Best Car Research Paper
When a teen gets their driver s license, they will sooner or later want to purchase a car. But what is the
best car for your teen that will not only look good to them, but most of all be safe, energy efficient,
and not too expensive. After some research, it seems that the two best car makes are the Toyota and
the Honda. However, does this mean that these cars are the best for a teen to drive? This research
paper will try to figure out which models of cars are the best from each makes while having a price
range of $10,000 to $15,000. What Are You Looking For In A Car? Some common questions that a
parent asks when buying a car for their teen or anyone for that matter are: What is the safest car on the
market? How much does it cost? Should it ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Does that mean it s the best car for you? No. Just look at the Toyota Corolla. This car is cheaper, has
more mileage per gallon, and more air bags than the Honda Accord. On the other hand, the Honda has
a higher safety rating. According to CBS, the Honda Accord is one of the best cars for your teen
because It has enough performance, agile handling, and good crash test results. All models have
standard stability control. ( CBSNEWS 1) Also, according to NBC NEWS, the Honda Accord is the
second best car for your teen. (Paul A. Eisenstein, The Detroit Bureau 1) The Honda is known for its
stable steering and fast acting brakes. We don t want your teen to be speeding down the road when
they are new to the whole driving endeavor but having efficient brakes is important. In my opinion, if
you are willing to pay the extra money, than you should go with the Honda Accord for it is one of the
top best cars for your teen and anyone else especially if they are new to driving. Also, you do not
necessarily have to get the newest model. The used Honda Accord 2007 LX can go for $9,980 which
is lower than the price range stated above. You could still get a Toyota Corolla for it is still on the top
list of the best cars for your teen and it is a very reliable car to learn with or drive as an adult.
However, you might want to consider a used Honda Accord for your first car. Again, it

Seneca Virtue Causes
The Cause and Effects of Virtue
Virtue can be defined as behavior that shows high moral standards. Virtue is a useful quality that can
drastically improve the quality of living for a person. Lucius Annaeus Seneca did not agree with the
idea of the liberal studies being able to give us virtue, he believed that the right way to becoming
virtuous was through doing good deeds and gaining morality in order to become a better person. Once
virtue is gained, it affects the person positively and they are left with many desirable characteristics
such as temperance, wisdom, and loyalty. The cause of virtue is gaining morality and doing good
deeds. When a person gains morality they gain virtue as a result, this is because virtue is a quality that

Because of virtue the person receives many beneficial qualities as a result, three of the most important
being temperance, wisdom and loyalty. Temperance is needed to protect oneself from things that
tarnish the soul and to control one s emotions. Wisdom is needed to teach others and know certain
important things. And loyalty is an important trait for gaining and keeping the trust of people. The
importance of this is that Seneca said that receiving virtue and all the effects is very important, more
so than a liberal education. With all these new traits a person s quality of living will drastically

The Human Brain
Many people do not understand the complexity of the human brain. Just as when one goes to buy a car
they focus on the outside features instead of what is under the hood and how it works. Just as a car has
an engine and other features working the car, the brain has different functions that control not only
your movements, but also the way that you perceive the world. With the brain only weighing around
three pounds it is known to be the best computer system there is. The brain has to communicate with
the senses and muscles in the body and it does that through neurons. The neuron transmits the
information to different parts of the body and is considered a building block of the brain. Neurons
make up the nervous system which performs ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The peripehal nervous system is broken into two brances which include the somatic nervous system
and the autonomic nervous system. The somatic nervous system transmits the messages between the
central nervous system and your sensory organs. It regulates movement, posture and balance. It
contains your sensory and motor neurons. Once messages are transmitted through sensory neurons our
brain can interpret the picture you are seeing in front you you, the food you are tastign and even a hot
flame touching your finger tip. Once the message gets to the CNS it sends messages back through the
motor neuron that controls movements. It has voluntary control. For example, if you touch a flame,
the sensory neuron from your finger tip will send the message that it is hot and your brain will deliever
a message back to move your finger. It happens almost instantly. The other branch which is the
autonomic nervous system controls the internal body processes. You body does these things
automaticallt without having to think about it. Although, you could still have control over some of the
processes, such as breathing. The ANS is broken into two different parts which is the sympathetic
nervous system and the parasympathetic nervous system. The sympathetic nervous system speeds up
bodily processes. It is considred an alarm

Theme Of Oliver Twist
The word money sums up a theme that Dickens has been preoccupied with in many of his novels .
Dickens has studied the nineteenth century commercially oriented England and observed the
corrupting influence of money on members and deplorably , suggesting how material possessions
have become the criterion of evaluating a human being . Dickens s critics are well aware of this
devastating influence . Humphry House confidently tells us that Dickens s plots and characters are ,
constructed round an attitude to money . Social status without it is subordinate . 1 This however , is a
general comment on the Dickensian text . But in Oliver Twist , the theme gathers momentum and
unfolds itself in a manner that attracts our attention , hence its ... Show more content on

With the Victorian novelists , the scope of imagination takes a further step by being regarded as a
shared experience between the artist and the reader . We may do well here by recalling one of Dickens

Christopher uses logic instead of reason when making decisions I had to get out of the house. Father
had murdered Wellington. That meant he could murder me, because I couldn t trust him, even though
he had said Trust me, because he had told a lie about a big thing (Haddon, 122). This shows how
Christopher uses his logic instead of reason. Most people in that situation would know that just
because your dad killed a dog he would not kill you, but Christopher is more worried about trust. This
is because Christopher sees love as mostly, three things, trust, someone who helps you, and someone
who cares about you. Since Christopher doesn t trust his dad anymore he thinks his dad doesn t care
about him and this is logically thinking. This is logically thinking because he used the facts that were
their and added them up as if an equation and made his decision to leave his dad. This is how he
thought logically instead of with reason. The second way Christopher used his logic to his advantage
is when he left his father s house and he went to Mrs. Shears house and he logically thought out all of
his options and made his decision on what he was doing next. [...] I did this by thinking of all the
things I could do and deciding whether they were the right decision or not. I decided that I couldn t go

