The Yellow Wallpaper Symbolism Essay
Commonly overlooked in its significance, the garden in The Yellow Wallpaper successfully represents
all elements of the main character s rebellious intentions. Generally, a garden features well trimmed
vegetation, which is guarded by a fence or wall to keep away outside forces, whether it be humans or
animals with intentions to harm the plants. In contrast, nature operates in a free flowing manner, with
its greenery tangled in abundance and lacking any type of structure. On the surface, it may seem that
the garden s kempt appearance is a blessing to the plants within, as they are saved from the
uncertainties of natural life by being incubated in a specific space. The main character of The Yellow
Wallpaper originally follows this notion ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The word choice the main character employs to describe the plants is particularly notable, as it implies
a disobedient appearance in a garden that expects conformity in its essence. This oddly described
foliage becomes the inanimate representation of the main character herself, who is also trying to rebel
against a world passionate in its attempts to suppress and demean. The plants become riotous and
gnarly to actively resist attempts to be subordinated by the garden, and the main character s
observation of this conveys her desire to revolt, even though she cannot express her displeasure in a
communicable language. The main character s envy of the plants makes this symbol even more
powerful, as the greenery represents where she seeks to be: in a position where she can fight her
oppressors by being openly nonconformist. Unfortunately for the main character, her rebellious
behavior haves to be tucked away in the subconscious and in her own thoughts, as she is unable to
voice legitimate concerns in a patriarchal

Darwinism And Religion Gould Summary
At the beginning of the essay Gould made a clear reference to a dear friend, Kirtley Mather, who was
a pillar of both science and Christian religion in America (Gould, 1981). Comparatively, this appealed
to the emotions of the reader, unlike most scholarly works Gould reminded the reader of his humanity.
Often, Christians relate evolution as being the work of a devil, or some form of subhuman, out to
misguide their faith; therefore, the reader assumed this was Gould s way of facilitating a viable
connection with biased readers before undermining creationism. Darwinism is known as the theory of
evolution, and creationists repeatedly utilize a mistaken vernacular of the word theory to denounce
evolution. Although, a theory is part of a hierarchy of confidence running downhill from fact to theory
to hypothesis to guess (Gould, 1981). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Moreover, Gould explained how theories are the anatomy behind ideas, which attempt to decipher
facts. Facts are data, they form the fabric of reality, but like Gould said, Einstein s theory of
gravitation replaced Newton s, but apples did not suspend themselves in mid air, pending the outcome.
And humans evolved from apelike ancestors whether they did so by Darwin s proposed mechanism or
by some other, yet to be discovered (Gould, 1981). In other words, Darwinism is a theory, but human
genetics were, without a doubt, sown from the same seeds as apes, and even if another theory replaces
Darwinism our ancestry will remain the

The Government Agency Postal Service
Look. You may not believe me, but you have to listen. They are after me! They want me to be killed,
forgotten... dead. Don t give me that confused face, you need to help me, now! Come on, Speak to me.
Okay, okay, fine, let me start all the way from the beginning.
You remember when I got my first job? The postal duties. Well, that is what I sort of do now, but for
the government. When I first applied for the government agency postal service, I had to complete a
test to see if I was right for the job. I somehow passed. I regret It. The following day, they told me to
come to the government building alone. At first I thought It was strange how they distinctively told me
to go with no one else, but they told me that it was all a part of the ... Show more content on

Above me, I saw a light slowly get brighter. It was a spotlight shining directly on me. I saw a bright
blue projection appear on the wall in front of me which then cut to the silhouette of a man. With his
deep solemn voice he said, The following information is fully classified to the public. Do you accept
to hear? I said yes. He then went on to explain something extraordinary that hid right under our noses,
literally.
Oh God! I really shouldn t tell you the rest. Oh, um, okay. I ll continue, sorry.
So, believe it or not, Humans can live forever. Yea, I sound insane, but you must keep listening.
Ever since monkeys started to evolve into humans, they began to notice that their lifetime spam
expanded. The only way that they could control the rapid population growth is killing off humans.
These deaths can occur in may different ways such as crashes, fires and the most common, age. Yep.
All of these things are deliberately caused by the government. On the date of September 11th 2001,
the government had the plan to fly a plane filled with innocent passages into the twin towers and
blame it on the terrorists. They succeeded and somehow completely went unnoticed. With the death by

Some people stopped growing years ago. We might not bury them until they have stopped moving, but
they really died years ago. You can change your attitude. When we refuse to change and resist God s
leading, life can become pretty miserable. Nevertheless, many times we won t change until the pain of
remaining the same becomes greater than the pain of changing.
Failure is not when you get knocked down. Failure is when you refuse to get back up. Don t hang
around the swamps of despair. They will only skew you attitude and impede your resilience. Learn to
bounce back quickly.
Our attitude will either protect us or defeat us in the midst of storms. Let us develop our attitude well.
Train your eyes to see what is good was emphasized on the third chapter of the book. All our lives, we
have trained our eyes to see what is bad. From an early age, we have been training ourselves
incorrectly. We get up and read the morning newspaper over breakfast, getting our minimum daily
requirement of bad news. On the way to work, we stop by the newsstand and by the latest issue of a
newspaper so we can find out what s wrong with the world.
We have to retrain our eyes. The reason is this: Whatever we re looking for is what we will see. That s
how God made us. If we are looking for something good, we will see what is good. If we are always
looking for what is wrong with people, what we will see is everything that is wrong.

Fahrenheit 451 Essay
As renowned author Ernest Hemingway said, There is no friend as loyal as a book . This can be true at
times, but in Ray Bradbury s novel Fahrenheit 451, many people in the novel s dystopian society think
otherwise. In this essay I ll be discussing the 5 books I d save from the firemen if I was Guy Montag
in Fahrenheit 451, and which of the 5 I d choose to remember and become . The books I d save would
be Harper Lee s To Kill a Mockingbird, Markus Zusak s The Book Thief, Jandy Nelson s I ll Give You

The novel continues to open up people s minds and take us all back in time with its setting and
lessons. The third book I d choose to save from the firemen is Jandy Nelson s I ll Give You the Sun.
This novel revolves around fraternal twins Noah and Jude, who used to be basically inseparable. Now
that they re getting older, they begin to drift apart. The reasons I d save this novel from the firemen are
that it deals with very real things for teenagers and kids such as puberty, sexuality, deaths in the
family, and divorce. It teaches readers that you should never be afraid of being who you truly are, that
if things are tough right now then they will get better with time, and that your family will almost
always be there for you when you re going through something. It focuses on the mannerisms of
teenagers who are just being themselves, who are only human, and are still trying to find themselves. I
feel that this novel would help teens grow and help find themselves and develop, just like Noah and
Jude. The fourth book I d choose to save from the firemen is the book of Genesis from the Bible.
Genesis speaks of beginnings, of the heavens and the earth, animals, humans, plants, family, society
and civilizations, and of sin and redemption. The list really goes on and on. The book of Genesis is
foundational to the understanding of the rest of the Bible. Its message is rich and complex, and listing
its main elements gives a succinct outline of the

