The Two Most Interesting Jobs

Marketing Paper
The two most interesting jobs I discovered through my research is Market Research Analyst and
Customer Service Representative. They require educational experience that is a level apart in
difficulty. They are in contrast in that one helps the firm and the other helps the firm s customers. The
jobs involve working together with people so that both sides are happy in the end. Their salaries differ
as a result of their educational needs for each job. They both have a growing need for people in the
future to work in said field. However, that need is not very great.
The educational requirement is not hard to get for a person who 18 to 22 years of age. The educational

There are also many industries in which you can find a job (Pros and Cons of a Marketing Research
Analyst). Lastly, the job opportunities available may continue to be plentiful in a weak economy (Pros
and Cons of a Marketing Research Analyst). The cons of a Market Research Analysts are that they
have strong competition for job opportunities for people that have graduated with a bachelor s degree
in an undergraduate program (Pros and Cons of a Marketing Research Analyst). The second con is that
the schedules may be stressful due to deadlines (Pros and Cons of a Marketing Research Analyst). The
third con is that you can be required to work overtime (Pros and Cons of a Marketing Research
Analyst). The Customer Service Representative also has its own set of pros and cons. The first pro of
the job is that you only need a high school diploma in order to be qualified for the job (Pros and Cons:
Customer Service Representative). The second pro is that the employer provides on the job training
(Pros and Cons: Customer Service Representative). The third pro is that there are good job
opportunities due to the need to replace workers (Pros and Cons: Customer Service Representative).
Then, there are some cons to being a Customer Service Representatives. The first is that work can be
repetitive because they may have the same questions asked each day (Pros and Cons: Customer
Service Representative). The second con is that you have to deal with

Analysis Of Northrop Frye s Wake Me Up When September Ends
Most people in the time of misery turn to depression and sadness, while few artistic minds can take
those difficult feelings and turn them into a moving piece of art. This is what Billie Joe Armstrong did
for one of their most remembered songs Wake Me Up When September Ends. Northrop Frye s
thoughts in his writing The Archetypes of literature can be related to this song as well. Such ideas
include how different seasons can portray contrasting meanings, and how symbolic references are
used throughout the passage to tell a story. All these ideas are supported in the song that Billie Joe
Armstrong wrote.
For starters, the background of the song is important to understand where the Green Day singer, Billie
Joe Armstrong, is coming from. When he was 10 years of age, his father died in 1982 during the
month of September due to cancer. The day of the funeral, Armstrong couldn t stand the pain that he
was experiencing and locked himself in his room. After his mother ran after him in hopes to comfort
his misery, he simply told her to wake him up when September ends. This song regarding his father s
death came out 20 years after the incident. It clearly states this in the song Like my father s come to
pass Twenty years has gone so fast. This song was written to describe his experience through this
disturbing time in his life.
In the very first few lines to the lyrics of Wake Me Up When September Ends, it states Summer has
come and passed, The innocent can never last. This relates

The Importance Of Animal Poaching
In this day alone, three rhinoceroses will be killed for the trading of their horns and an estimated one
hundred Asian elephants will be killed for their ivory, meat, and body parts. ( African Rhinos (n.d)
Goodall , J. 2017) Animal Poaching the illegal act of killing animals for profitable body parts has been
the reason for the near extinction of many species, including elephants, tigers, rhinoceros, and lions.
Scientists and concerned citizens of society need to come together to obliterate this illicit cartel.
Specific animals like elephants, tigers, lions, and rhinoceroses should be preserved because of their
roles within their respective ecosystems. Elephants, the ¨mega gardeners of the forest, are essential to
the transportation of seeds that maintain tree diversity. When we lose elephants, full extinction is
estimated to occur by 2020, we lose not only the species but their ecological role (African Elephants
face extinction, 2008). The wise leaders of past lives, elephants used to settle debates of the forest and
create vital watering holes for smaller animals as the noble masters in fables told by African natives.
When poaching finally takes the last living elephant due to selfishness, many African countries lose
both a species, and a culture. Tigers walking gold to poachers are worth a fortune on the black market
for their beautiful fur coats and bones, used for a delicate Chinese wine (Guynup, S., 2015). The last

Persuasive Essay On Changing The Date Of Australia Day
Nearly every country features a special day where they celebrate their nation as an entire country and
the 26th of January is the day that we Australians celebrate Australia day. We have been doing this for
the past more than 200 years. Changing the date of Australia day has been a debate brought up every
year in January. In a recent poll, the results show that most Australians don t care what date Australia
day is held on as long as there is still a day where us Australians celebrate together as a whole. So,
why do people feel the urge to change this date? There are many reasons why Australia day should be
changed to a day that represents Australia more.
The 26th of January is the day of the first fleet, but it was too the day that the intrusion begun. This
day is seen by a few individuals as the day of mourning . This is because this day is when the first
nation people had lost their land, alongside being persecuted by the settlers and numerous other issues
that go with it. Plus, 26th January truly implies nothing to Australia as an entirety. They are not really
celebrating the events that occurred on that day, it is what happened ... Show more content on

However, is the 26th January really the first day foreigners have ever set foot on this island? No, in
fact, a whole week in advance, some men landed on the Sydney s Botany cove but afterwards found it
not comfortable for them to settle, hence, they then migrated to another little cove which is presently
known as the Sydney Harbour. Since it wasn t indeed the exact day that the British landed on
Australia, then why celebrate it on this day? We think that this day should be changed because there is
no reason why we should keep it on this day if it has no specific reason to stay and doesn t represent
anything we would be proud