Okonkwo s Foil
Opposites attract. This is a very cliché quote used by physicists and other scientific personnel, but it
rings true in many different ways. In literature, the correct term for a character that sets off or
enhances another character by contrast is called a foil. Pairs of characters that are foils to each other
have very opposing views and personalities, but their presence with each other illustrates the qualities
in a better light. The book Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe is a fictional novel which includes a
main character named Okonkwo. Okonkwo has some very distinguishing features about him, but the
fact that he has a foil in the novel ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When Okonkwo explains to Obierika how he would strive to have a son like his because he is so
strong and mighty, Obierika answers with a very pacifying response. You worry yourself for nothing,
said Obierika. The children are still very young. (Achebe 66). This passage shows that Obierika is not
so concerned about power and supremacy.
Because of the contrast in Obierika s traits, he is definitely a foil to Okonkwo because Okonkwo is
very strong minded, dogmatic, and hot tempered. If something does not go his way, Okonkwo will do
something very irrational about it. When Okonkwo asked his second wife where his third wife,
Ojiugo, was he became angered because his second wife lied to him about Ojiugo s whereabouts. He
walked back to his obi to await Ojiugo s return. And when she returned he beat her very heavily
(Achebe 29). Okonkwo s rationale of beating his third wife was in very poor judgment because he
beat her during the Week of Peace. The Week of Peace was a week among the tribes where there was
supposed to be no violence. This shows that Okonkwo has a very short temper and he does not tolerate
nearly as much as Obierika can tolerate.
Not only does Okonkwo differ from Obierika in the fact of their personality traits, but Obierika is a
foil to Okonkwo because of Okonkwo s hunger for power. Okonkwo himself was known as the most
powerful man in his village because he threw Amalinze the Cat, who was a great wrestler who had

The Role Of Diplomatic Relations Between Germany And Turkey
However, many historians have debated not only Germany s role in the severity of Armenian
persecution and their motives in involving themselves in the Armenian situation and the, but also their
rationale behind forming a relationship with the Ottoman Empire that began in the 1890s. In March of
2007, Dr. Margaret Lavinia Anderson, a Professor Emerita of History at the University of California,
Berkeley, published an article in The Journal of Modern History, entitled Down in Turkey, far away :
Human Rights, the Armenian Massacres, and Orientalism in Wilhelmine Germany. In this article,
Anderson examines the development of diplomatic relations between Germany and Turkey and, more
specifically, why Germany became interested in the Near East, their motives, and, later, their alliance.
She argues that Germany was mainly focused on developing a strong, influential relationship with the
Ottoman Empire during the Wilhelmine era. An alliance with the Turks would be a joint cooperative
effort to strengthen and modernize the failing Ottoman military and ensure safe passage into
neighboring British colonies for the Germans, still trying to extend their influence beyond the
Ottoman Empire eastward. The Germans sought to accomplish this and create a strong coalition by
adopting a compliant attitude towards Armenian persecution and reiterating the Turkish rhetoric and
belief that the Armenians were getting what they deserved.
Anderson asserts that, in the age of Imperialism and

Banning Of Slaughterhouse-Five
Banning a book is when a person or group takes away a book from the public or a majority group
(Wilson, 844). Books taken from the public are mostly banned for its materials or controversial topics,
however, a handful of novels were able to avoid being taken off shelves. A novel that was able to
avoid this is Slaughterhouse Five, the book is banned in schools around the United States and the
reason for this is sexual situations, violent content, and strong language within the story, but a majority
of schools currently allow it (Paulson, 07A). However, this novel shouldn t be banned because people
have freedom to read, content shouldn t be filtered or controlled and any topic should be free to the
public. The banning of books goes back ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When Billy, the protagonist, explains to the Tralfamadorians how humans are horrible creatures, he
says And I have lit my way in a prison at night with candles from the fat of human beings who were
butchered by the brothers and fathers of those school girls who were boiled ( Vonnegut, 116). Billy
explains what horrors humans do to one another, but he s only laughed at because the aliens consider
that as a stupid joke. As Billy travels in time, the book shifts from morbid scenes to sexual scenes that
leave the reader feeling uncomfortable. One example is Billy on his honeymoon and the author wrote
Across the water were lights of Gloucester. Billy was on top of Valencia, making love to her
(Vonnegut, 118). The story describes the sexual situation until the two characters fall asleep, in
addition to this the profanity in the story can be found on almost every other page throughout the
entire story. The strong language within the paragraphs can be found in the moments Billy is back in
World War 2 as a prisoner. During the train ride to the prison camp, Billy tries to sleep but his fellow
soldiers tell him Not with me, you son of a bitch (Vonnegut, 78). Billy s fears cause him to whimper
while he sleeps, and it cause the other people to hate him for waking them up.

Statistical Data For Forecasting Future Staffing
A wide selection of statistical methods is available for use in Human Resources forecasting. Out of the
many techniques some of the prominent ones include, trend, ratio, and regression analysis methods.
Trend Analysis:
Essentially, trend analysis, looks at previous employment levels against business variables to predict
future staffing requirements. All the more, trend analysis uses historical data for forecasting future
staffing needs. Likewise, trend analysis creates a relationship between past and future staffing needs.
Trend analysis is appliedwhen organizations have data mostly on historical staffing levels with less
detailed information on specific predictions. The breaking down of data into specific time periods of
demand are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A trend analysis allows the human resources department and the owner of the organization to pinpoint
the main causes and issues affecting the rate at which employees leave a workforce and are replaced.
Further, it pinpoints how these actions impact the business. Trend analysis results can help in
estimating the complexity and supply of skills that may be available in the future and from there make
projections about future workforce requirements (Lohrey, (n.d.)..
A trend analysis generates both quantitative and qualitative data outcomes. While quantitative data is
most valuable for making staffing predictions, qualitative data is useful in a diversity of ways. It can
help you discover why employees leave and why they choose to stay. Furthermore, this information
can be crucial in creating employee engagement initiatives that are intended to increase morale,
employee satisfaction and, most of all, productivity. It can also help you determine whether additional
training is required to develop current employee skill sets to improve retention rates (Woltmann
Whitley, 2007).
Moreover, trend analysis is more suited for an existing business because it requires historical staffing
data to make future staffing projections and predictions. Likewise, this generates an association
between past and future staffing needs by connecting the two using a performance or financial metric
called an operational

