Urethritis
Urethritis
What is urethritis?
Urethritis is a medical term for inflammation of the urethra, which is located at the end of the urinary
tract. The urethra is longer in males compared to females as it needs to travel down the length of the
penis. When this region of the urinary tract becomes inflamed, patients develop burning on urination,
pain, clear or purulent urethral discharge, and occasionally bleeding. Urethritis is most commonly seen
in sexually active men.
The most common cause of urethritis is infection due to Chlamydia or Gonorrhea. Urethritis is also
commonly caused by Mycoplasma genitalium. These forms of urethritis are sexually transmitted
diseases. Penile trauma is another potential but less frequently encountered cause of urethritis.
Due to the importance of this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Urethritis can be prevented by using barrier contraception such as condoms.
Summary:
Urethritis is a medical term for inflammation of the urethra, which is located at the end of the urinary
tract. It is most commonly seen in sexually active men.
Patients develop burning on urination, pain, clear or purulent urethral discharge, itching, and
occasionally bleeding. Men are more likely to have symptoms than women.
There may be redness (erythema) and inflammation at the tip of the urethra. Discharge can sometimes
be expressed by milking the penis.
Patients with HSV infection may have pain genital ulcers or vesicles grouped together with a red base.
In rare occasions, C. trachomatis causes a syndrome called reactive arthritis conjunctivitis, arthritis
(typically sacroiliitis), and urethritis.
The most common organisms responsible for urethritis include Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Chlamydia
trachomatis, and Mycoplasma genitalium.
Urethritis is less commonly caused by herpes simplex virus (HSV) or Trichomonas vaginalis
infection. All of these are sexually transmitted

The Trafficking Of Human Trafficking Essay
In this essay, the history of human trafficking will be examined, followed by who is affected by
trafficking. Next the scope and types of exploitation will be discussed. Human trafficking is an issue
that affects countries all over the world. Governments have made an effort to curb trafficking,
however these efforts have been very narrowly focused. American ignorance has led to poor handling
of the issues by policy makers. Finally the essay will discuss a proposed solution and set some goals
for society to work on in the future.
When examining the traditional definition of slavery, it focuses on one human being taking ownership
of another. Traditionally slaves were transported by lengthy sea voyages. However, with
advancements in transportation human trafficking victims can be quickly and easily moved around the
world (Kara 67). According to Robert Uy, Trafficking, prostitution, and slavery have existed since the
beginning of civilization and, while at times have been prohibited, have continued to exist (215).
Slaves can be exploited virtually forever with a form of slavery known as bonded labor, which has
existed for centuries. Individuals involved in this type of slavery are often loaned money with the
agreement to work of the debt; unfortunately, the pay is so low the debt is almost never repaid (Kara
67). Despite legislative efforts to pass effective anti trafficking and anti forced labor laws, the
overwhelming focus has been on preventing sex trafficking. This coupled

Immigration Crisis Research Paper
For my course project I wrote about the current immigration crisis in Europe, specifically health
concerns in the group related to communicable diseases. Some refugees come into Europe already
infected with diseases. Greece had a resurgence of malaria that was directly linked to an influx of
migrants from Pakistan, and several other countries are at high risk (Migration and Health). Two other
diseases leishmaniasis and Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS CoV) also carry the
potential to be brought in by immigrants. This is a concern to U.S. national security because the
immigrants we accept into the U.S. may be at risk of carrying these diseases. Additionally, even if we
effectively care for and treat all infected immigrants ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I made all of my slides and reported on all of them. In addition to that, I did the conclusion of our
report. Mark did the overview. Mark and I both volunteered for the extra roles. I don t want to give the
impression that no one else was willing; we simply volunteered first. Our group was very good
overall. We started early, mostly individually. I think most people, myself included, made the slides on
their own computers then transferred the information over to the google doc the day before the
presentation. It worked out very nicely. There were minor issues with disagreements on formatting,
where the person who had issues with our bright pink background did not check with the group before
changing the entire layout the night before the presentation. But we changed it back, and it was no big
deal. We tried our best to organize the flow of information from broad to narrow, but it was difficult
because we all had such widely different topics. In the end, however, I felt the presentation flowed
well. This group of people was really fun to work

The Family Structure Of The Family
A family is a basic unit in society that consists of blood related persons living together. However, this
definition is not totally applicable in today s complementary society due to variations in family
relations (Henslin, 2010). Historically, the family structure types were nuclear and extended. The
nuclear family consisted of two parents and children. The extended family incorporated grandparents,
cousins, auntie uncle and other blood relative. Today, these family types have evolved to include,
godparents, single parent families and adopted children (Henslin, 2010).
Marriage is the union of unrelated male and female in an Eros relationship and is usually initiated by a
ceremony. Marriage is very important as it forms the basis of a family. However, marriage has been
modified to include same sex unions. Amid partner death and freewill, divorce, a rampant
phenomenon in society today is another major factor contributing to marriage diversity (Henslin,
2010). Divorce is the legal dissolution of a marriage. It has resulted to single parent families. Other
family structure variations include polyandry where a woman has multiple husbands or polygamy
where a man woman has multiple wives. Modern American unions are mostly monogamous.
Cultural factors like gender, ethnicity, age and race shape family structures and processes. Culture
defines inheritance, partner selection, descent, and power (Henslin, 2010). For example, in some
cultures, ones marriage partner is chosen for them

Garbage Patch Recycling
Recycling can also reduce water pollution. When substances such as plastics are improperly disposed
into rivers and beaches, it could be very destructive to the environment. Not only do waste mostly
plastic waste, contaminate these water bodies, but they also harm marine life. One of the biggest
problems that have resulted due to the improper disposition of plastic and other waste is The Great
Pacific Garbage Patch. About 80 percent of the debris in the Great Pacific Garbage Patch comes from
land based activities in North America and Asia ( Great , 2012). The Great Pacific Patch is an
accumulation of trash in the ocean that spans over a large area. Based on studies conducted by Wilcox,
Mallos, Leonard, Rodriguez and Hardesty (2016), marine litter mostly plastic has caused severe
damage on marine wildlife. Because plastic does not biodegrade, it stays in these large bodies of water
an accumulate. Various plastic products can cause suffocation of marine animals and possibly lead to
death. Marine animals may view these items as food and consume them. Once it is consumed, they
can potentially die. The image above obtained from Bing images illustrates the death of an albatross
bird that has consumed plastic waste from the ocean.
Due to the microscopic particles, mostly plastic found in the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, it is
difficult to find a solution to remove all of the trash on the sea floor. Therefore, a plausible solution
would be to implement recycling methods.