My Experience Of High School Experience In Middle School
When I was in middle school, I was on the quiz bowl team. The tournaments were nonchalant, the
questions were manageable, and the teams all competed to have a good time, not just to advance. Due
to the enjoyable nature of my middle school experience, I decided that I would brave the unknown
murky waters of high school scholars bowl. I was under the assumption that it would be the same for
the most part; however, this assumption was severely misguided. Strolling into the classroom for my
first day of practice, I realized I was surrounded by people who seemed to be far more knowledgeable
than me. A prime example would be Macy Davis. Sitting at the front of the room, Mr. Kucharik was
manning the buzzer system. Frightened because I was a young naïve freshman, I hesitantly sat down
as rumor led me to believe that Mr. K despised freshman. The practice was not at all what I expected
and was demanding to say the least. Asking us impossible college level questions, Mr. Kucharik
seemed to love watching us struggle; furthermore, the man was sadistic as he transitioned from
questions such as What kind of clouds produce thunderstorms? to questions about novels that I d
never even heard of. After attending several practices, at which I performed horribly every morning,
we finally participated in our first tournament of the year. My first time ever leaving the school with
Mr. Kucharik did not go the way I hoped it would. For example, when we first arrived in the parking
lot outside of

Ideological Bias
Many researchers have attempted to determine whether the media in the United States has an
ideological bias; however, the topic is still up for debate and is likely to stay that way because the
answer lies under a huge never ending pile of data that takes a lot longer than a week to collect.
Learning about the ideological bias that is or is not present in American media is important in
understanding the impact that the news has on people and policy change. In the report evidence has
been collected during a week long content analysis of two prominent national news outlets that does
little to support the idea that media has an ideological bias, rather it provides information that may
prove the opposite, that the media s ideological bias is exaggerated and possibly non existent. The
small data set demonstrates significance; however, further research is necessary.
Throughout the course of Mass Media and Politics we have learned about how the news is made, who
makes the news, why certain things are news, and how the news impacts the public. One underlying
question that remains is about the bias that the news presents or if there is a bias at all. The debate
about the bias in national news is a pressing one that many may not be aware of; however, its
importance is crucial to our ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Carbon Nanotubes On The Delivery Of Pharmaceuticals
NANOTECHNOLOGY
Carbon nanotubes in the delivery of pharmaceuticals in medicine

The most clinically effective treatments for cancer were ironically incredibly detrimental to the human
body s health. These included, chemotherapy and radiation. These two methods did in fact destroy the
malignant cells yet also caused apoptosis in healthy cells damaging them beyond repair and thus
causing a great detriment to the patients health. However, recently, due to the endeavours of
nanotechnology, it has been discovered that carbon nanotubes can effectively carry anti cancer drugs
destroying the malignant cancer cells without damaging the healthy cells, in other words, the ... Show

Nanotechnology is the design, characterisation, production and application of structure, devices or
systems by controlled manipulation of size and shape at the nanoscale. (Nanomed, 2005) This should
produce a structure or device with at least one new or superior characteristic. The nanoscale is less
than 100nm. CNTs have shown a great deal of potential use as nano carriers for delivering anti cancer
drugs directly to the sight of action. However, CNTs must be functionalized, as pure CNTs are
difficult to incorporate into biological structures due to their insolubility and their tendency to bundle
up. There are two main ways to functionalize CNTs yet the best method is by oxidation leading to
carboxyl based couplings. The tube caps openings are created and holes in the side wall form by
process of oxidation involving strong acids. These carboxylic group allow covalent coupling with
other molecules by amide or ester bonds (see figure 2.1) as a result, CNTs can be conjugated with anti
cancer drugs. It is a benefit to functionalize CNTs as functionalized CNTs have been shown in many
studies to be able to cross cell membranes (Pantarotte et al.) this means that CNTs can now be used to
deliver anti cancer drugs into direct cells.
Now that CNTs can be used in biological structures, there are three methods of incorporating the drugs
to the CNT. These are by attachment of the drug to the outer surface; covalent or non covalent
bonding. Or, loading the CNTs

Annotatory Tract Infection Paper
Every year a familiar scene plays out in clinic waiting rooms, chairs filled with miserable patients
waiting to see their physician with complaints of a never ending cough and a constant nasal drip. More
than likely, these patients will receive a prescription for antibiotics, but should they? Most acute
respiratory tract infections (ARTIs), do not require an antibiotic, the symptoms will resolve
themselves over time without antibiotic treatment. Healthcare experts and scientists have warned the
public about the dangers of overusing antibiotics, and there are thousands of studies to support that
fact, but no one is listening. Patients are convinced they need to have antibiotic treatment, and
somehow their time is wasted if they leave empty ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The authors of the study are confident that their quality improvement approach can be successfully
replicated in other family practice clinics. The methods used by the project could be easily
implemented, the materials from the CDC s Get Smart about Antibiotics are inexpensive and readily
available. The article does suggest that their study may have a serious flaw, called the Hawthorne
Effect. The Hawthorne Effect or an observer effect acknowledges that both physicians and patients
were fully aware they were participating in a quality improvement project. The project would have
been more efficient if the participants were unaware they were being evaluated. When individuals
believe they are not being observed the results tend to be more trustworthy. Ultimately, the project
proved its hypothesis and educated individuals about the risks of overusing antibiotics. Eventually,
patients and physicians will learn to be cautious, and let viral infections run their natural

How Teams Of Organizations Develop Into Cohesive Teams
The manner in which people interact in groups professionally impacts the productivity of each
member as well as the organizational climate. Few professions require an employee to work
independently of others. Instead, we must work as a part of a team. Understanding how teams of
people interact in the accomplishment of tasks are critical to management teams. In this article,
Farrell, Schmitt, and Heinemann (2001) gathered from a sample of 111 interdisciplinary health care
teams in geriatrics in 34 Veterans Affairs medical centers in the United States to test team
development theories.
The process in which groups develop into cohesive teams was at the center of the article. Farrell,
Schmitt, and Heinemann (2001) noted that frequently, teams are plagued with repeated conflicts, low
morale, and poor task performance. Many theorists have argued that, before an interdisciplinary team
can establish the open communication, flexibility in leadership, and coordination of efforts necessary
for effective functioning, it must pass through a sequence of developmental stages (281). Farrell,
Schmitt, and Heineman (2001) referenced Tuckman and Jensen s group development stages in which
they refer to the stages as (a) testing and dependency, or the forming stage, (b) conflict, or the
storming stage, (c) cohesion and consensus, or the norming stage, and (d) functional role relatedness,
or the performing stage (p. 282). During their study, the thesis that they attempt to