Almost Conflict In Regard To Richard Dawkins
In a way, I feel almost conflicted in regard to the Richard Dawkins quote. On one hand, I agree very
much with what Dawkins said. When we think about it, it is truly amazing how many possible
potential people there are that could be created, yet haven t been yet, or many never be. There is so
much unknown, that, sadly enough, we may never know of. Surely there is a scientist out there that
holds all the answers to life after death, and a playwright with more timely works than Shakespeare.
But still, they all remain a mystery. And, who knows, they may remain that way for a long, long time;
probably longer than you and I combined. And it makes me think: what are we missing out so greatly
on? How simple and basic are our lives now, compared

Sticks and Stones
Freedom of Speech is possibly the most respected American ideal. Envied by citizens of countries
where self expression is a right of some and stricken from others, we uphold this concept with
defensive pride. However, we must ask ourselves if this freedom can ever go too far. When does
lenience turn into naivety? If speech is abused so freely that it enslaves the minds of another should it
become a privilege, rather than a right? In his essay On Racist Speech , Charles R. Lawrence III
argues for limitations on Freedom of Speech as described in the First Amendment to prevent only the
most heinous racial remarks. While I understand why many Americans initially find limiting freedom
of speech contradictory to the concept of our free states, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some citizens opposed a restriction on speech simply because they feel it is not a complete upholding
of American law. However, we must decide whether the restriction of free speech for protection is
entirely acceptable or not at all because responses are often inherently hypocritical. While opposition
will often argue that racial comments cause no harm and are a right of the First Amendment, the same
people may argue for restrictions of free speech in other circumstances. It is likely that the majority of
people oppose allowing pedophiles the right to express their sexual feelings to a child over the
internet, which is already a legally enforced restriction on freedom of speech. Although there may be
no physical contact between the child and the pedophile, it is important to parents that their children
are protected from the possibility of such a threat as well as any emotional distress caused by
inappropriate comments. Further examples are found in government views on sexism in the
workplace. How much can we restrict the class of people we defend before our laws become just as
prejudice as the injustice they attempt to cease? Lawrence reminds us that the Supreme Court... held
that sexual harassment that creates a hostile or abusive work environment violates the ban on sex
discrimination in employment of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. (64); the same Title
prohibits employment discrimination based on race, color, religion... and national

Despite evidence pointing to the innocence of Japanese immigrants living in America, racial bias and
irrational fears lead to the internment of thousands of Japanese Americans. When Pearl Harbor is

Case Study Of Burger King And Tim Hortons
The size of potential synergies is small as Burger King and Tim Hortons will continue working as
distinct brands. As a result, only common corporate services and several purchase savings will enjoy
any arising synergies.
2.1 Burger King First, Burger King will experience an increase in revenue after taking over Tim
Hortons (Kirby, 2014). The increase of revenue is due to the improved menu resources. However,
menu resources will not help Burger King outdo its current competitors like McDonalds. It will only
help to improve Burger King position. Improved menu resources perfectly suit the takeover s new
model of concentrating strongly on international growth. Burger King knows Tim Hortons has been
trying hard to acquire a base on United States markets for several years now despite highly strong
demand in Canada. At the same time, Burger King has been dealing with high competitive tension in
the United States fast food sector. For instance, Chipotle Mexican Grill recently led the country s fast

case, Tim Hortons menu is diverse with breakfast segments that rival those of Starbucks. Tim Hortons

It s a bird, it s a plane, no its Superman! You remember these comic book heroes don t you? For
decades comic book characters such as Superman, Spiderman, Batman, and Wonder Woman have
captured the imaginations of American children and adults alike. Superheroes they have been coined.
But these figures only exist in our imaginations. Batman is not really there to save us from villains
such as the Joker and the Riddler is he? Because these heroes are fictional, we are left without real life
heroes, or are we? There must be heroes or there would never b e a peaceful night s rest, we would be

horrors in the world as a child, didn t want to take away the innocence by letting you know that not

for you that when you stop and take a look, you can see that they were your heroes from the very

Ever been driving down the road, possibly with a child in the backseat, and all of a sudden the wail of
a siren blast through the air and you pull off the road? Within seconds you see flashing lights and a

The Use Of Forced Restraint And Mild Analgesia
Introduction As healthcare professionals, the goal is to relieve pain and suffering with little to no harm
done1,2. While children suffer similarly from pain as adults do, there are different factors to take into
account. Children might suffer from a heightened sense of fear and anxiety as compared to adults3 and
as such, the age old concept of forced restraint is no longer acceptable and may even compound the
child s fear in hospitals and needles throughout life1,4. While distraction techniques, play therapy and
mild analgesia might be sufficient in producing a cooperative and relaxed child4,5, for severe pain,
this is not an option and general anaesthesia or sedation is often used instead1,6,7. Furthermore, given

Moreover, IV infusion can be utilized in other roles. For instance, there are situations where a Y line
might be utilized to allow piggybacking or the addition of a second infusion set onto the same line10.
This helps to reduce the number of IV sites required in a patient and therefore, can reduce the risk of
infection as well as improving patient comfort. Whilst Y site administration is commonly used in
hospitals, there are limitations to it. For instance, once a drug has been administered intravenously, it
cannot be reversed11. Therefore, any adverse effect observed is difficult to treat. This issue is only
magnified when two or more drugs which are incompatible are administered together12 (Fig 1.0).
There are guides and references available when looking at drug incompatibility but they can be

hence the responsibility falls the pharmacist to determine if the infusion is suitable for treatment or
not. This paper seeks to look at the drug ketamine; a sedative commonly used in pain management,
combined with two other commonly used drugs in hospitals, vancomycin; an antibiotic, and tramadol;
an analgesic. It will also seek to define incompatibility before looking at the importance of drug
compatibility and limitations of guides following the administration of Y site infusion in pain
management of pediatrics. Literature Search The search terms used on

The Wonderful Workforce
Separation in the workforce between male and female jobs creates a setting of inequality and
instability in the work force, which limits certain career paths citizens should pursue and promotes an
idea of inequality in employment opportunities. In tradition, the man is the breadwinner of the family;
while this has changed, men still dominate many career paths. Once upon a time, only men were
allowed to play sports in high school. This had drastically changed, due to Title IX, a law that
provided opportunities to different career paths ( Mythbusting ). But, on a professional sport level,
women are not seen playing in the NFL or the NBA. Women have their own leagues, like the Women
s Basketball Association. There are blended sports, but, for the most part, men and women are
separate. The main argument is that women are not as physically able as men and therefore, they
should not compete with men. People see this separation as fair; but, this gender separation will lead
to men controlling the sports world (Faulmueller 1 2). However, the amount of women in professional
coaching careers is diminutive. A mere two to three percent of male teams are coached by females and
in women s sports, the amount of female coaches has plummeted forty two percent; female coaches
already earn less than their counterparts and many are now struggling to find new careers (Waldron 2.