Faneul Hall Research Paper
It was 1742 when the first town hall in Boston was opened. It was named Faneuil Hall which was
often referred to as the Cradle of liberty. Faneuil Hall served as a market place and a meeting hall
during the mid seventeen hundreds and is still in use now as a public meeting place for the people of
boston. It all started when a wealthy Bostonian Merchant named Peter Faneuil came up with the idea
of building a marketplace in Boston. After much debate, Boston accepted Faneuil s proposal. Once it
was built, the town government also used the marketplace as a meeting space. The lower lever of the
hall was divided into stalls which were exclusively for market purposes. In the market, meat,
vegetable, and dairy products were sold. On the second floor, ... Show more content on

This was the place where the first ideas of the American Revolution were thought of. Originally, the
town meetings held in Faneuil Hall was only meant to concern the townspeople and possibly
neighboring area. But in the mid 1700s, the discussions that went on in Faneuil hall led to the taxation
policies of the British empire. Thus becoming a center of revolutionary activity in Boston. The debates
sometimes led to incidents of violence on the streets and under the leadership of James Otis, Samuel
Adams, Dr. Joseph Warren and other Sons of Liberty debates led to opposition to the Sugar Tax of
1764, the Stamp Act of 1765, and other British political maneuvers. In the December of 1773,
meetings that took place here concerned a new tax on tea from the British government and the tax to
be paid on it. Although this town hall was meant to concern one community, Boston reports were
spread throughout the colonies and led them towards unity and independence. All activities here game

Great Britain in the revolution, the size of Faneuil hall was not enough to meet the needs of the

Mucci Mag Transformational Leader Essay
The average American receives information of current events by television, paper magazines, radio
and social media. News reporting has become a very competitive industry where creativity becomes
key to the success of the company. For a news reporting magazine like Mucci Mag to be successful,
the company will need a transformational leader who can keep the magazine moving forward in an
innovative path. A transformational leader expands their capabilities and move outside of the
transactional space and into a transformational space that focuses on long term solutions rather than
short term gains. (Hogg Bill, 2017). Behind the scenes at Mucci Mag (a magazine publishing

How Doyle Create Suspense In The Hound Of The Baskervilles
Fabricated from the essence of his thoughts, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle revolutionized the mystery
genre, as we know it, in his stunning novel, The Hound of the Baskervilles. When read, Doyle s
readers embark on a journey to the filthy, crime filled streets of Victorian London and the mysterious
moor of the Baskervilles where unknown entities lurk. But most of all, readers come face to face with
the man himself, the greatest detective of all time, Mr. Sherlock Holmes. Since it first came out, Sir
Arthur Conan Doyle s world renown mystery, The Hound of the Baskervilles, has not failed to delight
mystery readers. In fact, readers have enjoyed the novel so much that it has become multiple movies.
However, David Attwood s film stands out from the others ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

As an author, it is typically harder to create suspense, but Doyle does an excellent job. With the use of
red herrings, superstition, cliffhangers, and more, Doyle creates an atmosphere of tension and
suspense. An example of one of these techniques is seen through the red herring: Selden. As soon as
the word got out that Selden had broken out of jail, he was easily taken as a suspect to readers.
However, In the movie, Selden causes more suspense by breaking into Baskerville Hall to get some
food. Another example of Doyle creating suspense in the novel was through the cliffhanger: the man
on the tor. Doyle creates suspense through this by leaving the readers wondering who was it that
Watson saw on the tor. Although Doyle creates suspense pretty well, Attwood creates even more. One
major asset that Attwood has is sound effects and noise. This is extremely efficient because Attwood
can make the things that Doyle does even better. For example, when the scene about Selden escaping
happens, sound effects such as sirens and yelling, make his escape more suspenseful. In the same way,
Attwood uses sound effects for things such as the howling of the hound on the moor, or the screaming
of victims. Although Attwood creates a lot of suspense through sound effects, I m sure that both Doyle
and Attwood would agree that maybe the most effective way of creating suspense is through character
actions and nature. In both the movie and the novel, in the resolution, a wave of fog appears before the
hound arrives. In the novel, Holmes even says, the one thing upon earth which could have disarranged
my plans.... Our success and even his life may depend upon his coming out before the fog is over the
path. (218) In this moment, the readers wait for the beast to strike as Doyle takes away their breath.
This clearly creates suspension and tension in both

Compare And Contrast St. Louis
St. Louis is a town in the middle of Missouri located on the Mississippi River. Back in the earth 1900
St. Louis used to be a huge bustling city. The city was very important for trade because of its location
in the Mississippi. So many people lived in St. Louis and traveled from all around the world to
gothere.St. Louis even hosted the 1904 world s fair which was held in its very own Forest park. St.

and many more historical site from Mary Queen of Scots bedroom to where she gave birth to her son
king James; even many grave yards with successful writers and philosophers buried in them. These
two cities are a lot a like because of the great history that had gone before them in the past. These two
cities have seen many meaningful historical events happen in the past.
The culture of these two cities are some what similar yet different at the same time. Everyone is polite

