Evaluation Of Integration Technologies For The Healthcare...
Evaluation of integration technologies
In an attempt to provide a clear perspective of the available technological approaches that can be
implemented in the healthcare supply chain, this section discusses the overall advantages and
disadvantages of each integration technology, in particular, message and object oriented technologies.
Electronic data interchange
For many years, EDIFACT has been the most widely used protocol for EDI messages. Many
healthcare organisations, as well as businesses in other industries, have used the EDI approach in
order to exchange specific domain documents towards the elimination of labour intensive tasks.
Generally speaking, EDI facilitates the application to application electronic exchange of syntactically
structured data oriented documents. However, over the years it has become apparent that healthcare
communication standards, such as EDI messages, fail to effectively establish requirements for the
internal structure and architecture of communicating systems, requiring the information in any one
system to be mapped twice: once into the message standard format by the contributing system, and
once back into the internal representation of the receiving system (Dudeck, 1998).Although the EDI
approach achieves integration at the data level, it does not provide process integration. Thus, it has
been characterised by many as a complex technology owing to the daunting task of the mapping
activity. Moreover, it does not provide high flexibility,

Arguments For Banning Books
Throughout time, countless great children s books have been published and then loved by many. To
name a few, Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling, Nancy Drew by Carolyn Keene and The Hunger Games by
Suzanne Collins. What do these three books have in common? They were all published as children s
books, then kept out of their hands for numerous reasons. Parents and teachers claimed these books
were unfit for children s reading. They either introduced topics that were not open to them yet or went
against their lifestyle. All around the world, great books are being kept from children for doltish
reasons. They are being censored, then banned from their eyes. Taking this literature from them is
ruining their childhood; it is preventing children from learning about the world and being ready for it.
Censoring in children s books needs to become less harsh or else they are going to grow up in a sealed
world. For years now, censoring has been limiting the public s freedom in literature, films, media, and
plenty of other categories. A big section being censored today, that troubles a lot of people, is children
s literature. Books are the most common thing to be censored, especially children s. They continue to
ban books across the world, meant to be enjoyed, for reasons they call valid. A popular excuse for
banning books is the diversity displayed in them. According to How Banning Books Marginalizes
Children , 52% of the books banned in the last 10 years were called diverse context

Language Development Of Frankenstein s Creature
Courtney Jurson Language Development of Frankenstein s Creature As a Communication Sciences
Disorders major, I am currently taking classes about the development of spoken language. I am also
learning about how infants and children learn language and the importance of knowing how to
communicate. This is why Volume 2, Chapter 4 of Mary Shelley s Frankenstein interested me because
this is where the creature learns language from the cottagers. It was fascinating to connect the
language development of Frankenstein s creature to the linguistic development of a child.
Frankenstein is created proportionate to an adult but he has to develop this abilities and senses from
the beginning like a human infant. At the moment of creation, he is overloaded

Edgar Wideman. II. Thesis: Wideman was affected by a wide range of challenges. While he wrote
under such unbearable conditions, it is convincing that one could take a cultural studies approach to

he wrote. III. Body: Provide evidence from text that supports my thesis. a. Pennsylvania during the

Those feelings are what caused high poverty rates, the formation of gangs, and the high level of
violence into Homewood, Pennsylvania.
John and Robert always dreamed about running away from the poverty embracing their community.
Even though they shared the same dream, each considered different means of achieving this dream.
John realized at an early age that education was his was out of poverty in Pittsburgh. In his book
Brothers and Keepers, John explains how he was running away from Pittsburgh because of the
poverty. He explained that the only logical way to get out of these unbearable conditions were to go to
college.
For many African Americans growing up in the 1960 s college was not an option. The only thing that
was option for African Americans, were to get a job to support their family. Most of the African
American communities did not have enough money to send their child to college. John understood this
situation and did not let it hinder him. He knew that the first step to his exile, his flight from home
would be getting good grades.
While attending school John did not only get good grades, he played basketball. The people in the
African American culture in the 1960 s believed that the only way for a black person to get into
college was to play sports for the white man. With many African Americans having this mind set, it

Poor Clare Research Paper
The Poor Clare s Monastery in New Orleans, Louisiana take a lot of their ideals and lifestyle choices
from the life of Saint Clare of Assisi, a close friend of Saint Francis of Assisi. These sisters main
ideals are living a life of prayer, community, and joy. They also believe that every sister should
embrace uniqueness of the monastery and their own personality. There are many Poor Clare Nuns in
the world, but each monastery is unique in its operations and daily life. The Poor Clare Sisters of New
Orleans are very typical ladies. They conduct Tuesday morning meanings in the library to make sure
the monastery is running smoothly. They discuss important issues, listen to each other s opinions, and
address needs of the monastery. On a lighter note, the sisters celebrate birthdays much like the rest of
society. They eat cake made from scratch, and the pictures suggest a sort of feast is held for the
occasion. They are encouraged to be themselves, and that can be shown through their artistic abilities
like music, crafting, cooking, or otherwise. The rose garden at the monastery is the perfect place to
relax and express themselves while being in the presence of the beauty of nature. The nuns in the
monastery each have their own simple living quarters consisting of one bed, one desk, one chair, and
one dresser. Since they ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

counseling in person or on the phone to those who need it. Although, that is not a way that they
acquire profit. Most of the money required to run the monastery comes from major donors who

Pink And William Shakespeare s Pink Floyd, The Wall
In modern stories, the protagonist anti hero displays trends to either invoke more empathy or less
empathy from the audience. The three types of anti heroes are satanic, promethean, and byronic. A
satanic anti hero is an individual who seeks an evil goal. Macbeth, a satanic anti hero, is dauntless and
a courageous warrior who values his pride and is apathetic towards others safety. A byronic anti hero
is an individual who has unclear goals and questionable means. They are unpredictable, moody,
mysterious, and is often self destructive. Pink is both a byronic anti hero and a satanic anti hero. Due
to the trauma he has endured, it has caused him to alienate himself from all humanity. Pink does not

Mother s gonna put all her fears into you displays how Pink s mother tried to make the world seem
like a scary place so Pink would stay by her side. Pink becomes trapped in his mother s world which
causes Pink to shelter himself from the outside world (naive) and to seek approval from his mother. In
addition to his life at home, he is also influenced by his teachers. At school, there were certain teachers
who would hurt the children any way they could. The Happiest Days of Our Lives shows that Pink
had been bullied for writing poems, an activity he enjoyed doing. Another Brick in the Wall, pt. 2
portrays school as a prison; a toxic environment where children were treated as animals, not humans.
Pink s individuality and freedom was stripped away from him and he faced humiliation. To avoid
future humiliation, Pink adds another brick in the wall surrounding him; further alienation. In Macbeth
s case, he was influenced by the three witches and his wife, Lady Macbeth. The three witches were
like the devil on Macbeth s shoulders. Without their prophecy to Macbeth, he probably would not
have gone on an endless murder spree. They played with his ambitions to be king and pushed him into
killing King Duncan; a call to adventure. Macbeth was hesitant with his plan to kill Duncan knowing
it is wrong. Although he wants to be king, he has no spur to prick the sides of [his] intent. In order for
Macbeth to go through with the plan, Lady Macbeth insults

Chapter 37 Of Ezekiel
The book of Ezekiel is based on the story of the priest, Ezekiel and his ministry to the Israelites in
exile. Ezekiel preaches about God s presence and how God is still involved while they are in exile. We
hear about the restoration of Israel to a great nation and how the people will know that I am the Lord .
Chapter 37 of Ezekiel is about a vision Ezekiel had. Ezekiel lands in the middle of a valley of dry
bones. God asks him whether the dry bones can live, and the obvious answer is no. he is told to
prophesy to the bones and to tell them the word of the Lord. When Ezekiel prophesies to the bones
they develop flesh and skin. They return to life and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold, a
rattling; and the bones came together (vs. 7). He then is told to prophesy to the whole house of Israel.