Abortion Vs Pro Life Essay
Introduction Abortion is a big social issue. Either being a Pro Life or a Pro Choice. Choosing a life or
aborting the life of a baby. When the baby is inside the womb, the mother or family has the choice to
either keep the baby or have an abortion. People need to know what all happens in an abortion, and if
they are Pro Life or a Pro Choice person. Description The abortion issue is a case where the doctor
terminates a pregnancy. Abortions are preformed normally before the third trimester. People around
the world are in a jam. They are fighting about if being pro choice is right or if being pro life is right.

I am not the one that says that handicapped children should be aborted. No. I am the one that says it is
wrong on all terms. The crazy thing is that there is at least 210,000,000 pregnancies a year, and
75,000,000 are abortions. Out of those abortions 21,600,000 of them are unsafe. Out of those unsafe
abortions there have been about 8,500,000 mothers needed to have medical attention because they
were either depressed, or very injured. 47,000 mothers have died in those abortions. To me that is just
very depressing and sad. They say the babies can t feel anything. That s where they are very wrong.
An unborn baby is able to feel pain at the earliest of 8 weeks, at 20 weeks the baby can feel more pain
than the average human. Some abortions can be because of rape , no 99% of abortions have nothing to
do with rape. The sad thing is that if you work out the numbers theres about 1.3 million abortions a
year. 1.3 million divided by 365 days, comes out to 3,500 a day. 3,500 a day divided by 24 hours,
comes out to 145 an hour. 145 divided by 1 hour(60 min), that sadly comes out to 2 per min. Coming
from a Catholic background and growing up always knowing that abortion is a bad thing, I can make

The Same Rights As American Citizens
2. The same rights as American citizens. It is unfair to arrest millions of undocumented immigrants.
Conservatives only support legal immigration and oppose amnesty for those who enter the U.S.
illegally (illegal immigrants). Those who break the law by entering the U.S. illegally do not have the
same rights as those who obey the law and enter legally. The borders should be secured before
addressing the problem of the illegal immigrants currently in our country. The Federal Government
should enforce current immigration law to ensure not only our safety, but the illegal activity taking
place in our country today. There are other good alternatives to welfare. Private charities can
successfully serve the poor. Arnold Kling quotes, Those organizations that work directly with poor
people stand a better chance of learning how to meet their needs (Bily, 2009, p 71). He believes
charitable organizations are more flexible, accountable, and efficient. The poor would be better served
by a new tax policy directing more money to private charities and less to the federal and state
government. The role of charitable organizations is better than the government as a source of aid. It is
easier for donors or volunteers to hold charitable organizations accountable than it is for taxpayers to
hold government accountable. Failed government programs can go on forever, but an unsuccessful
charity has a more difficult time obtaining adequate funding. In 2005,

The History of John Deere
John Deere History
John Deere has seen many changes since its founding in 1837. It began with a polished piece of steel
that became a plow, and from that humble beginning an agricultural powerhouse was formed. John
Deere has created many tractors and farming instruments that have made farmers lives easier. John
Deere has delivered superior products to the world of agriculture. Agriculture has improved
immensely due to product technology and innovation. (expand)
John Deere was an accomplished blacksmith known for his craftsmanship and creativity during the
years farming was really taking off (Broehel). In 1830 he moved west settling in Grand Detour, Illinois
where his blacksmith business, consisting of primarily of making horseshoes and wagon wheels grew.
He noticed the plows the pioneers brought from the east were having trouble in the hard soil. Thats
when he made his first plow out of a broken saw blade. He was hoping his new design would cut the
soil better and it did (1). His invention sold so fast he could not keep up with the demand. He knew he
needed to expand, so he moved his business to a new location in Moline, Illinois where he had more
room and access to water to power his equipment.
In 1843 John Deere ordered a shipment of steel from England because it was less expensive. However,
it was still an enormous cost and prevented him from continuing to expand his new operation in
Moline (Deere Company 1). Three years later he was able to get his steel made in

The Dangers Of Credit Cards
Dangers of Credit
When you get a credit card you would feel as if spending
money is painless and easy. Using cash will cause you to
think because it would disappear for every, making it more
of a harder thing to do. Making credit cards easier to spend
money on causing people to go into debit.
How do people go into
debt ?
Credit card organizations don t just give people money
because they want to be nice. Those companies count
on people being forgetful or not responsible causing
them to be late or not being able to pay off their debit.
if you are late or it s just the matter that you don t have
enough money to pay it off that month, then you will
have to pay a fee. On top of that free their will be
interest. So then you will have to end up paying more
from what you actually owe. They do not care if you go
under a spiral of debit, it s just a game to them , and the
companies are the ones getting rich.
How can I prevent debt?
Since companies want people to fall
under debit. Try to not be that
person. Be that person who pays
their money they owe every month.
Don t buy food or things under 10
dollars with it. Create a budget ,
which shows you where and how much many you can spend.
Finally , when you are buying something with your credit

Similarities Between King Lear And Much Ado About Nothing
Lear Ado
(A Comparative Analysis of Dramatic Genres Between Shakespeare s, King Lear and Much Ado
About Nothing) Within the world of drama and performance, there are two central ends of the genre
spectrum. These are essentially the light and dark of the stage. These opposite ends of the spectrum
are comedy and tragedy, respectively. While some people may prefer one genre over the other, these
both find ways to tell great stories with greatly different methods. One eternally famous playwright,
William Shakespeare wrote countless plays in both of these styles. Two exquisite examples of these
genres are his King Lear, and Much Ado About Nothing. These plays demonstrate the great contrast
between comedy and tragedy through the high to low character falls or climbs, amount of humor, and
prominence of death and suffering. The greatest difference between comedy and tragedy lies in the
transition of how characters rise and fall. Comedies typically end with low characters ending happily,
heroes succeeding, and sources of tension find themselves in a ... Show more content on