Summary Of Paul Farmer s Pathologies Of Power
Within this nine chapter, two part book, author Paul Farmer single handedly both analyzed, and
harshly critiqued the central and deeply rooted ideas of poverty throughout the world. In his book,
Pathologies of Power, he tackles the daunting and largely misunderstood topic of poverty to reveal the
ways in which the most basic right the right to survive is trampled in an age of great affluence...
(pg.6). Farmer, is both a professor of medical anthropology at Harvard, a doctor, and a founding
director of Partners in Health, which is a global health organization that is concentrated in the most
poverty stricken areas to bring proper health care to those in need. These positions have allowed him
to travel to some of the most underdeveloped areas in the world, with the largest portion of his time
spent in Haiti. The experiences and observations that Farmer made in these locations provided him
with a foundation of first hand knowledge to come to the conclusion that the inequality toward the

stories to truly show his audience, the issues that we are causing. In doing this, Farmer continuously
called out those in violation of denying these basic human rights, even if they are people of a high

The Issue Of The Environment And Globalisation
The past few centuries have seen such a drastic change in the world in terms of human activities that it
has resulted in an enormously significant change in our planet. For a better understanding, the process
which brings all people and communities across the globe come together to experience a progressively
universal economic, social and cultural environment is called globalisation. Thus, by definition, the
process of globalisation affects everybody throughout the world and also has a significant impact on
the environment. As said by James Arvanitakis (Arvanitakis p.166), the issue of the environment and
globalisation is the most pressing issue facing the world today . Globalisation is thought to be a major
cause behind change of climate that is experienced currently in the world. However, there are those
who support and agree with the notion that climate change actually poses a global risk and those who
do not agree with it. The debate on the extent of climate change being a global risk, which is called
climate change science, is one that is of high interest for various groups in Australia who either agree
with the view or disagree with it for their own reasons and each one has their own arguments
regarding the subject. Global climate change is part of the larger Anthropocene syndrome of human
induced global environmental changes. These include land degradation, ocean acidification, and
disruptions and depletions of the stratospheric ozone concentration, soil fertility,

The Caterpillar Essay
Caterpillars are innocent creatures that have inspired an author to write a piece about their daily life.
In the poem The Caterpillar by Anna Barbauld discusses two themes which are a realistic theme and
the hidden theme. Imagery helps with all the themes present in the poem. One example of imagery is
the silver line that streaks thy back (line 4). The Caterpillar talks about an insect that seems just like
any other insect but the way she writes about it is as if she is glorifying caterpillars. She talks of a
caterpillar as an innocent creature on this earth that can do no harm. The poem then discusses the
unnecessary killing of that innocence. Caterpillars mind their own business and do not mean to harm
anyone while trying to complete their metamorphosis or better known as the butterfly cycle. Killing an
innocent creature simply because they are pests is wrong, especially due to the issue that everything in
the natural world is interconnected. When killing creatures , humans are tampering with nature s
natural cycle because every animal has a specific spot on the food chain.
The upfront theme is the one that many may understand when they read the poem for the ... Show

Barbauld provided an early nineteenth century retrospect of, mainly, the eighteenth century novel,

aspects of novels which many did not understand during her time. Her views on the plot of her books
and various essays are now praised while during her time was not. Morals compared to the real

Brod is among the two most interesting characters in the book (the other being grandfather Safran).

We discover that Yonkel was once a respected moneylender within the shtetl before he was found
guilty of un fit practices and lost his usurers license. This turning point in Yonkel s life changed him
literally. He adopted the name Yonkel in exchange for the name Safran. Safran s wife was very
disappointed when her husband lost his license, and so she ran off with another man, leaving behind a
note that would trouble Yonkel for the rest of his years.
Simply put, the note is the representation of Yonkel s past returning to haunt him. In the same way that
he cannot bear to keep the note, he cannot allow himself to dwell on the unfortunate events of the past
that lead him to this frustrated moment of stasis. If he were to continually ponder everything that went
wrong with his life, he would make himself mad (the beginnings of which become apparent when he
thinks about his wife with the other man). While Yonkel cannot keep the note, neither can he simply
throw it away. There is a small stubbornness in Yonkel s conscience that makes him not want to
outright destroy the note and forget his disgraceful past.
The heart of the matter all comes down to Yonkel s wife, for the note ultimately represents his feelings
about her. Yonkel is experiencing a bittersweet emotion that is trapping him in this stasis: he is angry
at his wife for leaving (his reason to discard the note), but at the same time he cannot simply stop

favor of video games by using the rhetorical strategies of appeal to the authority, appealing to

public s opinion on almost no girls play computer games , he agrees that it is true until the past

Autonomy Against Spain
In Negotiating Spain and Catalonia: Competing Narratives of National Identity, author Fernando Leon
Solis examines the various motivational factors for Catalonia s push for autonomy within Spain. The
author makes a compelling case as to how and why Catalonia is attempting to gain autonomy. Solis
believes that the main motivation for Catalonian autonomy is the conflict over the definition of
Catalan identity, which, Catalans believe, can only fully be established under regional autonomy. Solis
argues that if the Catalan National political party, Convergencia I Unio, can come to an agreement
with the majority party in parliament, Partido Popular, then Catalonia may receive regional autonomy.
Additionally, Solis believes that the Catalans are not seeking national independence, but rather they

how it is beneficial, the average reader may not be able to fully grasp the importance of the 2000

I Am Sam Augment Essay I Am Sam is a film directed by Jessie Nelson, it describes the relationship
between a father Sam who has a mental capacity of a 7 year old and his daughter Lucy. The film
focused on Love and whether love is enough to raise a child. In our modern society it seems that
Money is the golden key to open the door to succuss, even though money covers a significant part of
care that is given to a child. There are still some part of areas that money cannot for fill. Many parents
made the mistake into thinking that a new born child is harder the rise than a ten years old. Which is
not the case in most of the times, whereas older children can develop wilder interest come to a toddler.
A child is learns from their parents and they are lot alike. Where they will grow up and share the same
ideology as everyone around them, which in the child s best interest is to guide them to the right path,
while still giving freedom to the child. Where it was displayed clearly in the film between Rita s son

Yemen.
2. Some of the diffusion of Coffee has to do with Islamic Sufis because the Islamic Sufis began
drinking coffee to keep them awake during the night.
3. By 1700 England becomes the largest consumer of coffee. Coffee becomes known as the drink of
commerce because the merchant class welcomed the drink without any hesitation.

