully them. Especially women, as he believes them just to be

addressed to his wife who is seen emotionless and impassive in this play. As for Blanche how is fussy

makes him all the more determined to be rid of Stella s charity case . The real reason for Stanley s

How Did The Operation Mincemeat s Defeat
The Invasion of Sicily started on July 10, 1943, was a grand full scale Allied invasion involving about
160 000 men, and ten thousand vehicles completely dominating the Italian island entirely, liberating
the Sicilians. The major event leading up to this victory was Operation Mincemeat, considered by
some to be the most successful single deception of the entire war. It was an absurd plan intended to
seize Sicily under Allied control, through forging an identity of a dead man who never lived to feed
false information to the Axis. It involved a ludicrous amount of planning, judgement, and
consideration, but most importantly: good fortune. Despite the need for a carefully assembled
deception that would relocate the German arms, luck contributed ... Show more content on

Despite Mussolini s protests and conviction that Sicily was going to be attacked, Hitler fully believed
that Italy was no longer in danger, locating his troops elsewhere along the coast. The dispersion of
Hitler s forces tried to cover too much area, being less concentrated in power which ultimately leads to
his defeat. Operation Mincemeat had not only worked but had succeeded as a deception that changed
the path of World War II for the Allies. The intricate planning in Operation Mincemeat played an
important role in its success; however, luck, timing, and situational factors that were uncontrollable by
the Allies contributed to the success to a great extent. Without these unpredictable factors, Operation
Mincemeat could have potentially failed as a whole; however, the fortune that the Allies had allowed
Operation Mincemeat to become even more effective than predicted. As Ben Macintyre had said,
deception is a sort of seduction. In love and war, adultery and espionage, deceit can only succeed if
the deceived party is willing, in some way, to be deceived, and Germany was fully willing to play the
role of the deceived

In order to implement a good strategy for the company, the company should concentrate on the key
factors that can affect the result of the strategy that implemented. Thus, the most important factors for
successful implementation of the JIT strategy are top management commitment, reduction of setup

In order to implement a better strategy in a company, one of the important factors that need to be a

Shooting An Elephant Analysis
Shooting an Elephant
Shooting an Elephant is a short story written by George Orwell that takes place in Burma. In this short
story George Orwell writes about a life experience he had while he was a young police officer in
Burma. Orwell did not enjoy his time in Burma because of the lack of connections he was able to
make with people there. He did not agree with the way they ran things, didn t get along with the
people, and had a great amount of hatred for his job. On top of Orwell disliking all of this, the people
in Burma made it obvious to him that they did not appreciate him either. While Orwell was at a soccer
game, he was purposely tripped and instead of anyone showing sympathy for him, everyone yelled out
with laughter. Orwell was having a tough time adjusting and badly wanted to get out of Burma.
However he was patiently waiting for a big moment he could take advantage of and get the people of
Burma to gain a little respect for him. Then one day his opportunity came. The opportunity in front of
him was as big as he could imagine. While I was reading this story, I was very engaged and was
always wondering what was going to happen next. There were many parts of this short story that
people could connect to. For example, Orwell was having a tough time adjusting to his new culture. I
personally do not connect to that, but I know that many other people in this world are able to connect
with Orwell s tough time adjusting. If the reader is able to connect to a story/book on a personal level,
it makes it a lot more enjoyable (easier) to read. Connecting to a story keeps a reader very engaged to
the book and makes them want to keep reading to see how the author/character handles their situation.
There was one big event in this story that I and in my opinion just about everybody should be able to
connect too. Towards the end of the short story, Orwell was faced with a tough decision. Orwell was
having a normal day, dreading but getting through his job, and all of a sudden something happened.
He had gotten word that an elephant had been loose around town ruining everything in its path and
even killing one civilian. Orwell was the first to the scene and initially did not know how to react.