They, because of their sin, have been punished and have no hope. They are dead, dried out bones.
Despite their constant sin and evil doing, they will be recalled to life. The people will experience the
glory of the Lord like they have not seen it in the past. He will breath and the people will come back to
life. The glory of the Lord is powerful enough to save the people from their captors. God will restore
the people and make his name exalted. Similar to chapter 36, where the people are told there will be a
cleansing of the nation and a new covenant, God will put his people back to where they belong. The
people are once again shown to not be useful in this restoration, all the work will becuase of God, they
can do nothing. God will breath and restore his people, they people themselves continue to sin. God
will put in them a new heart and spirit, he will deliver them from their uncleanliness (Chapter. 36), the
people will do nothing. Chapter 36 and 37 show the Glory of the Lord by the promises of post exilic

Ovid s Metamorphoses-Analytical Essay
In the story of Ovid s Metamorphoses Arachne, much more is taking place than just a weaving contest.
There are examples of human ingenuity and arrogance. During the weaving contest it s a high tension
fight between Arachne and Minerva, who are both weaving the gods in two different lights, while you
have Minerva who is a god herself weaving all of their excellence and purity. Arachne is arrogantly
weaving the gods in their true colors dark, deceptive, and malicious. It s high strung and intense, it

the story and Arachne, in Arachne s case she will later be turned into a spider and for the story s sake
as soon as Arachne wins the weaving contest it has a new tone to it. Minerva, a high and mighty
goddess begins to hear rumors coming from the nearby village, saying there is a young and boastful
girl named Arachne. Arachne had been spreading rumors around claiming that she is the best weaver
in existence. Arachne said she, Could beat anyone, specifically naming Minerva (2), and challenged
her to a weaving contest. Minerva, now infuriated, rushed to the village disguised as an old woman in
an attempt to talk Arachne out of her boastful comments. As arrogant and confident as Arachne was,

Factors Affecting The Threat Agent Involved
A: LIKELIHOOD:
There are several factors that can help determine the likelihood. The first set of factors are related to
the threat agent involved. The goal is to estimate the likelihood of a successful attack from a group of
possible attackers.
A1. Threat Agent Factors
The first set of factors are related to the threat agent involved. The goal here is to estimate the
likelihood of a successful attack by this group of threat agents. Use the worst case threat agent.
A1.1: Skill level required to exploit a vulnerability:
Many tools exist to automate the exploitation of SQL injection vulnerabilities and their functions
range from mining database access to gaining command execution via specific database packages. An
attacker with basic ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
(7.0 High)
A1.4: Size: XSS and SQL Injection attacks can be carried out an individual or a team of attackers.
Nothing stops a lone attacker to exploit XSS and SQL Injection vulnerabilities. (9.0 High)
A.2: VULNERABILITY FACTORS
A.2.1: Ease of discoverability: For both vulnerabilities, it is extremely easy to be discovered by threat
agents as automated tools available freely on internet. (8.5 High)
A.2.2: Ease of exploit: Again, automated tools available to exploit these vulnerabilities so this is
extremely easy to pull off. (9.0 High)
A.2.3: Awareness: SQLi was first publicly disclosed around 17 years ago, and still on Top of the
OWASP list. It is very well known vulnerability. Same goes for the XSS it is very well known among
hackers. (9.0 High)
A.2.4: Intrusion detection: Yes, there are tools available to detect XSS and SQL Injection like SNORT
and other black box tools. (3.0 Low)
Average Score of all factors = Likelihood = 7.5 High
B: IMPACT:
Before estimating the overall impact of an attack, it is important to address that there are two kinds of
impacts. Technical impact on system/application and Business impact on the Business/Company.
B.1: Technical Impact Factors
B.1.1: Loss of confidentiality: By exploiting points of SQL Injection in the application an attacker can
gain access to all Critical Data Assets connected to the Company Portal application and backend

Death Reporters
A second work with elements that can foster intellectual and possibly emotional challenges is Death
Reporters. As explained above, not only the series title can arouse curiosity, so can the individual work
titles (e.g.: 6 + 27 + 5 ). When combining the title of the series with the title of the works, the visitor
can come to understand that the numbers refer to the number of death casualties the reporters are
announcing, hence the title Death Reporters. At first, this reflection can create a shock on an emotional
level. However, the intent is for people to reflect on the appearance of these reporters when
announcing catastrophes. Indeed, the artist wants to directly address the extreme sensationalism of

It is composed of two elements: a portrait with a stitching and a poem. The poems are the elements
that create the emotional challenge. The texts are heavily charged emotionally, creating a strong

frightening, as people might not be accustomed to reading such stories. It can equally be moderately
shocking, because even if people do understand that these are difficult moments in the lives of
refugees through media coverage, it is not every day that they can learn about their journey in this
way. Indeed, the texts are brutally honest about the atrocities they encounter on their way to the United

Essay On Budgeting
Did you know Google AdWords just announced on October 4, 2017, advertisers budgets will be
automatically enabled to exceed their daily allotment by two times?
Is this an optional change?
Nope!
Is this a good change and will it affect how you actually allocate your daily ad spend? Well, that
depends.
What Does the New Adwords Daily Budget Update Really Mean for You?
When it comes right down to it what s changed? And do you actually lose any control over your daily
AdWords budget spend?
Google hasn t made any major changes to AdWords in quite some time until now. Google quietly
made the announcement about their new daily budget policy. But the elusive way it was presented
makes advertisers a little nervous because they don t want the ... Show more content on

However, the end result of this policy, which is yet to be seen, has advertisers concluding that setting a
daily budget means nothing now.
Potential Issues (Good and Bad) as a Result of This New Update
There are several things that are going to change and perhaps be a little more challenging. For
example:
1. You ll probably never come in under your monthly advertising budget again. That could be good or
bad depending on how you look at it.
2. This change will help you maximize your monthly ad spend by showing your ads to more people
and that s great. Isn t that what you want? Of course you do. But it s also an opportunity for Google to
increase their ad revenue because this will have every advertiser coming a little closer to spending all
of their monthly budget. So it appears to be a win win for everyone.
3. Your daily tracking reports will show more sporadic numbers. On some days your ads will be
overserved and other days they will fall short, but the daily fluctuations will go both ways which
means your spend will level out by month s end.
Explaining How it All Works
Google has always had the ability to exceed the daily AdWords budget you ve selected; however, they
previously had it capped at 20 percent versus the 100 percent they are now using to manipulate their
policy.
This process is called overdelivery. There are some