Eleven million captives were actually captured and began their journey from Africa. Most of the

7. They didn t need that many slaves because they didn t grow sugar cane and the slaves that worked
on sugar cane plantations were overworked. The difference between British North America and the
Caribbean s is that in the Caribbean s they tended to overwork their slaves, which in turn made their
death rate increase. But in British North America they didn t want to overwork their salves because if
they did there wouldn t be as many women having as many children; the more children they had the

Essay on Hiroshima, A Journalistic Narrative
In 1945, John Hersey visited Japan on a journalistic trip sponsored by Life Magazine and the New
Yorker to write about Hiroshima and its people. And, of course, the aftermath of the dropping of the
Atomic Bomb. When he returned to the U.S. in 1946, the New Yorker was dedicating an entire
magazine to Hersey s accounts in Hiroshima. The issue s publication on August 31, 1946, caused
America to be in a near chaotic state. Selling out it s entire stock in just a few hours, the New Yorker
was overwhelmed with requests for more copies. The magazine originally sold for 15 cents an issue
was being scalped for 15 to 20 dollars. Even Albert Einstein, who participated in the invention of the

He spends more time than any other character in the book giving aid to those wounded. Later in the
book, it is discovered that he has been affected by radiation sickness. His vitality and energy begin to
slowly deteriorate however his passion to help others does not.
Of the six profiled people in Hiroshima, Rev. Tanimoto was without a doubt the hardest to grasp and
the most complex. His unrelentless hard work seems to have common ground with traditional
Japanese ideals, yet he ironically has the strongest American ties, and he is aware that those ties are
continuously the cause for much suspicion. In the latter part of the book, Rev. Tanimoto is under more
suspicion than foreigners. He constantly feels a drive to prove his loyalty. He, sadly, never receives the
respect from his countrymen that he so badly craves.
Out of all the characters, Rev. Tanimoto undergoes the most drastic post war makeover, as it pertains
to his lifestyle. He travels through the U.S. to get funding and support for a new peace center. Hersey
seems to spend the most time on him and he even ends the narrative by describing an old Mr.
Tanimoto in a comfortable modern lifestyle and home. It is could in fact be deemed a political
allegory for what happens when good intentions, no matter how pure, are mixed with a yearning to
please and bad ways to do it.

The Price of Concussions in Sports
The documentary, The League of Denial examines the issue of brain injuries in the National Football
League. The film devotes most of its attention to the story of Mike Webster, who died at the age of
fifty as a result of severe brain injuries suffered throughout his playing career. Webster s story
highlights the devastating effect concussions can have in a short timeframe. Because brain injuries are
known to develop quickly it is important that the NFL responds quickly to this concussion crisis. The
NFL is the most popular professional sports league in the world: according to Forbes Magazine the
NFL generated over $9 billion in revenue this past year. Despite this success the NFL faces a
legitimate threat against brain injuries and concussions. Although the NFL is popular, they should still
be proactive in their fight against concussions because of the amount of money they generate, the
health of their former players, and lastly the willingness of future athletes to play their sport.
The NFL continues to remain the most lucrative professional league. According to Forbes Magazine
the NFL s 32 teams are worth on average, $1.7 billion, which is more than any other sports league. In
contrast the world s top 20 soccer teams have an average value of $976 million. The NFL has been
successful despite the severe brain injuries that have been suffered by the athletes of their sport. Even
though they continue to generate billions of dollars each year, the NFL is in danger of losing

Smoking Has Changed Through The Years
Smoking has greatly changed through the years. However, if one thinks about, it does smoking control
society in a particular way, or does society control the view on smoking. Through time, one can
discover that there are many examples that may explain this question.
People in the 1960 s thought smoking was considered cool at the time and it was the thing to do. Many
people saw smoking as a symbol of statuses, such as being a hard worker or even an office worker. It
showed that one had class because you were a refined person with a good paying job (White,
Cameron,Oliffe, Bottorff). In many cases, smoking was considered beautiful for a women to smoke, in
addition to her daily beauty routine. It was also associated with a strong, hardworking, and handsome
man who all the woman would try to get a date with.
Many people were misled by the cigarette companies who claimed that their cigarettes were easy on
the throat. The cigarette companies labeled the cigarette cartons with a picture of a man in a white lab
coat that represented a doctor. They also printed on the cartons that they asked your doctor if it was ok
to smoke, but in reality, they did not (Gardner, Martha, Brandt). This marketing scheme worked very
well to mislead people in believing that cigarettes were healthy for you. Since people see Doctors as
intelligent people and are professionals in their respective field and studied medicine for years, people
believe them undoubtedly.

