Audience
Feedback
I created a questionnaire of 10 questions to ask my target audience.
these questions included facts based on my music magazine. Doing
this questionnaire will help me understand what my audience like
about my magazine and what they don’t.
Question 1- Would you buy
this magazine?
In this question I asked whether my
audience would buy my magazine
after they looked at the front cover,
contents page and double page
spread. 17 of my audience members
said yes, and 4 said no. this shows that
the majority of my target audience
would buy my magazine which shows
that it is successful.
Question 2- What do you think
about the name of the magazine?
Next I asked my audience what they think of
the name of the magazine so that I would
know whether they'd pick it up if they saw it
in a shop. In my first questionnaire the
majority of the audience voted for the name
‘Pulp’ so I used it. Over half of my audience
member like the name of my magazine so I
think it is a successful name which will appeal
to my audience.
Question 3- Does the artist on
the cover attract you?
14/21 members of my target audience
agreed that the artist on the cover
attracts them this tells me that my
artist relates to the theme of my
magazine and the magazine will stand
out to my audience after seeing the
artist on the cover.
Question 4- Do you like the
photography in the magazine?
The photography in my magazine is
important as it attracts the
audiences eye to make them want to
read my magazine. 16/21 members
of my target audience said they like
the photography in my magazine.
This is a good result as it shows that
my photography in my magazine was
done well.
Question 5- Do you like the
colour scheme within the magazine?
The colour scheme is an important
aspect of my magazine as it reflects
the genre of my magazine and
attracts the audience from a far. My
results show that I lot of member
from my target audience like the
colour scheme of my magazine so I
believe it is successful.
Question 6- Do you think all of
the pages in the magazine work together?
It is important that all of the
pages in my magazine work
together so that the pages flow
and look like they are from the
same magazine. 11/21 people
said that the pages work
together. This is not the best
results, however I do agree that
the pages could flow better by
making sure that the colour
scheme is consistent throughout
the magazine.
Question 7- Would you read the
double page spread article?
I wanted to find out whether my
audience would be interested in
reading my double page spread
article. My results show that the
majority of my audience would,
this is good as my article is a
major part of my magazine.
Question 8- does the image on the
front cover suit the genre of the
magazine?
It is important the image on my front
cover suits the genre of my magazine so
that the genre is clear to the audience, as
the image is the first thing they see. A lot
of my audience agreed that the image
did suit the genre of my magazine.
However some disagreed. I think that my
image does suite the genre of my
magazine well. Making it suit the genre
more I could have had my artist hole an
electric guitar instead of an acoustic to
convey the genre of rock further.
Question 9- Is the price (£2.50)
suitebale for this magazine?
A lot of members of my target
audience agreed that the price I
chose is suitable for my magazine,
however some disagreed. The
problem with this question is that
I do not know whether my
audience think the price is too
high or too low, I should have
specified in the question.
Question 10- What improvements
could be made?
An important question to ask my audience is whether they have any improvements I could make. The
majority of my audience answered. Two of my results say that the pages could flow together better, I
think this is definitely a weak point in my work which could have been improved. Also some of my
feedback said that my magazine is not rocky enough, this could have been changed. Getting this
feedback from my audience helped me understand what improvements I could make.
