In Houston County, students may bring their personal devices to the classroom for
instructional purposes. Teachers may assign different days for students to bring in their personal
devices. Many students own an IPAD or an I-Phone, making it easy for them to access apps.
Teachers may check-out IPADS or laptops for students to use in the classroom. As the classroom
teacher, I will utilize Windows by using Microsoft apps. Microsoft apps are easy to manage. I
will also utilize Apple products by using IPADs and I-Phones in the classroom. I will explore
different apps and allow students to share their ideas with me. By integrating technology into the
curriculum, it allows teachers to differentiate their instruction to meet the needs of their students.
I would allow students to work independently, with a partner, and/or in small groups. By
allowing flexibility, it allows the teacher to meet the learning needs of each student. Students
will be assigned to groups based on their learning needs. By allowing students to use technology
in the classroom, they may become more engaged. Classroom technology will be utilized in the
classroom for students that do not have access to technology, and time limits will be placed for
students using technology in the classroom. This school year, I will teach mathematics. I have
selected seven math apps for students to utilize throughout the school year.
