Best Essay Website
Crafting an essay on the subject of the "Best Essay Website" presents a unique set of challenges
that extend beyond the typical essay-writing process. The difficulty lies in navigating a vast
landscape of online platforms, each claiming to be the epitome of excellence in essay writing
services. The abundance of options makes it challenging to discern genuine reviews from
marketing gimmicks, adding a layer of complexity to the research process.
To begin with, one must delve into the diverse criteria that define a "best" essay website. Factors
such as quality of writing, reliability, pricing, customer support, and adherence to deadlines all
play pivotal roles in determining the overall effectiveness of these platforms. Ascertaining the
credibility of user reviews further complicates the task, given the potential for both genuine
testimonials and strategically placed endorsements by the services themselves.
Moreover, the evolving nature of the online landscape demands a constant reassessment of
available options. Websites that were once considered exemplary might undergo changes in
management, policies, or service quality, rendering previously conducted research obsolete.
Staying abreast of the latest developments in the realm of essay writing services becomes
essential, adding an ongoing commitment to the already intricate process.
The potential ethical concerns surrounding the use of essay writing services add another layer of
complexity to the task. Balancing the convenience of outsourcing essay writing against the
principles of academic integrity requires a nuanced exploration of the topic. This ethical dilemma
necessitates an introspective examination of one's values and the academic implications of
utilizing external assistance.
In conclusion, crafting an essay on the topic of the "Best Essay Website" involves navigating a
multifaceted landscape of considerations. From evaluating the diverse criteria that define
excellence to grappling with the ethical implications of outsourcing academic work, the process
demands a comprehensive and nuanced approach. While the journey may be challenging, it is
essential for those seeking reliable essay writing services. For those who prefer to streamline this
process, similar essays and much more can be ordered on HelpWriting.net.

Santa Fe Trail Research Paper
Prior to 1821, the land beyond Missouri was an uncharted region known only to
buffalo and displaced Native Americans. When Mexicans won independence from
Spain in 1821, they encouraged trade with the United States via New Mexico. Lack
of water and hostile Native Americans made the trip dangerous, but William
Becknell, Father of the Santa Fe Trail, left Missouri that year to arrive in Santa Fe a
month and a half later. After a large profit, Becknell continued to make trips, blazing
the path that became known as the Santa Fe Trail. Soon, traders, visitors, and the
military would regularly travel the route. Two paths developed on the Sante Fe trail,
splitting at Fort Larned, KS after following the same path from Missouri to the

E books has a long way to go?
Since the turn of the century, computers have become more portable, and
technology has made many aspects of life more portable. Even books have been
become more mobile in recent years with the popularization of e books available
online and e readers that allow a person to carry a virtual library anywhere. With all
the changes, there are some advantages and disadvantages brought by e books. Is it
feasible that it will disappear one day as its disadvantages outweigh its advantages?
Advantages

Readers can be more easily accessible to the relevant information
Another significant advantage with e Book comes when the reader, student or
business associate wants to capture key tips and phrases. With the digital format, the
reader can underline and highlight as much as is necessary without making
permanent changes to the pages. But there is more! With an e Book the user can
search and reference specific information using hyperlinks. The reader has immediate
access to the sources used!
Disadvantages:
1.Eye strain When reading on paper, light reflects off the page and into your eyes
naturally, however, with computer screens, the device projects light into your eyes,
causing headaches and possible long term damage to your eyesight. And while the
LED projections used by e readers dampen eye strain, it still has an overall negative
effect.
2. Information loss
E books are just another file on a hard drive, and they often depend on the Internet
to transfer from one location to another. A virus may invade your computer or you
might accidentally damage your e readers or hard drive. Without a backup of your
files, you could lose your entire book collection in one fell swoop. Moreover, third
parties can monitor or even hack your files.
3. Piracy
As with other media that has moved to digital distribution, e books are often pirated.

Popular Music of The Last 100 years (20th and 21st Centuries)
Have you ever wondered who were the most popular artists in the past 100 years?
From the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s in addition to the 2000s each decade birthed many
talented artists whose music has lived on and will live on many years after their
time. I have checked the billboard top 100 singles charts of each decade and chose
artists who I think best represent the most popular music of each respective era. Join

My Career Choices Within The Nutrition Field Essay
During this semester in the Introduction to Human Science class we have done
several career exploration papers within our degree field and to explore the careers
within the human sciences. The discussion of this paper will include three values that
I find important, three career choices within the nutritionfield, and three long term
goals. I will also discuss how I will reach my long term goals and how my career
choices and values tie into one another.
According to Kato Elias (2015), Personal values create beliefs, actions, and
behaviors that are important in your personal life (p. 259). Personal values are also
influenced by life experiences and family. Just as a person has a set of personal
values, one might have a set of work values. My personal values can also apply to
work values. Throughout my life, I have valued health, respect and harmony, and
unity. I value health; without health you cannot move forward in either your
personal or work life. I value respect and harmony. I feel you should treat others the
way you would like to be treated. There should always be a balance in place when
people interact. Respect and harmony are values that apply in my personal life and
in my work life because they make interaction between people more pleasant and
less stressful. I value unity because it shows cohesiveness in a group. Unity shows
support and the ability to get along. Unity is important in my personal life and work
life because you are supported.

technology is continuing to advance and a faster and faster rate. As technology
advances there continues to be more of an opportunity for things to go wrong. The
ability of our society to obtain information has been becoming as easy as it has
ever been. I simple line into the google search bar and you are looking at millions
upon millions of lings and opportunities to attain information. With this source and
hundreds or even thousands of these resources just like it, piracy and copyright