Sweat By Zora Neale Hurston Summary
What Goes Around Comes Around
The astonishing work of fiction, Sweat , by Zora Neale Hurston, captures the ultimate importance of
people receiving what they truly deserve. The storyline of Hurston s Sweat encompasses karma as the
theme in numerous, yet diverse ways. Hurston uses the snake to bring about karma in Sweat . She
depicts the negative connections to snakes such as fear, evil, immorality, night and slyness. While also
linking the snake to positive symbols, such as rejuvenation and independence. This theme only
became overt in the story through the lens of the protagonist, Delia, an African American launderer
who is married to Sykes. He constantly taunts her about her phobia of snakes and attempts to kill her,

Major Structures Of The Eye
A) Major structures of the eye include the cornea, pupil, iris, lens and retina. The cornea is responsible
for the focus and entrance of light. The pupil, an adjustable opening, decides the measure of light that
enters the eye. The light s brightness effects the size of the pupil meaning it will either expand or get
smaller. The iris plays a role in size as it regulates the amount of light by controlling the size of the
pupil. The lens is an aspect of the eye that is located behind the pupil. The function of this part of the
eye is to focus light on the retina. The retina is comprised of receptors called rods and cones. The
reason for the retina is to get light that the focal point has centered, change over the light into neural
motions, and

The Weaknesses Of Marcus Brutus In Shakespeare s Julius...
At the end of William Shakespeare s Julius Ceasar, it was Marcus Antonius that said upon Marcus
Brutus death, This was the noblest Roman of them all... . I would have to agree with that statement for
many reasons. Though, what I ve seen as his strengths, there are some that also serve as his
weaknesses. Brutus lives by a strict moral compass and code of ethics entwined with a rigid sense of
idealism. All of which are great virtues but are also deadly flaws. Brutus acts out of a desire to limit
the self serving aspects of his actions. Ironically, however, in each instance, he dooms the very cause
that he seeks to promote, which does no one any good. Also, his commitment to principle repeatedly
leads him to make mistakes. In the play, where

Kierkegaard
Kierkegaard, in Works of Love uses 1 Cor. 8:1 Love builds up as a starting point to discuss how love
can be discussed.
He begins his discussion by recognizing that to build up is a transferred expression that has both a
general and spiritual meaning. In the general sense, Kierkegaard says that to build up is to construct
something from the ground up into the heights (201). It is not just to build, but to build from the
foundation, from the ground, up. He provides the example of the parable of the wise and foolish
builders, the one of whom builds his house without a foundation while the other does build from the
foundation up. A key part of what to build up means to Kierkegaard is that it is built on something, a
foundation. This is what he means when discussing to build up in the general sense. ... Show more

This, as with all sins, separates them from others and from God. Fairlie describes pride as puffed up,
stuck up, stiff necked...superiors...aloof (Fairlie 41). It is when the soul is inordinately pleased with
itself (Fairlie 41). Love as building up helps combat the sin of pride in a person because it forces the
prideful to acknowledge that there is love in other people, placed there by God. If the person who has
a tendency toward pride makes this presupposition about others, then it becomes difficult to maintain
the sin of pride. The presupposition of love in another affirms that they too are a person of value, and
this alone helps to combat pride, which considers others as less than. Acknowledging another s worth

Evaluate The Role Of Tnc
There are so many ways to evaluate the role of TNCs, and how they shape and contribute to the
economy. Before all this one must understand what globalization is and why it is very important to
TNCs. Globalization is simply the integration of culture, trade, natural resources and factors of
production between nations. But, economic globalization refers to increasing economic
interdependence of national economies across the world through a rapid increase in cross border
movement of goods, services, technology and capital (Shangquan, 2000). The main key players are
transnational corporations (TNC) sometimes known as multinational corporations (MNC).TNC s are
firms that have attained the power needed to co ordinate and operate across the boundaries of many
nations. Usually the main purpose of TNCs is to maximize profit and increase their selling market.
This is why many TNCs are interested in globalization because without an effective and free trade
global economy, many (if not all) will not be able to function and be successful. Some economist feel

to the major colonizing and imperialist ventures from Western Europe, notably England and Holland
(Greer and Singh, 2000). However, the structure of transnational corporations we know today did not
really begin until the early 19th century. It is around this time that the development of factories, more
capital intensive manufacturing processes; better storage techniques; and faster means of
transportation were developed. Also the search of natural resources such as gold, diamond, sliver,
petroleum, and even some foodstuffs as well, brought about the need to increase markets and this
drove transnational expansion by companies almost exclusively from the United States and a handful
of Western European nations (Greer and Singh,

While a great deal of crimes go unreported in the United States, by far the most common is sexual
assault. While this crime is usually associated with women being the victims, men can also be

fault that the crime happened. The majority of these victims are attending college, and are on campus
when the crime takes place. A multitude of colleges in the past have been pushing sexual assault cases

Different Theories Of Development Throughout The Lifespan...
The purpose of this paper is to explore the different themes and theories of development throughout
the lifespan and challenges of the characters within the movie There Will Be Blood . Although
maturation was the theme held by many theorists in the past as the reason for development, modern
developmentalist continue to study the development even though it confronts other significant themes.
However, theories of development have varied over time as well as the approach taken by each of the
developmental theorist. These theories have two functions, they comprehensively integrate knowledge
to account for the development process and provide behavioral predictors for testing. This paper will
examine the relationship of Albert Bandura, Urie Bronfenbrenner, and Mary Ainsworth s theories and
how they are applicable to the development of different individuals as they transitions through stages
of their life s and how these theories could be beneficial during counseling and interventions.
Movie Overview
The movie There Will Be Blood (Sellar, Anderson, Lupi, 2007) starts in the year 1898, in the middle
of nowhere, with Daniel Plainview (Daniel Day Lewis) all alone vigorously chiseling away in a chasm
he considers a mine, trying to find silver ore while keeping his shotgun near him. He soon uses
dynamite to blast the rock and while climbing down he falls and breaks his leg, yet he finds what he is
looking for, Silver ore. He then drags himself out of the mine and to surveyor s

