1. Question 3- What have you
learned from your audience
feedback?
Magazine Advert
2. Why did I conduct audience feedback?
• For this element I conducted audience feedback through another
questionnaire.
• I asked my audience 8 questions to establish what they thought out
my magazine advert.
• This is an effective way of analysing data because I was able to collate
all the information and draw conclusions from this.
4. Question 1: Do you think my magazine
advert matches the theme of the digipak?
• 100% of my participants said that my
magazine advert matched the theme of the
digipak.
• This is really promising because I wanted my
texts to have an obvious link between them.
I used similar colours and fonts, as well as
taking my images in the same location.
• The most obvious link is probably that the
magazine advert cover and the digipak
cover are the same image, but the magazine
advert shows more of the performers body.
5. Question 2: Do you feel as though the digipak,
magazine advert and video link together?
• 100% of my participants said that
they though the digipak and
magazine advert and video link
together.
• This is good because one of the aims
was to have all my texts linking
together because this acts as synergy
and is also effective marketing.
6. Question 3: Do you like the use of direct address
on the front of the magazine advert?
• 100% of my participants said yes.
• This shows that direct address works
and makes the audience connect with
the performer, adding to the star image
so that the audience see the artist more
as an image and not a real person.
7. Question 4: Do you think the text font and colours
work well?
• 100% of my participants agreed that the
font and the colours work well together.
• I wanted the text to stand out against the
background so that this was easy for the
audience to see, especially on the magazine
advert.
• This is because the information is telling the
audience how they can access the tracks as
well how and when they can buy the
album, including which hit single is also
available to purchase, so the text should
make it as easy as possible for the
audience.
8. Question 5: Is the front the correct size?
• 100% of participants said yes.
• This is promising because I looked
at a wide variety of real texts and
all sizes are different and it is
literally dependent on what looks
best with the photograph.
• I am happy that I managed to get
this element correct, as it helps to
make the magazine advert look
professional.
9. Question 6: Do you think the model portrays a 'pop
star' image?
• Again, 100% of my audience said
that the model does portray the
'pop star' image.
• I am happy that he does because
this is the look I was going for.
• I think that having direct address
adds to the pop star image and he
also has perfectly smooth skin
which adds further to the pop star
image.
10. Question 7: Do you think the design of the magazine
advert is too simplistic?
• For this question, 100% of my
participants said no.
• This is really good because I was
worried that just displaying an
image of the performer and
having basic text wouldn't be
interesting for the audience.
• However, this audience feedback
has shown that sometimes
simple is best.
11. Question 8: Is there anything you would
improve?
• The only feedback for
improvement I received was that
Nathan's shirt shouldn't be
crumpled. I do agree with this
however I didn't realise that it
was crumpled when I took the
photos.
• If I were to retake this image, I
would definitely make sure that
it wouldn't be crumpled.
