3. Picture, all billboards I researched included at least one image. Always positioned in
main point of view and in contrast with the background so that they were clearly visible
passing people. A large size meant they gave an accurate representation of the
magazine so that consumers knew what it expect and the genre of the magazine was
clearly established so that it could be understood.
Magazine name, displayed in large house style font the shows continuation from the
one used on the companies magazine itself.
Sell lines/promotion, some billboards include specific text to intrigue readers, it also
encourages them to read further. Exclamation marks are also used at the end of some of
these lines to exaggerate and promote it.
Colour scheme, the colour schemes usually represent either the themes of the magazine
, they are also used to contrast with the content of the magazine so that other features
stand out.

5. Social media links, all websites included links to their social media sites so that readers are able
to follow the company and keep up to date on exclusive information and follow the latest
releases and editions. As well as any news or extras the magazine offers to their subscribers.
Menu tabs, all of the magazines I analysed they all included menu tabs at the top of their
webpage so that readers can navigate and read specific topics and areas of the magazine and
therefore it can appeal to a wider range of interests.
Images, images are commonly used throughout all the websites to advertise specific features,
they also give an illustration of the content of the magazine and any exclusive information.
Search bar, search bars are usually positioned at the top right hand corner of the website so
that readers are able search for specific areas and topics and find out further information.
Special offers/subscriptions, some websites offered deals on monthly subscriptions to readers
so that they are more likely to sign up as they will receive money offer or exclusive gifts.
Magazine Name, very prominent it uses the same house style as it does when printed on the
magazine so that it creates a brand and that viewers can connect and associate with.
Subscription options, the opportunity to subscribe is on the homepage so it is already easy and
available to access which means viewers are more likely to subscribe because of the
convenience.