Familial Alzheimer s Disease (FAD)
Familial Alzheimer s Disease (FAD) is a form of mental deterioration characterized by the formation
of amyloid plaques around neurons in the brain. While there appears to be multiple ways general
Alzheimer s Disease (AD) can develop, FAD is a rare type of AD that can be acquired hereditarily. Of
all general Alzheimer s cases, around 1 5% are FAD specific, which translates to about 50,000 to
250,000 people (Strobel). Children of people who have acquired certain genetic mutations linked with
FAD have been shown the potential of inheriting these mutations and developing FAD as a result.
Mutations in the presenilin proteins (PSEN1; PSEN2) or in the amyloid precursor protein (APP) have
been shown to be linked with FAD. PSEN1 is most prominently ... Show more content on

However, due to the rapid change of scientific knowledge and medical technology, an argument can be
made against this by saying diseases are more easily avoided if treated at early formative stages in life.
For example, today there is Clustered Regularly Interspaced Short Palindromic Repeat (CRISPR)
technology which is a genetic engineering tool used to target cells and change DNA sequences by
cutting and replacing nucleotides. At this point in time, it can be difficult to target specific cells so this
technology is still developing and improving. FAD affects brain cells, and so in order to treat this
disease with CRISPR, a virus like technology would need to be created to specifically target brain
cells, and be sure to reach all of them. This being said, it would be much easier to reach every brain
cell in a child as opposed to a fully developed adult brain. In this case, predictive screenings should be
available to children once technology such as CRISPR allows for a way to prevent and treat genetic
diseases.
A combination of predictive screening and genetic engineering technology would allow for
descendants of FAD affected adults to be diagnosed way before symptoms develop and remove the
malignant mutations from the genome completely. Rapid technological advancement has allowed for
FAD to be detected, and hopefully with further advancement,

Essay about Preschool Learning Centers
Early childhood is a time full of curiosity, exploration, creativity, excitement, and rapid development.
During these formative years, children develop attitudes about education that remain with them for the
rest of their lives (Kostelnik, Soderman, Whiren, 2011). High quality early childhood education
programs and highly effective, passionate teachers or care providers will not only promote young
children s development and academic achievement but will also foster a lifelong passion for learning.
ECE programs and educators utilize learning centers to contribute to young children s acquisition of
literacy, numeracy, creative thinking, problem solving, and motor skills as well as a number of other
skills and knowledge (Jarrett, 2010). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Children at this age also have different skills related to numeracy. Fostering numeracy skills in early
childhood education not only predicts for later Math achievement but also for greater literacy skills
(NAEYC, 2009). Since mathematical concepts are often intertwined with so many areas such as
science, literacy, dramatic play, block building, and more, math learning centers offering
interdisciplinary materials and activities ensure that young children grow to understand and appreciate
the real life applications of mathematical concepts (Fu, 2010).
Four year olds are still very much learning through the use of their senses (Blaustein, 2005). As well,
some children may have special needs concerning sensory processing and integration (Ayers, 1994).
Children with sensory processing disorders range from over responsive, under responsive, to sensory
craving (Ayers, 1994). Nonetheless, every person encounters a plethora of sensory stimuli each day
and must take in information and integrate it with prior knowledge to make meaningful responses
(Ayers, 1994). Multisensory centers provide young children with and without special needs with the
opportunity to seek out sensory stimulation, acquire sensory integration and motor skills, learn coping
skills, and understand basic scientific concepts (Blaustein, 2005).

The Merriam-Webster Definition Of Cosmogony
The Merriam Webster definition of cosmogony is: a theory of the origin of the universe. Now this
seems simple. As long as there have been humans on Earth we have looked back to find some
meaning to our existence. The simple fact is that we are a forever curious species, and we are driven
by a need to understand the world around us. However, for most of our history, we have lacked the
means of observing enough of space to truly understand our origins, so we created gods to explain
things we couldn t understand. As our understanding of the universe changed, so, too, did these gods.

to have an understanding of what personal branding is. Fortunately, it s possible to take a look at the
way many successful people have used personal branding to get a feel for what it is and how it can
work for you.
Personal branding is something that has been done by a number of well known people. Some of the
most well known among them are:
* Oprah Winfrey. Think what you will about Oprah s personality, but from the time that she branded
her show with her own name and aired a number of her personal struggles in a public way to the time
that she launched her magazine, her book club and the talk show careers of Dr. Phil and Rachael Ray,

Economic Inequality In Business
Inequality in businesses has been a rising problem that has affected our nations society for decades.
Economic inequalities are often referred to as an individuals certain position connected to the persons
income, and wealth. Inequality is how individuals are treated differently and in the business sense this
means by obtaining a job, different income scale and even overall economic level itself. So many
years have passed since slavery, woman rights, and stock market crashes that one might think times
and equality have been squashed. Yet, times have not changed and the problem is still monstrous.
Racial inequality is a continuous problem that has plagued businesses since slavery. Gender inequality
has been ongoing due to societies views on woman roles. Social class differences of high class reaping
all the benefits has always existed since even the 1920s. But the ethnic background, or the gender of
an individual can also relate to the economic inequalities and position held within a company. We have
this inequality threatening different races, genders, and social classes of the business industries.
Inequality in business should be greatly taken into account due to the jeopardization of race, gender,
and social class. Business inequality is threatening the increase of race controversies around the world.
As Al Sharpton often says, we have come a long way from the days of slavery, but in 2014,
discrimination and inequality still saturate our society in modern ways. Its existence is undeniable
(Sharpton 1). Sharpton is an American civil rights activist who attended Brooklyn College. If we look
at just the business spectrum, we see that inequality exists between race; in particular among the
blacks and whites. This is apparent in businesses across the world the discrepancy between the top
business executive of blacks and whites is staggering and so is the disparity between yearly wages and
promotions. According to the 2013 survey of Consumer Finances, business ownership is associated
with a $252,100 increase in wealth for whites, but a $84,523 increase in wealth for African Americans
(Herring 4). Cedric Herring is a professor of sociology at the university of Maryland. He has been a

Essay on The Tale of Genji by Murasaki Shikibu
Being a student interested in the field of biology, one knows that studying life in the past plays an
important role in the history of organisms that lived on this earth. Similarly, being Japanese, studying
the past of how Japanese were plays an important role in Japanese history. Despite all the general
aspects of life that have changed from the Heian period, the one idea that has definitely not changed is
the romantic relationships between a man and woman. Though the general concept is the same, from
reading The Tale of Genji, it is what was considered the ideal woman and ideal man that were both
surprising and thus worth discussing. Written around 978 by Murasaki Shikibu, The Tale of Genji,

