PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Acxiom
Senior Project Manager 2011-2015
Led 3-9 month solution migration, infrastructure and database install projects across multiple verticals. Took on
responsibility for crisis projects mid-lifecycle and successfully directed the completion of all deliverables. Wrote
comprehensive project plans and schedules to administer task assignments, milestones and budgets. Created, utilized
and shared standard templates and spreadsheets that communicated task schedules, project status, issues, risks and
action items to all stakeholders. Authored and implemented project management best practices from lessons learned.
• Managed the first set of overlapping 9 month, $1MM projects to migrate existing retail and healthcare clients from an
old marketing application that had been outgrown to a newly developed marketing database solution. The projects’
main components were data warehouse conversions, virtual host hardware provisioning, campaign and reporting
software installs and detailed quality control testing, including HIPAA compliance reviews for the healthcare firm.
 A full audit of the old solution data exposed previously unknown quality issues that were corrected as part of
the project, which increased clients’ level of trust with Acxiom. This early audit is now a migration best practice.
 The healthcare client added to their relationship by moving two additional lines of business to the new solution.
• Managed a 10 month, $2MM project for a large upscale retail chain to build a consumer database solution for
campaign planning, execution, analysis and integration with client back-end software. The project required extensive
teamwork and communication across multiple internal and external organizations, quick and agile problem solving,
exceptional change management and strong innovation in developing new marketing applications for the solution.
 The project received the highest possible score in the company's Process Quality and Compliance Review.
 The client's project leader won a quarterly recognition award, which was directly attributed to partnering with
Acxiom, thus strengthening the relationship between the companies and opening new revenue opportunities.
• Managed a $500K infrastructure refresh project for a specialty retailer. The success criteria was exceeded by
reducing the warehouse daily build from 7 to 1.5 hours, which enabled the client to begin work 3 hours earlier.

 The company’s Director of Relationship Marketing accentuated to his superiors the significant improvement in
the daily build, along with the project finishing early, which helped Acxiom’s negotiating of future client work.
Sun Microsystems – Contract through BCI-IT
Project Manager 2007-2009
Managed a $5MM multi-phase infrastructure project for Verizon Business whose goals were to reduce the number of
physical servers in 12 data centers and replace outdated hardware and system software with current technologies.
• Decreased the number of Solaris and Windows physical servers in scope for the project by 61% through the use of
containers and VMware, with the new hardware having the most current operating systems and software installed.
 Increased available floor space and significantly reduced power consumption costs in multiple data centers.
 The state-of-the-art servers delivered improved performance for both users and technical support.
• Planned and delivered all project communications and meetings for virtual international project teams totaling over
20 core members and 200 extended resources.
 The resources and their managers at each location were presented with the project tasks and schedule well in
advance, which enabled the optimal assignment of work to complete the deliverables with no delays.
• Built and administered a project-specific PMO that assigned, scheduled and supervised technical and project
management resources from both Sun and Verizon Business.
 The PMO drove the execution of 150 vital architecture assessments within the required 3 month timeline.
Sun Microsystems – Contract through Ajilon
Project Manager 2006-2007
Managed a $3MM enterprise-wide server consolidation infrastructure project for Frontier Communications. Planned
and directed each server migration from initial configuration to final installation using Sun best standards and practices.
• Reduced the number of physical UNIX servers across all of Frontier by 20% through the use of Sun Solaris container
technology. Upgraded 23% of the remaining servers to current and more efficient hardware and operating systems.
 Frontier realized significant savings in both support costs and energy usage.
• Implemented VMware to enable 33% of the physical Windows and Linux servers at Frontier to be replaced with
virtual machines, which reduced the data center footprint and costs as was done for the UNIX servers.
 The time required to build and deploy new Windows and Linux servers was shortened from weeks to hours.
Equient, a division of General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems
Project Manager 1999-2006
Drove all mission-critical data warehouse implementations, software development work and key customer-based direct
marketing and business intelligence projects. Authored client-facing project proposals and statements of work for
companies in the retail, financial, telecommunications and service sectors. Supervised the lead test manager.
• Engineered and implemented a data warehouse of 110 million US consumers that was the basis for all company
work and client solutions. Developed and put into practice the standards that governed all data warehouse loads.
 The processing time for data warehouse updates was decreased by 25%, while greatly improving quality.
• Managed a virtual team of 45 that developed and executed marketing projects for a 1 ½ year, $5MM contract with a
specialty retailer. Deployed and managed a CRM database that was integrated into the company’s advertising plan.
 The project efforts resulted in a 17% improvement in targeted sales and a 10% increase in ROI.

The projects’ main components were data warehouse conversions, virtual host hardware provisioning, campaign and reporting software installs and detailed quality control testing, including HIPAA compliance reviews for the healthcare firm.  A full audit of the old solution data exposed previously unknown quality issues that were corrected as part of the project, which increased clients’ level of trust with Acxiom. This early audit is now a migration best practice.  The healthcare client added to their relationship by moving two additional lines of business to the new solution. • Managed a 10 month, $2MM project for a large upscale retail chain to build a consumer database solution for campaign planning, execution, analysis and integration with client back-end software. The project required extensive teamwork and communication across multiple internal and external organizations, quick and agile problem solving, exceptional change management and strong innovation in developing new marketing applications for the solution.  The project received the highest possible score in the company's Process Quality and Compliance Review.  The client's project leader won a quarterly recognition award, which was directly attributed to partnering with Acxiom, thus strengthening the relationship between the companies and opening new revenue opportunities. • Managed a $500K infrastructure refresh project for a specialty retailer. The success criteria was exceeded by reducing the warehouse daily build from 7 to 1.5 hours, which enabled the client to begin work 3 hours earlier.

Sun Microsystems – Contract through BCI-IT Project Manager 2007-2009 Managed a $5MM multi-phase infrastructure project for Verizon Business whose goals were to reduce the number of physical servers in 12 data centers and replace outdated hardware and system software with current technologies. • Decreased the number of Solaris and Windows physical servers in scope for the project by 61% through the use of containers and VMware, with the new hardware having the most current operating systems and software installed.  Increased available floor space and significantly reduced power consumption costs in multiple data centers.  The state-of-the-art servers delivered improved performance for both users and technical support. • Planned and delivered all project communications and meetings for virtual international project teams totaling over 20 core members and 200 extended resources.  The resources and their managers at each location were presented with the project tasks and schedule well in advance, which enabled the optimal assignment of work to complete the deliverables with no delays. • Built and administered a project-specific PMO that assigned, scheduled and supervised technical and project management resources from both Sun and Verizon Business.  The PMO drove the execution of 150 vital architecture assessments within the required 3 month timeline. Sun Microsystems – Contract through Ajilon Project Manager 2006-2007 Managed a $3MM enterprise-wide server consolidation infrastructure project for Frontier Communications. Planned and directed each server migration from initial configuration to final installation using Sun best standards and practices. • Reduced the number of physical UNIX servers across all of Frontier by 20% through the use of Sun Solaris container technology. Upgraded 23% of the remaining servers to current and more efficient hardware and operating systems.  Frontier realized significant savings in both support costs and energy usage. • Implemented VMware to enable 33% of the physical Windows and Linux servers at Frontier to be replaced with virtual machines, which reduced the data center footprint and costs as was done for the UNIX servers.  The time required to build and deploy new Windows and Linux servers was shortened from weeks to hours. Equient, a division of General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems Project Manager 1999-2006 Drove all mission-critical data warehouse implementations, software development work and key customer-based direct marketing and business intelligence projects.
