Non-Financial Information and Firm Risk Non-Financial Information and Firm RiskAJHSSR Journal
ABSTRACT: This research aims to examine how ESG disclosure and risk disclosure affect the total risk of
companies. Using cross section data from 355 companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange, data regarding
ESG disclosure and risk was collected. In this research, ESG and risk disclosures are measured based on content
analysis using GRI 4 guidelines for ESG disclosures and COSO ERM for risk disclosures. Using multiple
regression, it is concluded that only risk disclosure can reduce the company's total risk, while ESG disclosure
cannot affect the company's total risk. This shows that only risk disclosure is relevant in determining a
company's total risk.

The Challenges of Good Governance and Project Implementation in Nigeria: A Re...AJHSSR Journal
ABSTRACT : This study reveals that systemic corruption and other factors including poor leadership,
leadership recruitment processes, ethnic and regional politics, tribalism and mediocrity, poor planning, and
variation of project design have been the causative factors that undermine projects implementation in postindependence African states, particularly in Nigeria. The study, thus, argued that successive governments of
African states, using Nigeria as a case study, have been deeply engrossed in this obnoxious practice that has
undermined infrastructure sector development as well as enthroned impoverishment and mass poverty in these
African countries. This study, therefore, is posed to examine the similarities in causative factors, effects and
consequences of corruption and how it affects governance, projects implementation and national growth. To
achieve this, the study adopted historical research design which is qualitative and explorative in nature. The
study among others suggests that the governments of developing countries should shun corruption and other
forms of obnoxious practices in order to operate effective and efficient systems that promote good governance
and ensure there is adequate projects implementation which are the attributes of a responsible government and
good leadership. Policy makers should also prioritize policy objectives and competence to ensure that policies
are fully implemented within stipulated time frame.

“To be integrated is to feel secure, to feel connected.” The views and experi...AJHSSR Journal
ABSTRACT: Although a significant amount of literature exists on Morocco's migration policies and their
successes and failures since their implementation in 2014, there is limited research on the integration of subSaharan African children into schools. This paperis part of a Ph.D. research project that aims to fill this gap. It
reports the main findings of a study conducted with migrant children enrolled in two public schools in Rabat,
Morocco, exploring how integration is defined by the children themselves and identifying the obstacles that they
have encountered thus far. The following paper uses an inductive approach and primarily focuses on the
relationships of children with their teachers and peers as a key aspect of integration for students with a migration
background. The study has led to several crucial findings. It emphasizes the significance of speaking Colloquial
Moroccan Arabic (Darija) and being part of a community for effective integration. Moreover, it reveals that the
use of Modern Standard Arabic as the language of instruction in schools is a source of frustration for students,
indicating the need for language policy reform. The study underlines the importanceof considering the
children‟s agency when being integrated into mainstream public schools.

Exploring Factors Affecting the Success of TVET-Industry Partnership: A Case ...AJHSSR Journal
ABSTRACT: The purpose of this study was to explore factors affecting the success of TVET-industry
partnerships. A case study design of the qualitative research method was used to achieve this objective. For the
study, one polytechnic college of Oromia regional state, and two industries were purposively selected. From the
sample polytechnic college and industries, a total of 17 sample respondents were selected. Out of 17
respondents, 10 respondents were selected using the snowball sampling method, and the rest 7 respondents were
selected using the purposive sampling technique. The qualitative data were collected through an in-depth
interview and document analysis. The data were analyzed using thematic approaches. The findings revealed that
TVET-industry partnerships were found weak. Lack of key stakeholder‟s awareness shortage of improved
training equipment and machines in polytechnic colleges, absence of trainee health insurance policy, lack of
incentive mechanisms for private industries, lack of employer industries involvement in designing and
developing occupational standards, and preparation of curriculum were some of the impediments of TVETindustry partnership. Based on the findings it was recommended that the Oromia TVET bureau in collaboration
with other relevant concerned regional authorities and TVET colleges, set new strategies for creating strong
awareness for industries, companies, and other relevant stakeholders on the purpose and advantages of
implementing successful TVET-industry partnership. Finally, the Oromia regional government in collaboration
with the TVET bureau needs to create policy-supported incentive strategies such as giving occasional privileges
of duty-free import, tax reduction, and regional government recognition awards based on the level of partnership
contribution to TVET institutions in promoting TVET-industry partnership.