The plot of Much Ado About Nothing is riddled with countless jabs, jokes, irony, and humorous

the play occur when either Benedick and Beatrice are overhearing a conversation that their friends
purposely say to trick their respective hopeless romantic into falling in love. Benedick and Beatrice
are deceived by their friends, but this deception stems from their delusion that they can avoid love and

Making The Best Of The Worst Situation Poem Analysis
There is an Italian proverb that states, Since the house is on fire, let us warm ourselves. People might
chuckle when they hear that the first time, but what it actually means is try to make the best of the
worst situation. This is very important for people to remember in society today, especially since many
people go through rough times and just mourn over their situation instead of staying positive. Also
some people don t recognize how grateful they should be for the things they have. This proverb can be
seen in Martin Luther King, Jr., Helen Keller, the recovery and volunteers who contributed in the
Joplin tornado, and even in a poem by Tirzah Conway, called Making the Best of a Bad Situation. One
man who made the best of a bad situation was Martin Luther King, Jr. Many people know him by his

this poem is, I was having me a terrible day, Everyone grumbling at work; No one had nothing nice to

apparent reason. Also people could tell this lady is having a pretty bad day. The next line says, I

being hasty to condemn (Conway). This quote shows even though this person was having a bad day at

Apollonian And The Dionysian
The Apollonian and the Dionysian is a philosophical concept based on different mythologies, many
Philosophers and figures have invoked this dichotomy in critical and creative works. Both are one of
the important themes within Nietzsche s first major work, The Birth of Tragedy and they are terms
used to designate the two central principles in Greek culture.
As far as I know the Apollonian and the Dionysian are both the sons of (God of the sky s) Zeus,
Apollonian is the god of reason and the rational, while the Dionysian is the god of the irrational and
chaos, and that is coming from the Greek mythology. From that mythology I understand that the
Apollonian is based on reason and the logic thinking, and the Dionysian is based on chaos and ...

Define Community Analysis
Community, what is community? How would you define it? Community can be defined as a
geographic location in a way that a group of individuals live in the same area like a neighborhood, a
city, a district, a town, or a country. In simplest terms, it is where you live. However, individuals can
also feel a sense of community through the place where they grew up or where they often go and visit.
It can also be a group of individuals who have certain characteristics in common such as religion, race
or ethnicity, culture, beliefs, professional and economic ties, interests, and more. Individuals refer
themselves to particular attributes or affinities (what individuals like to do). For example, individuals
say I belong to an Asian community or I belong to an art community. As such, community bestows
one a sense of identity (who people ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Even though individuals are different and unique from each other, they all come to one because of that
one particular shared interest.
For me, community is bigger than that. I believe that community is diversity, kinship, unity, identity,
cooperation, passion, similarity, strength, motivation, and guidance. The word community does not
only limit itself to a group of individuals who have shared characteristics, interests, and experiences,
but it also goes beyond the idea of a group of diverse individuals coming together. These are
individuals who have different ethnicities, race, religion, culture, traditions, and so forth. Within a
community is where one develops relationships with other people over time by means of interacting
and communicating regularly, whether it would be in person or online. Thus, a better understanding of
the surroundings and in greater span, the world, is formed. Community is where it starts. Differences
are set aside. It is a place where everyone works together to make their community a better place or a
harmonious place to dwell. Everyone contributes whatever

Pros And Cons Of Caging Hens
Caging hens is unacceptable and a barbaric way of keeping animals. In New Zealand, 80% of hens are
currently suffering in battery cages, living an unnatural lifestyle. This inhumane way of farming has to
stop as it s detrimental to the rights of hens and all animals to live and be treated without cruelty and I
believe it is simply unjust. Not only are these defenseless Hens killed, they are also denied the right to
move and walk, are arguably tortured and will never spread their wings. The ban of battery cages
needs to take a stronger stance as the phasing out of battery cages by 2022 serves only to make way
for colony cages which are just as cruel. Colony cages fail to meet the welfare of Hens and don t

I believe that the cost is well worth it because the welfare of animals is very important. The raise in
egg and poultry prices will have an impact on families all over New Zealand unless the government
subsidises the abolishment of battery farming and colony cages. If the government continues to keep
the prices the same as they are now while making NZ farms free range it will be a win/win situations
for both the welfare of animals and humans. The change in egg prices may not be as drastic for Kiwi
families as I have found there is just a mere $0.24 difference between a single size 7 factory farmed
egg and free range eggs at countdown. Is a couple of dollars per dozen eggs really worth the
exploitation of hens? Caged eggs may be cheaper but it comes at the expense of Animal welfare. New
Zealand needs to abolish not only battery cages but colony cages also. The effects these farming
methods have on hens is undeniably disgusting and needs to be stopped. In order for us to ensure
farmers are treating their hens ethically, routinely checks and stricter rules need to be

DIESELGATE AND IT PROFESSIONAL ISSUES
In early 2014 a group of scientists at West Virginia University, 2 students and two professors tested
three cars for their emissions. For Passat and Jetta two Volkswagen cars, their found that in real
driving conditions the US emissions limits was exceeded by factor of 15 to 25 and by factor 5 to 20
for Jetta and Passat respectively.(1) This confirmed the discrepancies already found by International
Council on Clean Transportation (ICCDT) in Europe. On 18 September 2015 the United States
Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) seed a Notice o Violation (NOV) alleging that
Volkswagen Group had an emissions compliance defeat device installed.(2) In this case this defeat
device was an installed firmware with an algorithm intentionally forged with an intention to detect and

known which individual software engineers are personally responsible for doing this. But from
software engineer point of view it might be interesting to answer the question what can we learn from
this affair? What IT professional issues it raised?
It was always Volkswagen ambition to conquer US car market. One of the difficulties they faced was
common in USA loyalty to domestic car vendors. Another problem is different market structure.