Hard goods pirates also use the Internet to sell illegally duplicated DVDs through
auctions and websites. While trafficking copyrighted works through increasingly
sophisticated electronic means, such as peer to peer file trading networks, Internet
chat rooms, and newsgroups, has an ever increasing negative impact on cultural
industries, it is also argued that curtailing this phenomenon limits the right of access
to information, knowledge and culture (4). The problem in trying to prevent digital
copyright infringement is tied up in the problem of regulating the Internet an
almost impossible feat, considering the World Wide Web today comprises more
than 100 million individual Web sites. Regulators have been severely tried in recent
years with the rise of peer to peer networks, with the most infamous being Napster.
The brainchild of a 19 year old college student, Napster launched in 1999 and
revolutionized the way music sharing was conducted online. However, with such a
quick rise to success comes the inevitable problems; in this case, the problems arose
in the form of the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and copyright
lawsuits. While users of Napster saw nothing wrong with sharing music, the RIAA,
which represents the four major music labels, saw the situation quite differently. By
late 2000, the courts had ruled that Napster must restrict access to copyrighted
The Production Of Production Activities
Production Activities This section is an overview of the demands and tests
associated with the integrity of well during production from and injection to a
reservoir. The process begins after the well construction/well intervention
organization has handed the well over to the production organization and concludes
with a handover back to drilling and well organization for intervention, work over or
abandonment. Well integrity during this phase is used to keep hydrocarbons from
the pay zone inside the well and by protecting it from leaking off to contaminating
groundwater for environmental purposes. Well barriers are an envelope of one or
several dependent barrier elements preventing fluids or gases from flowing
unintentionally from the formation to the surface and are designed and used to
prevent leakages and reduce the risk associated with drilling, production and
intervention activities. The main functions of a well barrier are to prevent any major
hydrocarbon leakage(s) from the well to the external environment during normal
production or well operations and to shut in the well on direct command during an
emergency shutdown situation and thereby prevent hydrocarbons from flowing from
the well out. During production, a perfectly reliable well barrier element(s) is
paramount to containing the hydrocarbons inside the well. Well barrier elements are
several objects that prevent formation fluids from flowing inside the well. They could
be anything from packers or tubing or
A Case About A Female Jogger
Summary In the article, it first talks about a case about a female jogger who was
raped, horrendously beaten, and left abandoned in the park. The female jogger
survived, but lost her memory regarding the event. Police found five boys who were
apparently being wild in the park. They were convicted of the crime, even though
there was no physical evidence of them committing the crime. Four of the boys were
videotaped for the interrogation. All of them confessed to committing the crime in
shocking detail and were sentenced to prison. Thirteen years later, a man named
Matias Reyes admitted that he was the one who raped and beat up the female jogger.
The case was reopened and DNA testing proved that the semen samples on the victim

Eyewitness psychologists play a vital role in identifying the mistakes of eyewitnesses
and trying to diminish the error. To continue, before a police investigator does a
highly confrontational interrogation, they have to do an evaluation of the suspect to
determine if they are innocent or guilty. They do that by performing an information
gathering interview. At times, determining if a suspect is guilty or innocent, police
investigators have interviews with witnesses, and informants. They also get it from
evidence. Additionally, it is sometimes from crime related profiles about possible
culprits and their intentions. In addition, police investigators use the Reid technique.
The Reid technique involves using verbal cues, body language, and the person s
behavioral attitudes to determine if they are not telling the truth. Furthermore, the
techniques the police investigators use may not be 100% in determining deception
in a person. For example, in the case of Tom Sawyer, he was accused of murder and
sexual assault. The police investigators interrogated him for 16 hours and they got a
confession out of him. The reason he was the main suspect in the case was because
his face was red and he seemed to be embarrassed while doing the interview, which
were signs of deception. Little did the investigators know Tom Sawyer was a
recovering alcoholic who also had social anxiety disorder. Which was the reason he
was sweating uncontrollably and getting
Raising Bilingual Children Essay
Here are the most persistent myths on raising bilingual children:
Your child will be confused by learning more than one language.
This belief is prevalent in monolingual countries and has far more politics than
science to back it up. Rest assured that your child s little brain has more than enough
neurons firing to cope with two languages (or even more) without frizzing out. On the
contrary, decades of research in countless studies actually show significant cognitive
advantages to being multilingual. And what about the experience of millions of
families around the world where multilingualism is the norm, not the exception? Just
look at Canada, Belgium, Switzerland, and Finland to mention a few.
I can see two languages, maybe, but more ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some kids can t even handle that in one language.
It s true that many children have difficulties reading and writing well. However,
reading and writing is a coding / decoding process and is not linked to the number of
languages a child speaks, as such although it could involve multiple alphabets, and
then be a bit more work. Interestingly enough, access to multiple languages actually
makes it easier for children to understand the nature of language itself, which, in turn,
improves overall literacy skills. Research supports what many parents have long felt:
that multilingual children have better developed linguistic understanding.

Essay on The Island Of Dr. Moreau
In 1896 H. G. Wells had the first edition of The Island of Dr. Moreau ; published.
The book took place primarily on an island in the Pacific Ocean. On this island Dr.
Moreau and his assistant ( Montgomery) performed dangerous, secret experiments on
humans and animals. When Wells wrote this he knew nothing about DNA, cloning,
or chromosomes but he did use his scientific imagination. Wells realized that society
was beginning to rely on sciencetoo much in the late nineteenth century. He wrote this
book to issue a stern warning for future societies against their own scientific
advancements. He knew that just like his society others will want to quench their
appetite for this tasty treat called vivisection or cloning. He knew that... Show more

It has created a whole new atmosphere in which to read this book one in such Wells
predicted by writing this book. Wells would be disappointed at our disregard of his
warning.
Another important theme that Wells tried to convey to us was that doing
experiments on humans and animals were unethical. He at first tells us of the
locked room where these animals and humans were being operated. He shows that
they wanted to keep it a secret until they could trust their scientific advancements
in the hands of the public. It is just like today because when you find a new
formula or anything you have to keep it a secret before others find out. When
others find out they will and can take their ideas and experiments and I think that is
why Dr. Moreau secluded himself from the public. Dr. Moreau also knew that
people would not approve of his scientific studies especially in the late nineteenth
century. Wells was trying to show us that Moreau was just a scientist not a mean
psychotic out of control person. He wanted what every scientist wanted and that was
success but he took it a little past what his culture viewed as normal. If Moreau had
executed his experiments in the light of his peers in the science world he would have
been persecuted. Wells tried to let this doctor run free with his experiments but found
The Conservation Of The Environmental Movement
I decided to take action for the environmental movement because it is a big issue that
impacts everyone. At first, my intent was to volunteer for an organization called
Fresh Roots , but due to a scheduling conflict, I chose UBC Farm, which is no less
essential in its impact in Vancouver s sustainability. In theory, the environmental
movement has succeeded in many of its basic goals, such as bringing attention to
local and global problems, educating the public on simple sustainable actions, and
starting an international conversation. Nevertheless, there are many issues
concerning the climate and living species that have not been resolved yet.
The UBC Farm houses The Centre for Sustainable Food Systems (CSFS), which
aims to change global and local food systems to be more Eco friendly and food
secure. They try to find new ways to solve challenges that the sustainability of food
systems face, and thus enhance community, personal and environmental health. Their
group s mission is to create a healthy environment through interdisciplinary
collaboration, innovative research, and educational engagement with the
community. The centre also strives to increase land productivity, and advance
ecosystem services; starting from supply (habitat, fuel, food, etc.) all the way to the
end product (greenhouse gas, waste). This weekend, I was able to be a part of this
network when I volunteered at one of their fares (the UBC Farm s Apple Festival).
The volunteers were assigned to do a

