So…  Why  did  I  write  this  thing?   •  Healthcare,  Nursing,  Medicine,  etc…  is  and  always  has  had  a   connecMon  to  technology.   •  Clinical  EducaMon  no  longer  does  a  very  good  job  of  preparing   students  for  entry  into  pracMce.   •  Many  teaching  faculty  and  staff  are  enMrely  unprepared  to  leverage   available  technology  like  game-­‐based  learning  and  simulaMon  in  a   way  that  is  meaningful  and  translaMonal   •  Today’s  students  have  a  host  of  expectaMons  about  how  technology   should  be  integrated  into  their  curricula   •  Using  technology  for  the  sake  of  technology  is  almost  always  a  failure   that  leaves  students  and  teachers  frustrated  and  unhappy   ©Bauman  2012  All  Rights  Reserved