Comparing Night And Life Is Beautiful
You will always define events in a manner which will validate your agreement with reality (Maraboli
). Maraboli s statement explains that the way each person tells their story is defined by how they see
reality. The truth of this can be seen in the differences between the book Night (2006) by Ellie Wiesel
and the movie Life is Beautiful . Both stories depict the life of a young man sent Auschwitz with their
father during the Holocaust. However, despite the similarities of their circumstances at camp, the main
characters have two radically different descriptions of what the Holocaust was like. Each character
saw the events around him in a different light, therefore, his interpretation of what happened is
completely different. In the novel Night and the movie Life is beautiful, the Holocaust is portrayed
both similarly and differently through the father/son relationship, the debate between ... Show more

In Life is Beautiful the audience is given feelings of hope and joy, while in Night readers are given
feelings of despair. For example, when Joshua is liberated, he believes that he has won a game and
received a tank as a prize. The movie ends when he finds his mother and is overjoyed to see her again
( Life is Beautiful, 2000). The movie , while showing the struggles of the Holocaust, focuses on the
positive moments and ends with a happy reunion to leave the audience with hope. When Ellie is
liberated, on the other hand, he is sick and only thinks of how hungry he is. The book ends when Ellie
looks at himself in the mirror and says, From the depths of the mirror, a corpse was contemplating me
(Wiesel, 2006, p. 115). Night ends with a reminder of how the Holocaust damaged so many people
forever. Despite the similarities of their circumstances, Joshua and Ellie s stories are framed in

Parental Leave Benefits
Two of the parental leave policies that I find especially generous are offered by Netflix and Microsoft.
I feel that Netflix s offering of paid leave for new mothers or fathers for an entire year after the baby s
birth is especially generous because most companies only offer a few months of maternity leave and is
not necessarily paid, and many companies offer a couple weeks of paternity leave paid if any at all.
Microsoft was especially generous when they nearly doubled their paid leave to twenty weeks for
women who had just given birth. I find this generous because on average many women only get up to
12 weeks unpaid leave.
There is a question that workers will take parental leave benefits because workers may think that

She mentions that she planned to work throughout the pregnancy and take limited time away like she
did with her son. The contradictory statement happens against Yahoo, who lengthened their parental
leave in 2013. This is said to be contradicting because she is a leader within the company who offers a
good amount of parental leave and if she does not take it herself than those coworkers beneath her are
more likely not to take it.
I do agree that there is contradictory signaling going on to a certain extent because if workers of
Yahoo see their boss not taking the leave the company offers the other workers do not want to
disappoint so they will not use the leave either. On the other hand, everyone lives their own life and
should make decisions that will best benefit them and their family and not base it off someone else.
I do not believe that there is a significant difference in the statements because the first statement is
read as take all the time you need, so when that person is ready to come back they should. With the
other statement of we ll see you in 12 weeks , I read that as in 12 weeks your job will still be there
even if you take the full 12 weeks. I feel as with either statement you could use the full 12 weeks or
come back when you are

Examples Of Daisy Buchanan In The Great Gatsby
On the other hand, Daisy Buchanan, the epitome of the aristocratic social class, was born into the
glory and prosperity that people wish to achieve in their dreams, and thus represents the passion the
Old Money class lacks by never having to chase an American Dream. In comparison to Myrtle s
vitality, Daisy is deficient in her devotions to strive towards a particular dream. After marrying Tom,
the values of the Old Money aristocracy led her to believe that there was nothing else she could
achieve because she had already fulfilled her role in society. Daisy s voice, her inexplicable charm, is
full of money (120); her prestigious persona is literally a representation of her wealth and social class.

The nouveau riche class as a whole is characterized by Fitzgerald as moths among the whisperings
and the stars (39) in the way that the people are drawn toward things that tend to kill them. Their
determination for upward social mobility has led them to fulfill their American Dream, but only to the
extent of established wealth. A rebellion against aristocratic social conduct leads to criticism and
intolerance from the aristocratic community, leading to an unfulfilled destiny of true social mobility.
Although some of the nouveau riche class accept this distinction from the aristocracy, Gatsby s dream
and passion is nevertheless unfaltered by their judgments. As he grew up in poverty, James Gatz s
innocence and enthusiasm in his dream of social mobility rapidly evolved into a desperate obsession
with the aristocracy. His Platonic conception of himself manifested in the ideal man of Jay Gatsby that
only exists in the mind of James Gatz. Gatsby s imagination led him to believe that his American
Dream was a promise that the rock of the world was founded securely on a fairy s wing (99). Nothing
in comparison, even the harsh and bitter burdens of reality, can ever outweigh Gatsby s strength and
passion for his American Dream. Although

Lethal Injection
Lethal injection is now almost the main method of execution in the US, with all but one of the 39
executions carried out during 2013 being by this method. Deadly injection changes from state to
state.Normally, the prisoner is strapped to a gurney or a fixed execution table, rather than an operating
room table by leather or webbing straps over the body and legs. All the chemicals used in the USA are
standard medical drugs. Sodium thiopental is an ultra short acting barbiturate which was used widely
as an anaesthetic and causes unconsciousness very quickly if injected into a vein. Capital punishment
is supposed to serve the purposes of social defense and retribution. The argument that it deters or
incapacitates dangerous offenders was not conclusively supported, and analysis of data herein failed to
provide solid evidence for the death penalty as a mechanism of social defense. (Sorensen Pilgrim,2006

electrode is attached to the scalp and forehead over a sponge moistened with salt water.Even without
any trouble, death (by electricity)s are anything but quick and painless. (as a result) most states with
death penalty laws have switched to deadly injection. Only Alabama, Georgia and Nebraska still