Industrial Areas From Centralization And Neoliberal...
With the start of globalization and international expansion cities became a more
significant part for various industry sectors. By 2000, more than 500 cities had
more than one million inhabitants. According to the United Nations, 54% of the
world s population currently live in urban areas. Urbanization combined with the
overall growth of the world s population could add another 2.5 billion people to
urban populations by 2050, with close to 90 percent of the increase concentrated in
Asia and Africa. This significant change of urbanization will lead to challenges in
satisfying the needs for housing, infrastructure, transportation, energy supply and
employment, as well as for basic services such as education and health care . This
report will critically discuss three key elements in relation to urbanisation: political
economy, economic growth in urban areas and urban sociology. With this
discussion, I will argue that the shift in urban areas from centralization and
neoliberal globalisation had effected society in different parts of the world
differently. Since this essay is only looking at three main aspects, this is not a
complete discussion of the matter, but it is intended to provide an insight in the
main aspects of economic development in urban areas. POLITICAL URBAN
DEVELOPMENT The study of urban politics is the study what occurs on the
ground, among people who share the same space for day to day living. This makes
the study of urban politics particularly challenging

Too Expensive
The nutrient control method is too expensive. A lab test costs between $100 and
$3000 for one Soldier (Walk In Lab, n.d.). The cost of a nutrient diet plan is for an
adult monthly $240.10 (USDA, 2017). Calculating this cost together for a 400,000

It is a Soldier s responsibility as well as of their leaders to ensure that everyone in

Law Enforcement Imagine if there was no type of law enforcement code for a
month in your city. Crime rates will be at an all time high. People would have no
sort of protection or stability. There would also be no one to control the people; no
one will ensure peace amongst the people. Thanks to our police officers all of these
possible dangerous situations are kept under control on a daily basis. Police officers
put their lives on the line each day to ensure peace and protection to the public.
Law enforcement has been around for centuries, providing aid and assisting the
people. Communities first developed watch systems composed of volunteers
whose primary duty was to warn people of impending danger. ( The History of
Policing ) The law enforcement program in the United States closely followed that
of England at the time. Law enforcement in the United States began on April 1631
in Boston: Boston created a night watch in 1636, New York in 1658 and
Philadelphia in 1700. The night watch was not a particularly effective crime control
device. Watchmen often slept or drank on duty. While the watch was theoretically
voluntary, many volunteers were simply attempting to evade military service, were
conscript forced into service by their town, or were performing watch duties as a
form of punishment. ( The History of Policing )
The program consisted of both appointed officers and volunteers. The tasks of these

Similarities And Differences Between The Flintstones And...
The Flintstones vs The Simpsons Every media text goes through the process of
construction and reflects culture, social values and issues, generalised views,
attitudes, and beliefs concerning the period of construction. No matter what time and
place become the preset of the story, TV shows portray the modern state of society.
The Flintstonesand The Simpsonsseries are two animated stories about families and
the community they live in. Two main characteristics of the shows that allow the
audience to reveal the depth of the messages in both shows are animation and family.
The first point lets the directors turn into reality the wildest twists of the plot aimed at
highlighting the issues. The latter exemplifies the unit of society where social issues
become a daily experience. Obviously, the difference in the time of production
distinguishes fundamental differences of lifestyles and problems depicted in every
show. The comparative analyses will demonstrate The Simpsons (launched in 1989)

A Clockwork Orange Nadsat Essay
Essay
Introduction
In order to throughly understand how and why the fictional language nadsat is used
in the novel A Clockwork Orange the term nadsat should be clearly defined. Anthony
Burgess uses nadsat as a term for the teenage subculture described in the novella as
well as an abbreviated form of nadsat language which is used by this very subculture.
As the fictional language is fairly dynamic, that is changing constantly through each
generation, and received as slang by the people of the novella, nadsat language does
not have an officially accepted name. Thus, the fictional is mostly referred as nadsat.
It is seen only used by this specific subculture marking the distinction between the
teenagers and adults, whom only use simple English. Upon first glance, the most
discernible aspect of Anthony Burgess s novella A Clockwork Orangeis the extensive
use of fabricated vocabulary forming a language called nadsat as the narrative ...

The novella glorifies free will of the individual by exploring dilemmas such as ethical
implications of brainwashing potential threats to public wellbeing in expense of their
ability to make choices. At the same time, it criticises extreme political systems such
as totalitarian or fascist ones based on ideals irreconcilable to human nature that are
decided and forced on by the state for common welfare. Congruently, the fictional
language, nadsat, by itself is a collective representation of the rebellious youth against
compliance to the governing mechanism. The existence of a separate language
disaffiliates the nadsat subculture from the state, characterised by its adult members
who use simple English, presenting the nadsat as a somewhat anarchist

To What Extent is CSR Beneficial to a Company s Performance?
Corporate social responsibility (CSR), which is a popular debate topic over decades,
has divided into five major dimensions over time. They are known as the stakeholder
dimension, the social dimension, the economic dimension, the voluntariness
dimension and the environmental dimension in research (Dahlsrud, 2008). The
relationship between CSR and company s performance, which is classified as the
stakeholder dimension, aroused a controversial discussion among different research
studies. Some research reported positive relationship in CSR and company s
performance (Mirvis, 2012), some research found negative results (Karnani, 2010),
while there are also other research view CSR as ... Show more content on

In this way, those impact brought by those omitted aspects would be included in the
CSR s relationship with company s performance by mistake.
Despite the influence of omitted factors, CSR neither benefit nor harm company s
performance. For those cases reported positive relationship above, they are very
likely to be the result of a good marketing strategy and aggressive advertisement (for
restaurant and airlines), successful management (for employees willingness to work
in a responsible company), an efficient R amp;D and politic strategies (for DuPont
s case), etc. However, research reaching a negative relationship can also be blamed
to other stuffs related to CSR, rather than CSR itself. For example, the agency
problem appears when there s a conflict between company s goal and the agent s
personal goal, not only in CSR; and the profit issue is just a matter of choice. Thus,
while measuring CSR s influence on company s performance, we should first identify
or select the dimensions of corporate social responsibility (Ruf, 1998, as cited in
Foote, Gaffney, amp;Evans, 2010). Nothing can we truly measure before a clear
identification. After a clear identification, we will be able to figure out whether it is
the impact brought by CSR, and therefore eliminate the interference from R amp;D,
advertising, or political efforts, etc.