We Real Cool Poem Summary
Mortality is the state of being subject to death. For centuries, authors have been pondering the answer
to the question why does someone have to die and could they escape death. In Colette Inez s poem,
Back When All Was Continuous Chuckles , the speaker and Doris have a very humorous view on
death before a tragic event occurs that enlightens the pair to reality. The poem, We Real Cool by
Gwendolyn Brooks, is about a group of pool players that describes their actions which will lead to
severe suspected consequences. In the poems, Back When All Was Continuous Chuckles by Colette

Colette Inez uses diction to aid in developing the tone to cause a surprising emotion from the reader.
The author uses words that are carefree and almost playful, such as silly , freaky and har har to
contrast what is really occurring during the poem. It is not until the last stanza that the author depicts a
depressing and somber mood that catches the readers off guard. This showcases that the realization
that everyone is subject to death is unexpected and unpredictable. However, Gwendolyn Brooks uses
diction to add a sense of identity by using the word we instead of I, he, or she. This particular example
of diction creates a group of individuals that are defined by their rebellious action and are at odds with
society. The group identity delays or cripples the awareness of mortality and increases the strength of
the belief in immortality. The authors utilization of diction is not the only major contrast there is in
these two poems there is also the difference in the child like

Employees Under Surveillance
Whether employees should be under surveillance or not of their employers will always remain a
debatable topic. In my opinion, however, I would support this phenomenon instead of opposing it due
to some analytical reasons which I shall be explaining in detail.
1) Workers/Employees might alter their behaviour if they will be told about the inspection. This will
not show the fair results of the monitoring.
Two researchers, Elton Mayo and Flitz Rothlisberger, carried out an experiment in 1920s. In 1927,
researchers were trying to determine the optimal amount of lighting, temperature, and humidity for
assembling electronic components at Western Electric s Hawthorne plant. The results showed that
lighting had no consistent effect on production. Researchers were frustrated to discover that ... Show

Secret monitoring will only cleanse the dirt out of the work force (the corrupt employees) whereas the
ethical employees will never know about the fact that they are being monitored secretly. They will
have a sense of privacy and belonging towards the organization. They will feel bonded and trusted this
way and they will work even more efficiently.
5) Surveillance in workplace, you might be amazed at what your boss can legitimately do. Managers
can lawfully screen practically anything a representative does at work the length of the explanation
behind checking is sufficiently essential to the business.
Bosses may introduce camcorders, read postal mail and email, screen telephone and PC use, use GPS
following, and that s just the beginning. The explanation behind a specific kind of working
environment observation must be more imperative than a representative s desire of security to be
lawfully reasonable. For instance, a business doubtlessly would not have an adequate motivation to
screen a locker room yet would be permitted to screen discussions amongst clients and client

The roles of males and females in society have significantly changed, as opposed to the predominant
roles in our history. In the modern culture of today, women have begun to break out of the mold that
which society has placed her in. This much can t be said when it comes to modern gender
representation in mass media advertising. It can be safe to state that woman are seen as sexual, fragile,
exotic whereas men are portrayed as tough, in control, and aggressive. This trend can be one seen as
an inhibitor to the advancement of our culture, because especially for women, it is hard to pull away

Bacteria cells are examples of prokaryotes (simple cells). They have no nucleus thus, their DNA are
clumped in an area without a nucleus or membrane. Although prokaryotes do not have organelles such
as Chloroplasts, mitochondria or nuclei, bacteria cells still have ribosomes (Radar, Andrew). Bacteria
reproduce and duplicate by the process of binary fission. Binary fission is the processes in which a
single cell divides into two identical daughter cells each with identical DNA to the parent cell.

Transcendent Themes In Hamlet
Hamlet
Transcendent Themes in a Disinterested Age
Modernized versions of classic performances often run into the issue of being simply too long for a
modern audience to sit through, with the dangers of audiences simply being too bored in an age where
the average movie is about 110 minutes. By making decisions that appeal to the visual side of Hamlet
as opposed to altering the auditory work in any way Kenneth Branagh succeeds in maintaining both
artistic authenticity and audience in a way that has not been replicated in modern times. Hamlet,
released in 1996 starring and directed by Kenneth Branagh follows William Shakespeare s tragedy
precisely and successfully overcomes the risks by make the film more digestible for a modern

masterful upon looking at the soliloquies that Hamlet delivers with his act 4 scene 4 soliloquy being
the pinnacle of mixing the source material and modern appeal.
Hamlet, as a stage play first performed in 1609 was limited by the technology of its day in terms of the
visuals it could provide its audience, however Kenneth Branagh s version had no such limitations and