Provide a positive working environment and host of family friendly benefits; it keeps the turnover rate
far below the national average. Top management realizes the responsibility for creating a positive
work environment cannot be delegated. It starts from the top management.
One of the main reasons staff members quit is the relationship with their first line supervisor. The fact
is many supervisors and managers are unaware how their actions and decisions affect employee
turnover. A critical aspect of an effective retention strategy is manager training. Properly trained

Essay about Mountain Biking
Mountain Biking
I have come to love bicycles in the course of the past year. I am especially fond of mountain bikes,
including my own. Riding it opens up a whole new world of opportunities and challenges for me. I am
still fairly fresh to the whole mountain biking scene, so I push myself to become better with more
experience. Riding is an outlet; it is something I can channel pent up energy through. I love the sport
because it is a full body, soul, and mind experience that affects all five of the senses.
I see the bike. I notice its worn, but once clean and pristine frame that beckons me to ride. Its sharp,
bright colors are like a simple painting, only on aluminum, not canvas. Its aggressive look tells me

smacks against the frame on a particularly rough terrain. When I feel confident enough, I will hear the
rear wheel skidding across the dirt, as I pull a nice speed slide through a turn. After my body is
somewhat numb to what I am sensing, I begin to notice new awareness of other sensations. Now that I
have been on the bike for a while, I am rather saturated with perspiration. I can now taste the sweat as
it rolls down my face, picking up dirt as it goes, and then mixing with my saliva on my lips, and then
into my parched mouth. I reach for my bottle of water to quench my thirst. The water is warm,
because of the sun beating down on it. I pour it into my mouth and across my face as I slow down my
pace to keep from crashing. The water s taste is not spectacular, because of its temperature and the
mud caked on the spout of the bottle. To the hot and tired rider like me, its flavor is wonderful. Lastly,
I start to notice the smells of riding on the trail. As my blood is stripped of its oxygen while pumping

Critical Criminology Marc Lepines
Analysis
Miller (2009) indicated that, Critical criminology is an umbrella term for a variety of criminological
theories and perspectives that challenge core assumptions of mainstream (or conventional)
criminology in some substantial way and provide alternative approaches to understanding crime and
its control, (p. 210). Some of the critical perspectives of crime include Marxists, political economy,
and Critical feminism. Donnermeyer DeKeseredy (2008) summarized critical criminology as
perspectives that consider views sources of crime as a weakness within the society due to issues of
class, ethnic, and gender. A few people in the political or other class elites control the capitalist
societies. Critical perspectives affirm that inequality ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Health Personal Statement
As an Arab American and former Iraqi refugee, I believe I have a unique view on health care.
Witnessing my physician father at work in Iraq and working closely with physicians as a scribe in the
U.S. have allowed me to integrate two different approaches to medicine into one unified view. In
times of war, few resources are available to patients other than the comforting presence of a physician,
while health care in the U.S. is equipped with readily available resources and research. Having
experienced both settings enables me to understand the two sides of medicine: to utilize the gifts of
modern science, but never forget the power of compassion.
Due to my displacements as a refugee I have had to change schools every academic year starting from
seventh grade until college. These circumstances have strengthened my ability to be adaptable under
difficult situations while staying focused on my main goal of education. It is this adaptability that I

The s Covert Operations Against The Marxist Sandinista...
However, when Casey increased the agency s covert operations against the Marxist Sandinista
government in Nicaragua by funneling aid to the contras, the anti Sandinista rebels, Congress became
concern of the CIA involvement in Central America. Hence, in 1982 it passed Boland amendment
prohibiting the agency from aiding the contras. , Casey continued to find ways to evade the
amendment (Encyclopedia of World Biography, 2010).
On January 7, 1984 and February 29, 1984, the CIA mined several harbors in Nicaragua. Later, during
the spring of 1984, Congress found out about the agency s mining of Nicaragua s harbors, which
created a serious backlash against aiding the contras. Consequently, on August 1, 1984, the House of
Representatives passed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After Boland II became law, two ways for the administration was identified to bypass the law. One
way was to solicit third party funds from private donors or third countries, and the second way to use

(Ross, 2010).
To this day, the exact role of President Reagan in the Iran Contra scandal is unclear. However, it
appears that in July 1985, in a strategic attempt to build relationship with some moderate elements
within Iran s regime, and to secure the release of seven American hostages held by Iranian backed
Shiite extremists in Lebanon, Reagan ordered an operation to sell arms to Iran, which violated the
U.S. arms sales embargo against Iran s regime. Congressional committees that later investigated the
Iran Contra affair concluded that the shredding of the documents and the death of Casey, left the
record incomplete.
It appears that due to Congress s oversight on the CIA s covert operations, initially, the agency was not
officially involved in the affair. Casey later testified to Congress that he was unaware of all the details
and the agency only had a supporting role (Encyclopedia of World Biography, 2010). Nevertheless,
Casey was viewed as a central figure in the agency s involvement in the affair. From August 1985 to
October 1986, seven arms shipments were sent using Israeli and CIA planes. On December 6, 1985,

The Last Voyage of Columbus In his book, Martin Dugard uses dramatic detail and imagery to attract

of Columbus by the lector, then the book will leave the lasting impression that like us, Columbus was
human as well. He was not a saint, and had his fallouts. His life was not a complete joy ride, but the

The ideas that Polo shared, matched directly with another book called Geography, another man later
on came out with the three dimensional globe. This only gave Columbus idea more credit, he wanted
to go to Asia, the Sovereigns were his only hope. King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella, were the only
people that helped Columbus on his first voyage. At first they were completely unwilling to help, but
an advisor from the court told the King and Queen that there was not much to lose with Columbus. If
he made it back, the Sovereigns would have first hands on any land that Columbus would have found.
They liked the idea. The only downside was that the Sovereigns would only be making a small
investment in Columbus. If he failed and perished in the ocean, they would never hear from him
again. It was a win win situation. If he did find Asia, then he would bring back something more
precious than gold, or silver, and pearls; they wanted pepper, a spice only found in the east. Through
out the first chunk of the book, many details and names are given, but the most important is Juan
Rodriguez de Fonseca.Throughout Columbus life, Fonseca plays a very important role as the man that
causes many if not all of Columbus failures and difficulties. At the time Columbus was interested in

