many learning styles to help them accomplish the task.

o Second Life: Students will get on Second Life and take a

assessment for this Unit Plan.
2. 4. U- Utilize the Media and Materials:
Before class, I will pull up Instagram and prepare for discussions. I
will then pull up Second Life and prepare to teach the students how to
make an avatar. I will also pull up the blog website and prepare to tell
them about their final assessment.
5. R- Require Student Participation
Each day I will be teaching on Physical, and Cognitive Development.
Every technology used will talk about development in a certain way.
Some technologies will require student participation because they will
be used for assessments. I will start the class by talking about and
discussing the Web 2.0 assignment. We will look at the child’s pictures
and differentiate between the different types of development. Then
the students will make a Second Life and make an avatar about what
they would want to look like as an adult. They will make a snapshot of
it. Near the end of class, they will be assigned to make a blog about
what they have learned about development. They must name one fact
about teach stage of development and can include facts about
cognitive development as well. This will be their final assessment for
the Unit Plan.
6. E- Evaluate and Revise
Students will be evaluated by their answers to discussion questions
and their information on their blog. They will be able to differentiate
between the different types of development and will be able to name
3. facts about the different stages. Their assessments for the entire Unit
Plan are made up of Facebook, two WebQuests, Web 2.0, and a Blog.