The Yellow Ribbon By Pete Hamill
Memories can last a life time, so we tend to only remember the extraordinary ones. Extraordinary like
the essay The Yellow Ribbon by Pete Hamill, in which he talks about how a person named Vingo, was
riding on a, bus recently released from jail, to this oak tree explaining to some passengers that he had
told his wife to leave him if she wanted, since he went to jail or to go to this oak tree and tie a yellow
ribbon around it to see if she wants him to stick around and he will go and check it out. In the end, he
saw hundreds of ribbons tied on to the tree. Not only is this an amazing story, but also very
unforgettable one as well, because he finds out that after four years in jail his wife has enough love for
him to go to this tree and tie hundreds of ribbons just to show the type of love the women had for
Vingo. I have to say that, I believe this story is truly unforgettable, but I also got a story that is very
extraordinary, like the time that I got my very first car. Furthermore, I didn t just get a car, I got the
love of two truly loving parents. Much like Mr. Hamill and his story about love I too have a love story
that involves not my wife, but my parents. When I got to the age of driving, and around the time to go
to college I wasn t expecting any type of car of any sort because I knew that my family just had
enough money to get me into college. However, one week after I took my driver s test and passed I
was welcomed with a brand new 2015 Camaro. It was so

How the Renaissance, Reformation, and Scientific...
Social Revolutions Lead to Political Reform: How the Renaissance, Reformation, and Scientific
Revolution Led to a more Secular and Democratic Political Atmosphere. Since the beginning of time
cultural views have influenced and shaped our society but never has more change occurred than
during the Renaissance, Reformation, and Scientific Revolution. We leave the middle ages a society of
Kings and feudal life and emerge with the beginnings of modern political theory. The Renaissance was
a defining moment in history where old became new and ideas on science, nature, and education
flowed like a rushing river. The impact on authority was great and lasting in its effect to the world.

The two understood citizens rights as well as Parliament s power, effectively becoming an excellent

The English historian Herbert Butterfield once wrote:
The revolution in science overturned the authority in not only
of the Middle Ages but of the ancient world it ended not only
in the eclipse of scholastic philosophy but in the destruction of
Aristotelian physics. The scientific revolution outshines
everything since the rise of Christianity and reduces the
Renaissance and Reformation to the rank of mere episodes,
mere internal displacements within the system of medieval
Christianity. (Scientific Revolution, 6) This may be true however, as Newton said so eloquently, If I
have seen further it is because I have stood on the shoulders of giants. (Scientific Revolution, 7)
Without the inquisitive spirit and energy of the Renaissance, or the reglious examination of the
Reformation, the Scientific Revolution may never have had its beginning. Only in the last fifty years
has the western world seen as much political, cultural and scientific change. The 1960 s social

The Works Of The Renaissance Period
The artist I chose to write my descriptive criticism about is Michelangelo Buonarroti. I chose him
because his style as an artist intrigues me and I wanted to get myself involved with more of his work.
Michelangelo was born in Caprese, Italy in 1475 and died in Rome, Italy 1564 but buried in Florence .
He is a well known sculptor painter, architect, and poet whom never married. The artist had many
great works but there will be three in particular that has caught my eye that will be the focus of this
paper. All of the pieces that I will be discussing are a part of the Renaissance period . The first piece
that I will focus on is called Pieta (1499) in St.Peter s Basilica. This is a sculpture of what seems to be
the virgin Mary and Jesus after he was crucified. This sculpture is a piece that was unique to me. As I
looked at this piece it seemed in away almost life like but the way he sculpted Mary was bueatifully
done. You can see the expression on her face and even the look of her garments that she wore were
very detailed. I noticed the way this painting has a triangular approach. If u look from the top of her
head where her veil starts to flow all the way to the floor or the feet of her son Jesus that is in the
shape of the triangle. The picture shows so much emotion. It shows Jesus lifeless in his mothers arms.
You can see fine details even little nail marks in his side. Exactly what does this sculpture portray I do

the standards in research is the practice code of being honest in proposing, conducting and reporting
research. Academic research often has class timeline parameters which puts a strain on the academic
researcher. The integrity of the researcher in academic research class may be tested by shortcomings
as the result of faults in the design phase. The academic research must choose to do the right thing and
act in an ethical manner when situations arise such as in the recruitment of participants and
modifications during the data collection phase.
Research design can eliminate potential pitfalls and challenges during research data collection and
interpretation of that data. Spending more time and effort in the design phase will help to eliminate
and/or reduce such ethical situations. Crotty (1998) suggested:
1. What epistemology, theory of knowledge, embedded in the theoretical perspective, informs the
research (e.g., objectivism, subjectivism, etc.)?
2. What

Created to support this document is a self assessment tool for each Emergency Model of Care. The
purpose of the tool is to allow Local Health Districts to assess if a MOC is appropriate for their ED or
if an implemented MOC is functioning to its utmost potential. The tool is intended to be used at an ED
level in a collaborative approach with all key stakeholders. The Self Assessment tool rates the
effectiveness of each model. Results of the self assessment are then linked to responses based on the
key principles described for each MOC. A robust evaluation of each model can be used to generate an
action plan for an ED to improve the functioning of current Models of Care being used, or to consider
the implementation of new models. Assess the current Models of Care in their Emergency
Departments using the given criteria It is recognised that not all of the Models of Emergency Care are
applicable for all NSW Emergency Departments. Decisions to implement them will be made based on
the staff, patient presentations and space available in the ED to operate each model. Assess the

Abstract Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) is the collection of physical measurements in a
geographical area. It tracks the spatial average of the sensor measurements in a region. Since it is
highly vulnerable to sensor faults and measurement noise the average operation is not robust. In this
paper the proposed computational efficient method is used to compute a weight average of sensor
measurement. It takes consideration of sensor faults and sensor noise. WSN uses random projections
of sensor to compress data and send the compressed data to the data fusion center. The computation
efficient method uses the data fusion center for direct work with the compressed data stream. The
fusion center performed decompression at the time of computed weighted average. Thus, it reduces
the computational requirements. Hence the proposed method gives better accuracy and more efficient
for the WSN.
Keywords Wireless sensor network, compressive sensing, distributed compressive sensing, fault
tolerance, data fusion, robust averaging.

Critical Analysis Of The Nait Lrt Project
The following report will provide a critical analysis of the NAIT LRT Project. The report will provide
insights into the causes that resulted in the failure of the project as well as will provide
recommendations that would help in the success of the project. The reasons for the delay in the project
could be classified into improper management, lack of communication and coordination, failure to test
the mechanisms of the plan as well as flaws in the design and development of the project itself. The
report also provides recommendations for improving the present position of the project like clear
definition of roles and responsibilties especially for the top management, through review of formal
documentation as well as testing the project before its actual implementation for estimates on cost and
time required for its completion. This study is taken from online articles, journals, City of Edmonton
website and news channels. This study helps to understand the past and the present position of the
project.