The Two Most Interesting Jobs Skip Remington Professor Fred Mader Marketing 340 2/13/16 Marketing Paper The two most interesting jobs I discovered through my research is Market Research Analyst and Customer Service Representative. They require educational experience that is a level apart in difficulty. They are in contrast in that one helps the firm and the other helps the firm s customers. The jobs involve working together with people so that both sides are happy in the end. Their salaries differ as a result of their educational needs for each job. They both have a growing need for people in the future to work in said field. However, that need is not very great. The educational requirement is not hard to get for a person who 18 to 22 years of age. The educational ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 3. Analysis Of Northrop Frye s Wake Me Up When September Ends Most people in the time of misery turn to depression and sadness, while few artistic minds can take those difficult feelings and turn them into a moving piece of art. This is what Billie Joe Armstrong did for one of their most remembered songs Wake Me Up When September Ends. Northrop Frye s thoughts in his writing The Archetypes of literature can be related to this song as well. Such ideas include how different seasons can portray contrasting meanings, and how symbolic references are used throughout the passage to tell a story. All these ideas are supported in the song that Billie Joe Armstrong wrote. For starters, the background of the song is important to understand where the Green Day singer, Billie Joe Armstrong, is coming from. When he was 10 years of age, his father died in 1982 during the month of September due to cancer. The day of the funeral, Armstrong couldn t stand the pain that he was experiencing and locked himself in his room. After his mother ran after him in hopes to comfort his misery, he simply told her to wake him up when September ends. This song regarding his father s death came out 20 years after the incident. It clearly states this in the song Like my father s come to pass Twenty years has gone so fast. This song was written to describe his experience through this disturbing time in his life. In the very first few lines to the lyrics of Wake Me Up When September Ends, it states Summer has come and passed, The innocent can never last. This relates ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. The Importance Of Animal Poaching In this day alone, three rhinoceroses will be killed for the trading of their horns and an estimated one hundred Asian elephants will be killed for their ivory, meat, and body parts. ( African Rhinos (n.d) Goodall , J. 2017) Animal Poaching the illegal act of killing animals for profitable body parts has been the reason for the near extinction of many species, including elephants, tigers, rhinoceros, and lions. Scientists and concerned citizens of society need to come together to obliterate this illicit cartel. Specific animals like elephants, tigers, lions, and rhinoceroses should be preserved because of their roles within their respective ecosystems. Elephants, the ¨mega gardeners of the forest, are essential to the transportation of seeds that maintain tree diversity. When we lose elephants, full extinction is estimated to occur by 2020, we lose not only the species but their ecological role (African Elephants face extinction, 2008). The wise leaders of past lives, elephants used to settle debates of the forest and create vital watering holes for smaller animals as the noble masters in fables told by African natives. When poaching finally takes the last living elephant due to selfishness, many African countries lose both a species, and a culture. Tigers walking gold to poachers are worth a fortune on the black market for their beautiful fur coats and bones, used for a delicate Chinese wine (Guynup, S., 2015). • 6. Persuasive Essay On Changing The Date Of Australia Day Nearly every country features a special day where they celebrate their nation as an entire country and the 26th of January is the day that we Australians celebrate Australia day. We have been doing this for the past more than 200 years. Changing the date of Australia day has been a debate brought up every year in January. In a recent poll, the results show that most Australians don t care what date Australia day is held on as long as there is still a day where us Australians celebrate together as a whole. So, why do people feel the urge to change this date? There are many reasons why Australia day should be changed to a day that represents Australia more. The 26th of January is the day of the first fleet, but it was too the day that the intrusion begun. This day is seen by a few individuals as the day of mourning . This is because this day is when the first nation people had lost their land, alongside being persecuted by the settlers and numerous other issues that go with it. Plus, 26th January truly implies nothing to Australia as an entirety. They are not really celebrating the events that occurred on that day, it is what happened ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, is the 26th January really the first day foreigners have ever set foot on this island? No, in fact, a whole week in advance, some men landed on the Sydney s Botany cove but afterwards found it not comfortable for them to settle, hence, they then migrated to another little cove which is presently known as the Sydney Harbour. Since it wasn t indeed the exact day that the British landed on Australia, then why celebrate it on this day? We think that this day should be changed because there is no reason why we should keep it on this day if it has no specific reason to stay and doesn t represent anything we would be proud ... • 7. My Experience Of High School Experience In Middle School When I was in middle school, I was on the quiz bowl team. The tournaments were nonchalant, the questions were manageable, and the teams all competed to have a good time, not just to advance. Due to the enjoyable nature of my middle school experience, I decided that I would brave the unknown murky waters of high school scholars bowl. I was under the assumption that it would be the same for the most part; however, this assumption was severely misguided. Strolling into the classroom for my first day of practice, I realized I was surrounded by people who seemed to be far more knowledgeable than me. A prime example would be Macy Davis. Sitting at the front of the room, Mr. Kucharik was manning the buzzer system. Frightened because I was a young naïve freshman, I hesitantly sat down as rumor led me to believe that Mr. K despised freshman. The practice was not at all what I expected and was demanding to say the least. Asking us impossible college level questions, Mr. Kucharik seemed to love watching us struggle; furthermore, the man was sadistic as he transitioned from questions such as What kind of clouds produce thunderstorms? to questions about novels that I d never even heard of. After attending several practices, at which I performed horribly every morning, we finally participated in our first tournament of the year. My first time ever leaving the school with Mr. Kucharik did not go the way I hoped it would. For example, when we first arrived in the parking lot outside of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. Ideological Bias Many researchers have attempted to determine whether the media in the United States has an ideological bias; however, the topic is still up for debate and is likely to stay that way because the answer lies under a huge never ending pile of data that takes a lot longer than a week to collect. Learning about the ideological bias that is or is not present in American media is important in understanding the impact