Modern Day Child Labour While we, as Americans, are currently living in the most
advanced civilization up to this time, we tend to disregard problems of exploitation
and injustice to nations of lesser caliber. Luckily, we don t have to worry about the

countless hours. We, in the United States, would never tolerate such conditions. For
us, child labor is a practice that climaxed and phased away during and then after the

began to recognize his or her role in this vicious cycle. Because of the globalization
of the market place, we, as consumers, have become passive collaborators in this
widespread exploitation of hapless children (8). Clearly, the issue of child labor
extends to an international responsibility, which is difficult to overlook.
Through the occasional television expose and informative columns, our attention has

this footage, girls and boys were revealed working far into the night making clothes

NBC uncovered how Bangladesh s booming garment industry employs underage
children, mostly girls, by tens and thousands. When interviewed, the children said

Fundamentally, point of view and the gaze provide an early establishment of Plato s
В‘rebellious character as an emerging homosexual.
The framing of this particular scene also manages to accentuate Plato s sexual
insecurities, which could have contributed to his failure to peacefully cope
amongst his peers. The sole picture that Plato has hung in his locker and that the
frame is centered upon is one that could most likely be perceived to be taken of his
estranged father. In a fairly indirect manner, Plato is making a bold cry for help for
guidance and parenting. In doing so, understanding is made clearer in regards to his
character s uncertainty. Consequently, his identity issues become evident to be a
matter of his lacking guidance. As Plato suffers from parental attachment, he is
unsure of who his parents are as people, while he is also uncertain of who his friends
are and ultimately who he is. In essence, the framing of Plato s locker picture conveys
his overwhelming anxiety and his uncertainty in own sexuality.
From a psychological perspective, Plato s notion of friendship and personal identity
also links with his apparent civil and sexual insecurities. In understanding that the
picture in Plato s locker suggests his lack of a definitive father figure, it may be
assumed that he is unaware of the basic societal conventions with which he is

several costly mistakes that changed their perception of their business ideas. When
Disney decides to build a new location they must take every factor into
consideration. Even when they believe they have covered all the bases, in reality
there is no way to be completely sure in how things will turn out in the future. One
example is EuroDisney and their poor performance. Disney initially believed they
built a true masterpiece. They believed the new location would be just like the
Tokyo park; which was a rare example. Furthermore, Disney was over optimistic in
how successful their locations could be compared to Tokyo. However, they were
sadly mistakenin reality. Their creation of EuroDisney was a huge flop, contrary to
the extensive research they left out key factors that destroyed their success. They
disregarded key factors such as competition, cultural differences and environment;
these factors were key to their failure. If Disney would have came in with a different
mindset, these factors would have been taken into consideration. As a result, there
would have been gigantic changes in their marketing strategy. Furthermore there were

What Are The Changes Of The Market Revolution Dbq
The market revolution was a relatively rough time for American settlers. Life was
pretty hard because of the quick, drastic changes that were taking place, but these
changes also resulted in a very good factor of America that still stands today serving
every citizen, transportation. So while the market revolution was stressing the
Americans, there was a large book in population, and the increase of transportation,
which would cut travel times by whole days at a time. The changes of the market

Plantation towns also experienced a large growth in population (Doc. 3), not only in
the number of slaves, but also the number of whites moving to make their livings
through farming supplies for the mills. Plantations now began to grow in size to meet
the demand for their products (Doc. 2). This increase in population, and immigrants,
benefitted the economy and it also brought new opinions and beliefs into the country.
The increase in immigrants may not have sounded too great, but it later helped out
the country by diversifying the populations and making America the melting pot it is
today. The drastic nature of the market revolution was a direct result of the beginning
of change in the transportation system brought up by the internal improvements
which were put in place to better the condition of America. This change in
transportation increased the number of rail roads, roads, canals, and steam boats

the NEA has a disagreement against school vouchers, it is up to the citizens now to

more resources for more of an education? The question will unveil itself, and
hopefully in the future public schools will come with higher levels as a private
Argumentative Essay On Legalizing Marijuana
Legalizing marijuana is a topic of interest in news outlets and people throughout
the United States. The debate revolves around a multitude of ideas, beliefs, and
facts associated with marijuana. Whether or not it will become completely
legalized in every state stays a mystery, but as of right now eight states and the
District of Columbia have passed laws allowing for the personal possession and
consumption of marijuana for adults. There are also twenty nine states and the
District of Columbia that have a medical marijuana law in place. Many people are
strongly opinionated when it comes to this topic, some think that marijuana should
be completely banned and illegal; while others feel that it should be completely
legal. Then there are the people who see both sides of the argument and don t know
what side they prefer. Although there are negative side effects of legalizing
marijuana like, an increase in upper respiratory diseases among users, addiction, and
teen exposure. The positive aspects of marijuana outweigh the negatives and
marijuana should be legal to help aid in the medical field, United Stateseconomy, and
to better ensure the safety of our society. Smoking marijuana can be very dangerous
considering there are hundreds of chemical substances, many of which have not been
investigated (Gardenier et al. 116). The hundreds of chemicals that have not been
investigated are at a high risk of being dangerous and even deadly, but that is not
going to stop the population

Barbell Back Exercise
When working on building the body people often neglect the legs. It is all too
common to focus on the upper body and be left with underdeveloped leg muscles.
The result is a body imbalance with an unappealing appearance. For this reason you
need a workout plan to build the calves, hamstrings and quads. Before you begin,
select the weights that you will start with. In this particular plan you are going to
need a starting weight for the leg curl machine, leg press machine and barbell. For
the leg curl machine initially go with 45 or 50 lbs. This weight is going to be hard
at first but as you progress this number will increase. As for the leg press determining
your starting weight is super simple. For men start at 2.5 times your body weight and

In Vitro Fertilization In Jewish Law
More analyses of AID within the context of Jewish law show that the greatest anxiety
concerning AID is the possibility of inadvertent incest. Since the resulting child
would not know their biological father, it might unwittingly couple with a half
sibling. This would be especially problematic within more close knit communities.
Thus, for many this concern largely overshadows the concerns about adultery. As R.
Moses Feinstein states: that is the sole concern...the procedure neither entails adultery
nor produces a mamzer, both of which require actual intercourse. Although there are
were some strong dissention to this ruling, it is key to note that attitudes towards
reproductive technology can be used as a gage to assess attitudes towards... Show

Since contemporary Jewish communities view infertility as a medical condition,
infertility is viewed as something that is permissible to alter via reproductive
technology. R. Michael Gold notes that the typical Jewish position on medicine has
always been non fatalist That is, Judaism does not teach that everything must be
accepted as God s will. In substantiating this claim with respect to reproductive
technology, he draws upon the stories of the matriarchs. He asserts that throughout
the narratives of Sarah, Racheal, and Hannah, barrenness was viewed as a great loss.
However, he shows that not one biblical matriarch passively accepted her infertility.
When viewed from this perspective, IVF then becomes a way to exercise female
agency and empowerment by reclaiming reproductive
Blood Heart Disease
The heart is a muscular organ that pumps blood to continuously throughout your
body. The heart is the center of the circulatory system. This system has blood
vessels, such as arteries, veins, and capillaries. The blood vessels carry blood to and
from all areas of the body. An electrical system regulates your heartand uses electrical
signals to contact the walls of the heart. When the heart walls contract, bloodpumps
into the circulatory system. The heart chambers work to ensure that blood flows in
the right direction. The heart is vital to your health and everything that goes on in
your body. Without the pumping action, blood cannot circulate within the body. The
blood carries oxygen and nutrients that your organs need to work properly. Blood...