Summary Of John Locke s Second Treatise
John Locke, an important political thinker, wrote Second Treatise of Government and A Letter
Concerning Toleration. This book has served to shape democracies around the world and it is one of
the books that the founding fathers used ideas from. The most significant chapter of the Second
Treatise is Chapter 5. Section 50 of this chapter is one of the core passages. This passage leads from
the to the need for a civil society/government in order to protect the property rights. Locke is
fascinated with the introduction of money in the sense that he was puzzled and curious about money.
The introduction of money led to a greater amount of inequality in possessions around the world that
we still see today. Before money was invented, obtaining property ... Show more content on

Money is something that lasts a long time and will not spoil with time and provided a common value
in which to use in trading. With this agreement, money began to represent wealth in the goods and
services. With money, people were able to expand their possessions creating a vaster amount of
unequal possessions. Locke states that with the use of money, that by mutual consent men would take
in exchange for the truly useful (22). This shows that men, whether they realized it or not, have
consented to having more disproportionate and unequal possessions voluntarily when they agreed to
use money. This was not something that was imposed on the people by stronger men; this is what the
people agreed to. Another problem is when Locke states that there are unequal possessions with the
use of money (23). Before the invention of money, one family might need more to survive as they
have more members than another family. In this situation, there would not be equal possessions among
the families. The family would still be obtaining property through labor and only taking what was
needed; yet they would have more than the other family. This shows that there was inequality before
money was

The Five Types Of Business Entities
Choosing between the many business entities offered can be a challenge for some and finding the
different pros and cons to each entities. In this essay, I will examine and analyze each business entity
that is discussed in our class textbook. The book displays five types business entities. These entities
include corporations, limited liability companies, limited liability partnerships, partnerships and lastly,
sole proprietorships. For each business entity, I will go in depth and define each usage and develop
some pros and cons ideas. A business entity can be defined as an association that launches itself as a
distinct presence for devotions with taxes.
The corporate structure can be quite complex and expensive than most of the business entities. A
corporation is an impartial legal unit that is discrete from the proprietors. It entails obeying with

Partnerships come in two categories, general and limited. With a general partnership, associates
succeed the company and undertake accountability for the partnership s debts and other

over the company and they are not focused with the similar liabilities as general partners have. A
general partnership would be easier to practice if two or more partners who strive to be vigorously
convoluted in the company. One of the major advantages of a partnership is the tax treatment it entails.
A partnership does not pay tax on its earnings but passes through any profits or losses to the individual
partners. During tax season, the partnership has to file a tax return that accounts for its income and
losses. Personal liability is a main distress if you use a general partnership to develop your

The Role Of Capital Punishment In Judaism
The right to life is a privilege that all humans have, but this right has become a topic of disagreement
and in many situations people feel that it is acceptable to take this right away from another person.
Either by capital punishment or by abortions we find ourselves in the position where others are
dictating the outcome of another person s life. These two topics have brought a great deal debates,
new ruling and changes in the law. The controversy that surrounds them are driven by the strong
opinions and in many case the emotional feeling people have about them. Play a major driving force
in the disagreement in this two topics are the different religious beliefs. In many ways both the Roman
Catholic and Jewish faith views on these two ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is very interesting that this idea is supported in Judaism because there are over thirty accounts of
capital punishment in the Old Testament. There are also very well known quotes from the Old
Testament on capital punishment such as a life for a life, an eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth
(Deuteronomy 19:21), and A man who spills human blood, should have his blood spilled (Genesis
9:6). Although the Jewish and Roman Catholic views are very similar to one another, the one thing
that makes these two views different is that the Jewish faith says that the death penalty should exist.
Steven Davidoff stated supports this when he stated, The Jewish view on the death penalty is that it
should exist but it should never be used (Davidoff 93). This is a very interesting statement because
what it is telling us is that the Jewish faith believes that the death penalty should be used as a
deterrent. This idea is a great way to look at capital punishment because if the idea of death being a
punishment is enforce many criminals are more likely to think twice before committing a serious
crime. Despite the current view on capital punishment, in early Jewish Law the idea of the death
penalty was supported, but this was due to the fact that other laws and Israel traditions at the time
clashed. Forming the theory that a select few crimes should be punishable by death. Although it was
supported under Jewish Law it was a very rare occurrence mainly because of the fact that there were

How Did Oda Nobunaga s Contribution To The Reunification...
From the mid fifteenth to the late sixteenth century, Japan was in a period of warring states. Oda
Nobunaga, a prominent warlord was the first to begin the reunification of Japan. He was a man who
had no qualms about killing his enemies. In one of his letters, he boasted about his executions. In one
town, Nobunaga s men took as many as one and a half thousand heads, and in the envious we took in
all two thousand more (Theodore de Bary 448). Despite his violet nature, Nobunaga was also
economically conscious. During his campaign, he abolished toll barriers as they hindered commerce
and encouraged free markets (Butler 312). After his assassination, Toyotomi Hideyoshi picked up the
torch and continued to unite country. He created an early version of the class system separating the
farmers from the warriors, and it was enforced through a sword hunt. Farmers were prevented from
owning weapons such as swords and guns. The sword hunt also served as a method to reduce villager
rebellions and to freeze movement between social classes (Butler 313). After Hideyoshi s death, there

Within a few days, the disease started affecting the town, making the Black Death s first of many

that devastated the Western World in late 1347. The disease originated in eastern Asia but was spread

The abundance of fleas and rats combined with the ability for the disease to become airborne allowed
for rapid spreading, large outbreaks, and high mortality rates. When the Black Plague arrived, Europe
was already in a state of distress. Europe s population had grown so large that it was becoming
difficult to sustain the population. They converted all available land to cereal production to produce
the basic need of bread, but they remained one bad harvest or natural disaster away from death. At the
time, the climate was going through a cold phase. This left Europe with harsh winters and wet
summers allowing for many failed harvests leading to significant famines and deaths (Naphy Spicer
27). The arrival of the plague in Sicily marked the inauguration of the cycle of movement that raged
through Europe. The Plague would slow down during the winter months then regained its fierce
momentum during the summer months as it made its way through the Western World, traveling by
ships and arriving in ports. When the people of Messina first started becoming infected with the
plague, some of them fled to Catania. These immigrants unknowingly brought the plague with them
and the people of Catania began falling ill. Catania imposed quarantine laws, regulations on
immigrants, and buried their dead outside the city walls, but none of it made a difference as hundreds
of people began dying here as well

Rosalie Metaphors
The way this book is written tricks me up sometimes because it goes from talking in past tense to the
quotes being in present tense and she also refers to the readers. It was strange to read at first, but once
I got the hang of it the book was made more enjoyable because of it. Matilda seems to be in the
background the whole time. She is present, but in the background. She seems to like to keep to herself
and listened to her sister when Rosalie was around, but never makes large impressions on Agnes.
Rosalie on the other hand makes that huge impression, when she turns back and gives Agnes that hug.
I almost forgave her for messing with all those boys. It showed to me that deep inside she does have a
heart and cared about people. Then when Agnes gets that letter from Rosalie I realized that she was
always going to be a little bit of a brat. She, what I took as, whined for Agnes to come and visit her.
Then she went on to tall Agnes about her charming child. I feel bad that her husband does not like that
it was a girl, but technically it was his fault. I feel bad for that child though. She is going to have to

However, you couldn t just be elected into any given office with no experience. The cursus honorum