Business Etiquette in Japanese Negotiations
Business Etiquette in Japanese Negotiations
The world economy is dependent on trade between countries. As globalization of the world s economy
increases, companies depend on international negotiations to build strong relationships and extend
their services to a larger market. Since World War II, Japan and the
United States have become dependent on one another s markets to fuel their economy. Japan is the
second largest supplier to the U.S. and the United States is the largest supplier of imports to Japan. As
a result, companies strive to teach Japanese business etiquette to their international negotiators.
International negotiators encounter many cultural differences when they are conducting business in
Japan. In addition to language ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Presentations should be well organized and offered in both oral and written formats. The language
barrier makes it difficult for the Japanese to comprehend everything at one time.
Presenting them with written information gives them the opportunity to review what was said so they
fully understand your proposal. They will appreciate your thoughtfulness and acknowledge that you
have taken time to fully prepare for the meeting.1
Next, business in Japan is often conducted in organized groups. The
Japanese are uncomfortable working with single individuals and consider the size of your group a
reflection of how important the business meeting is. In addition, it is recommended that you keep the
same groups throughout the business deal because again, the Japanese want to build long term
relationships with their associates. They will not be accepting of new comers.
The Japanese will place a lot of emphasis on how you are dressed and what gifts you bring. When
deciding what to pack for the business trip, negotiators should keep in mind that the American
business casual style is not acceptable in Japan. Both men and women should dress conservatively
avoiding bright colors and fancy accessories.
Gaudiness is looked down upon in Japan. Women should not wear pants in a business situation.
Japanese men tend to find it offensive.

The Physics Of Golf Ball
Fore! A Newtonian and Projectile Motion Study of the Golf Swing
Physics Around Campus

Physics 102
Spring 2015
Figure 1 below depicts a snap shot of the compact and physics ridden entity known as a golf swing.
Taken at my home in Olympia, WA, this picture was taken moments before the impact between my
driver and the Titleist Pro V1 golf ball. The game of golf is riddled with physics concepts governing
everything from the power generated in the swing, to every impact with the ball, to even the motion of
the ball in the air and on the ground. Everything is governed by and can be explained by physics
concepts. However, this paper will focus on the impact of the clubface and the ball (governed by
Newtonian physics) and then its subsequent flight in the air as a projectile. We will look at both the
first and second laws that Isaac Newton proposed as well as the resulting equations and concepts that
come into effect when the ball is launched. The paper will conclude with a brief aside on the history
surrounding the golf ball and its evolution, and subsequently why (in terms of physics) the golf ball
embodies a very unique and well known physical form.
To begin, consider a ball resting on the tee as can be seen in Figure 1. Before the golfer even begins
his swing, we see evidence of our first physics concept. The ball is resting on the tee and is remaining
there and ceasing to move because of Newton s first law of

During the period between 1893 to 1962 both condition and warranty was generally accepted that they

into an agreement with several big corporations such as the Wal Mart Company which, has allowed
them to expand and to penetrate the international market as well. Netflix markets it services through

By getting the word out through major portals, Yahoo, MSN, and AOL, and through its relationship
with BestBuy, consumers were deluged with information about the Netflix service. The company
offered free trials addressed the skeptics of a radically new service, and resulted in high conversion
rates to continuing customers. The recurring transaction model helped consumers adopt the discipline
of selecting films each week but without pressure. Furthermore, this process allowed consumers to
order movies through a centralized and regional warehouse mechanism created efficiencies similar to
what Amazon developed. Mail order catalog systems would be difficult for movies, but using the
Internet let people both order and pay online(Carmia, 2002).
Likewise, customization and personalization allowed Netflix users to save lists of preferred movies.
As they became available, those films were delivered based on priority. Also, creating partnerships
with other company s was a key strategic focus for Netflix. It was clear that paying upfront and buying
movies at market cost would tie up both cash and inventory. Alliances with movie studios would give
them a share of profits and equity, and a new distribution channel for film content throughout the
product lifecycle (Carmia,

Research Paper On Quebec Sovereignty
Quebec sovereignty movement
The Quebec sovereignty movement is considered a political movement as well as an ideology of
values, ideas and thoughts that supporter s sovereignty for the Canadian province of Quebec. Canada
is similar to the United States was established as a colonial settler state by European colonial powers.
France and England fought over the land for many years and in 1759 the British finally won in the
battle of the Plains of Abraham (Quebec City). Beyond the historic battles, there is a clear
acknowledgement that Canada as an emerging state has always had to tramp very carefully, first
surviving as a colony of Britain, the greatest power of the last century, and then coming of age next

Frida Kahlo Vs Jacques Derrida
It can be argued that Frida Kahlo is a painter that challenged the ideas pertaining to gender, race, and
sexuality. She is known for questioning the essence of these identities. Kahlo famously painted
depictions which show her questioning and exploring her own identity. When looking at her whole
body of work, it is apparent that Kahlo was interested in gender and racial constructs. Frida Kahlo s
painting, Diego and Frida, 1929 1944 is one visual example of how Frida Kahlo was an artist that
challenged ideas surrounding gender, race, and sexuality. This painting can be seen through the lens of
deconstruction to offer a deeper insight into its meaning. Vernon Minor and Jacques Derrida are art
theorists that have also speculated about deconstruction. These two both made an argument that
deconstruction is made stronger when direct opposites are used. ... Show more content on

Deconstruction at its core is an act that ask questions for the sake of asking questions. This is so
because deconstruction is not about reaching a conclusion. Rather, deconstruction seeks to expand
questioning in order to expand perception. Jacques Derrida points out, that there is no such thing as
true deconstruction. Derrida states that every decoding is another encoding It is important to note that
in so saying this, Derrida has fundamentally defining a key characteristic of decoding. There is no way
to truly decode as there is always a naturally occurring need to seek to define what has been decoded.
This, however, is not the goal of decoding. The true aim of decoding is to continually ask questions in
order to raise new questions thus, new understanding. Diego and Frida 1929 1944 contains specific
points of reference within the painting that allude to decoding. In particular, Frida Kahlo uses binary
opposites as imagery in this

Serial Murder Paraphilia
Serial murder has been present for centuries. Some records dating it back as early as the 1800s with
Jack the Ripper. Many theories have been established into the explanation of serial murder such as
trauma control model, motivational model and lust murder (also known as extreme sadism) as
Paraphilia. This essay will focus on lust murder, with a brief commentary on both trauma control and
motivational models in regards to this theory respectively. This will be shown in terms of its historical
context, key features, strengths and limitations and how lust murder as a paraphilia can be used to
explain serial murder. This essay will also outline an introduction to paraphilia s as well as a
contemporary Australian case of Peter Dupas.