hemisphere functions, specifically researchers use a theory known as Left Brain Right Brain
Theory. This essay will discuss the basic principal of the Left Brain Right Brain Theory, the three
major points of the Left Brain Right Brain Theory, the functions of each hemisphere, and a scenario
that favors the Left Brain Right Brain Theory in school education.
Roger Sperry a famous pioneer involved in the field of cerebral hemispheres began the development
of the commonly known, Left Brain Right Brain Theory. Before officially developing his theory,
Sperry went on to study the effects of epilepsy and perform split brain research (cutting of the corpus);
from Sperry s split brain research he learned that cutting the corpus could either eliminate or lessen
seizures in patients. Additionally, Sperry found that patients with split brain could not identify objects
if handled on the right side of the brain; patients could however identify objects processed on the left
side of the brain. From this information, Sperry was able to propose that the left side of the brain
controlled the language aspects of a human. With Sperry s previous observations, researchers
continued to conduct studies on the cerebral hemisphere of the brain, researchers found that the left
hemisphere of the brain specialized in language, speech, hand mechanics (writing),mathematical
calculations, senses of rhythm and time, and any sort of thought used for analysing information. On
the other hand, researchers found that the right hemisphere of the brain focused on
perception,visualization, faces,emotions harmonies,spatial perception, and nonverbal
communication.Ultimately, this theory is a comparison between the left hemisphere and the right
hemisphere of the brain.
According to this hemispheric theory, there are three major points that are known within the Left
Brain Right Brain Theory. The first point being that the left hemisphere and the right

Essay On Life Without Parole
The official definition of capital punishment is the legally authorized killing of someone as
punishment for a crime (merriam webster.com). In what atrocious world would killing someone be
legal? Even if they committed a crime of ruthless nature, what will they learn from being killed right
away. These people need time to deem themselves unfit for the world. They need to learn from the
actions they have chosen to take, and the only way this is possible is life without parole. Life without
parole or LWOP is not only less expensive, but more effective than the death penalty. Life without
parole is the swiftest and easiest way to punish someone who deserves it. It is a certain sentence. The
people in prison will die of natural causes unless proven innocent anyways A life without parole can
be more demoralizing than a death sentence. It s the death of hope. Steven Drizin ... Show more

With all of the special lawyers, court dates, prison cells and maintenance, a death penalty case can cost
millions of dollars. Like a lot of things, capital punishment is paid for with tax dollars. Cases with the
death penalty can cost upwards of 1.7 million dollars while cases without it are usually about 740,000
dollars. Maintaining death row prisoners can also bring costs up immensely. One of the most severe
instances of these high costs is California. Every year it costs California 180 million dollars more to
maintain death row prisoners than it does to maintain LWOP prisoners. They have put thirteen people
to death from 1973 until now, and each case has cost 137 million dollars. A 2011 study showed that
California has spent four billion dollars on capital punishment since 1976, and that has only grown
higher. This is only one of the horrendous examples of our tax dollars at work. Do we really want our
hard earned money going towards the killing of what might be innocent

Bonnethead Shark Structure
The bonnethead shark is a magnificent creature. It can reach speeds of 35 mph when trying to catch its
prey. The bonnethead shark is a carnivore. It will consume some of the fish that swim by when it s
hungry. The sharks habitat is in a wide range, and the structure and anatomy is unique. The
bonnethead shark eats about its own weight in a day. The bonnethead shark feeds on crab, shrimp,
mollusks, and small fish. This shark eats meat, but also eats bivalves and cephalopods. The bonnethead
feeds mostly in the daytime. They swim slowly toward their prey. Then quickly attack the prey and
crush it with their teeth. In the summertime if you go to the reefs and seaweed you might see a
bonnethead shark.
The bonnethead shark is abundant in the nearshore Florida water by reefs. It s commonly seen over
shallow sand and mud flats. They move into deeper water during the colder months. Depths about 32
to 262 ft, and in the warmer months they can be found 10 to 25m underwater. The biogeographic
regions are in the Atlantic ocean(native) and Pacific ocean(native). The Aquatic ... Show more content