that the news has on people and policy change. In the report evidence has been collected during a week long content analysis of two prominent national news outlets that does little to support the idea that media has an ideological bias, rather it provides information that may prove the opposite, that the media s ideological bias is exaggerated and possibly non existent. The small data set demonstrates significance; however, further research is necessary. Throughout the course of Mass Media and Politics we have learned about how the news is made, who makes the news, why certain things are news, and how the news impacts the public. One underlying question that remains is about the bias that the news presents or if there is a bias at all. The debate about the bias in national news is a pressing one that many may not be aware of; however, its importance is crucial to our ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 9. Carbon Nanotubes On The Delivery Of Pharmaceuticals NANOTECHNOLOGY Carbon nanotubes in the delivery of pharmaceuticals in medicine Andrew Kim Word count 995 without references and titles 100%originality The most clinically effective treatments for cancer were ironically incredibly detrimental to the human body s health. These included, chemotherapy and radiation. These two methods did in fact destroy the malignant cells yet also caused apoptosis in healthy cells damaging them beyond repair and thus causing a great detriment to the patients health. However, recently, due to the endeavours of nanotechnology, it has been discovered that carbon nanotubes can effectively carry anti cancer drugs destroying the malignant cancer cells without damaging the healthy cells, in other words, the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Nanotechnology is the design, characterisation, production and application of structure, devices or systems by controlled manipulation of size and shape at the nanoscale. (Nanomed, 2005) This should produce a structure or device with at least one new or superior characteristic. The nanoscale is less than 100nm. CNTs have shown a great deal of potential use as nano carriers for delivering anti cancer drugs directly to the sight of action. However, CNTs must be functionalized, as pure CNTs are difficult to incorporate into biological structures due to their insolubility and their tendency to bundle up. There are two main ways to functionalize CNTs yet the best method is by oxidation leading to carboxyl based couplings. The tube caps openings are created and holes in the side wall form by process of oxidation involving strong acids. These carboxylic group allow covalent coupling with other molecules by amide or ester bonds (see figure 2.1) as a result, CNTs can be conjugated with anti cancer drugs. It is a benefit to functionalize CNTs as functionalized CNTs have been shown in many studies to be able to cross cell membranes (Pantarotte et al.) this means that CNTs can now be used to deliver anti cancer drugs into direct cells. Now that CNTs can be used in biological structures, there are three methods of incorporating the drugs to the CNT. These are by attachment of the drug to the outer surface; covalent or non covalent bonding. Or, loading the CNTs ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 10. Annotatory Tract Infection Paper Every year a familiar scene plays out in clinic waiting rooms, chairs filled with miserable patients waiting to see their physician with complaints of a never ending cough and a constant nasal drip. More than likely, these patients will receive a prescription for antibiotics, but should they? Most acute respiratory tract infections (ARTIs), do not require an antibiotic, the symptoms will resolve themselves over time without antibiotic treatment. Healthcare experts and scientists have warned the public about the dangers of overusing antibiotics, and there are thousands of studies to support that fact, but no one is listening. Patients are convinced they need to have antibiotic treatment, and somehow their time is wasted if they leave empty ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The authors of the study are confident that their quality improvement approach can be successfully replicated in other family practice clinics. The methods used by the project could be easily implemented, the materials from the CDC s Get Smart about Antibiotics are inexpensive and readily available. The article does suggest that their study may have a serious flaw, called the Hawthorne Effect. The Hawthorne Effect or an observer effect acknowledges that both physicians and patients were fully aware they were participating in a quality improvement project. The project would have been more efficient if the participants were unaware they were being evaluated. When individuals believe they are not being observed the results tend to be more trustworthy. Ultimately, the project proved its hypothesis and educated individuals about the risks of overusing antibiotics. • 11. How Teams Of Organizations Develop Into Cohesive Teams The manner in which people interact in groups professionally impacts the productivity of each member as well as the organizational climate. Few professions require an employee to work independently of others. Instead, we must work as a part of a team. Understanding how teams of people interact in the accomplishment of tasks are critical to management teams. In this article, Farrell, Schmitt, and Heinemann (2001) gathered from a sample of 111 interdisciplinary health care teams in geriatrics in 34 Veterans Affairs medical centers in the United States to test team development theories. The process in which groups develop into cohesive teams was at the center of the article. Farrell, Schmitt, and Heinemann (2001) noted that frequently, teams are plagued with repeated conflicts, low morale, and poor task performance. Many theorists have argued that, before an interdisciplinary team can establish the open communication, flexibility in leadership, and coordination of efforts necessary for effective functioning, it must pass through a sequence of developmental stages (281). Farrell, Schmitt, and Heineman (2001) referenced Tuckman and Jensen s group development stages in which they refer to the stages as (a) testing and dependency, or the forming stage, (b) conflict, or the storming stage, (c) cohesion and consensus, or the norming stage, and (d) functional role relatedness, or the performing stage (p. 282). She depicts the negative connections to snakes such as fear, evil, immorality, night and slyness. While also linking the snake to positive symbols, such as rejuvenation and independence. This theme only became overt in the story through the lens of the protagonist, Delia, an African American launderer who is married to Sykes. • 13. Major Structures Of The Eye A) Major structures of the eye include the cornea, pupil, iris, lens and retina. The cornea is responsible for the focus and entrance of light. The pupil, an adjustable opening, decides the measure of light that enters the eye. The light s brightness effects the size of the pupil meaning it will either expand or get smaller. The iris plays a role in size as it regulates the amount of light by controlling the size of the pupil. The lens is an aspect of the eye that is located behind the pupil. The function of this part of the eye is to focus light on the retina. The retina is comprised of receptors called rods and cones. At the end of William Shakespeare s Julius Ceasar, it was Marcus Antonius that said upon Marcus Brutus death, This was the noblest Roman of them all... . I would have to agree with that statement for many reasons. Though, what I ve seen as his strengths, there are some that also serve as his weaknesses. Brutus lives by a strict moral compass and