It s all about survival. When the Arctic tern enters the southern hemisphere, summer starts over and
temperatures stay mild and within the tern s range of tolerance. Most Arctic terns spend the first
month of their migration in the north Atlantic ocean eating and collecting energy for the long trip
ahead. Some migrations have been over 44,000 miles long round trip, with the birds rarely stopping
for rest and food. The specific reason these animals migrate so far is widely unknown, although it is
assumed for survival or breeding purposes. Some scientists suggest that it s because of the rich [polar]
feeding grounds that they travel so far. If the migrations performed by this organism were to stop, the
population would decrease rapidly because the temperatures in either one of their habitats will drop so
low that they will be outside the Arctic tern s limits of tolerance and the birds would freeze to death.
Arctic terns also provide a great source of pest control when they eat insects and worms during their
migrations. This would then be lost if the Arctic tern stopped migrating. The Arctic tern has an annual
mortality rate of 18%, according to a study in the Farne Islands. Over 50% of the species will live past

scholarships and help build a college resume. One reason why schools should not control the number
of extracurricular activities a student can join is it can deny them the chance to develop a high work
ethic. Developing a work ethic can help a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As I mentioned earlier, my friend Brandon attends the Naval Academy. His story of getting in is
amazing but there s one thing I want to point out. One of the biggest deciding factors for him wasn t
his grades, but rather the activities he engaged in. The Naval Academy saw his grades and realized
they were decent grades, but they also realized he was involved in baseball, ROTC, multiple bands
and his classes and that s what persuaded the Naval Academy to accept him. What if a student has
straight B s all through High school, but was involved in tons of after school stuff? Does that mean he
can t make it into a prestigious university? Absolutely not. Extracurricular activities can very easily be
a deciding factor in earning scholarships. One of the most over looked but certainly not least important
benefit of engaging in after school activities is the help it gives in creating a work resume. When you
fill out a resume, it asks for a plethora of things but one thing it asks for is activities you engage in.
Everyone stresses out over creating a resume, and engaging in activities can help. Things require
resumes are jobs, colleges, etc. For example, it may ask for you good qualities and you could put that
you are dedicated, then list the activities you re in to back up your statement. If it asks for talents, you
can put down sports you play in school or an instrument you play. Engaging in after

The Pros And Cons Of Playing Deer Hunter
Alright so maybe this is a cruel topic but let s face it, the bear hunters that particpated in New Jersey
probably had more fun than anybody playing Deer Hunter 2014. New Jersey s open season on bears
has opened and the citizens over there sure got a lot of them. This, no doubt, led to many protesters
against it. Maybe they should go play Deer Hunter and see if the real thing would be more fun!
BEAR HUNTERS GO WILD IN NEW JERSEY
There were a total of 216 bears that were killed on opening day of bear season. This number nearly
doubled the amount of last year which was only 120. This means that the week long season will
probably last years amount of 272 bears. Although there were protesters, a member of the Bureau of

The Race Into Space

The Race into Space
Introduction:
As many people may know, the U.S.A. went to the moon first, but what they don t know is the story
behind the space race. So, I m going to tell you about it. For example, J.F.K. s speech. Also, about just
the space space race. Lastly, about who got there first and how. J.F.K. s Speech:
J.F.K. wanted to do something new while he was president, and in my opinion, that something new
was to go to the moon. Kennedy said his speech at Rice University because he wanted the young
peoples to tell their parents to help with the rocket payments and stuff like that. In my opinion, the
best part of his speech was when he said, ...not because they are easy, but because they are hard.
All About the Race:
The space race first started in the 1950 s. On November 3, 1957 Russia lanuches Sputnik 2, to follow
up on Sputnik 1. Inside the Sputnik 2 was a small dog named Laika, and she became the first live
animal in space. Unfortunatley, Laika did not survive. Then, on Jauary 2,1959 Russia s Luna 1 is the
very first space craft to go towards the moon, but unfortunatly goes past the moon and goes into orbit
of the sun between Mars and our planet Earth. In the 60 s more stuff happened. I m not going to say
EVERYTHING that happened in the sixties but I will tell you one super awesome thing. Neil
Armstrong, Buss Aldrin, and crewmate Micheal Collins were the first people to walk on ... Show more

Yes, Niel Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Micheal Collins were the first people on the moon, but I haven
t told you the date or the country they where from. The date was July 20, 1969, and they were from
the U.S.A. So, Yes, the U.S.A. got there first.
Conclusion:
Now you know the story behind the space race, so go tell your parents cousins, Aunts, Uncles, and
maybe even friends. Remember, I told you about J.F. K s speech, the space race, and who went to the

The And Pka Values Of Nucleobases
NUCLEOSIDE TAUTOMERISM AND pKa VALUES
The nucleophilicity of nucleobases (Figure 2.1.1) is dictated by the pKa of the amino and amido
functions and their tautomeric forms. Table 2.1.1 lists the pKa values of nucleobases. The amide like
nitrogens (N3 of uridine and N1 of guanosine) are acidic in character, whereas the ring nitrogens are
basic. Therefore, at strongly alkaline pH, the proton at N3 of uridine and thymidine and that at N1 of
guanosine are removed. Under acidic conditions (at pH ~3), the sites of protonation are N1 of
adenosine and N3 of cytidine. At more acidic pH, the N7 of guanosine and adenosine and the O4 of
uridine are protonated. Thus, all the bases remain mostly uncharged in the physiological range of pH 5
to 9 ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Quite clearly, protecting groups and the protocols for their installation and removal should be designed
to avoid various side reactions.
Nucleobases undergo substitution reactions with electrophilic reagents. For example, both N and O
alkylation of the imide and lactam groups occur with alkylating agents. The N7 position of purines is
also a potential site for electrophilic attack (Figure 2.1.5). Because of these competing reactions,
simple alkylation of exocyclic amino function is not a viable protection strategy for nucleobases. On
the other hand, it is possible to chemoselectively acylate the exocyclic amino group. Thus, acyl type
protecting groups are widely used for the protection of the exocyclic amino groups of nucleosides
(Figure 2.1.7).
The imide/lactam NH of thymidine, uridine (pKa, 9.38), and guanosine (pKa, 9.42) is weakly acidic
and can deprotonate under basic conditions. The resulting nucleophilic anion can react with a variety
of reagents such as activated phosphates, dicyclohexylcarbodiimide (DCC), mesitylene sulfonyl
chloride, 1 (mesitylene 2 sulfonyl) 3 nitro 1,2,4 triazole (MSNT), acid chlorides, phosphitylating
reagents, and electrophilic reagents that are employed during coupling reactions. These side reactions
result in nucleobase derived N and O products.
Nucleosides also react with a variety of nucleophilic reagents. For example,

The Role Of Eskimo Culture In Gabrielle Roy s Windflower
Gabrielle Roy s Windflower was analyzed in the interactive oral. The contrast of European/white
culture and Eskimo culture was heavily evident in the novel. The contrast between the role of Eskimo
mothers and white mothers was discussed in the oral. It was said that Eskimo mothers such as Winnie
take care of their families because it is her role for supporting the family and helping them survive
while white mothers such as Madame Beaulieu seem to take care of their families only because they
are not given anything else to do. By understanding the difference in the cultural role of mothers, I am
able to further understand how Elsa wavers back and forth between the two ways of life, and how she
is constantly being influenced by both and

Classical feudalism, which developed in and after
the 10th century. It was only toward the year 1000 that the term fief began to be used instead of
benefice. Feudalism
was a contractual system of political and military relationships. It was characterized by giving
someone fiefs in
return of politcal or military services. The feudal method of holding land was by fief; the grantor of
the fief was the
suzerain, or overlord, and the recipient was the vassal. This formal procedure served to cement the
personal
relationship between lord and vassal; after the ceremony the
lord invested the vassal with the fief, usually by giving him some symbol of the transferred land.
Honors or rights, as
well as land, could be granted as fiefs. With the advent of hereditary succession and primogeniture,
renewal of the
fief by the heir of the deceased became customary, and little by little the fief became hereditary. The
feudal system
rested on the unsettled conditions of the times and thus on the need of the lord for armed warriors and

Vivid Imagery In Nurse Ratched

manipulative Nurse Ratched is. Nurse Ratched is controlling throughout the novel. She runs the
hospital under strict circumstances. Throughout the course of the novel, Nurse Ratched sets up therapy
sessions where she forces the men to discuss personal events from their past. Through these therapy
sessions, Big Nurse is manipulative and harsh. She displays how powerful she is when she gets the
men to talk and uses shame to keep them under her control. These sessions are ironic since therapy is
meant to console patients, not make them feel overpowered and distressed. Another scene where

Goodman Brown Archetypes

Short Fiction Essay
In Nathaniel Hawthorne s 1835 allegorical, short fiction Young Goodman Brown, innocent, young
Puritan of Salem Village, young Goodman Brown willingly leaves his wife and religion Faith and
enters the dark forest, where he experiences a radical encounter that alters his ways of life. Throughout
this short story Young Goodman Brown, Hawthorne reveals man s inherent nature to stray and sin, due
to man s corruption of morality. Human fallibility, even that of the religious, good, pure man, is
inevitable in the world, where sin and darkness reign through the devil s destructive temptations and
accusations. Nathaniel Hawthorne incorporates countless archetypes, allegories, characterizations, ...

