The lesson plan aims to teach 5th graders about Native American life, both historically and in the present day. Students will create a Pinterest board compiling pins that illustrate different aspects of Native American culture presented during the week. For their final assessment, students will use the information on their Pinterest board to create a visual project demonstrating their knowledge with 100% accuracy. The teacher will evaluate the lesson based on student participation and success, revising it as needed.

1. Friday:
A- Analyze Learners - The learners for whom this lesson will be for are 5th graders of
different sexes and backgrounds with differences in cultures. I assume that at their ages
there will be a basic knowledge of Native Americans and some preconceived ideas. The
issues in this lesson plan may be the bias that is already established in each student by
what they feel they already know.
S- State Objectives-The objectives for this lesson is that each 5th grade student will
assimilate the knowledge obtained and compile a Pinterest page that has pins that will
link to or illustrate each aspect of native American life both historically and present day
that were previously presented, the page will then be used to create a Final visual
project using any of the technologies used during the week as a final assessment with
100% accuracy in the facts and details.
S- Select Methods, Media and Material- Students will make a Pinterest account and
create a board for Native American research.
U-Utilize Media and Materials – Podcast will be prescreened for accuracy and
instruction on utilization of podcast software.
R-Require Learner Participation- All final project will be delivered by each student to the
class so they are able to learn from each other.
E-Evaluate and Revise- After the completion of the lesson it will be reviewed based on
Student participation and success and revised accordingly.