A lack of physical activity can worsen other heart disease risk factors such as high

the most important things to do to have a healthy heart. An unhealthy diet can
raise your risk for heart disease. Food high in saturated, trans fat, and cholesterol

It can trigger your arteries to tighten and raise your blood pressure. Stress also may

Citi Bank N.a and Pay Link Service to Customer
1. Introduction 1.1 Objective: The main purpose of the study was to compare the
theoretical knowledge with practical scenario. It was to help us to understand the
basics of Operational design and process analysis as well as apply those concepts
in reality. To gather a more hands on experience, we conducted process analysis on
the process followed by Citibank, N.A. to provide pay link service to its

efficiency of the current process and to recommend a suitable process to give a

Without passage of financial modernization legislation, under existing law
Citiwould have to divest its insurance underwriting activities within two years of
the merger (under certain circumstances this divestiture period could be extended
for up to an additional three years). Interestingly, no such requirement applies to its
securities business. When the proposed merger of the Travelers Group financial
giant and banking s Citicorp was announced in April 1998, the news stunned the
financial industry; involving some $76 billion in stock, it was at the time the
largest merger in history. For Wall Street s latest superstar, Travelers chairman and
CEO Sanford Sandy Weill, not only was the merger a step closer to the creation of
the huge international diversified financial services institution he had been
dreaming about for over a decade, but its audacity and risk was in step with Weill s
reputation as a corporate visionary who was as savvy as he was fearless2. On
November 12 U.S. Pres. Bill Clinton signed the Gramm Leach Bliley Act, marking
the end of a two decade struggle to tear down Depression era barriers between
banking, securities, and insurance in the U.S. Although the barriers had already
Disadvantage Of Instant Gratification
II. Impatience in Singaporeans
In an age where everybody is largely accessible, our environment has become one
where it encourages instant demand, and consequently, instant gratification a mindset
of wanting something at the exact moment of wanting it.
Living in an on demand society, frustrations and complaints will certainly mount
when one s level of gratification is not met. This is even more pronounced in
Generation Z, as a significant greater percentage of children are engaging in the use
of mobile phones at a young age, an electrical device, which encourages instant
gratification. In fact, their parents, people of the millennia, have been seemingly
conditioned to a world based on instant gratification. An example would be our

At this point, the paper will be raising the concept of delay gratification the
opposite of instant gratification. In 1970, psychologist Walter Mischel conducted
The Marshmallow Experiment, an experiment famous for substantiating the
effects of delay gratification. Children were given a marshmallow by researchers
and told the following: They could eat the marshmallow now and not get anymore;
or if they could wait until the researchers came back and receive a second
marshmallow. The researchers then proceeded to track these children into
adulthood, regardless of whether they decided to wait or not. The results of this
experiment showed that children who were willing to wait and delay gratification
ended up having higher SAT scores, lower levels of substance abuse, a lower
likelihood of obesity, better responses to stress, and better social skills. This was
largely attributed to the fact that, if one has the ability to delay gratification of
playing before doing work, one will be more self disciplined to complete the pre

Why Was Alexander Hamilton Was A Clever
Alexander Hamilton was a very clever man. Many believe that he was clever for
the right reasons and many also believe that he was clever for the wrong reasons.
On the website www.theatlantic.com , Alexander Hamilton was placed 5th on the
top 100 most influential Americans. I think that Hamilton did amazing things such
as being a founding father for our country but some people think that those things
just ruined our country from the very beginning. Born in the British West Indies,
he arrived in the colonies as a teenager, and quickly embarked on a remarkable
career (History.com Staff). When Alex was ten his father, James A. Hamilton,
abandoned him, his brother, and his mother. Two years later his mother, Rachel
Faucette died of a fever. Alex received that fever at the same time as his mother and
his health inclined while his mother s declined. After both parents vanished, an
older cousin took Alex and his brother in to be a guardian. The cousin of the
Hamilton s committed suicide. The brother and Alex were both were left to be
orphans. Alex traveled to America hoping for a better life and I believe he created
a good one. To have a better life, Alex decided to go to college even though he was
broke. Enrolled at King s College (now Columbia University) in 1774 (American
History Central Staff), he studied really hard to pass his classes quickly to gain a
proper job. He studied mathematics and wrote a lot.Hamilton was known for being
amazing at writing about anything. He

Role Of Happiness In Ancient Greece
Finding a Balance In current society, people question the true essence of a happy
life: is it money, power love, sex, or religion? In retrospect, however, this is a
contemplation that also wondered the minds of people from ancient times. Ever since
the emergence of early civilizations, human beings have attempted to identify the
elements that can allow them to live happier lives. For the early thinkers of these
civilizations, this quest for a more meaningful and satisfying life could be acquired
only through the application of philosophical thought. According to them,
philosophical thinking, which strictly focuses on the use of reason and logic (Pojman
and Vaughn 2), offered the only tools that would allow them find the true sources of
happiness. A prime example of a civilization that used critical thinking and reason to
identify these seemingly complex elements were the ancient Greeks. Essentially,
Greek philosophyattempted to find rational answers to basic questions about man and
the universe (Owens). These questions included the quest for happiness. The
intellectual movement of ancient Greece nurtured many different kinds of
philosophies, and in particular, there were two different kinds of philosophies that
attempted to guide people towards the quest of a fulfilled and happy life: the
philosophies of Epicureanism and Hedonism. These philosophies, however, didn t
offer the conventional ideas like love or religion as the key components of a happy
life. Instead, they
Describe A Memorable Moment In The Play
Describe a compelling or memorable moment in the play and evaluate what made it
so compelling/memorable. Consider script, performance, and spectacle factors in
your discussion. [5 significant sentences minimum] One memorable moment in the
play was when Clairee yelled in outrage and her voice sort of cracked. It made the
whole audience burst into laughter and it was my favorite part of the play. I remember
the look on each of the faces of the characters. Everyone was so connected and
serious, but at the drop of the hat (or shall I say the line) all of the women had
delightful smiles on their faces and their heads were tilted back from laughing.
Clairee s body was uptight and straight as a board and she stomped her foot as she
said the line. After, she still was stick straight but laughing like the rest of them.
Which actor was compelling to you? And what was the name of the character the

Introduction We conducted our design review on Friday, May 13, 2016 with our
professors and the other teams from our DTC section in Room G205 of the Ford
Motor Company Engineering Design Center at 2:30 P.M. We presented the
problem we were tasked with solving, our client s and user s needs, and our mock

that holds three rolls of netting, one on the top and one along each side, next to a
row of up 20 vehicles (see figure 32, and figure 33 on the following page). The
netting is then deployed by rolling a structure that is attached to the ends of the
netting over the row of vehicles. In addition to asking for general feedback, we
asked those in attendance to address the issues of the potential stability of our
product along with the problem of hailstones piling atop the netting. Figure 32:

Revenue and Timberland
Introduction Timberland has a long time history of providing quality products that
are made to be both comfortable and protective. The company can be traced back
to a one man shoe repair shop in 1918 run by Nathan Swartz. His products were
very successful and led the beginning of Abington Shoe Company in 1955. Mr.
Swartz continued to run the business his son Sidney became involved as well.
Together they created the first truly waterproof boot that come to be known as the

