Wednesday Assure
A. Analyze Learners---Students are 11th
graders in an advanced placement U.S. History course.
These students are 16 to 17 years old. There are 10 male students and 12 female students. Of
those students 7 are Hispanic, 5 are transfer students from England, and 10 Caucasian. Some
students are kinesthetic learners while others are visual.
S. State Objectives---Students will recognize and describe events that shaped Great Britian
motives in the war and their military prowess by: working through my WebQuest, exploring
through pintrest and exploring with QR codes. This information will reinforce prior knowledge
and provide a foundation of information that will lead up to the war itself with 90% accuracy
within the school day.
S. Select Methods, Media, Materials---The methods used for this day will be projects via
WebQuests, Pintrest, and then through exploring QRs linking to YouTube. Materials needed
will be access to the internet and a smartphone.
U. Utilize Media and Materials--- After initial review of Tuesday via discussion, students will be
assigned to work on their projects through WebQuests, Pintrest and QRs. Desks will be set up in
a circle or group setting to allow group participation and discussions.
R. Require Learner participation---Students will be required to be involved with their projects
and encouraged to work collaboratively as well as encouraged to ask questions about anything
interesting or confusing to the individual. Participating in these projects will allow students to
have a variety of methods to help learn the material. Lastly, there will be informal exit slip to
assess the students’ retention from the discussion. Projects assigned will be assessed as well to
look at application.
E. Evaluate and Revise---To assess the students I will observe each students input during the
discussion and observe the assigned projects to observe the students’ application. Throughout the
week I will assign projects and use auditory questionnaires to see if progress is being made. At
the end of the week the students will be assessed through their assigned projects.