The bonnethead shark scientific name is the Sphyrna tiburo. The bonnethead looks like it has a shovel
on its head. That is why it s nickname is the shovelhead shark. This shark is one of nine species of the
hammerhead shark. These sharks all have a unique hammer or shovel shaped head. The shovel shaped
head helps the shark find its prey easier. In a 2009 study found that the shark could nearly see 360
degrees vision and excellent depth perception. This shark is the smallest member of the Hammerhead
family. The maximum length is about 3.5 feet. The bonnethead shark matures about 2 years of age
(about 30 inches) and is estimated to live 7 years, or more. They can weigh up to 24 pounds. The
bonnethead sharks nostrils are located close to the eyes, near the ends of its flattened

Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... On this day, the stranger and the horse come across the woods that the stranger finds intriguing and finds himself struggling with reality. The stranger begins to question his sanity of understanding what is right to do considering that he has obligations to the village and he or she wants to get into the wood to have some enjoyment. However, the horse s bell brings him or her to reality, and he has to make a decision based on self knowledge of his situation and duties ahead. Clear solution/action plan While developing a clear solution may seem like an easy thing to do, it may actually be quite complicated. It may help you to develop categories equivalent to those that may later be required in the final proposal (e.g., objectives, rationale, personnel, management, timeline, products, budget, evaluation, guarantees of assurance, dissemination of results). While you will not be able to provide many details at this core document stage, you must have a clear idea of: who will perform what actions (personnel and management), how long it will take to achieve the solution (timeline), how much it will cost (budget), and what resources you will need (approval, funds, equipment, personnel, or other resources). Good proposals present strong links between the objectives of the plan (what you hope to accomplish), the activities that will allow you to accomplish those objectives, and the means by which you will determine how well your project is going. The methods of evaluation also link directly back to the objectives; this means that as you write an objective, you must make certain its degree of achievement can be measured. You might consider ... • 4. The Effect Of Nitrogen On The Growth Of A Sapling Essay Introduction Nitrogen is an essential nutrient for plant growth, being a key component in the process of photosynthesis and is a part of the chlorophyll molecule. Nitrogen acts to increase the amount of the green chlorophyll in plant leaves which allows them to absorb the optimum amount of sunlight by increasing the surface area of leaves to hold the chlorophyll and optimum amounts of nitrogen in a plant allow it to produce enough foliage in order for it to successfully photosynthesise efficiently, therefore producing the right energy it needs to function. I am interested to see how the levels of nitrogen in the young saplings, measured from the leaves of randomly chosen plants, affects the rate at which they grow around the radius of their trunks and whether there is a significant relationship between the two. I would expect that certain levels of nitrogen are the most optimal for the growth of a sapling where enough is present to allow the most efficient production of photosynthesis in its leaves as the energy produced in this process would allow growth throughout the rest of the plant. At very low levels I could expect growth rates of saplings to be very slow or not at all and as the nitrogen levels in a sapling s leaves increases for the growth rate to increase to a certain extent. There would however be likely a point where an increase in nitrogen levels does not mean a higher growth rate as too much can be detrimental to other components in a sapling s health, ... • 6. Teaching And Learning At The City Of Athens Essay Every school has its own story to tell. The context in which teaching and learning takes place influences the processes and procedures by which the school makes decisions around curriculum, instruction, and assessment. The context also impacts the way a school stays faithful to its vision. Many factors contribute to the overall narrative such as an identification of stakeholders, a description of stakeholder engagement, the trends and issues affecting the school, and the kinds of programs and services that a school implements to support student learning. The purpose of the Executive Summary (ES) is to provide a school with an opportunity to describe in narrative form the strengths and challenges it encounters. By doing so, the public and members of the school community will have a more complete picture of how the school perceives itself and the process of self reflection for continuous improvement. This summary is structured for the school to reflect on how it provides teaching and learning on a day to day basis. They purchase CPU, monitor, printer and other peripherals and rent them out for long term leases and short term rentals. The case covers the problem faced by the company in 1997 when the rental market started to decline and the efforts by the company to bring up the sales plunged the company to losses. Problem Statement In 1996, they had a revenue of 15 million$ and the average number of units that were on rent was at 1000 units per week. But at the beginning of 1997, the rental market began to decline and the demand fell down to 600units per week at CRU. This was a matter of grave concern to CRU ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... 