Along with character and color archetypes, Hawthorne also includes situational archetypes to convey
the loss of innocence and the fall of man in Young Goodman Brown. The journey sparked by curiosity
led to the encounter with the devil, which resulted in the fall of man and the battle between good and
evil. Therefore, although young Goodman Brown entered the forest with only one intention of
meeting someone and returning back to Faith, the devil does not easily let go of him. When Goodman
Brown halts and tries to turn back towards Faith, the second traveller convinces him to continue and
they continued to walk onward... This scene depicts the constant battle between good and evil, where
the devil throws temptations and leads man astray from the good, pure, straight walk with the Lord.
As Goodman Brown is taken deeper into the forest by the second traveller, they encounter a circle of
devil worshippers, from what it seems. Hawthorne uses imagery, epithets, and dialogue to express the
consuming darkness. As Goodman Brown draws nearer toward the crowd, he sees and hears.
Welcome, my children, says the dark figure, to the communion of your race. Ye have found thus
young your nature and your destiny. My children, look behind you! Hawthorne includes chilling
dialogue of the devil and describes the crowd of figures to be recognizable by Goodman Brown. They
turned; and flashing forth, as

Algonquian Culture Analysis
When I was a little girl, my grandmother told me an Algonquian story of a man and his family who
got lost during the harsh winter so they hid in a den near a valley. Soon, whatever food they had was
all gone and the family started to starve with nothing to eat. The man soon grew so hungry he ate his
eldest son, thinking that he had plenty other sons until more and more of his children fell victim to his
gluttony. As his wife, the woman could do nothing but grieve the loss of her children up until the
husband turned into such a horrible abomination that he did not care about his wife s safety and ate her
as well. Grandmother explained to me that those stories were warnings to our people and the results of
what can happen if we commit the sin of eating man flesh. The man is now recognized in the
Algonquian culture as the first Wendigo. It was my fault that we got lost because I didn t consider how
far we were from our tribe, and the severe threat of the white men that we heard stories of. Achak said
that the white men were inhibited with the evil spirits that steal souls which is why they have such
pale skin. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I almost hesitated until I remembered Achak s weeping face, and how these men laughed at him and I
wasn t scared anymore. One bite turned into two that turned into three... The taste was hard to ignore,
but I wasn t hungry anymore so I kept eating. Flesh is so good, the first couple bites were difficult, but
now the taste is insatiable. I kept eating and eating, but no matter what I ate, I felt hungrier than ever.
As time passed, I found out that I could reach the opening for some reason, even though it was almost
twice my height. My skin began to look more strange, and my hands were mutilated, but for some
reason it didn t even bother me like it would ve before. Food food food foodfoodfoo was the only
thing in my mind right now and It was time to

Effects Of Invasive Plants
The devastating effects of rangeland invasive plants have influencedeffect many natural resources, as
well as humans lives, without them knowing about it. The impacts of the invasion vary from place to
place. Invasive plant species have numerous effects on the ecosystem goods and services provided by
rangelands ( Basics of Invasive Species ). The resources that are gathered from rangelands are
affectedeffected by the invasive plant species, all of those effects become one great issue that humans
need to try and solve. Livestock is one of the major factors that are impacted by the introduction of
invasive plants. These unwanted plants impact grazing lands by lowering yield and quality of forage
for livestock, impeding access to desirable forage, poisoning animals, increasing costs of managing
and producing livestock, and reducing grazing land value (Techline News). All of these impacts are
the part of a larger ecological impact that can kill livestock, and other plants and animals living in that
area. All of these ecological issues create a big enough picture to see what is really going on when one
plant invades, the invasions hurt the environment and ecosystem.
Several financial impacts of these invasive rangeland plants, appear in the livestock market as well as
many other agricultural related markets; these losses affecteffect all consumers that would purchase or
use agricultural related products. The beliefs of many people are that rangeland plant invasions will