Examples Of Satan In Dante s Inferno
How do people imagine satan? Majority picture him as a red demon with a long tail and a red
pitchfork. However, based on Dante alighieri ,Inferno, that is not how Satan, Lucifer, looks like.
Lucifer is a three face fallen angel representing the holy trinity and six bat wings total. He is also
frozen up to the midpoint of his chess. Indeed frozen and not burning like most readers would think.
However it is understandable that Dante show him frozen to prove that evil cannot prevail past God.
With this in mind, a Dante alighieri s depiction of Satan at the bottom of hell reveals the theme of in
hell the punishment is fit to the crime.
Dante depicted satan as he did to prove satan received a fitting punishment. For instance, he mentions,
No feathers had they, but as of a bat Their fashion was; and he waving them, So that three winds
proceeded forth therefrom. (Dante, Canto 34). Even if Satan try to stop flapping his wing to make the
ice melt to escape, once the ice melted he would use his wings to fly making the river freeze again.
This fits the crime because just like he betrayed his own God in a way his own wings are betraying
him not letting him escape. The depiction of Satan in Hell differs from the stereotypical description
because Satan is seen as the ruler of hell and not another ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

with his teeth was crunching A sinne, in a manner of a brake, So that he three of them tormented thus.
(Dante Canto 34). Satan s punishment fits more because he tried to have more power and more word
over God. However, with him having his mouth full he has no voice over

Three known B vitamin deficiencies are beriberi, pellagra and pernicious anemia, which are not
common in the United States but can occur when people omit certain foods from their diet or over eat
certain foods. These vitamins may be obtained but eating different vegetables, fruits, grains, nuts and
dairy products. As the same with fat soluble vitamins, water soluble vitamins can have effects should
you become deficient in certain vitamins:
Vitamin C deficiency can cause easy bruising, dry skin, scurvy and sore joints but having too much
may cause bloating, diarrhea, cramps and possible kidney stones. Vitamin C can be obtained through
many fruits and dark green vegetables.
B Vitamins can be obtained in many grains, white rice, white flour and pastas. As with grains and rice,
these products are normally washed or polished prior to being used, washes their outer layers. Because
of this thiamin deficiency and beriberi increased. This only happened in some areas.
Overall fat soluble and water soluble vitamins are of great importance to one s body to help maintain,
heal, and grow to stay healthy. As we look to avoid not to be deficient in our vitamins by eating the
recommended daily allowance (RDA) and attempt to avoid taking supplements unless necessary since
most of our food that we intake contain the necessary vitamins for a healthy body. Of course should

Generally when one thinks of the American west their mind jumps to an image of untouched,

The Main Characteristics Of Emerging Markets
The main characteristics of emerging markets
Introduction
In recent years, there has been a growing concern about the emerging markets, and it is kind of new
economic markets in developing countries which likes mature markets but does not meet a criterion of
it,and emerging markets is a relevant concept when it comes to the developed countries. While a
variety of definitions of the term of emerging markets have been suggested, this essay will use the
definition suggested by Arnold and Quelch(1998)who saw it as countries that satisfy two
standards, first is a rapid pace of economics increasing, and second is government policies supporting
economic liberalisation and the adoption of a free market system.
This essay attempts to focus on five main characteristics of emerging markets which consists
of:first,high growth and high returns,second,increasing of investment,third,high
volatility, fourth, capital markets are less mature than developed countries, and the last characteristic is
lower than average per capita. These characteristics would be explained in details and be given some
examples to support them, and in comparison with mature fair, followed by a discussion of the impact
about the new markets to country.
The background of emerging markets

Theodore Herzl s Influence On Der Judenstaat
Generally accepted to have been the father of modern Zionism, (Wharton, 75) Theodore Herzl wrote
in his groundbreaking piece 1896 Der Judenstaat:
Wherever they live in perceptible numbers, they are more or less persecuted. Their equality before the
law, granted by statute, has become practically a dead letter. They are debarred from filling even
moderately high positions, either in the army, or in any public or private capacity. And attempts are
made to thrust them out of business also: Don t buy from Jews! (Herzl, II. The Jewish Question).
Rather than seeking sympathy, Herzl prefaced his work with these anti Semitic acts in history as a
categorical reason for an autonomous Der Judenstaat, which is literally State of the Jews in German,
and began the movement now known as Zionism. It is interesting to note, however, that anti Semitism,
which may be defined as the prejudice, discrimination and hatred of Jews as a national, ethnic,
religious or racial group, (Anti Semitism) permeated history for millennia before Zionism emerged;
yet, many scholars regard it as the predominant impetus for the rise of the Zionist movement. Anti

Compare the Functionalist and Marxist Views on Social...
CRITICALLY COMPARE MARXISM AND FUNCTIONALISM IN THE WAY EACH
PERSPECTIVE CONCEPTUALIZES THE PHENOMENON OF SOCIAL STRATIFICATION.
Social stratification refers to the presence of distinct social groups which are ranked one above the
other in terms of factors such as prestige and wealth (Haralambos Holborn, 2004). Those who belong
to a particular group or stratum will have some awareness of common interests and a common
identity. They also share a similar lifestyle which, to some extent, will distinguish them from members
of other social strata (Lenski, 1984). Social stratification involves a hierarchy of social groups and

These provide the preconditions for the emergence of a class of producers and a class of non
producers (Haralambos Holborn, 2004). According to Marx, the relationship between the major social
classes is one of mutual dependence and conflict. The wage laborers must sell their labor power in
order to survive since they do not own a part of the means of production. They are therefore,
dependent for their livelihood on the capitalists and the wages they offer. The capitalists are dependent
on the labor power of wage laborers, since without it there would be no production. This relationship
however, is one of an exploiter and exploited or oppressor and oppressed. As such, the ruling class
gains at the expense of the subject class which leads to a conflict of interest between them. From a
Marxist perspective, capital, which is the money used to finance the production of commodities, is
privately owned by the capitalist class. Marx believes that this capital is gained from the exploitation
of the working class (Haralambos Holborn, 2004). This he further argued, produced nothing as only
labor was capable of producing wealth; yet still the wages paid to workers are well below the value of
the goods they produce. Therefore the capitalists realize a surplus value or profit. The bourgeoisie are
therefore exploiting the proletariat who are the real producers of wealth. Marx maintained that in all
societies, the ruling class exploits and oppresses the subject class. According to

