 The first 15 minutes of class the lesson will be presented to students. They will all
participate in creating a class blogger about the United States presidents.
Students will present prior knowledge of presidents out loud in class and all data
will be collected on the class blog. At the end of the whole lesson the class with go
over the blog and correct wrong information.
 BLOG
 After blog discussion students will observe a picture that was created using
photoshop and students must figure out what the main point is in the picture. It is
a picture of the founding fathers and other important people who help create the
constitution and sign the constitution.
 Students will be presented to the Abraham Lincoln voki.
Students will be given time in class to create their own
voki. It will not be for a grade but to introduce students
with new technology.
 Students will access twitter with the use of
computers in schools computer lab. Students
will be assigned to follow the president of the
United States. President Barack Obama.
Students will work in groups and must find
three interesting facts about the presidents,
once all information has been found students
will create their own PowerPoint that consists
of the information they found. Links and
pictures must be provided along with the
information found.
 Students will begin to find QR codes around the classroom and playground that
will take students to links about the United States presidents. Each student will
find each a QR, find his or her president he or she is assigned to and class will
meet back into the classroom. Once students have finished their QR code activity
they will watch a youtube video.
 This YouTube video will be presented to class

 Students will get into new groups. Students will log onto webquest to finish the
taks.

Once students finish their webquest they will log onto the class’s facebook page and
leave a comment about their experience on webquest

 Students must browse through pinterest to find activities they would like to do in
class. Students will also create their own podcast. Students will get into group to
complete podcasts. The podcasts will be a story told about one of the presidents.
While students make podcasts they must also go to glogster.com to create a poster
that will go along with their podcast.
 Students will go through Assure PowerPoint created by the teacher
 Students will have free time in class to play second life. They can create an avatar
and go speak to other students in the class and give them information about the
United States presidents. Each student will have to guess which President the
other student (avatar) is. Monitoring of students will be very close in this
assignment.
 Students and teacher will also make a web design that shows all the assignments
and activities each student has learned and created.
 The end of the school day the students will go back over their blog and correct
wrong information.
 Students will be evaluated on work ethic, ability to work a computer, and ability
to work in groups.
 Students will receive credit for each assignment to complete.
 If a student does not finish an assignment they will receive no credit and an
appointment would be made with the student and teacher to discuss the matter.