  • 2. Evaluation Of Integration Technologies For The Healthcare... Evaluation of integration technologies In an attempt to provide a clear perspective of the available technological approaches that can be implemented in the healthcare supply chain, this section discusses the overall advantages and disadvantages of each integration technology, in particular, message and object oriented technologies. Electronic data interchange For many years, EDIFACT has been the most widely used protocol for EDI messages. Many healthcare organisations, as well as businesses in other industries, have used the EDI approach in order to exchange specific domain documents towards the elimination of labour intensive tasks. Generally speaking, EDI facilitates the application to application electronic exchange of syntactically structured data oriented documents. However, over the years it has become apparent that healthcare communication standards, such as EDI messages, fail to effectively establish requirements for the internal structure and architecture of communicating systems, requiring the information in any one system to be mapped twice: once into the message standard format by the contributing system, and once back into the internal representation of the receiving system (Dudeck, 1998).Although the EDI approach achieves integration at the data level, it does not provide process integration. Thus, it has been characterised by many as a complex technology owing to the daunting task of the mapping activity. Moreover, it does not provide high flexibility, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Arguments For Banning Books Throughout time, countless great children s books have been published and then loved by many. To name a few, Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling, Nancy Drew by Carolyn Keene and The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. What do these three books have in common? They were all published as children s books, then kept out of their hands for numerous reasons. Parents and teachers claimed these books were unfit for children s reading. They either introduced topics that were not open to them yet or went against their lifestyle. All around the world, great books are being kept from children for doltish reasons. They are being censored, then banned from their eyes. Taking this literature from them is ruining their childhood; it is preventing children from learning about the world and being ready for it. Censoring in children s books needs to become less harsh or else they are going to grow up in a sealed world. For years now, censoring has been limiting the public s freedom in literature, films, media, and plenty of other categories. A big section being censored today, that troubles a lot of people, is children s literature. Books are the most common thing to be censored, especially children s. They continue to ban books across the world, meant to be enjoyed, for reasons they call valid. A popular excuse for banning books is the diversity displayed in them. According to How Banning Books Marginalizes Children , 52% of the books banned in the last 10 years were called diverse context ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Language Development Of Frankenstein s Creature Courtney Jurson Language Development of Frankenstein s Creature As a Communication Sciences Disorders major, I am currently taking classes about the development of spoken language. I am also learning about how infants and children learn language and the importance of knowing how to communicate. This is why Volume 2, Chapter 4 of Mary Shelley s Frankenstein interested me because this is where the creature learns language from the cottagers. It was fascinating to connect the language development of Frankenstein s creature to the linguistic development of a child. Frankenstein is created proportionate to an adult but he has to develop this abilities and senses from the beginning like a human infant. At the moment of creation, he is overloaded ... Introduction: Introduce and provide information on the book Brothers and Keepers by John Edgar Wideman. II. Thesis: Wideman was affected by a wide range of challenges. Those feelings are what caused high poverty rates, the formation of gangs, and the high level of violence into Homewood, Pennsylvania. John and Robert always dreamed about running away from the poverty embracing their community. Even though they shared the same dream, each considered different means of achieving this dream. John realized at an early age that education was his was out of poverty in Pittsburgh. In his book Brothers and Keepers, John explains how he was running away from Pittsburgh because of the poverty. He explained that the only logical way to get out of these unbearable conditions were to go to college. For many African Americans growing up in the 1960 s college was not an option. The only thing that was option for African Americans, were to get a job to support their family. Most of the African American communities did not have enough money to send their child to college. John understood this situation and did not let it hinder him. He knew that the first step to his exile, his flight from home would be getting good grades. While attending school John did not only get good grades, he played basketball. The people in the African American culture in the 1960 s believed that the only way for a black person to get into college was to play sports for the white man. There are many Poor Clare Nuns in the world, but each monastery is unique in its operations and daily life. The Poor Clare Sisters of New Orleans are very typical ladies. They conduct Tuesday morning meanings in the library to make sure the monastery is running smoothly. They eat cake made from scratch, and the pictures suggest a sort of feast is held for the occasion. They are encouraged to be themselves, and that can be shown through their artistic abilities like music, crafting, cooking, or otherwise. The three types of anti heroes are satanic, promethean, and byronic. A satanic anti hero is an individual who seeks an evil goal. Macbeth, a satanic anti hero, is dauntless and a courageous warrior who values his pride and is apathetic towards others safety. A byronic anti hero is an individual who has unclear goals and questionable means. They are unpredictable, moody, mysterious, and is often self destructive. In addition to his life at home, he is also influenced by his teachers. At school, there were certain teachers who would hurt the children any way they could. The Happiest Days of Our Lives shows that Pink had been bullied for writing poems, an activity he enjoyed doing. Another Brick in the Wall, pt. 2 portrays school as a prison; a toxic environment where children were treated as animals, not humans. Pink s individuality and freedom was stripped away from him and he faced humiliation. To avoid future humiliation, Pink adds another brick in the wall surrounding him; further alienation. In Macbeth s case, he was influenced by the three witches and his wife, Lady Macbeth. The three witches were like the devil on Macbeth s shoulders. Without their prophecy to Macbeth, he probably would not have gone on an endless murder spree. They played with his ambitions to be king and pushed him into killing King Duncan; a call to adventure. However, the end result of this policy, which is yet to be seen, has advertisers concluding that setting a daily budget means nothing now. Potential Issues (Good and Bad) as a Result of This New Update There are several things that are going to change and perhaps be a little more challenging. For example: 1. You ll probably never come in under your monthly advertising budget again. That could be good or bad depending on how you look at it. 2. This change will help you maximize your monthly ad spend by showing your ads to more people and that s great. Isn t that what you want? Of course you do. But it s also an opportunity for Google to increase their ad revenue because this will have every advertiser coming a little closer to spending all of their monthly budget. So it appears to be a win win for everyone. 3. Your daily tracking reports will show more sporadic numbers. On some days your ads will be overserved and other days they will fall short, but the daily fluctuations will go both ways which means your spend will level out by month s end. Explaining How it All Works Google has always had the ability to exceed the daily AdWords budget you ve selected; however, they previously had it capped at 20 percent versus the 100 percent they are now using to manipulate their policy. Extraordinary like the essay The Yellow Ribbon by Pete Hamill, in which he talks about how a person named Vingo, was riding on a, bus recently released from jail, to this oak tree explaining to some passengers that he had told his wife to leave him if she wanted, since he went to jail or to go to this oak tree and tie a yellow ribbon around it to see if she wants him to stick around and he will go and check it out. In the end, he saw hundreds of ribbons tied on to the tree. Not only is this an amazing story, but also very unforgettable one as well, because he finds out that after four years in jail his wife has enough love for him to go to this tree and tie hundreds of ribbons just to show the type of love the women had for Vingo. I have to say that, I believe this story is truly unforgettable, but I also got a story that is very extraordinary, like the time that I got my very first car. Furthermore, I didn t just get a car, I got the love of two truly loving parents. Much like Mr. Hamill and his story about love I too have a love story that involves not my wife, but my parents. When I got to the age of driving, and around the time to go to college I wasn t expecting any type of car of any sort because I knew that my family just had enough money to get me into college. However, one week after I took my driver s test and passed I was welcomed with a brand new 2015 Camaro. It was so ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Social Revolutions Lead to Political Reform: How the Renaissance, Reformation, and Scientific Revolution Led to a more Secular and Democratic Political Atmosphere. Since the beginning of time cultural views have influenced and shaped our society but never has more change occurred than during the Renaissance, Reformation, and Scientific Revolution. We leave the middle ages a society of Kings and feudal life and emerge with the beginnings of modern political theory. The Renaissance was a defining moment in history where old became new and ideas on science, nature, and education flowed like a rushing river. The two understood citizens rights as well as Parliament s power, effectively becoming an excellent example of a limited monarchy with consent of the people (Matthews, Platt, 387). The English historian Herbert Butterfield once wrote: The revolution in science overturned the authority in not only of the Middle Ages but of the ancient world it ended not only in the eclipse of scholastic philosophy but in the destruction of Aristotelian physics. The scientific revolution outshines everything since the rise of Christianity and reduces the Renaissance and Reformation to the rank of mere episodes, mere internal displacements within the system of medieval Christianity. (Scientific Revolution, 6) This may be true however, as Newton said so eloquently, If I have seen further it is because I have stood on the shoulders of giants. I chose him because his style as an