explosion took the lives of everyone over the age of fourteen. In Gone, Michael Grant uses cultural,
physical, and geographical surroundings to shape the psychological and moral traits of his characters
as they try to save the small town of Perdido Beach, California.
In his novel, Grant uses culture to shape the moral traits of Sam and Drake. As Sam, Astrid, Little
Pete, Lana, Quinn, and Edilio trekked through the woods, Drake and Caine followed them in a SUV.
Drake climbs out of the vehicle and pulls a gun to Astrid s head, but quickly decides to go after Sam,
instead. Drake strikes Sam on the head with the gun and knocks him to the ground. As Sam is lying

The merging of the customer data from sales and the call center interactions has created the more
informed interactions with the customer (Petersen, 2004). The concept rang with the user
organizations and mergers and acquisitions created a host of software that the vendors claimed to have
an integrated set of capabilities that became known as customer relationship management (Petersen,