A 95yo woman by the name of Kathleen Downes was found dead in her Brunswick lodge room in
1997 a month after Dupas killed Mersina Halvagis at a Fawkner cemetery. Dupas had an extensive
history of violence against women from the murders of Ms Halvagis, Margaret Maher in 1997, and
Nicole Patterson in 1999 . An inquest into the death of Ms Downes however was brought about by his
cellmate, disgraced lawyer Andrew Fraser who was arrested on drug trafficking charges. He told the
court that he had heard confessions by Mr Dupas about the nature of his killings and revealing that he
lived in Pascoe Vale; near the Brunswick lodge. Injuries sustained by Dupas victims were identical
with the ones of Ms Downes. Mr Fraser also believed that Dupas was sociopathic and did not relate
well to others . In the same way as Ressler et.al motivational model, it is hard to establish motive
because he was born into a normal family. The notion of lust murder as paraphilia can be used to
explain serial murder with the integration of both trauma and motivational

Milovan Djilas Conversation With Stalin
Milovan Djilas, a prominent leader of the Yugoslav Partisan movement during World War II and the
Vice President of Yugoslavia under Josip Tito, was the epitome of an idealist. When the 1930s drew to
an end and the idealism that emerged after World War I dwindled, the states adopted a more realist
perspective; they began acknowledging the importance of power in politics and the international
system. However, Milovan Djilas clung onto idealism. He rested his faith on the unrealistic
expectation of just interactions between states and the belief that the Soviet Union was primarily
driven by the goal of advancing the collective interests of the communist states. In Conversations with
Stalin, Milovan Djilas describes his three encounters with Joseph ... Show more content on

He conceded that for all Yugoslav Communist leaders, Stalin was the indisputable head of
communism, but he was puzzled as to why other communist leaders― in this case, Tito― could not
be praised if they deserved it from the Communist point of view. Focused on the unrealistic idealism
of communism, which emphasized cooperation between communist countries in order to achieve
mutual advancement, Djilas did not understand that states, and therefore the leaders of those states,
were in a competition with one another. In realism, leaders must compete with each other to improve
their position at the international level. They push aside the cooperative nature of the Wilsonian era or
Communism and act on self interest in order to protect their states, national interests, and struggle for
power. This is the situation Djilas encountered when he went to Moscow to discuss Yugoslav
grievances with Stalin. This is the situation that sparked his doubts and subsequent disillusionment
with the Soviet Union and its leader, whom he regarded as the reincarnation of an idea, transfigured in
Communist minds into pure idea, and thereby into something infallible and

Disadvantages Of Applied Ethnomethodology
Methodology
Applied ethnomethodology is a neologism that originates from research based on ethnomethodology,
but adds an embodied interaction perspective. It is well known that ethnomethodology was coined by
Harold Garfinkel. According to Garfinkel s notes, ethnomethodology focuses on how social actors
create and understand the basis of their actions (Garfinkel, 1984). Ethnomethodology has been broadly
applied in HCI studies (Dourish and Button, 1998). An ethnographic approach helps in the
understanding of cultures and the meaning of technology in people s everyday lives. We can use the
understanding to design computer systems (Button, Crabtree, Rouncefield, and Tolmie, 2015). Applied
ethnomethodology still has the general attributes of ethnomethodology, but has two major distinctions.
Applied ethnomethodology relies more on inter conversation through interaction ... Show more

First, it allows the research to have an insider s view as a participant and also from an outsider s view
as an observer. It helps the researcher to observe and analyze more phenomena in depth and from
different angles.
Secondly, it allows the collection of ethnographic data by inserting the robot as a second body into the
existing group. In this case, the researcher did not need to be concerned about the establishment of
rapport and could collect ethnographic data that still excluded the possible artificial setups that could
induce specific behaviour by inserting a new participant.
Data is also collected through filming iterative work. Data collection is made through six times over
the course of two months. A group interview was conducted at the very end of the last session. The
reason why the observation was conducted over a long period of time and iteratively was to exclude
any exceptional phenomenon to prevent the hazard that the research would generalize any abnormal
case precipitously. It was also to observe repetition and holistic

Case Study Of The Dwelling Hotels And Suites
Opportunity Challenge High Annual Labour Turnover of 75% Call it manpower or labour employee
these are always considered to be backbone of any sector business or field, whether its corporate,
government ,private ,hospital etc. The word business means profit with less investment and to fulfil all
the needs of the customer. Profit and customer goes hand in hand, if the customer is unhappy then this
will badly effect the business and that might lead to loss and if the customer is happy then profit will
surely go up. But in achieving the needs and demands of the customer, most of the company forgets
about the backbone or the effort of the labour or employer who work as a mediator between customer
and the profit of any business. Most of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Now considering to this case study of Dwelling Hotels and Suites as we might reckon that some of the
reasons why the morale of the employees was low due to low pay scale and above all no appreciation
or incentives on their success. Many companies really care about the profit but businesses are run by
humans who are working inside the business. The amount of pain and hard work an employee puts to
achieve his or her goal should always be appreciated as that might not only increases the productivity
but also self confidence of employees in whole. Human nature varies drastically if he is motivated or
demotivated. If any employee is praised in front of his staff that might increase his self belief and
would try to give good results in future. At times this might create jealous among other employees.
But as we have mentioned before that it seems that Gemba Walk is missing in

