This document contains the findings from my personal DISC assessment completed on November
6, 2014, along with feedback from my team summarized in a Leadership Scorecard in order to
raise my own self awareness and provide me with the tools to complete a Personal Leadership
Development Plan for professional growth.

The second part of the self assessment will introduce and evaluate professional feedback which
will be summarized within a Leadership Scorecard. Finally, this formal self assessment will be
carefully examined and used to create personal leadership goals.
Section 1: Self Awareness
In order to be a successful leader, I need to be able to recognize environments that will make me
successful. By understanding my natural preferences and limitations, I can pursue the right
opportunities, in the right way, at the right moment, and get the results I want.
As a result of taking the DISC Assessment, I found that my primary natural style is I
(Influencing, Inspiring) and my secondary style is S (Stabilizing, Steadiness) which I found to be
very accurate. My natural behaviors are relationship focused. Although, I have some flexibility to
operate within the C style (Compliant, Conscientious), the most difficult development zone for me
is the D style (Dominant, Directing) and will require a deliberate change in behavior and a great
deal of energy as I fall in the lower level of this style.

As an Inspirer, I am able to socialize easily, I like to use humor to make people feel comfortable
and don t mind being around strangers. I like to have fun and am good at building relationships

1.Overview of the Balanced Scorecard Organisations, in order to increase performance, profitability,
efficiency and to gain a competitive advantage, will benefit from a good strategic performance
measurement system to ensure that lower level managers are acting in a way that is consistent with
top managers goals and whole organisation s strategy. One the dominant system is the balanced
scorecard framework (Hill, Jones Schilling, 2015, p.376). The Balanced Scorecard (BSC) is defined
as a tool that translates an organisation s mission, objectives and strategies into performance

Tim Blanning wrote a book called The Pursuit of Glory in which he discusses revolutions that
made modern Europe. Mark Greengrass wrote a book called Christendom Destroyed in which he
discusses topics as evidence Christendom has broken apart between the years 1517 1648 in Europe.
The meaning of Christendom is unity in the landmass of modern Europe. Mark Greengrass alludes
to the idea that one can see that Christendom broke apart through evidence of change in
demography and social patterns of now modern Europe. Blanning discusses revolutions in

While extremely beneficial, this tool can also become a hindrance when supplies are not restocked
or are placed in the wrong location. Another important member of this floor is the charge nurse who
acts as a liaison between patients, nurses, shifts, and hospital administrators. The charge nurse does

like to find out what the value of accreditation is, what it takes to become accredited, maintain
accreditation, and why some degrees from accredited institutions are not recognized by other

According to an article written in the New York Times, and quoted in a higher educationwatchdog
website, scores of students are dropping out of the University of Phoenix, the largest chain of for
profit colleges in the country, fed up because their academic experiences bear no resemblance to the
promises that were made to them by duplicitous recruiters. Most of these students are leaving
hugely indebted. Contributing to the poor graduation rate, current and former students who studied
at University of Phoenix campuses or online complained of instructional shortcuts, unqualified
professors, and recruiting abuses (Burd, 1). There are some business organizations that do not
recognize them as a credible education system. For example, I worked for the insurance company
Geico, and they offered tuition reimbursement if you attend an accredited university. However
because of their unorthodox style of teaching, and not being a traditional four year university, they
did not recognize them as a legitimate university and would not reimburse any tuition.

diagnosed with Alzheimer s disease. Alzheimer s disease is an irreversible neurodegenerative
brain disorder that slowly destroys memory and thinking skills. Alzheimer s disease was first
discovered by a German physician named Alois Alzheimer in 1906. It all started in 1887, when
Alois Alzheimer graduated from Wurzburg with a degree in medicine. A year after graduation,
Alzheimer spend months helping mentally ill women in a mental asylum known as Frankfurt
Asylum and began his research on the pathological anatomy of the cerebral cortex. In 1901, Dr.
Alzheimer started to closely observe one of the patients named Auguste Deter. She was a 51 year
old women who showed strange behavioral symptoms along with short term memory loss. Auguste
s husband wanted to move her to another mental institution because he couldn t afford Frankfurt
Asylum anymore. Alois Alzheimer would help her stay in the Frankfurt as a trade to receive her
medical records and brain once she dies. Auguste Deter died on April 8, 1906 at the age of 55.