The National Women s Party
The National Women s Party also known as N.W.P was an American Women s organization formed in
1916 as an outgrowth of the congressional union which in turn was formed in 1913 by Alice Paul and
Lucy Burns to fight women s suffrage ignoring all other issues. These two women strongly felt that
women all over the world need rights in general and that women did not get the same rights as men
did. This was at a time when all the women could not vote but men could. At this time women cooked,
cleaned and took care of the kids. That was what the men expected the women to do. These two
women wanted these rights so they could feel that they could change something. They did change
some things. Even though they eventually got their right to vote it did not mean these women voted. It
was not the fact that they wanted to vote it that meant so much to them as the fact that they wanted
and had the same rights as the men. The women s voting rights were gained in Finland, Iceland,
Sweden and some Australian colonies and western U.S. states in the late 19 century. National and
International organizations formed to coordinate efforts to gain voting rights, especially the
international women suffrage alliance founded in 1904, Berlin Germany also worked for equal civil
rights for women. These women just wanted to do the same things that the men could do. They had a
lot of background but here is a little summary of it. Beginning in the mid 19th century, several
generations of woman suffrage

Term Limit Analysis
Term Limits Needed The Supreme Court has been left without a majority vote and is dysfunctional.
The current fiasco that is happening in Washington with the court being weakened by other branches
of the government is an example of the Supreme Court being diminished by political battling.
Therefore, term limits are necessary because they would reduce political fighting, younger judges are
more in touch and terms will allow more diversity on the court. Term limits can affect political
feuding in a positive way minimizing political arguments. Since the Supreme Court job is a lifetime
job so when it comes to appointing a new judge the discussions go over the roof debating on whether
he or she should be a republican or democrat. Term limits will not only stable power between the
political parties but also allow new perspectives. In fact, in 2015 two thirds of Americans supported 10

Having variety in women and men with different ethnic backgrounds will help the view cases in a
better way. It matters that there s diversity on the court. I think it makes for better lawmaking, because
you have people with more diverse range of judgement and who are going to make a better decision
on the law ( Rachel Maddow 2014). A woman may relate to a case more than a man which is why
diversity is needed. For example, the Roe Vs. Wade trial on abortion that was all decided by men. It is
more likely that if the case had a women involved there would have been better understanding of the
situation. Term limits will have a major impact on the supreme court because they would decrease
political tense, younger judges are more mentally and physically in touch with current society and
terms will allow more diversity on the court. A sharper mentality will allow a better understanding as
well as diversity on the court. Not only will term limits control the power but will reduce political

Sesame Street Tv Show Research Paper
As a young child, I wasn t allowed to watch my favorite TV show every time I wanted to, because I
was told it would turn my brains to mush. Nowadays screens are everywhere in young children s lives.
The American average of video games played and devices used by children on a normal school day is
over four and a half hours! Is all of this technology helpful to young children? With some kids shows
like Sesame Street, kids can learn from the film almost as well as preschool can. The highly known
Sesame Street tv show provides kids with teachings in reading, math, and other curriculum work.
These lessons can prepare young children for preschool. That is very helpful because that could give
young kids prior knowledge for school and help them ease into their ... Show more content on

Like preschool, Sesame Street doesn t focus on curriculum work and games, the popular show also
teaches kids life lessons like how to listen, how to be kinder, and other non intellectual tutorings.
People may think that Sesame Street is not as social as going to preschool or daycare, so it is bad, but
school is not the key place of social interaction. Friends meet all over the place like church or at the
store. Another claim that tries to prove Sesame Street is helpful is that the learning and benefits do not
last for a long time. That is not the point Sesame Street tries to make, otherwise they would have
based the show on something older children would like. The reason that the benefits of the show are
not long term are because the kids who watch Sesame Street grow out of it and no longer like or
prosper from the show. Also, the teachings in the show only go to a certain grade level, after that, it is
the same level of learning. The purpose of Sesame Street was to help kids before preschool, and it has.
Kids who have watched Sesame Street have a 14% less chance to fall behind in academics at school
than other kids who don t watch the

Dantes Inferno.
Imperfect Punishments
Imagine a place where tyrants stand up to their ears in boiling blood, the gluttonous experience
monsoons of human filth, and those who commit sins of the flesh are blown about like pieces of paper
in a never ending wind storm. Welcome to Dante s Inferno, his perspective on the appropriate
punishments for those who are destined to hell for all eternity. Dante attempts to make the
punishments fit the crimes, but because it is Dante dealing out the tortures and not God, the
punishments will never be perfect because by nature, man is an imperfect creature. Only God is
capable of being above reproach and of metering out a just punishment. While Dante s treatment
towards the tyrants is fitting, his views on the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Being constantly stung by wasps and forced to chase a white flag would be mentally and physically
exhausting and seems to be a torture straight out of hell... yet they aren t even technically in hell. On
the other hand, in Limbo one merely walks around and talks to other luckless souls, which does not
seem to be a punishment constant with what other sinners face in hell. Dante correctly assigned the
right punishments to each group of sinners, but he misplaced both groups. Limbo should be outside of
Hell because they did not have the knowledge of either Heaven or Hell. The Ante Inferno should be
the first level of Hell, reserved for those who knew about Heaven and Hell, choose neither side, and
now must face the fact that by their indecision, are bound to suffer in Hell.
While Dante may have geographically misplaced these two groups of sinners, he did correctly punish
most of the sinners in Hell. For example, the river of blood in which boils everyone / Whose violence
hurt others (Canto XII 41 42) describes the perfect punishment for those who were violent while they
were alive. The degree of the violence committed also factors into the punishment. Tyrants who
slaughtered many people are completely covered in boiling blood, while those who were violent
against only a few suffer with blood up to their torsos. This is the perfect punishment because violence
is a crime of