  • 4. The Yellow Wallpaper Symbolism Essay Commonly overlooked in its significance, the garden in The Yellow Wallpaper successfully represents all elements of the main character s rebellious intentions. Generally, a garden features well trimmed vegetation, which is guarded by a fence or wall to keep away outside forces, whether it be humans or animals with intentions to harm the plants. In contrast, nature operates in a free flowing manner, with its greenery tangled in abundance and lacking any type of structure. On the surface, it may seem that the garden s kempt appearance is a blessing to the plants within, as they are saved from the uncertainties of natural life by being incubated in a specific space. The main character of The Yellow Wallpaper originally follows this notion ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The word choice the main character employs to describe the plants is particularly notable, as it implies a disobedient appearance in a garden that expects conformity in its essence. This oddly described foliage becomes the inanimate representation of the main character herself, who is also trying to rebel against a world passionate in its attempts to suppress and demean. The plants become riotous and gnarly to actively resist attempts to be subordinated by the garden, and the main character s observation of this conveys her desire to revolt, even though she cannot express her displeasure in a communicable language. The main character s envy of the plants makes this symbol even more powerful, as the greenery represents where she seeks to be: in a position where she can fight her oppressors by being openly nonconformist. Unfortunately for the main character, her rebellious behavior haves to be tucked away in the subconscious and in her own thoughts, as she is unable to voice legitimate concerns in a patriarchal ... • 5. Darwinism And Religion Gould Summary At the beginning of the essay Gould made a clear reference to a dear friend, Kirtley Mather, who was a pillar of both science and Christian religion in America (Gould, 1981). Comparatively, this appealed to the emotions of the reader, unlike most scholarly works Gould reminded the reader of his humanity. Often, Christians relate evolution as being the work of a devil, or some form of subhuman, out to misguide their faith; therefore, the reader assumed this was Gould s way of facilitating a viable connection with biased readers before undermining creationism. Darwinism is known as the theory of evolution, and creationists repeatedly utilize a mistaken vernacular of the word theory to denounce evolution. And humans evolved from apelike ancestors whether they did so by Darwin s proposed mechanism or by some other, yet to be discovered (Gould, 1981). In other words, Darwinism is a theory, but human genetics were, without a doubt, sown from the same seeds as apes, and even if another theory replaces Darwinism our ancestry will remain the ... All our lives, we have trained our eyes to see what is bad. From an early age, we have been training ourselves incorrectly. We get up and read the morning newspaper over breakfast, getting our minimum daily requirement of bad news. On the way to work, we stop by the newsstand and by the latest issue of a newspaper so we can find out what s wrong with the world. We have to retrain our eyes. The novel continues to open up people s minds and take us all back in time with its setting and lessons. The third book I d choose to save from the firemen is Jandy Nelson s I ll Give You the Sun. This novel revolves around fraternal twins Noah and Jude, who used to be basically inseparable. Now that they re getting older, they begin to drift apart. The reasons I d save this novel from the firemen are that it deals with very real things for teenagers and kids such as puberty, sexuality, deaths in the family, and divorce. It teaches readers that you should never be afraid of being who you truly are, that if things are tough right now then they will get better with time, and that your family will almost always be there for you when you re going through something. It focuses on the mannerisms of teenagers who are just being themselves, who are only human, and are still trying to find themselves. I feel that this novel would help teens grow and help find themselves and develop, just like Noah and Jude. The fourth book I d choose to save from the firemen is the book of Genesis from the Bible. Genesis speaks of beginnings, of the heavens and the earth, animals, humans, plants, family, society and civilizations, and of sin and redemption. The list really goes on and on. Envied by citizens of countries where self expression is a right of some and stricken from others, we uphold this concept with defensive pride. However, we must ask ourselves if this freedom can ever go too far. When does lenience turn into naivety? If speech is abused so freely that it enslaves the minds of another should it become a privilege, rather than a right? In his essay On Racist Speech , Charles R. Lawrence III argues for limitations on Freedom of Speech as described in the First Amendment to prevent only the most heinous racial remarks. Some citizens opposed a restriction on speech simply because they feel it is not a complete upholding of American law. However, we must decide whether the restriction of free speech for protection is entirely acceptable or not at all because responses are often inherently hypocritical. While opposition will often argue that racial comments cause no harm and are a right of the First Amendment, the same people may argue for restrictions of free speech in other circumstances. It is likely that the majority of people oppose allowing pedophiles the right to express their sexual feelings to a child over the internet, which is already a legally enforced restriction on freedom of speech. Although there may be no physical contact between the child and the pedophile, it is important to parents that their children are protected from the possibility of such a threat as well as any emotional distress caused by inappropriate comments. Further examples are found in government views on sexism in the workplace. As a result, only common corporate services and several purchase savings will enjoy any arising synergies. 2.1 Burger King First, Burger King will experience an increase in revenue after taking over Tim Hortons (Kirby, 2014). The increase of revenue is due to the improved menu resources. However, menu resources will not help Burger King outdo its current competitors like McDonalds. While children suffer similarly from pain as adults do, there are different factors to take into account. Children might suffer from a heightened sense of fear and anxiety as compared to adults3 and as such, the age old concept of forced restraint is no longer acceptable and may even compound the child s fear in hospitals and needles throughout life1,4. While distraction techniques, play therapy and mild analgesia might be sufficient in producing a cooperative and relaxed child4,5, for severe pain, this is not an option and general anaesthesia or sedation is often used instead1,6,7. Whilst Y site administration is commonly used in hospitals, there are limitations to it. For instance, once a drug has been administered intravenously, it cannot be reversed11. The Wonderful Workforce Separation in the workforce between male and female jobs creates a setting of inequality and instability in the work force, which limits certain career paths citizens should pursue and promotes an idea of inequality in employment opportunities. In tradition, the man is the breadwinner of the family; while this has changed, men still dominate many career paths. Once upon a time, only men were allowed to play sports in high school. This had drastically changed, due to Title IX, a law that provided opportunities to different career paths ( Mythbusting ). But, on a professional sport level, women are not seen playing in the NFL or the NBA. Women have their own leagues, like the Women s Basketball Association. There are blended sports, but, for the most part, men and women are separate. The main argument is that women are not as physically able as men and therefore, they should not compete with men. People see this separation as fair; but, this gender separation will lead to men controlling the sports world (Faulmueller 1 2). However, the amount of women in professional coaching careers is diminutive. A mere two to three percent of male teams are coached by females and in women s sports, the amount of female coaches has plummeted forty two percent; female coaches already earn less than their counterparts and many are now struggling to find new careers (Waldron 2. Out of those unsafe abortions there have been about 8,500,000 mothers needed to have medical attention because they were either depressed, or very injured. 47,000 mothers have died in those abortions. To me that is just very depressing and sad. They say the babies can t feel anything. That s where they are very wrong. Those who break the law by entering the U.S. illegally do not have the same rights as those who obey the law and enter legally. The borders should be secured before addressing the problem of the illegal immigrants currently in our country. The Federal Government should enforce current immigration law to ensure not only our safety, but the illegal activity taking place in our country today. There are other good alternatives to welfare. Private charities can successfully serve the poor. Arnold Kling quotes, Those organizations that work directly with poor people stand a better chance of learning how to meet their needs (Bily, 2009, p 71). He believes charitable organizations are more flexible, accountable, and efficient. The poor would be better served by a new tax policy directing more money to private charities and less to the federal and state government. The role of charitable organizations is better than the government as a source of aid. It is easier for donors or volunteers to hold charitable organizations accountable than it is for taxpayers to hold government accountable. Failed government programs can go on forever, but an unsuccessful charity has a more difficult time obtaining adequate funding. In 2005, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