However, as To no Chujo pointed out (Shikibu 21), women that are high rank, have a lot of people that
serve them and make them look better than they are so that a man cannot really know what kind of
personality she may have. Middle rank women on the other hand, have less hidden about her, and so
one can tell what kind of woman she is. This is probably because middle rank women do not have as
much pressure to look good as high rank women have and because they are not expected to be as
great. Thus in this way they are not pampered as much and in a sense show their true colors. From this
it can be concluded that the ideal woman if it were possible, would be someone that was high rank, but
also had a good personality that was not just made to seem good but her servants. For a woman to
have a good personality is definitely an understandable character, but what constituted good
personality and character? The Chief Equerry, an older man with more experience in matters with
women in comparison to To no Chujo and Genji, explained that the woman s main duty is to look after
her husband and the household (Shikibu 23). Thus the ideal woman would be one who was educated
and smart enough to take care of the household including preparing a fresh set of clothes after her
husband returns from journey, and keeping the house tidy and clean. She should not have to ask her
husband for every little thing that needs to be done because that would just waste

Anheuser Busch wanted to target because that generation can afford to spend $18 on a 24 pack of beer

  • 2. Best Car Research Paper When a teen gets their driver s license, they will sooner or later want to purchase a car. But what is the best car for your teen that will not only look good to them, but most of all be safe, energy efficient, and not too expensive. After some research, it seems that the two best car makes are the Toyota and the Honda. However, does this mean that these cars are the best for a teen to drive? This research paper will try to figure out which models of cars are the best from each makes while having a price range of $10,000 to $15,000. What Are You Looking For In A Car? Some common questions that a parent asks when buying a car for their teen or anyone for that matter are: What is the safest car on the market? How much does it cost? Should it ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Does that mean it s the best car for you? No. Just look at the Toyota Corolla. This car is cheaper, has more mileage per gallon, and more air bags than the Honda Accord. On the other hand, the Honda has a higher safety rating. According to CBS, the Honda Accord is one of the best cars for your teen because It has enough performance, agile handling, and good crash test results. All models have standard stability control. ( CBSNEWS 1) Also, according to NBC NEWS, the Honda Accord is the second best car for your teen. (Paul A. Eisenstein, The Detroit Bureau 1) The Honda is known for its stable steering and fast acting brakes. We don t want your teen to be speeding down the road when they are new to the whole driving endeavor but having efficient brakes is important. In my opinion, if you are willing to pay the extra money, than you should go with the Honda Accord for it is one of the top best cars for your teen and anyone else especially if they are new to driving. Also, you do not necessarily have to get the newest model. The used Honda Accord 2007 LX can go for $9,980 which is lower than the price range stated above. You could still get a Toyota Corolla for it is still on the top list of the best cars for your teen and it is a very reliable car to learn with or drive as an adult. Lucius Annaeus Seneca did not agree with the idea of the liberal studies being able to give us virtue, he believed that the right way to becoming virtuous was through doing good deeds and gaining morality in order to become a better person. Just as when one goes to buy a car they focus on the outside features instead of what is under the hood and how it works. Just as a car has an engine and other features working the car, the brain has different functions that control not only your movements, but also the way that you perceive the world. With the brain only weighing around three pounds it is known to be the best computer system there is. The somatic nervous system transmits the messages between the central nervous system and your sensory organs. It regulates movement, posture and balance. It contains your sensory and motor neurons. Once messages are transmitted through sensory neurons our brain can interpret the picture you are seeing in front you you, the food you are tastign and even a hot flame touching your finger tip. Once the message gets to the CNS it sends messages back through the motor neuron that controls movements. It has voluntary control. For example, if you touch a flame, the sensory neuron from your finger tip will send the message that it is hot and your brain will deliever a message back to move your finger. It happens almost instantly. The other branch which is the autonomic nervous system controls the internal body processes. You body does these things automaticallt without having to think about it. Dickens has studied the nineteenth century commercially oriented England and observed the corrupting influence of money on members and deplorably , suggesting how material possessions have become the criterion of evaluating a human being . Dickens s critics are well aware of this devastating influence . Humphry House confidently tells us that Dickens s plots and characters are , constructed round an attitude to money . Social status without it is subordinate . 1 This however , is a general comment on the Dickensian text . But in Oliver Twist , the theme gathers momentum and unfolds itself in a manner that attracts our attention , hence its ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... We may do well here by recalling one of Dickens s approaches to involve the reader in the narrative action through his use of humour which becomes a connective agent . In The Life of Charles Dickens , Forster defends Dickens s humour in terms of its effect on us : To perceive relation in things which are not apparent generally , is one of those exquisite properties of humour which brings us all upon the level of ... Despite the stigma concerning autism and Aspergers, Christopher s condition proves advantageous on his journey. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Christopher uses logic instead of reason when making decisions I had to get out of the house. Father had murdered Wellington. That meant he could murder me, because I couldn t trust him, even though he had said Trust me, because he had told a lie about a big thing (Haddon, 122). This shows how Christopher uses his logic instead of reason. Most people in that situation would know that just because your dad killed a dog he would not kill you, but Christopher is more worried about trust. This is because Christopher sees love as mostly, three things, trust, someone who helps you, and someone who cares about you. Since Christopher doesn t trust his dad anymore he thinks his dad doesn t care about him and this is logically thinking. This is logically thinking because he used the facts that were their and added them up as if an equation and made his decision to leave his dad. This is how he thought logically instead of with reason. The second way Christopher used his logic to his advantage is when he left his father s house and he went to Mrs. Shears house and he logically thought out all of his options and made his decision on what he was doing next. • 8. Okonkwo s Foil Diana DeBernardis, 5 Mr. Rosenberry Honors English 11 December 19, 2012 Okonkwo s Foil Opposites attract. This is a very cliché quote used by physicists and other scientific personnel, but it rings true in many different ways. In literature, the correct term for a character that sets off or enhances another character by contrast is called a foil. Pairs of characters that are foils to each other have very opposing views and personalities, but their presence with each other illustrates the qualities in a better light. The book Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe is a fictional novel which includes a main character named Okonkwo. Okonkwo has some very