The Timberland Co. has five main goals that their company wishes to achieve. The
first is becoming the authentic outdoor brand of choice. Timberland will try to
accomplish this by coming up with new and innovative products that are
constantly being demanded. Their next goal as a company is to be the business
partner of choice by providing value to their customers. It is not enough that they
get their product to their customers. It is of greater importance to Timberland that
the quality of the shoe or boot being made is accepted and that the cost for their
footwear is affordable. The third goal of Timberland is to be one of the top
employers of choice internationally. Around 25 years ago was the first time
Timberland went global, creating stores in Italy and around Europe. This
international presence is one of the reasons that Timberland is the footwear giant it
is today. International sales represent 40% of their total assets (1). The final two
company goals are to be the reference for socially responsible business worldwide
Under the Influence of the Media
Under the Influence of Media
The media is a big influence on people s perception and the movies, in particular,
give us not only entertainment but also an alternate way of thinking about the
possibilities that can be given in life. In particular, action movies in America
remind their young adult audience that good will always prevail. They teach us
timeless morals that can be applied to our daily lives and with that, we may look at
the starred protagonist as a role model since they take on realistic challenges that
we can somehow relate to. Whether it is to be witty, muscular, intelligent, skilled,
or perseverant, young adults aspire to become just like these inspirations or role
models. These fictional characters tend to reflect society s idea of perfection .
However, society s idea of perfection changes over time, often skewed and too
ambiguous to achieve. In search of inspiration and role models, films influence
society just as much as society influences film.
Classic movies provide the foundation of all movies in which other productions can
compare to. The advancement of movies cannot happen without the success or
mistakes of others. Despite developing technology and its trials and errors, some
trends appeal to the audience and remain a necessity in each individual movie genre,
carried onto the next generations. The action film did not become a dominant genre
until the 1980s. Made popular by actors like Sylvester Stallone, Arnold
Schwarzenegger and Bruce Lee, action
Social Inclusion And Intellectual And Developmental...
Social inclusion is a social society in which differences are respected, values are
shared and basic needs are meant through fair social interactions. Most importantly, in
a socially inclusive society all members are acceptable and enabled full participation
within the society (Victorian Government Health Information, Australia., n.d). In
regards, to social inclusion among people with intellectual and developmental
disabilities (IDDs) the social dynamics of these circumstances can be more complex
then traditionally anticipated. In the United Statesof American six and a half million
people, on average, have intellectual and or developmental disabilities. This
translates into two and a half percent of the population (Morstad 2010). Globally,
about two hundred million people have intellectual and or developmental disabilities.
Worldwide, this makes up for three percent of the global population (Status and
Prospects of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities). As organizations and case studies
for intellectual and developmental disabilities become more prevalent so does the
knowledge of capabilities of these individuals. Some examples of these organizations
include Special Olympics, Best Buddies, Easter Seals, 321 Foundation, and the
National DisabilityRights Network. These organizations work to promote equal rights
for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities through athletic
opportunities, education, work force, health services and in communities across the
Living in Tooth Ville
Tooth Ville is a very enjoyable place; I would consider living in Tooth Ville if I was
you. Tooth Ville is an island that is a shape of a tooth, hence the name Tooth Ville .
Tooth Ville has two site factors; Tooth Ville has 3 natural harbours where food is
shipped in from other countries or cities, also many people come to Tooth Ville by
water. Also since there is a lot of food being sent in from the other countries and
cities Tooth Ville has some natural resources, also Tooth Ville is surrounded by
water we have a lot of fresh water. All we have to do is filter it and we have our
fresh water. As for Tooth Ville s situation factor, Tooth Ville has markets that are
usually full since they are really close to residential areas. And we have a lot of roads
and highways that connect everything, Tooth Ville even has 2 bridges that connect to
the mini islands around Tooth Ville.
You could say that Tooth Ville is kind of like a suburban area; Tooth Ville has a lot
of natural resources so we are not like rural areas. We also don t have that much
apartment building like they do in urban areas, Tooth Ville isn t really busy that much
maybe only twice in a week. Tooth Ville has different kinds of houses; we have
detached houses near the north west of Tooth Ville, there are apartment buildings
near the east of Tooth Ville, and some townhouses near the north of Tooth Ville
surrounding a park. Tooth Ville has one main highway that connects to the roads
which connects to stores,

  • 1. Best Essay Website Crafting an essay on the subject of the "Best Essay Website" presents a unique set of challenges that extend beyond the typical essay-writing process. The difficulty lies in navigating a vast landscape of online platforms, each claiming to be the epitome of excellence in essay writing services. The abundance of options makes it challenging to discern genuine reviews from marketing gimmicks, adding a layer of complexity to the research process. To begin with, one must delve into the diverse criteria that define a "best" essay website. Factors such as quality of writing, reliability, pricing, customer support, and adherence to deadlines all play pivotal roles in determining the overall effectiveness of these platforms. Ascertaining the credibility of user reviews further complicates the task, given the potential for both genuine testimonials and strategically placed endorsements by the services themselves. Moreover, the evolving nature of the online landscape demands a constant reassessment of available options. Websites that were once considered exemplary might undergo changes in management, policies, or service quality, rendering previously conducted research obsolete. Staying abreast of the latest developments in the realm of essay writing services becomes essential, adding an ongoing commitment to the already intricate process. The potential ethical concerns surrounding the use of essay writing services add another layer of complexity to the task. Balancing the convenience of outsourcing essay writing against the principles of academic integrity requires a nuanced exploration of the topic. This ethical dilemma necessitates an introspective examination of one's values and the academic implications of utilizing external assistance. In conclusion, crafting an essay on the topic of the "Best Essay Website" involves navigating a multifaceted landscape of considerations. From evaluating the diverse criteria that define excellence to grappling with the ethical implications of outsourcing academic work, the process demands a comprehensive and nuanced approach. While the journey may be challenging, it is essential for those seeking reliable essay writing services. • 2. Santa Fe Trail Research Paper Prior to 1821, the land beyond Missouri was an uncharted region known only to buffalo and displaced Native Americans. When Mexicans won independence from Spain in 1821, they encouraged trade with the United States via New Mexico. Lack of water and hostile Native Americans made the trip dangerous, but William Becknell, Father of the Santa Fe Trail, left Missouri that year to arrive in Santa Fe a month and a half later. After a large profit, Becknell continued to make trips, blazing the path that became known as the Santa Fe Trail. Soon, traders, visitors, and the military would regularly travel the route. Two paths developed on the Sante Fe trail, splitting at Fort Larned, KS after following the same path from Missouri to the Arkansas River,
  • 3. Ebook Advantage E books has a long way to go? Since the turn of the century, computers have become more portable, and technology has made many aspects of life more portable. Even books have been become more mobile in recent years with the popularization of e books available online and e readers that allow a person to carry a virtual library anywhere. With all the changes, there are some advantages and disadvantages brought by e books. Is it feasible that it will disappear one day as its disadvantages outweigh its advantages? Advantages 1.It helps people who have trouble with their vision I believe many of you must have come across some difficulties during reading. You may complain how small the words are and feel exhausted easily after finishing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Readers can be more easily accessible to the relevant information Another significant advantage with e Book comes when the reader, student or business associate wants to capture key tips and phrases. With the digital format, the reader can underline and highlight as much as is necessary without making permanent changes to the pages. But there is more! With an e Book the user can search and reference specific information using hyperlinks. The reader has immediate access to the sources used! Disadvantages: 1.Eye strain When reading on paper, light reflects off the page and into your eyes naturally, however, with computer screens, the device projects light into your eyes, causing headaches and possible long term damage to your eyesight. And while the LED projections used by e readers dampen eye strain, it still has an overall negative effect. 2. Information loss E books are just another file on a hard drive, and they often depend on the Internet to transfer from one location to another. A virus may invade your computer or you might accidentally damage your e readers or hard drive. Without a backup of your files, you could lose your entire book collection in one fell swoop. Moreover, third parties can monitor or even hack your files. 3. Piracy As with other media that has moved to digital distribution, e books are often pirated. Writers work hard to create their art, and they deserve to be fairly compensated for their effort. The prevalence of