He was hoping his new design would cut the soil better and it did (1). His invention sold so fast he could not keep up with the demand. He knew he needed to expand, so he moved his business to a new location in Moline, Illinois where he had more room and access to water to power his equipment. In 1843 John Deere ordered a shipment of steel from England because it was less expensive. However, it was still an enormous cost and prevented him from continuing to expand his new operation in Moline (Deere Company 1). Three years later he was able to get his steel made in ... People might chuckle when they hear that the first time, but what it actually means is try to make the best of the worst situation. This is very important for people to remember in society today, especially since many people go through rough times and just mourn over their situation instead of staying positive. Also some people don t recognize how grateful they should be for the things they have. This proverb can be seen in Martin Luther King, Jr., Helen Keller, the recovery and volunteers who contributed in the Joplin tornado, and even in a poem by Tirzah Conway, called Making the Best of a Bad Situation. The game of golf is riddled with physics concepts governing everything from the power generated in the swing, to every impact with the ball, to even the motion of the ball in the air and on the ground. Everything is governed by and can be explained by physics concepts. However, this paper will focus on the impact of the clubface and the ball (governed by Newtonian physics) and then its subsequent flight in the air as a projectile. We will look at both the first and second laws that Isaac Newton proposed as well as the resulting equations and concepts that come into effect when the ball is launched. The paper will conclude with a brief aside on the history surrounding the golf ball and its evolution, and subsequently why (in terms of physics) the golf ball embodies a very unique and well known physical form. The security guards blindfolded the teenagers and they put them in handcuffs. The security guards then took the teenagers on a bus. The teenagers had a long journey. But eventually, they arrived to an unknown location. Even though the teenagers had their blindfolds on, they knew that they have entered a building. Eventually, somebody took off the teenagers blindfolds and their handcuffs. They were in a cell with no windows nor beds. But there were benches to sit on, a toilet, a sink, and carpet on the floor. Welcome to prison, Skienski said. The purpose of our refugee camps is to help you become citizens of our country. By trying to break out, you are breaking your refugee status. Having successfully launched a new Internet service and brand, the vision of Netflix was to offer both personalized and standard content through broadband or physical medium, and to evolve from movies to music and then to syndicate text content. This strategy leveraged the value proposition of convenience and selection with the natural extension from film to music and then books as entertainment. Mail order catalog systems would be difficult for movies, but using the Internet let people both order and pay online(Carmia, 2002). Likewise, customization and personalization allowed Netflix users to save lists of preferred movies. As they became available, those films were delivered based on priority. Also, creating partnerships with other company s was a key strategic focus for Netflix. It was clear that paying upfront and buying movies at market cost would tie up both cash and inventory. • 43. Frida Kahlo Vs Jacques Derrida It can be argued that Frida Kahlo is a painter that challenged the ideas pertaining to gender, race, and sexuality. She is known for questioning the essence of these identities. Kahlo famously painted depictions which show her questioning and exploring her own identity. When looking at her whole body of work, it is apparent that Kahlo was interested in gender and racial constructs. Frida Kahlo s painting, Diego and Frida, 1929 1944 is one visual example of how Frida Kahlo was an artist that challenged ideas surrounding gender, race, and sexuality. This painting can be seen through the lens of deconstruction to offer a deeper insight into its meaning. Vernon Minor and Jacques Derrida are art theorists that have also speculated about deconstruction. These two both made an argument that deconstruction is made stronger when direct opposites are used. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Deconstruction at its core is an act that ask questions for the sake of asking questions. This is so because deconstruction is not about reaching a conclusion. Rather, deconstruction seeks to expand questioning in order to expand perception. Jacques Derrida points out, that there is no such thing as true deconstruction. Derrida states that every decoding is another encoding It is important to note that in so saying this, Derrida has fundamentally defining a key characteristic of decoding. There is no way to truly decode as there is always a naturally occurring need to seek to define what has been decoded. This, however, is not the goal of decoding. The true aim of decoding is to continually ask questions in order to raise new questions thus, new understanding. Diego and Frida 1929 1944 contains specific points of reference within the painting that allude to decoding. In particular, Frida Kahlo uses binary opposites as imagery in this ... Dupas had an extensive history of violence against women from the murders of Ms Halvagis, Margaret Maher in 1997, and Nicole Patterson in 1999 . An inquest into the death of Ms Downes however was brought about by his cellmate, disgraced lawyer Andrew Fraser who was arrested on drug trafficking charges. He told the court that he had heard confessions by Mr Dupas about the nature of his killings and revealing that he lived in Pascoe Vale; near the Brunswick lodge. Injuries sustained by Dupas victims were identical with the ones of Ms Downes. Mr Fraser also believed that Dupas was sociopathic and did not relate well to others . • 45. Milovan Djilas Conversation With Stalin Milovan Djilas, a prominent leader of the Yugoslav Partisan movement during World War II and the Vice President of Yugoslavia under Josip Tito, was the epitome of an idealist. When the 1930s drew to an end and the idealism that emerged after World War I dwindled, the states adopted a more realist perspective; they began acknowledging the importance of power in politics and the international system. However, Milovan Djilas clung onto idealism. He rested his faith on the unrealistic expectation of just interactions between states and the belief that the Soviet Union was primarily driven by the goal of advancing the collective interests of the communist states. He conceded that for all Yugoslav Communist leaders, Stalin was the indisputable head of communism, but he was puzzled as to why other communist leaders― in this case, Tito― could not be praised if they deserved it from the Communist point of view. Focused on the unrealistic idealism of communism, which emphasized cooperation between communist countries in order to achieve mutual advancement, Djilas did not understand that states, and therefore the leaders of those states, were in a competition with one another. In realism, leaders must compete with each other to improve their position at the international level. They push aside the cooperative nature of the Wilsonian era or Communism and act on self interest in order to protect their states, national interests, and struggle for power. This is the situation Djilas encountered when he went to Moscow to discuss Yugoslav grievances with Stalin. This is the situation that sparked his doubts and subsequent disillusionment with the Soviet Union and its leader, whom he regarded as the reincarnation of an idea, transfigured in Communist minds into pure idea, and thereby into something infallible and ... • 46. Disadvantages Of Applied Ethnomethodology Methodology Applied ethnomethodology is a neologism that originates from research based on ethnomethodology, but adds an embodied interaction perspective. It is well known that ethnomethodology was coined by Harold Garfinkel. According to Garfinkel s notes, ethnomethodology focuses on how social actors create and understand the basis of their actions (Garfinkel, 1984). Ethnomethodology has been broadly applied in HCI studies (Dourish and Button, 1998). An ethnographic approach helps in the understanding of cultures and the meaning of technology in people s everyday lives. We can use the understanding to design computer systems (Button, Crabtree, Rouncefield, and Tolmie, 2015). Applied ethnomethodology still has the general attributes of ethnomethodology, but has two major distinctions. Applied ethnomethodology relies more on inter conversation through interaction ...