1) As part of 1997 sales drive, 800 units were given out for rent at a rate of 35$ per week and also 600 units were given out for rent at a rate of 30$ per week. * Revenue per unit that is given out for 4 weeks = 35 * 4 = 140$ * Cost per unit that is given out for 4 weeks. * Cost of a part that got returned as faulty = 25 + 25 + 4 * 1000/156 + 150 = 225.64 * Cost of a part that got returned fine = 25 + 25 + 4 * 1000/156 = 75.64 * Considering that (70 10.5)% units return as faulty and (30 + 10.5)% units returned fine, the average cost per unit given out for rental is ~139$ * Contributed Margin is just 1$. Again, with more units given out for rent, the total number of items in inventory rises as the flow time is kept constant. This adds to average depreciation cost and net effect will be a loss. Hence the reduction in rental rate of 4 week unit from 40$ to 35$ was not correct. Going by the actual rental rates of each unit, * Average profit per week per unit that goes for a 4 week rent = (40*4 139)/4 ~ 5$ per week * Average profit per week per unit that goes for a 4 week rent = (30*8 164.41)/8 ~ 9.45$ per week * Average profit per week per unit that goes for a 4 week rent = (25*12 190.05)/12 ~ 9$ per week This shows that more reduction in rate is possible for an 8 week or a 12 week CRU unit when compared to a 4 week unit. I will write my response to the reading from Deuteronomy in the NIV Study Bible and Wiersbe Bible Commentary. Obedience God stresses the importance of obedience all through Deuteronomy. Deuteronomy starts with Moses retelling of how Israel delivered from oppression by God. How if they had only been obedient in the first place they would not have had to wander in the wilderness for all these years. Now, Israel, hear the decrees and laws I am about to teach you. Follow them so that you may live and may go in and take possession of the land the Lord the God of your ancestors, is giving you (NIV Deuteronomy 4:1). Moses later says, Keep his decrees and commands, which I am giving you today, so that it may go well with you and your children after you and that you may live long in the land the LORD you God give you for all time (NIV Deuteronomy 4:40). Moses reminds them that they should fear the LORD. And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God ask of you but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in obedience to him to love him, to serve the LORD you God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to observe the LORD S commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good (NIV 10:12 13). Betty has conceived naturally, however, she is in her 40 s and is concerned about the risks her child faces due to her age. There are many risks associated with parental age; including the increased likelihood of being pregnant with multiples, high blood pressure, hypertension and gestational diabetes. Consequently, these risks can cause the premature delivery of a baby with a low birth weight (The American College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists 2015; March of Dimes 2017; Evidence Based Birth 2017). Women aged 40 are also susceptible to have a 51% chance of a spontaneous miscarriage and are two and a half times as likely to have a stillborn baby (Birth Injury Justice.org 2017); compared to a 22 year old with 8.7% (Birth Injury Justice.org 2017; Evidence Based Birth 2017). The miscarriage rates are higher in older women as they occur within the half of the first trimester due to genetic problems including Down syndrome; as 1 in 53 at the age of 40 have a baby with a genetic disorder, compared to 1 in 1064 at 25 (Evidence Based Birth 2017). Because customer has wide choice, most car dealers would have to adjust to the as per the need of the customer. • 16. The Impact Of Neoliberal Institutionalism On The United... RAL INSTITUTIONALISM Neoliberal Institutionalism is one of many schools of international relations theory often used to both describe and predict trends and characteristics of the global political landscape. The new liberal institutionalist school of international relations theory owes it roots to the functional integration study of the 1950 s and 1960 s, and the complex interdependence scholarship of the 1970 s and 1980 s (Lamy p.132). As part of the larger umbrella of liberal approaches, neoliberal institutionalism holds a typically positive view of humanity and possibilities for interaction, peace and cooperation, yet places more emphasis on exploring the role of institutions than its predecessors. To comprehensively understand the neoliberal institutional approach to world politics, it is also necessary to understand its opposing theory of neorealism. While the two schools of thought disagree on the implications of political structure, both scholarships share similar epistemology and asks largely the same questions which is why Keohane and Martin(1999:3) refer to neoliberal