The Use of Debt in the Capital Structure of Companies
OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY
The study generally aims to fill the gap in the literature by empirically examining the relationship
between the use of debt in the capital structure of companies and the factors related to the capital
structure. Specifically the objectives of this research are to achieve the following: To identify factors
affecting a firm s leverage by multiple regressions analysis of determinants of leverage full sample as
well as sector by sector and index by index and comprise them. To analyze the relationship between
firm characteristics variables and policy and decision variables with leverage of firm. To examine
empirically the pecking order theory of capital structure, full sample as well as sector by sector and
index by index and comprise them. To examine empirically the traditional trade off theory by target
adjustment model, full sample as well as sector by sector and index by index and comprise them. To
suggest which theory of capital structure is explaining financing behavior of firms listed on National
Stock Exchange of India (NSE) as well as firms in different sectors and different indexes.
Research gaps There is no comprehensive study on the financing behavior of the enlisted firms in
NSE India. Some variables have been tested by some researchers; nevertheless, there has not been
significant emphasis on variables such as the effect of market to book equity ratio on leverage . The
methodology will incorporate both time series analysis and

the year 2030. Thus keeping all its stakeholders highly satisfied and motivated.
How is it consistent, verifiable and feasible?
The statement clearly indicates a time period of achieving the vision statement by the year 2030 which
makes it verifiable. PepsiCo also has a significant market share globally, with few immediate threats
in the form of competition, so being the singular most dominant supplier in this chain could be
considered feasible, as seen in the diagram below.
Hence, the vision statement keeps its consistency with PepsiCo s mission statement and values.
How is it inspirational?
Focusing on the words singular and most dominant , in PepsiCo s vision statement, all stakeholders
will be inspired and motivated to achieve more, work harder, and be greater than they already are. The
statement could be considered fairly aggressive, but it is definitely motivational when read to large

Theme Of Family In The String Of Pearls
Another issue it caught my attention is the fact that family is assumed to be the only one who is
always there for helping you, however, in this novel, family is everyone s only enemy. In Victorian
period, the idea of family as sacred was expanded through cultural media, social or political discourses
and education. Novels like this which included marriage and domesticity contained debates of love
and family either principal or secondary story. These kinds of work made people see family as a
source of real happiness, despite the fact that abhorrent mistreatment happened in many households. It
would be interesting considering what Marry Strauss, a domestic violence expert, says about this
issue; With the exception of the police and military, the family is perhaps the most violent social
group, and the home is the most violent social setting. (15) Even ... Show more content on

The working class was so unable to reach a proper style of life that had to try anything to achieve
success, even if that implicated to harm other people.
As Rosalind Crone points out in her book; In The String of Pearls , the social evil of anonymity is
successfully encapsulated in the character of the villain, Sweeney Todd, who, under the dark cloak of
the metropolis, and by taking advantage of the fragility of modern urban communities, could continue
to operate his murder machine for years without raising the suspicious of his neighbours. Although
some thought the barber was a little cracked , the people in the local community genuinely respected
this seemingly well to do businessman. His portrait on the first number of the 1850 novelette further
emphasises his external normality. (Crone

There are two medical television series that stand above most others. These two shows put an
emphasis on their personal, rather than professional lives. Bill Lawrence s television series Scrubs and

better because of Shonda Rhime s use of character, point of view, and conflict.
Scrubs main character is John Dorian or J.D played by Zach Braff. Greys Anatomy main character is

Conflict is an opposing force that faces a main character. It is needed in every series so that the
characters can grow and change. The two main types of conflict are external and internal. What is
unique about both medical series is that they feature both types of conflict. They show the internal
conflicts and struggles among the characters and the external conflicts of nature and their colleagues.
J.D. is in a constant battle with his mentor Dr.Cox and the janitor. He has a bromance with Chris Turk
he best friend and an on and off romantic relationship with Elliot Reid. J.D. fantasizes about what
could happen; good or bad. His daydreams are often his personal thoughts and feelings in the
particular situations. This series is a high energy comedy. Meredith Grey has a constant need to live up
to her famous surgeon mother s reputation. Meredith questions her abilities as a doctor because of her
mother s lack of support. Despite her lack of confidence Meredith always steps up to the challenges at
work. She also suffers from many external conflicts that force her character to make internal choices
and changes. To make these changes she has help from the other interns and her future husband
Dr.Shepherd. Meredith s constant conflict with herself and others creates drama which maintains
viewer s attention and interest.

Who Stayed On Junas On The Em
Four days later they, without O Donnell, who stayed on Junas to work on the EM device, made their
way, with IQ and Screwdriver as guides, in a transport vessel towards the planet Kalos to inspect the
battle fleet. None was ready for the incredible sight as they approached the planets orbital plane. The
rate of the fleets construction was unbelievable. In four days, six finished battle groups, each
containing three thousand battle cruisers, already orbited the western side of the planet, with at least
thirty finished fighter squadrons, each containing five hundred fighters, orbiting its eastern side. IQ
slowed the transport ship down and guided it into the planet s atmosphere before turning towards the
Central Construction Headquarters. On the ground, the heavy rumble of industry vibrated the
atmosphere like a constant thunder as they walked from the transport vessel to a waiting runabout.
Everywhere around, androids worked at impossible paces as automated machines spun and clattered.
Above their heads, booms swished to and fro as they swung their heavy payloads from one place to
another and, amidst all of this, loud orders cut through the dust filled noise like gaggles of tempered
Geese. The loudest of these belonging to Sidebottom. Get a move on! He shouted, as he whizzed

