Students are new immigrants to the United States who will likely learn best through auditory and kinesthetic methods due to potential visual impairments. Objectives are for students to recognize and categorize 4th of July activities by listening to lectures, participating in traditional foods, songs, and discussions to compare American and Russian cultures with 70% accuracy within 3-5 days. Methods will include teacher lectures, group activities, listening to songs on YouTube and radio, and sharing traditional foods. The classroom will be arranged to allow group work and filled with smells and sounds of typical 4th of July foods and music.