  • 6. My Career Choices Within The Nutrition Field Essay During this semester in the Introduction to Human Science class we have done several career exploration papers within our degree field and to explore the careers within the human sciences. The discussion of this paper will include three values that I find important, three career choices within the nutritionfield, and three long term goals. I will also discuss how I will reach my long term goals and how my career choices and values tie into one another. According to Kato Elias (2015), Personal values create beliefs, actions, and behaviors that are important in your personal life (p. 259). Personal values are also influenced by life experiences and family. Just as a person has a set of personal values, one might have a set of work values. My personal values can also apply to work values. Throughout my life, I have valued health, respect and harmony, and unity. I value health; without health you cannot move forward in either your personal or work life. I value respect and harmony. I feel you should treat others the way you would like to be treated. There should always be a balance in place when people interact. Respect and harmony are values that apply in my personal life and in my work life because they make interaction between people more pleasant and less stressful. I value unity because it shows cohesiveness in a group. Unity shows support and the ability to get along. Unity is important in my personal life and work life because you are supported. Since I am an

As technology advances there continues to be more of an opportunity for things to go wrong. The ability of our society to obtain information has been becoming as easy as it has ever been. I simple line into the google search bar and you are looking at millions upon millions of lings and opportunities to attain information. Hard goods pirates also use the Internet to sell illegally duplicated DVDs through auctions and websites. While trafficking copyrighted works through increasingly sophisticated electronic means, such as peer to peer file trading networks, Internet chat rooms, and newsgroups, has an ever increasing negative impact on cultural industries, it is also argued that curtailing this phenomenon limits the right of access to information, knowledge and culture (4). The problem in trying to prevent digital copyright infringement is tied up in the problem of regulating the Internet an almost impossible feat, considering the World Wide Web today comprises more than 100 million individual Web sites. Regulators have been severely tried in recent years with the rise of peer to peer networks, with the most infamous being Napster. The brainchild of a 19 year old college student, Napster launched in 1999 and revolutionized the way music sharing was conducted online. However, with such a quick rise to success comes the inevitable problems; in this case, the problems arose in the form of the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and copyright lawsuits. While users of Napster saw nothing wrong with sharing music, the RIAA, which represents the four major music labels, saw the situation quite differently. By late 2000, the courts had ruled that Napster must restrict access to copyrighted
  • 8. The Production Of Production Activities Production Activities This section is an overview of the demands and tests associated with the integrity of well during production from and injection to a reservoir. The process begins after the well construction/well intervention organization has handed the well over to the production organization and concludes with a handover back to drilling and well organization for intervention, work over or abandonment. Well integrity during this phase is used to keep hydrocarbons from the pay zone inside the well and by protecting it from leaking off to contaminating groundwater for environmental purposes. Well barriers are an envelope of one or several dependent barrier elements preventing fluids or gases from flowing unintentionally from the formation to the surface and are designed and used to prevent leakages and reduce the risk associated with drilling, production and intervention activities. The main functions of a well barrier are to prevent any major hydrocarbon leakage(s) from the well to the external environment during normal production or well operations and to shut in the well on direct command during an emergency shutdown situation and thereby prevent hydrocarbons from flowing from the well out. During production, a perfectly reliable well barrier element(s) is paramount to containing the hydrocarbons inside the well. Well barrier elements are several objects that prevent formation fluids from flowing inside the well. They could be anything from packers or tubing or
  • 9. A Case About A Female Jogger Summary In the article, it first talks about a case about a female jogger who was raped, horrendously beaten, and left abandoned in the park. The female jogger survived, but lost her memory regarding the event. Police found five boys who were apparently being wild in the park. Eyewitness psychologists play a vital role in identifying the mistakes of eyewitnesses and trying to diminish the error. To continue, before a police investigator does a highly confrontational interrogation, they have to do an evaluation of the suspect to determine if they are innocent or guilty. They do that by performing an information gathering interview. At times, determining if a suspect is guilty or innocent, police investigators have interviews with witnesses, and informants. They also get it from evidence. Additionally, it is sometimes from crime related profiles about possible culprits and their intentions. In addition, police investigators use the Reid technique. The Reid technique involves using verbal cues, body language, and the person s behavioral attitudes to determine if they are not telling the truth. Furthermore, the techniques the police investigators use may not be 100% in determining deception in a person. For example, in the case of Tom Sawyer, he was accused of murder and sexual assault. The police investigators interrogated him for 16 hours and they got a confession out of him. The reason he was the main suspect in the case was because his face was red and he seemed to be embarrassed while doing the interview, which were signs of deception. Little did the investigators know Tom Sawyer was a recovering alcoholic who also had social anxiety disorder. Which was the reason he was sweating uncontrollably and getting
  • 10. Raising Bilingual Children Essay Here are the most persistent myths on raising bilingual children: Your child will be confused by learning more than one language. This belief is prevalent in monolingual countries and has far more politics than science to back it up. Rest assured that your child s little brain has more than enough neurons firing to cope with two languages (or even more) without frizzing out. On the contrary, decades of research in countless studies actually show significant cognitive advantages to being multilingual. And what about the experience of millions of families around the world where multilingualism is the norm, not the exception? Just look at Canada, Belgium, Switzerland, and Finland to mention a few. I can see two languages, maybe, but more ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Some kids can t even handle that in one language. It s true that many children have difficulties reading and writing well. However, reading and writing is a coding / decoding process and is not linked to the number of languages a child speaks, as such although it could involve multiple alphabets, and then be a bit more work. Interestingly enough, access to multiple languages actually makes it easier for children to understand the nature of language itself, which, in turn, improves overall literacy skills. Research supports what many parents have long felt: that multilingual children have better developed linguistic understanding. Article Source:

On this island Dr. Moreau and his assistant ( Montgomery) performed dangerous, secret experiments on humans and animals. When Wells wrote this he knew nothing about DNA, cloning, or chromosomes but he did use his scientific imagination. Wells realized that society was beginning to rely on sciencetoo much in the late nineteenth century. He at first tells us of the locked room where these animals and humans were being operated. He shows that they wanted to keep it a secret until they could trust their scientific advancements in the hands of the public. It is just like today because when you find a new formula or anything you have to keep it a secret before others find out. When others find out they will and can take their ideas and experiments and I think that is why Dr. Moreau secluded himself from the public. Dr. Moreau also knew that people would not approve of his scientific studies especially in the late nineteenth century. Wells was trying to show us that Moreau was just a scientist not a mean psychotic out of control person. He wanted what every scientist wanted and that was success but he took it a little past what his culture viewed as normal. If Moreau had executed his experiments in the light of his peers in the science world he would have been persecuted. Wells tried to let this doctor run free with his experiments but found

At first, my intent was to volunteer for an organization called Fresh Roots , but due to a scheduling conflict, I chose UBC Farm, which is no less essential in its impact in Vancouver s sustainability. In theory, the environmental movement has succeeded in many of its basic goals, such as bringing attention to local and global problems, educating the public on simple sustainable actions, and starting an international conversation. Nevertheless, there are many issues concerning the climate and living species that have not been resolved yet. The UBC Farm houses The Centre for Sustainable Food Systems (CSFS), which aims to change global and local food systems to be more Eco friendly and food secure. They try to find new ways to solve challenges that the sustainability of food systems face, and thus enhance community, personal and environmental health. Their group s mission is to create a healthy environment through interdisciplinary collaboration, innovative research, and educational engagement with the community. The centre also strives to increase land productivity, and advance ecosystem services; starting from supply (habitat, fuel, food, etc.) all the way to the end product (greenhouse gas, waste). By 2000, more than 500 cities had more than one million inhabitants. According to the United Nations, 54% of the world s population currently live in urban areas. Urbanization combined with the overall growth of the world s population could add another 2.5 billion people to urban populations by 2050, with close to 90 percent of the increase concentrated in Asia and Africa. This significant change of urbanization will lead to challenges in satisfying the needs for housing, infrastructure, transportation, energy supply and employment, as well as for basic services such as education and health care . This report will critically discuss three key elements in relation to urbanisation: political economy, economic growth in urban areas and urban sociology. With this discussion, I will argue that the shift in urban areas from centralization and neoliberal globalisation had effected society in different parts of the world differently. Since this essay is only looking at three main aspects, this is not a complete discussion of the matter, but it is intended to provide an insight in the main aspects of economic development in urban areas. POLITICAL URBAN DEVELOPMENT The study of urban politics is the study what occurs on the ground, among people who share the same space for day to day living. • 53. Role Of Happiness In Ancient Greece Finding a Balance In current society, people question the true essence of a happy life: is it money, power love, sex, or religion? In retrospect, however, this is a contemplation that also wondered the minds of people from ancient times. Ever since the emergence of early civilizations, human beings have attempted to identify the elements that can allow them to live happier lives. For the early thinkers of these civilizations, this quest for a more meaningful and satisfying life could be acquired only through the application of philosophical thought. According to them, philosophical thinking, which strictly focuses on the use of reason and logic (Pojman and Vaughn 2), offered the only tools that would allow them find the true sources of happiness. A prime example of a civilization that used critical thinking and reason to identify these seemingly complex elements were the ancient Greeks. • 54. Describe A Memorable Moment In The Play Describe a compelling or memorable moment in the play and evaluate what made it so compelling/memorable. Consider script, performance, and spectacle factors in your discussion. [5 significant sentences minimum] One memorable moment in the play was when Clairee yelled in outrage and her voice sort of cracked. It made the whole audience burst into laughter and it was my favorite part of the play. I remember the look on each of the faces of the characters. Everyone was so connected and serious, but at the drop of the hat (or shall I say the line) all of the women had delightful smiles on their faces and their heads were tilted back from laughing. Clairee s body was uptight and straight as a board and she stomped her foot as she said the line. After, she still was stick straight but laughing like the rest of them. Which actor was compelling to you? And what was the name of the character the actor played? The actress was most compelling to me was Madeline Ritter, and she portrayed the character, Shelby. Describe 2 moments in the play (one from Act 1 and one from Act 2 or from earlier and later in the play, if there was no intermission) where the actor s portrayal seemed compelling. Be sure to include what the actor did especially how the actor used his /her face, voice and body to bring the character to life in these moments. [5 significant sentences minimum] The first compelling moment was from Act 1. This is where Shelby tells her mom that she is pregnant. The

Introduction We conducted our design review on Friday, May 13, 2016 with our professors and the other teams from our DTC section in Room G205 of the Ford Motor Company Engineering Design Center at 2:30 P.M. We presented the problem we were tasked with solving, our client s and user s needs, and our mock up design, the Triple Threat . The Triple Threat is a system that places a structure that holds three rolls of netting, one on the top and one along each side, next to a row of up 20 vehicles (see figure 32, and figure 33 on the following page). The netting is then deployed by rolling a structure that is attached to the ends of the netting over the row of vehicles. In addition to asking for general feedback, we asked those in attendance to address the issues of the potential stability of our product along with the problem of hailstones piling atop the netting. Figure 32: Triple Threat Mock up Not Deployed Figure 33: Triple Threat Mock up Deployed Design Review Results Our design review yielded many suggestions and criticisms, as well as general comments. The comments can be seen in Table 8. • 57. Under the Influence of the Media Under the Influence of Media The media is a big influence on people s perception and the movies, in particular, give us not only entertainment but also an alternate way of thinking about the possibilities that can be given in life. In particular, action movies in America remind their young adult audience that good will always prevail. They teach us timeless morals that can be applied to our daily lives and with that, we may look at the starred protagonist as a role model since they take on realistic challenges that we can somehow relate to. Whether it is to be witty, muscular, intelligent, skilled, or perseverant, young adults aspire to become just like these inspirations or role models. These fictional characters tend to reflect society s idea of perfection . However, society s idea of perfection changes over time, often skewed and too ambiguous to achieve. In search of inspiration and role models, films influence society just as much as society influences film. Classic movies provide the foundation of all movies in which other productions can compare to. The advancement of movies cannot happen without the success or mistakes of others. Despite developing technology and its trials and errors, some trends appeal to the audience and remain a necessity in each individual movie genre, carried onto the next generations. The action film did not become a dominant genre until the 1980s. Made popular by actors like Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Lee, action