Why I Interned As A Quantitative Analyst At American...
I interned as a Quantitative Analyst at American Century Investment this summer, working with the
Disciplined Equity Research team to test, construct, and maintain a research library of stock selection
and design quantitative tools for evaluating and analyzing stocks during merger and acquisition
transactions. I took on significant responsibility, which provided me with a depth of knowledge and
expanded mu skills. My main project is focused on infrastructure, process, and factor analysis of
Factor Library.
Financial factor models are developed in an attempt to answer the question: What really generates
performance? Production Alpha models are rich and powerful, however, it is still a subset of
information that has return and risk implication, many other investment signals should not be ignored.
Therefore, the motivation of my project is to build, analyze, and monitor a factor library that satisfies
the following criteria: First, it has a rich set of factors covering full spectrum of alphas and risks;
second, it can be viewed as a robust and scalable platform that not only can build and maintain factors,
but also can be used to analyze factors behaviors and fund exposures. The goal of the project is to
trace insightful connection between the return of equity and the underlying factors to find out which
factors generate returns for stocks. A factor can be thought of as any characteristics relating a portfolio
of securities that is important in explaining their performance

Essay On Abolishment Of Slavery
American Slavery is known as the phenomena that enslaved nearly 12 Million individuals and created
the foundation for America s Industrial, Technological, and the current day Digital Revolutions. This
phenomenon impacted millions, and acted as the footing for modern day racial oppression. While it is
common knowledge that the heinous practice of slavery was eliminated with the Thirteenth
Amendment, it is not common knowledge of the true reasoning regarding the abolishment of slavery.
Slavery as a peculiar institution of government sanctioned forced servitude is also the first historical
form of legislative exploitation, where a slave, and their fruits from labor, became the private property
of the slave owner. Due to this, the estimated economic benefit of slavery was $6 billion during the
American Slavery era or $300 billion today. While it would be pleasant to confidently state that the
United States abolished slavery because it was immoral, Thomas Jefferson s Notes of the State of

However, due to Jefferson s lavish lifestyle, long construction and changes to Monticello, imported

Bill Clinton Moral Leadership
For many years there have been people who obtain a high leadership billet, but are not worthy of it.
These leaders who are not worthy of it tend to lack moral standing and responsibility. Mortals are a
person s standards of behavior or beliefs concerning what is and is not acceptable. Although many
people believe that it is acceptable for leaders and politicians to have moral deficiencies, it is
imperative to be of the highest moral standing to be successful.
Let s take our Forty Second President Mr. Bill Clinton for example of poor self knowledge on what s
acceptable and not acceptable when in a leadership position. Certainly he lacked moral standing
because he was impeached from his presidency with two charges, perjury and obstruction

Essay On Video Games
There is this new video game I have started playing. It s called Player Unknown s Battlegrounds. This
game is a multiplayer shooter in which a hundred players parachute onto an island and fight to the
death. When you first land, you got to find weapons, ammunition, or any supplies that might aid you.
You can either play solo, in a duo, or run with a squad of four people. The main goal is to be the last
man or group standing. First, you have to pick how you re going to play; either by yourself, with
someone else, or with a group. If you are not playing with friends that you know, you might not want
to play duo or squads. You will be at a disadvantage when matched up with groups that work well
together. So when you first load ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Backpacks let you hold more items which can be useful, but it s not necessary. The last thing you want
to do is look for support items like first aid kits and bandages. When you take damage, these items let
you recover lost health. You can also get boosters like painkillers and energy drinks. These items boost
movement speed and slowly regain a little bit of health. Once you got all your gear, it s time to start
moving towards the circle. There s a large white circle called the Playzone. There is a blue circle that
slowly closes in on the white circle that deals damage to anyone caught in it. The way the game works
is that the circle closes in to force players to engage each other. Whenever the circle gets smaller, you
want to hustle and make sure you are in the middle. Either hide in a house or in a bush. Never engage
anyone unless you are sure that you are able to eliminate them because other players will be drawn to
you. Just play it cool and don t panic when you see people. Also, there is supply drops that parachute
into the game. They emit red smoke to let you see where they are. These drops contain top notch gear,
but they attract plenty of players so be careful. A good strategy is to watch of the supply drop instead
of looting it that way you can pick off players going to it if you choose so. Finally, when there is about
twenty players left, things start to get tense. Since the circle is so small at this point, there is going

