Q1. This tells me the majority
of people (9/10) who
answered were my target
audience.
Q2. This tells me that most of
the people who answered
were my target audience
males. 1 answer was from a
female which suggests that a
small number of females will
read the magazine.
I have had a range of
answers. The most
popular was
dance/house but there
was lots of different
types of rock which
people liked which
focuses around my
magazine.
9/10 people recognized my magazine as Rock which was the intention which tells me I have
shown my genre well through the use of codes and conventions. One said heavy metal which
is a genre similar to rock and a genre mentioned in my magazine.
The main image was the most popular answer which is good because this is supposed to attract
the audience from a distance.
Half said “NO” which pleases me because that means they like the look of it. The other criticism was
of the image and so if I did it again I would make the subject bigger and make him lighter so the
page isn't as dark.
The contents page layout answers were positive and the main thing that stood out was that it was
clear and easy to read which is good as this makes the audience want to read it.
The images were the favourite part from my results which is what I expected as the images make the page look
interesting.
A range of answers for this as there was improvements to made on colour as it was to plain, font size too small
and not enough images.
9/10 responses spoke about the image or something in the image like one of the member or the clothes. These
are positive to hear as the image is what should have attracted the audience because its visually interesting and
instantly tells the audience the article is on that band.
The main dislike was the amount of writing. Many people didn't like and didn't’t want to read that much.
They would have preferred less writing and the image bigger. This helps me understand that the article may
have been to long.
9/10 said yes that the front cover and contents attracted them to the double page spread. This tells me that the pages
have done their job.
Nobody said no to this answer so most people would buy it and some would maybe which tells me that my magazine is
enjoyable to read if the audience would purchase it.