artist intrigues me and I wanted to get myself involved with more of his work. Michelangelo was born in Caprese, Italy in 1475 and died in Rome, Italy 1564 but buried in Florence . He is a well known sculptor painter, architect, and poet whom never married. The artist had many great works but there will be three in particular that has caught my eye that will be the focus of this paper. All of the pieces that I will be discussing are a part of the Renaissance period . The first piece that I will focus on is called Pieta (1499) in St.Peter s Basilica. This is a sculpture of what seems to be the virgin Mary and Jesus after he was crucified. This sculpture is a piece that was unique to me. As I looked at this piece it seemed in away almost life like but the way he sculpted Mary was bueatifully done. You can see the expression on her face and even the look of her garments that she wore were very detailed. I noticed the way this painting has a triangular approach. If u look from the top of her head where her veil starts to flow all the way to the floor or the feet of her son Jesus that is in the shape of the triangle. The picture shows so much emotion. It shows Jesus lifeless in his mothers arms. You can see fine details even little nail marks in his side. Exactly what does this sculpture portray I do not know but I do know that just from ... A Research Project On The Data Collection Process Manatowa Research Project Report Identify and describe key lessons learned in your data collection process The first potential participant I spoke with on the phone asked me a question, can any staff member volunteer to participate or do they have to be a licensed social worker ? A very valid question and something I had not anticipated. I did not know how to answer her at first. That fact was not part of my research design. As explained by the University of Oxford Personnel Service UAS (2015) among the standards in research is the practice code of being honest in proposing, conducting and reporting research. Academic research often has class timeline parameters which puts a strain on the academic researcher. The integrity of the researcher in academic research class may be tested by shortcomings as the result of faults in the design phase. The academic research must choose to do the right thing and act in an ethical manner when situations arise such as in the recruitment of participants and modifications during the data collection phase. Research design can eliminate potential pitfalls and challenges during research data collection and interpretation of that data. Spending more time and effort in the design phase will help to eliminate and/or reduce such ethical situations. Crotty (1998) suggested: 1. What epistemology, theory of knowledge, embedded in the theoretical perspective, informs the research (e.g., objectivism, subjectivism, etc.)? 2. What ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It tracks the spatial average of the sensor measurements in a region. Since it is highly vulnerable to sensor faults and measurement noise the average operation is not robust. In this paper the proposed computational efficient method is used to compute a weight average of sensor measurement. It takes consideration of sensor faults and sensor noise. WSN uses random projections of sensor to compress data and send the compressed data to the data fusion center. The computation efficient method uses the data fusion center for direct work with the compressed data stream. The fusion center performed decompression at the time of computed weighted average. Thus, it reduces the computational requirements. Hence the proposed method gives better accuracy and more efficient for the WSN. Keywords Wireless sensor network, compressive sensing, distributed compressive sensing, fault tolerance, data fusion, robust averaging. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Money is something that lasts a long time and will not spoil with time and provided a common value in which to use in trading. With this agreement, money began to represent wealth in the goods and services. With money, people were able to expand their possessions creating a vaster amount of unequal possessions. Locke states that with the use of money, that by mutual consent men would take in exchange for the truly useful (22). This shows that men, whether they realized it or not, have consented to having more disproportionate and unequal possessions voluntarily when they agreed to use money. This was not something that was imposed on the people by stronger men; this is what the people agreed to. Another problem is when Locke states that there are unequal possessions with the use of money (23). Before the invention of money, one family might need more to survive as they have more members than another family. In this situation, there would not be equal possessions among the families. The family would still be obtaining property through labor and only taking what was needed; yet they would have more than the other family. This shows that there was inequality before money was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is very interesting that this idea is supported in Judaism because there are over thirty accounts of capital punishment in the Old Testament. There are also very well known quotes from the Old Testament on capital punishment such as a life for a life, an eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth (Deuteronomy 19:21), and A man who spills human blood, should have his blood spilled (Genesis 9:6). Although the Jewish and Roman Catholic views are very similar to one another, the one thing that makes these two views different is that the Jewish faith says that the death penalty should exist. Steven Davidoff stated supports this when he stated, The Jewish view on the death penalty is that it should exist but it should never be used (Davidoff 93). This is a very interesting statement because what it is telling us is that the Jewish faith believes that the death penalty should be used as a deterrent. This idea is a great way to look at capital punishment because if the idea of death being a punishment is enforce many criminals are more likely to think twice before committing a serious crime. Despite the current view on capital punishment, in early Jewish Law the idea of the death penalty was supported, but this was due to the fact that other laws and Israel traditions at the time clashed. The cursus honorum was a system that allowed you to advance through the ranks, kind of like how American presidents are usually governors, then senators, and then elected president. However, success could be dangerous in Roman politics. The Gracchi were two brothers who were both elected to be tribunes, and they tried to pass legislation to take wrongfully acquired land from the patricians, and put it back in the hands of the original plebian owners. The species spends the northern summers in the colder regions of Eurasia and North America. It migrates to the southern hemisphere during the northern winter. The Arctic tern breeds between May and July in the Arctic and subarctic regions of Asia, North America and Europe, as far south as Massachusetts. The Arctic tern has the K reproductive strategy because it only lays two eggs a year, each with a high probability of survival into adulthood. The population size generally stays the same and equal throughout the age demographics, a common characteristic of K reproductive strategists. When the Arctic tern enters the southern hemisphere, summer starts over and temperatures stay mild and within the tern s range of tolerance. Most Arctic terns spend the first month of their migration in the north Atlantic ocean eating and collecting energy for the long trip ahead. Some migrations have been over 44,000 miles long round trip, with the birds rarely stopping for rest and food. The specific reason these animals migrate so far is widely unknown, although it is assumed for survival or breeding purposes. Some scientists suggest that it s because of the rich [polar] feeding grounds that they travel so far. If the migrations performed by this organism were to stop, the population would decrease rapidly because the temperatures in either one of their habitats will drop so low that they will be outside the Arctic tern s limits of tolerance and the birds would freeze to death. Arctic terns also provide a great source of pest control when they eat insects and worms during their migrations. This would then be lost if the Arctic tern stopped migrating. The Arctic tern has an annual mortality rate of 18%, according to a study in the Farne Islands. Over 50% of the species will live past their 30th birthday, with an average lifespan of 20 years, an anomaly for birds, who normally live between 2 and 5 ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Staying after school for something you enjoy can make it all worthwhile. Baseball, Soccer, Spanish Club, SCA, etc. are all extraordinary activities students stay after school for. J.F.K. s Speech: J.F.K. wanted to do something new while he was president, and in my opinion, that something new was to go to the moon. Kennedy said his speech at Rice University because he wanted the young peoples to tell their parents to help with the rocket payments and stuff like that. In my opinion, the best part of his speech was when he said, ...not because they are easy, but because they are hard. All About the Race: The space race first started in the 1950 s. • 42. The And Pka Values Of Nucleobases NUCLEOSIDE TAUTOMERISM AND pKa VALUES The nucleophilicity of nucleobases (Figure 2.1.1) is dictated by the pKa of the amino and amido functions and their tautomeric forms. Table 2.1.1 lists the pKa values of nucleobases. The amide like nitrogens (N3 of uridine and N1 of guanosine) are acidic in character, whereas the ring nitrogens are basic. Therefore, at strongly alkaline pH, the proton at N3 of uridine and thymidine and that at N1 of guanosine are removed. Under acidic conditions (at pH ~3), the sites of protonation are N1 of adenosine and N3 of cytidine. At more acidic pH, the N7 of guanosine and adenosine and the O4 of uridine are protonated. Thus, all the bases remain mostly uncharged in the physiological range of pH 5 to 9 ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Quite clearly, protecting groups and the protocols for their installation and removal should be designed to avoid various side reactions. Nucleobases undergo substitution reactions with electrophilic reagents. For example, both N and O alkylation of the imide and lactam groups occur with alkylating agents. The N7 position of purines is also a potential site for electrophilic attack (Figure 2.1.5). Because of these competing reactions, simple alkylation of exocyclic amino function is not a viable protection strategy for nucleobases. On the other hand, it is possible to chemoselectively acylate the exocyclic amino group. Thus, acyl type protecting groups are widely used for the protection of the exocyclic amino groups of nucleosides (Figure 2.1.7). The imide/lactam NH of thymidine, uridine (pKa, 9.38), and guanosine (pKa, 9.42) is weakly acidic and can deprotonate under basic conditions. The resulting nucleophilic anion can react with a variety of reagents such as activated phosphates, dicyclohexylcarbodiimide (DCC), mesitylene sulfonyl chloride, 1 (mesitylene 2 sulfonyl) 3 nitro 1,2,4 triazole (MSNT), acid chlorides, phosphitylating reagents, and electrophilic reagents that are employed during coupling reactions.