distinguishing features about him, but the fact that he has a foil in the novel ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When Okonkwo explains to Obierika how he would strive to have a son like his because he is so strong and mighty, Obierika answers with a very pacifying response. You worry yourself for nothing, said Obierika. The children are still very young. (Achebe 66). This passage shows that Obierika is not so concerned about power and supremacy. Because of the contrast in Obierika s traits, he is definitely a foil to Okonkwo because Okonkwo is very strong minded, dogmatic, and hot tempered. If something does not go his way, Okonkwo will do something very irrational about it. When Okonkwo asked his second wife where his third wife, Ojiugo, was he became angered because his second wife lied to him about Ojiugo s whereabouts. He walked back to his obi to await Ojiugo s return. And when she returned he beat her very heavily (Achebe 29). Okonkwo s rationale of beating his third wife was in very poor judgment because he beat her during the Week of Peace. The Week of Peace was a week among the tribes where there was supposed to be no violence. This shows that Okonkwo has a very short temper and he does not tolerate nearly as much as Obierika can tolerate. Not only does Okonkwo differ from Obierika in the fact of their personality traits, but Obierika is a foil to Okonkwo because of Okonkwo s hunger for power. Okonkwo himself was known as the most powerful man in his village because he threw Amalinze the Cat, who was a great wrestler who had ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In March of 2007, Dr. Margaret Lavinia Anderson, a Professor Emerita of History at the University of California, Berkeley, published an article in The Journal of Modern History, entitled Down in Turkey, far away : Human Rights, the Armenian Massacres, and Orientalism in Wilhelmine Germany. In this article, Anderson examines the development of diplomatic relations between Germany and Turkey and, more specifically, why Germany became interested in the Near East, their motives, and, later, their alliance. She argues that Germany was mainly focused on developing a strong, influential relationship with the Ottoman Empire during the Wilhelmine era. An alliance with the Turks would be a joint cooperative effort to strengthen and modernize the failing Ottoman military and ensure safe passage into neighboring British colonies for the Germans, still trying to extend their influence beyond the Ottoman Empire eastward. The Germans sought to accomplish this and create a strong coalition by adopting a compliant attitude towards Armenian persecution and reiterating the Turkish rhetoric and belief that the Armenians were getting what they deserved. Books taken from the public are mostly banned for its materials or controversial topics, however, a handful of novels were able to avoid being taken off shelves. A novel that was able to avoid this is Slaughterhouse Five, the book is banned in schools around the United States and the reason for this is sexual situations, violent content, and strong language within the story, but a majority of schools currently allow it (Paulson, 07A). Billy explains what horrors humans do to one another, but he s only laughed at because the aliens consider that as a stupid joke. The strong language within the paragraphs can be found in the moments Billy is back in World War 2 as a prisoner. A trend analysis allows the human resources department and the owner of the organization to pinpoint the main causes and issues affecting the rate at which employees leave a workforce and are replaced. Further, it pinpoints how these actions impact the business. A trend analysis generates both quantitative and qualitative data outcomes. While quantitative data is most valuable for making staffing predictions, qualitative data is useful in a diversity of ways. It can help you discover why employees leave and why they choose to stay. Furthermore, this information can be crucial in creating employee engagement initiatives that are intended to increase morale, employee satisfaction and, most of all, productivity. It can also help you determine whether additional training is required to develop current employee skill sets to improve retention rates (Woltmann Whitley, 2007). The Issue Of The Environment And Globalisation The past few centuries have seen such a drastic change in the world in terms of human activities that it has resulted in an enormously significant change in our planet. For a better understanding, the process which brings all people and communities across the globe come together to experience a progressively universal economic, social and cultural environment is called globalisation. Thus, by definition, the process of globalisation affects everybody throughout the world and also has a significant impact on the environment. As said by James Arvanitakis (Arvanitakis p.166), the issue of the environment and globalisation is the most pressing issue facing the world today . Globalisation is thought to be a major cause behind change of climate that is experienced currently in the world. However, there are those who support and agree with the notion that climate change actually poses a global risk and those who do not agree with it. The debate on the extent of climate change being a global risk, which is called climate change science, is one that is of high interest for various groups in Australia who either agree with the view or disagree with it for their own reasons and each one has their own arguments regarding the subject. In the poem The Caterpillar by Anna Barbauld discusses two themes which are a realistic theme and the hidden theme. Imagery helps with all the themes present in the poem. One example of imagery is the silver line that streaks thy back (line 4). The Caterpillar talks about an insect that seems just like any other insect but the way she writes about it is as if she is glorifying caterpillars. She talks of a caterpillar as an innocent creature on this earth that can do no harm. The poem then discusses the unnecessary killing of that innocence. Caterpillars mind their own business and do not mean to harm anyone while trying to complete their metamorphosis or better known as the butterfly cycle. Killing an innocent creature simply because they are pests is wrong, especially due to the issue that everything in the natural world is interconnected. These movies, more often than not, have severe gender stereotyping. Men are never seen doing women s work and the women are rarely ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The protagonist, Snow White, plays a minor role in the entire storyline, falling under the shadow of the evil queen who truly drives the tale with her jealousy. The queen, who is Snow White s mother, was given a beautiful daughter whose lips were blood red, whose skin was snow white, and whose eyes were ebony black, but whose beauty would eventually drive her into a jealous rage. Snow White s actions begin when the queen tasks a huntsman with killing the seven year old child and returning with proof of her death. Here Snow White s desire for survival becomes clear. She begs the huntsman to spare her life, promising to run away and never return. The huntsman allows her to disappear into the forest and the inner strength of Snow White comes to light. Terrified of being alone, she runs through the woods for the entire day. Before sunset, she runs across the home of the dwarf s. Knowing that the little men are still out in the mine, she enters the small, yet neat and tidy, abode. Snow White only eats and drinks a small amount from each plate setting before falling asleep in one of the small beds. When the dwarfs return from working in the mines, they notice the minor disturbances in the house and finally discover the beautiful girl asleep in the last bed. • 33. Essay about Preschool Learning Centers Early childhood is a time full of curiosity, exploration, creativity, excitement, and rapid development. During these formative years, children develop attitudes about education that remain with them for the rest of their lives (Kostelnik, Soderman, Whiren, 2011). High quality early childhood education programs and highly effective, passionate teachers or care providers will not only promote young children s development and academic achievement but will also foster a lifelong passion for learning. ECE programs and educators utilize learning centers to contribute to young children s acquisition of literacy, numeracy, creative thinking, problem solving, and motor skills as well as a number of other skills and knowledge (Jarrett, 2010). