Homelessness has proven to be a stubborn community issue in Utah, so much so
that it was listed as one of Utah s top ten priorities by the Utah Foundation. This is
due to the fact that, according to the Department of Workforce Services, nearly
15,000 people are considered homeless (continuous homeless for one year) as of
2015. The homeless population, in addition to having no stable home, faces a range
of challenges in both their health and social situations. These issues include
substance abuse, mental health disorders, criminal records, and extended periods of
unemployment. Despite the state providing funding for housing, particularly with
House Bill 436 of 2016, these issues will certainly impede the ability of these people

that of 18th century garments. The frilled cap was probably a Bavolette which was
a ribbon frill at the back of the bonnet. Its purpose was covering the neck, which was

advancement in genetic technology. You mentioned how scientist are able to change
the genetic makeup of living things. Another key point presented in your article is the
idea of cloning, where one is therapeutic while the other is reproductive. The article
discussed that the advancement in technology and genetics should only be used to
benefit people. However, you believed that using these advancements in the wrong
way can leave a long term consequence to the present and future of the human society.

I agree with your opinion in how genetic technology could leave a negative impact to
our society. I believe the idea of genetic engineering is not natural. We have no idea of
the harm that could result from this technology. Genetic engineering is another step
in giving humans their desires. I believe that altering the DNA of any life form is not
just. Genetically manipulating a life form could put an imbalance in nature and
society. No one should have the right to manipulate the genetics of other life forms.
The idea of genetic engineering is be consider unethical because it is enforcing animal
cruelty. Furthermore, I am appalled that some parent choose their child s appearance,

the unknowns. When a solute is dissolved in a solvent, the vapor pressure of the
solvent is lowered. As a result of the decrease in the vapor pressure, the colligative
properties change.

The Weeping Camel is a film made to look like a documentary, it follows the life of
a family in Mongolia. Through the movie, we can see into the lives of a family that
is so different from ours. The film focuses on teaching the audience about the
Mongolian culture through a mixture of reality and drama. The filmtechniques used in
The Weeping Camel set apart this movie from others as a cinematic masterpiece.
The values that are shown in The Weeping Camel greatly differ from common values
in Australia. The family believes in generosity. This is shown as when travellers pass
through, they are given a meal and company. The film demonstrates the this is
common practice throughout that area of Mongolia as when the two children travel a
long distance. They are greeted along the way by kind people who allow them to
watch their television and eat their food.
The relationship between tradition and modern is an underlying theme in this movie.
The children are shown coming into contact with technology they have not seen
before and being astounded by it. AT the end of the movie the family bought a
television, this shows how they are excepting technology into their everyday life. I
believe that the filmmakers were trying to make a statement, that there is no reason to
distinguish between traditional and modern, These technologies are just different
aspects of different peoples lives.

Officially given its name on the fourth of November 1952, the National Security
Agency was developed to ensure the safety of American citizens (Howe 11). In an
effort to prevent any unauthorized spying on innocent civilians a court known as
FISA was created in 1978 to regulate the NSA. Up until the events of September 11th,
2001, the NSA was used strictly as a tool for foreign investigation to decipher

three days after the Twin Towers fell, President Bush passed the Patriot Act (
Timeline of NSA Domestic Spying 16). This act ushered the NSA into a position of
limitless capability. Millions of Americans are having their personal lives followed,

information is in strict violation of the Fourth Amendment. Immediate action must be

the Constitution.

What It Means To Be A Black Belt Becoming a third degree black belt was always
my wish. I may have not put all of my effort into it, but I started trying my best
realizing that I should be a role model for others around me. Being a black belt
means to set up a good example. Younger belts look up to you and do what you do.
If you fool around, the lower belts fool around, if you talk and be lazy, they talk
and are lazy. You have to be responsible of knowing all the one step sparring s and
forms. When you make a mistake in a form, the lower belts copy you make the

If you work hard and the instructor, master, or grandmaster notice that you work

if you do not work hard. You should not be sloppy in your form and keep your hand
that you are not using to your waist. If you work hard when you do forms or
sparring and not be lazy, you deserve that belt because you were not lazy and
worked hard for your belt. The more darker color of your belt, the more knowledge
you have. The black belt means you have the most knowledge because black is the

has a belt ceremony, you should show patience even though there are too many