code of ethics entwined with a rigid sense of idealism. All of which are great virtues but are also deadly flaws. Brutus acts out of a desire to limit the self serving aspects of his actions. Ironically, however, in each instance, he dooms the very cause that he seeks to promote, which does no one any good. • 15. Kierkegaard Kierkegaard, in Works of Love uses 1 Cor. 8:1 Love builds up as a starting point to discuss how love can be discussed. He begins his discussion by recognizing that to build up is a transferred expression that has both a general and spiritual meaning. In the general sense, Kierkegaard says that to build up is to construct something from the ground up into the heights (201). It is not just to build, but to build from the foundation, from the ground, up. He provides the example of the parable of the wise and foolish builders, the one of whom builds his house without a foundation while the other does build from the foundation up. A key part of what to build up means to Kierkegaard is that it is built on something, a foundation. This is what he means when discussing to build up in the general sense. ... If the person who has a tendency toward pride makes this presupposition about others, then it becomes difficult to maintain the sin of pride. • 17. Evaluate The Role Of Tnc There are so many ways to evaluate the role of TNCs, and how they shape and contribute to the economy. Before all this one must understand what globalization is and why it is very important to TNCs. Globalization is simply the integration of culture, trade, natural resources and factors of production between nations. But, economic globalization refers to increasing economic interdependence of national economies across the world through a rapid increase in cross border movement of goods, services, technology and capital (Shangquan, 2000). The main key players are transnational corporations (TNC) sometimes known as multinational corporations (MNC).TNC s are firms that have attained the power needed to co ordinate and operate across the boundaries of many nations. Usually the main purpose of TNCs is to maximize profit and increase their selling market. It is around this time that the development of factories, more capital intensive manufacturing processes; better storage techniques; and faster means of transportation were developed. • 35. Health Personal Statement As an Arab American and former Iraqi refugee, I believe I have a unique view on health care. Witnessing my physician father at work in Iraq and working closely with physicians as a scribe in the U.S. have allowed me to integrate two different approaches to medicine into one unified view. In times of war, few resources are available to patients other than the comforting presence of a physician, while health care in the U.S. is equipped with readily available resources and research. Having experienced both settings enables me to understand the two sides of medicine: to utilize the gifts of modern science, but never forget the power of compassion. Due to my displacements as a refugee I have had to change schools every academic year starting from seventh grade until college. These circumstances have strengthened my ability to be adaptable under difficult situations while staying focused on my main goal of education. It is this adaptability that I believe will contribute the most to my success as a medical student, in addition to my unique global ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 36. The s Covert Operations Against The Marxist Sandinista... However, when Casey increased the agency s covert operations against the Marxist Sandinista government in Nicaragua by funneling aid to the contras, the anti Sandinista rebels, Congress became concern of the CIA involvement in Central America. Hence, in 1982 it passed Boland amendment prohibiting the agency from aiding the contras. , Casey continued to find ways to evade the amendment (Encyclopedia of World Biography, 2010). On January 7, 1984 and February 29, 1984, the CIA mined several harbors in Nicaragua. Later, during the spring of 1984, Congress found out about the agency s mining of Nicaragua s harbors, which created a serious backlash against aiding the contras. Consequently, on August 1, 1984, the House of Representatives passed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... After Boland II became law, two ways for the administration was identified to bypass the law. One way was to solicit third party funds from private donors or third countries, and the second way to use the White House National Security Council (NSC) since the council was not covered under Boland II (Ross, 2010). To this day, the exact role of President Reagan in the Iran Contra scandal is unclear. However, it appears that in July 1985, in a strategic attempt to build relationship with some moderate elements within Iran s regime, and to secure the release of seven American hostages held by Iranian backed Shiite extremists in Lebanon, Reagan ordered an operation to sell arms to Iran, which violated the U.S. arms sales embargo against Iran s regime. Congressional committees that later investigated the Iran Contra affair concluded that the shredding of the documents and the death of Casey, left the record incomplete. It appears that due to Congress s oversight on the CIA s covert operations, initially, the agency was not officially involved in the affair. Casey later testified to Congress that he was unaware of all the details and the agency only had a supporting role (Encyclopedia of World Biography, 2010). Nevertheless, Casey was viewed as a central figure in the agency s involvement in the affair. From August 1985 to October 1986, seven arms shipments were sent using Israeli and CIA planes. • 37. The Last Voyage of Columbus The Last Voyage of Columbus In his book, Martin Dugard uses dramatic detail and imagery to attract the readers attention. At times it feels as though the book is even fiction, but the selected bibliography in the end, defend with certainty this books authenticity. If there were no speculations on the character of Columbus by the lector, then the book will leave the lasting impression that like us, Columbus was human as well. He was not a saint, and had his fallouts. His life was not a complete joy ride, but the ending of the book gives the reader the sense that Columbus was a man of exuberant character: live a bold life rather than settle for mediocrity. The ideas that Polo shared, matched directly with another book called Geography, another man later on came out with the three dimensional globe. This only gave Columbus idea more credit, he wanted to go to Asia, the Sovereigns were his only hope. King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella, were the only people that helped Columbus on his first voyage. At first they were completely unwilling to help, but an advisor from the court told the King and Queen that there was not much to lose with Columbus. If he made it back, the Sovereigns would have first hands on any land that Columbus would have found. They liked the idea. The only downside was that the Sovereigns would only be making a small investment in Columbus. If he failed and perished in the ocean, they would never hear from him again. It was a win win situation. If he did find Asia, then he would bring back something more precious than gold, or silver, and pearls; they wanted pepper, a spice only found in the east. Through out the first chunk of the book, many details and names are given, but the most important is Juan Rodriguez de Fonseca.Throughout Columbus life, Fonseca plays a very important role as the man that causes many if not all of Columbus failures and difficulties. At the time Columbus was interested in sailing to Asia, Fonseca was the royal auditor of the Indies.