  • 2. Urethritis Urethritis What is urethritis? Urethritis is a medical term for inflammation of the urethra, which is located at the end of the urinary tract. The urethra is longer in males compared to females as it needs to travel down the length of the penis. When this region of the urinary tract becomes inflamed, patients develop burning on urination, pain, clear or purulent urethral discharge, and occasionally bleeding. Urethritis is most commonly seen in sexually active men. The most common cause of urethritis is infection due to Chlamydia or Gonorrhea. Urethritis is also commonly caused by Mycoplasma genitalium. These forms of urethritis are sexually transmitted diseases. Penile trauma is another potential but less frequently encountered cause of urethritis. Due to the importance of this ... • 3. The Trafficking Of Human Trafficking Essay In this essay, the history of human trafficking will be examined, followed by who is affected by trafficking. Next the scope and types of exploitation will be discussed. Human trafficking is an issue that affects countries all over the world. Governments have made an effort to curb trafficking, however these efforts have been very narrowly focused. American ignorance has led to poor handling of the issues by policy makers. Finally the essay will discuss a proposed solution and set some goals for society to work on in the future. When examining the traditional definition of slavery, it focuses on one human being taking ownership of another. Traditionally slaves were transported by lengthy sea voyages. However, with advancements in transportation human trafficking victims can be quickly and easily moved around the world (Kara 67). According to Robert Uy, Trafficking, prostitution, and slavery have existed since the beginning of civilization and, while at times have been prohibited, have continued to exist (215). Slaves can be exploited virtually forever with a form of slavery known as bonded labor, which has existed for centuries. Individuals involved in this type of slavery are often loaned money with the agreement to work of the debt; unfortunately, the pay is so low the debt is almost never repaid (Kara 67). Despite legislative efforts to pass effective anti trafficking and anti forced labor laws, the overwhelming focus has been on preventing sex trafficking. This coupled ... Some refugees come into Europe already infected with diseases. Greece had a resurgence of malaria that was directly linked to an influx of migrants from Pakistan, and several other countries are at high risk (Migration and Health). Two other diseases leishmaniasis and Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS CoV) also carry the potential to be brought in by immigrants. This is a concern to U.S. national security because the immigrants we accept into the U.S. may be at risk of carrying these diseases. Additionally, even if we effectively care for and treat all infected immigrants ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I made all of my slides and reported on all of them. I think most people, myself included, made the slides on their own computers then transferred the information over to the google doc the day before the presentation. It worked out very nicely. There were minor issues with disagreements on formatting, where the person who had issues with our bright pink background did not check with the group before changing the entire layout the night before the presentation. But we changed it back, and it was no big deal. We tried our best to organize the flow of information from broad to narrow, but it was difficult because we all had such widely different topics. • 5. The Family Structure Of The Family A family is a basic unit in society that consists of blood related persons living together. However, this definition is not totally applicable in today s complementary society due to variations in family relations (Henslin, 2010). Historically, the family structure types were nuclear and extended. The nuclear family consisted of two parents and children. The extended family incorporated grandparents, cousins, auntie uncle and other blood relative. Today, these family types have evolved to include, godparents, single parent families and adopted children (Henslin, 2010). Marriage is the union of unrelated male and female in an Eros relationship and is usually initiated by a ceremony. Marriage is very important as it forms the basis of a family. However, marriage has been modified to include same sex unions. Amid partner death and freewill, divorce, a rampant phenomenon in society today is another major factor contributing to marriage diversity (Henslin, 2010). Divorce is the legal dissolution of a marriage. It has resulted to single parent families. Other family structure variations include polyandry where a woman has multiple husbands or polygamy where a man woman has multiple wives. Modern American unions are mostly monogamous. Cultural factors like gender, ethnicity, age and race shape family structures and processes. Culture defines inheritance, partner selection, descent, and power (Henslin, 2010). When substances such as plastics are improperly disposed into rivers and beaches, it could be very destructive to the environment. Not only do waste mostly plastic waste, contaminate these water bodies, but they also harm marine life. One of the biggest problems that have resulted due to the improper disposition of plastic and other waste is The Great Pacific Garbage Patch. About 80 percent of the debris in the Great Pacific Garbage Patch comes from land based activities in North America and Asia ( Great , 2012). The Great Pacific Patch is an accumulation of trash in the ocean that spans over a large area. Based on studies conducted by Wilcox, Mallos, Leonard, Rodriguez and Hardesty (2016), marine litter mostly plastic has caused severe damage on marine wildlife. Because plastic does not biodegrade, it stays in these large bodies of water an accumulate. Various plastic products can cause suffocation of marine animals and possibly lead to death. Marine animals may view these items as food and consume them. Once it is consumed, they can potentially die. The image above obtained from Bing images illustrates the death of an albatross bird that has consumed plastic waste from the ocean. Due to the microscopic particles, mostly plastic found in the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, it is difficult to find a solution to remove all of the trash on the sea floor. Therefore, a plausible solution would be to implement recycling methods. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Faneuil Hall served as a market place and a meeting hall during the mid seventeen hundreds and is still in use now as a public meeting place for the people of boston. It all started when a wealthy Bostonian Merchant named Peter Faneuil came up with the idea of building a marketplace in Boston. After much debate, Boston accepted Faneuil s proposal. Once it was built, the town government also used the marketplace as a meeting space. The lower lever of the hall was divided into stalls which were exclusively for market purposes. • 11. How Doyle Create Suspense In The Hound Of The Baskervilles Fabricated from the essence of his thoughts, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle revolutionized the mystery genre, as we know it, in his stunning novel, The Hound of the Baskervilles. When read, Doyle s readers embark on a journey to the filthy, crime filled streets of Victorian London and the mysterious moor of the Baskervilles where unknown entities lurk. But most of all, readers come face to face with the man himself, the greatest detective of all time, Mr. Sherlock Holmes. Since it first came out, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle s world renown mystery, The Hound of the Baskervilles, has not failed to delight mystery readers. In fact, readers have enjoyed the novel so much that it has become multiple movies. However, David Attwood s film stands out from the others ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As an author, it is typically harder to create suspense, but Doyle does an excellent job. With the use of red herrings, superstition, cliffhangers, and more, Doyle creates an atmosphere of tension and suspense. An example of one of these techniques is seen through the red herring: Selden. As soon as