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Children at this age also have different skills related to numeracy. Fostering numeracy skills in early childhood education not only predicts for later Math achievement but also for greater literacy skills (NAEYC, 2009). Since mathematical concepts are often intertwined with so many areas such as science, literacy, dramatic play, block building, and more, math learning centers offering interdisciplinary materials and activities ensure that young children grow to understand and appreciate the real life applications of mathematical concepts (Fu, 2010). Four year olds are still very much learning through the use of their senses (Blaustein, 2005). As well, some children may have special needs concerning sensory processing and integration (Ayers, 1994). Children with sensory processing disorders range from over responsive, under responsive, to sensory craving (Ayers, 1994). Nonetheless, every person encounters a plethora of sensory stimuli each day and must take in information and integrate it with prior knowledge to make meaningful responses (Ayers, 1994). Multisensory centers provide young children with and without special needs with the opportunity to seek out sensory stimulation, acquire sensory integration and motor skills, learn coping skills, and understand basic scientific concepts (Blaustein, 2005). • 35. The Merriam-Webster Definition Of Cosmogony The Merriam Webster definition of cosmogony is: a theory of the origin of the universe. Now this seems simple. As long as there have been humans on Earth we have looked back to find some meaning to our existence. The simple fact is that we are a forever curious species, and we are driven by a need to understand the world around us. However, for most of our history, we have lacked the means of observing enough of space to truly understand our origins, so we created gods to explain things we couldn t understand. As our understanding of the universe changed, so, too, did these gods. The Enlightenment in the Modern era was the first time that God was brought into question. The Church had too much power, people wanted freedom, and religion was ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 38. Economic Inequality In Business Inequality in businesses has been a rising problem that has affected our nations society for decades. Economic inequalities are often referred to as an individuals certain position connected to the persons income, and wealth. Inequality is how individuals are treated differently and in the business sense this means by obtaining a job, different income scale and even overall economic level itself. So many years have passed since slavery, woman rights, and stock market crashes that one might think times and equality have been squashed. Yet, times have not changed and the problem is still monstrous. Racial inequality is a continuous problem that has plagued businesses since slavery. Gender inequality has been ongoing due to societies views on woman roles. Social class differences of high class reaping all the benefits has always existed since even the 1920s. But the ethnic background, or the gender of an individual can also relate to the economic inequalities and position held within a company. We have this inequality threatening different races, genders, and social classes of the business industries. Inequality in business should be greatly taken into account due to the jeopardization of race, gender, and social class. Business inequality is threatening the increase of race controversies around the world. As Al Sharpton often says, we have come a long way from the days of slavery, but in 2014, discrimination and inequality still saturate our society in modern ways. Its existence is undeniable (Sharpton 1). Sharpton is an American civil rights activist who attended Brooklyn College. If we look at just the business spectrum, we see that inequality exists between race; in particular among the blacks and whites. This is apparent in businesses across the world the discrepancy between the top business executive of blacks and whites is staggering and so is the disparity between yearly wages and promotions. According to the 2013 survey of Consumer Finances, business ownership is associated with a $252,100 increase in wealth for whites, but a $84,523 increase in wealth for African Americans (Herring 4). • 39. Essay on The Tale of Genji by Murasaki Shikibu Being a student interested in the field of biology, one knows that studying life in the past plays an important role in the history of organisms that lived on this earth. Similarly, being Japanese, studying the past of how Japanese were plays an important role in Japanese history. Despite all the general aspects of life that have changed from the Heian period, the one idea that has definitely not changed is the romantic relationships between a man and woman. Though the general concept is the same, from reading The Tale of Genji, it is what was considered the ideal woman and ideal man that were both surprising and thus worth discussing. Written around 978 by Murasaki Shikibu, The Tale of Genji, regarded as the world s first ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, as To no Chujo pointed out (Shikibu 21), women that are high rank, have a lot of people that serve them and make them look better than they are so that a man cannot really know what kind of personality she may have. Middle rank women on the other hand, have less hidden about her, and so one can tell what kind of woman she is. This is probably because middle rank women do not have as much pressure to look good as high rank women have and because they are not expected to be as great. Thus in this way they are not pampered as much and in a sense show their true colors. From this it can be concluded that the ideal woman if it were possible, would be someone that was high rank, but also had a good personality that was not just made to seem good but her servants. For a woman to have a good personality is definitely an understandable character, but what constituted good personality and character? The Chief Equerry, an older man with more experience in matters with women in comparison to To no Chujo and Genji, explained that the woman s main duty is to look after her husband and the household (Shikibu 23). Thus the ideal woman would be one who was educated and smart enough to take care of the household including preparing a fresh set of clothes after her husband returns from journey, and keeping the house tidy and clean. She should not have to ask her husband for every little thing that needs to be done because that would just waste ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 40. Advertising Campaign For Advertising Campaign Information Bud Light launched an advertising ad on their product that caused bad public relationships through its customers and non customers. On April 28, 2015 Bud Light released a new slogan to their product (Brown, 2016). The new slogan that Bud Light put on their product stated, Take No Out of Your Vocabulary Tonight . Bud Light released this slogan because they started a campaign #Upforwhatever in May 2012 (Brown, 2016). The campaign was advertised and geared towards the younger generation to try new things. The movement of this campaign was to encourage people to get out of their personal bubble and try new adventure. This was geared towards the younger generation because that is who Anheuser Busch wanted to target because that generation can afford to spend $18 on a 24 pack of beer and would not break the bank for college students. Another reason that Anheuser Busch wanted to target that generation because they are all on social media and advertising is shifting that way. The #Upfowhatever movement was to gain new business through new customers and corporations (Hughes, 2015). The campaign was already two years old and has inspired millions of consumers to engage with that hashtag to get out and try new adventures (Hughes, 2015).