institutionalism as the half sibling of neorealism ; making it insufficient to discuss one without comparing it to the other. The Effects Of Texting On The Age Of Texting By Natalie Moore Introduction: Advocates of texting promote the concept of easy communication, but the opposing view point emphasizes the decline in social ability as an effect of texting. Texting can be abused almost effortlessly. Communication via thumb has become so prominent that it is constantly used for practically any task. Are you in an argument with someone? Just text them and ignore the in person confrontation; it s much easier. Many have seen relationships both friendly and romantic decline due to the replacement of social interaction with a screen. In the passage, Rule of Thumbs: Love in the Age of Texting by Natalie Moore, Moore s informal diction, humorous anecdotes and outside sources back up the disadvantages of technology. Outside Sources: Moore s outside sources, some with opinions that are opposite to her own, are included to enhance the credibility of her negative view against texting. In efforts to support her observations, Moore included the opinion of Joy Weaver who said texting cannot replace the human voice or touch (172). Not only does Moore include external sources that back up her stance, she involved opposing viewpoints to get both sides of the argument. Often, software failures can lead to disastrous consequences such as loss of data, fortune and lives. Test engineers have generated a set of test cases to validate against the user requirements. The highest number of reduction can save a cost of testing. When dealing with a large line of code (LOCs) there still has redundancy happened. Our experiment studies about hybrid tReduct GNA_SA and the existing strategies to counter test redundancy reduction issues. How Did The Operation Mincemeat s Defeat The Invasion of Sicily started on July 10, 1943, was a grand full scale Allied invasion involving about 160 000 men, and ten thousand vehicles completely dominating the Italian island entirely, liberating the Sicilians. The major event leading up to this victory was Operation Mincemeat, considered by some to be the most successful single deception of the entire war. It was an absurd plan intended to seize Sicily under Allied control, through forging an identity of a dead man who never lived to feed false information to the Axis. The intricate planning in Operation Mincemeat played an important role in its success; however, luck, timing, and situational factors that were uncontrollable by the Allies contributed to the success to a great extent. In this short story George Orwell writes about a life experience he had while he was a young police officer in Burma. Orwell did not enjoy his time in Burma because of the lack of connections he was able to make with people there. He did not agree with the way they ran things, didn t get along with the people, and had a great amount of hatred for his job. On top of Orwell disliking all of this, the people in Burma made it obvious to him that they did not appreciate him either. While Orwell was at a soccer game, he was purposely tripped and instead of anyone showing sympathy for him, everyone yelled out with laughter. Orwell was having a tough time adjusting and badly wanted to get out of Burma. However he was patiently waiting for a big moment he could take advantage of and get the people of Burma to gain a little respect for him. Then one day his opportunity came. The opportunity in front of him was as big as he could imagine. While I was reading this story, I was very engaged and was always wondering what was going to happen next. There were many parts of this short story that people could connect to. For example, Orwell was having a tough time adjusting to his new culture. It may be surprising but the cerebrum of the brain is split into two different hemispheres, both of which perform different tasks and focus on different thoughts. Roger Sperry a famous pioneer involved in the field of cerebral hemispheres began the development of the commonly known, Left Brain Right Brain Theory. Before officially developing his theory, Sperry went on to study the effects of epilepsy and perform split brain research (cutting of the corpus); from Sperry s split brain research he learned that cutting the corpus could either eliminate or lessen seizures in patients. Additionally, Sperry found that patients with split brain could not identify objects if handled on the right side of the brain; patients could however identify objects processed on the left side of the brain. From this information, Sperry was able to propose that the left side of the brain controlled the language aspects of a human. With Sperry s previous observations, researchers continued to conduct studies on the cerebral hemisphere of the brain, researchers found that the left hemisphere of the brain specialized in language, speech, hand mechanics (writing),mathematical calculations, senses of rhythm and time, and any sort of thought used for analysing information. On the other hand, researchers found that the right hemisphere of the brain focused on perception, visualization, faces, emotions harmonies, spatial perception, and nonverbal communication.Ultimately, this theory is a comparison between the left hemisphere and the right hemisphere of the brain.