the word got out that Selden had broken out of jail, he was easily taken as a suspect to readers. However, In the movie, Selden causes more suspense by breaking into Baskerville Hall to get some food. Another example of Doyle creating suspense in the novel was through the cliffhanger: the man on the tor. Doyle creates suspense through this by leaving the readers wondering who was it that Watson saw on the tor. Although Doyle creates suspense pretty well, Attwood creates even more. One major asset that Attwood has is sound effects and noise. This is extremely efficient because Attwood can make the things that Doyle does even better. For example, when the scene about Selden escaping happens, sound effects such as sirens and yelling, make his escape more suspenseful. In the same way, Attwood uses sound effects for things such as the howling of the hound on the moor, or the screaming of victims. Although Attwood creates a lot of suspense through sound effects, I m sure that both Doyle and Attwood would agree that maybe the most effective way of creating suspense is through character actions and nature. In both the movie and the novel, in the resolution, a wave of fog appears before the hound arrives. In the novel, Holmes even says, the one thing upon earth which could have disarranged my plans.... Our success and even his life may depend upon his coming out before the fog is over the path. (218) In this moment, the readers wait for the beast to strike as Doyle takes away their breath. • 13. Examples Of Satan In Dante s Inferno How do people imagine satan? Majority picture him as a red demon with a long tail and a red pitchfork. However, based on Dante alighieri ,Inferno, that is not how Satan, Lucifer, looks like. Lucifer is a three face fallen angel representing the holy trinity and six bat wings total. He is also frozen up to the midpoint of his chess. Indeed frozen and not burning like most readers would think. However it is understandable that Dante show him frozen to prove that evil cannot prevail past God. With this in mind, a Dante alighieri s depiction of Satan at the bottom of hell reveals the theme of in hell the punishment is fit to the crime. Dante depicted satan as he did to prove satan received a fitting punishment. For instance, he mentions, No feathers had they, but as of a bat Their fashion was; and he waving them, So that three winds proceeded forth therefrom. (Dante, Canto 34). Even if Satan try to stop flapping his wing to make the ice melt to escape, once the ice melted he would use his wings to fly making the river freeze again. This fits the crime because just like he betrayed his own God in a way his own wings are betraying him not letting him escape. Rather than seeking sympathy, Herzl prefaced his work with these anti Semitic acts in history as a categorical reason for an autonomous Der Judenstaat, which is literally State of the Jews in German, and began the movement now known as Zionism. It is interesting to note, however, that anti Semitism, which may be defined as the prejudice, discrimination and hatred of Jews as a national, ethnic, religious or racial group, (Anti Semitism) permeated history for millennia before Zionism emerged; yet, many scholars regard it as the predominant impetus for the rise of the Zionist movement. • 20. Compare the Functionalist and Marxist Views on Social... CRITICALLY COMPARE MARXISM AND FUNCTIONALISM IN THE WAY EACH PERSPECTIVE CONCEPTUALIZES THE PHENOMENON OF SOCIAL STRATIFICATION. Social stratification refers to the presence of distinct social groups which are ranked one above the other in terms of factors such as prestige and wealth (Haralambos Holborn, 2004). Those who belong to a particular group or stratum will have some awareness of common interests and a common identity. They also share a similar lifestyle which, to some extent, will distinguish them from members of other social strata (Lenski, 1984). These provide the preconditions for the emergence of a class of producers and a class of non producers (Haralambos Holborn, 2004). According to Marx, the relationship between the major social classes is one of mutual dependence and conflict. The wage laborers must sell their labor power in order to survive since they do not own a part of the means of production. They are therefore, dependent for their livelihood on the capitalists and the wages they offer. The capitalists are dependent on the labor power of wage laborers, since without it there would be no production. This relationship however, is one of an exploiter and exploited or oppressor and oppressed. As such, the ruling class gains at the expense of the subject class which leads to a conflict of interest between them. From a Marxist perspective, capital, which is the money used to finance the production of commodities, is privately owned by the capitalist class. Marx believes that this capital is gained from the exploitation of the working class (Haralambos Holborn, 2004). This he further argued, produced nothing as only labor was capable of producing wealth; yet still the wages paid to workers are well below the value of the goods they produce. Therefore the capitalists realize a surplus value or profit. The bourgeoisie are therefore exploiting the proletariat who are the real producers of wealth. Marx maintained that in all societies, the ruling class exploits and oppresses the subject class. According to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 21. The National Women s Party The National Women s Party also known as N.W.P was an American Women s organization formed in 1916 as an outgrowth of the congressional union which in turn was formed in 1913 by Alice Paul and Lucy Burns to fight women s suffrage ignoring all other issues. These two women strongly felt that women all over the world need rights in general and that women did not get the same rights as men did. This was at a time when all the women could not vote but men could. At this time women cooked, cleaned and took care of the kids. That was what the men expected the women to do. These two women wanted these rights so they could feel that they could change something. They did change some things. Even though they eventually got their right to vote it did not mean these women voted. It was not the fact that they wanted to vote it that meant so much to them as the fact that they wanted and had the same rights as the men. The women s voting rights were gained in Finland, Iceland, Sweden and some Australian colonies and western U.S. states in the late 19 century. National and International organizations formed to coordinate efforts to gain voting rights, especially the international women suffrage alliance founded in 1904, Berlin Germany also worked for equal civil rights for women. Welcome to Dante s Inferno, his perspective on the appropriate punishments for those who are destined to hell for all eternity. Dante attempts to make the punishments fit the crimes, but because it is Dante dealing out the tortures and not God, the punishments will never be perfect because by nature, man is an imperfect creature. On the other hand, in Limbo one merely walks around and talks to other luckless souls, which does not seem to be a punishment constant with what other sinners face in hell. Dante correctly assigned the right punishments to each group of sinners, but he misplaced both groups. Limbo should be outside of Hell because they did not have the knowledge of either Heaven or Hell. The Ante Inferno should be the first level of Hell, reserved for those who knew about Heaven and Hell, choose neither side, and now must face the fact that by their indecision, are bound to suffer in Hell. While Dante may have geographically misplaced these two groups of sinners, he did correctly punish most of the sinners in Hell. For example, the river of blood in which boils everyone / Whose violence hurt others (Canto XII 41 42) describes the perfect punishment for those who were violent while they were alive. In Victorian period, the idea of family as sacred was expanded through cultural media, social or political discourses and education. Novels like this which included marriage and domesticity contained debates of love and family either principal or secondary story. These kinds of work made people see family as a source of real happiness, despite the fact that abhorrent mistreatment happened in many households.