4. Masthead
• I followed the conventions of creating
a masthead which is large and bold and
easy to read. By following this
convention it will attract the reader
straight away essentially drawing them
in. I believe that the chosen colour
stands out from the background image,
making it easy for the target audience
to identify the magazine. Whilst
creating the magazine I made sure that
the masthead didn’t overlap with
anything else, in order to keep the
title of the magazine clear. Many other
magazines use similar mastheads just
like the one I created.
5. Main Image
• I followed the common codes
and conventions that give my
image a natural look. I also
followed the front cover
convention of having only one
main photograph on the front
cover. I positioned the camera
in the middle of the river so
the image looked symmetrical
in terms of the river and the
bridge. In my opinion the river
gives a sense a calm and
natural feeling, hopefully
appealing to the target
audience, making them want to
purchase the magazine. In
most cases Regional Magazines
tend to use natural and
pleasing images with natural
lighting.
6. Sell Line
• The way I chose my sell line was by relating it to other
magazines similar to mine. I attempted to make the sell line
stand out by contrasting the colour to the background. I also
used a different font compared to the one I used for my
Masthead. This shows that I try to differentiate my fonts on
my front cover.
7. House Style
• I believe that in terms of regional
magazines, different colour
schemes are important and will
appeal to my target audience.
The colours I chose appeal to
both genders following the
common codes and conventions.
The header at the top of the
page is a typical convention.
From the example magazines I
have looked at, many of them
have very similar headers to
mine. This is exactly what I was
aiming to do, as it clearly
appeals to the target
demographic.
9. Fonts and Features
• Within my contents page I made each
article name very short and snappy. I
used ‘serif’ font as it’s more subtle and
reflects the ideologies of the audience. I
tried reflecting their preferences of how
a contents page should actually look by
researching other regional magazines
that I wanted to .
• I follow the codes and conventions by
placing my images in the top right
corner with my text laid out clearly from
the left hand side. I didn't’t want the
whole page to look over crowded with
text otherwise it would have made the
page look messy. Therefore I left even
spaces within each piece of text.
10. Images
• I followed the conventions of using images to break up the text on the page. I
use a variety of different shots such as close up and long shots. I believe that
captured photos that fit in with my regional magazines perfectly. I used
different type of lighting to allow my audience to see the article creating a
relationship between the audience and the magazine.
• On the contents page the images I used that portray the real view of what
Thanet is like. I didn't’t use any images of people, unlike other regional
magazines I researched, this is because it’s a regional magazine, therefore, I
was attempting to show the nature, beauty and tranquility of Thanet.
11. Rows and Columns
• I organized my text so that it
would be easy and clear for the
reader to locate what they
wanted to find. I created sub
headings for each section and
topic. This distinguished certain
articles from each other.
• Alongside of my double page
contents page I advertised my
social media accounts linked to
the regional magazine. By doing
this, I hope to engage younger
audiences with my magazine due
to the fact that younger aged
people tend to do use social
media on a regular basis.
12. Numbering
• I placed out the numbers on the left hand side of the text on
my contents page. I structured it in a vertical line which is
conventional from the regional magazines I have looked into.
This allows people to easily navigate through the magazine.
14. Text
• I followed the codes and conventions
of using a sell line. I thought this
attract a larger audience. By having a
sell line, it establishes the product
that I am advertising.
• On my advertisement page, I decided
to create a logo using the colour
yellow as it stands out, essentially
drawing the readers in. It also stands
out especially with the colour of the
background I chose for this page. I
used ‘serif’ font which would appeal
to my audience. I also used my
unique logo in three different spots
on the magazine page. This is very
unconventional but I thought it
worked for my advertisement page.
15. Image
• I followed the common codes and
conventions by using specific lighting
measures. I thought that this would help
appeal to my target audience. By having
high lighting, it allows my audience to
easily visualize what the advertisement
is offering.
• By looking at many other advertisements
that sell kitchens, not only in regional
magazines, but TV, internet, and many
other advertisement platforms, I thought
it would be perfect for me to use a mid
shot. Using a mid shot makes it easier
for the audience to imagine themselves
being in this kitchen.
• When taking the photograph, I left the
kitchen utensils and certain objects in
their place so that it looks homely and
not just set out for the advertisement.
17. Layout
• I followed the conventions of having your masthead at the top
middle of the screen of the website. This means that as soon as the
website is opened by an individual, they are able to see straight
away the name of the magazine and who we are. Additionally
having my tab section at the top of the page allows my audience to
pick a specific section they want to go to, and allows them to
navigate through the site easily. The masthead also allows greater
brand recognition for the target demographic.
• One thing I made sure while
creating the website was that I
would be able to obtain
feedback in order to keep on
improving the site for the
target audience, allowing them
to get what they want.
Therefore, I left a message box
at the bottom of the page
which would allow them to
send me feedback and ask any
questions.
18. Image
• On most of the example regional
magazine websites I looked at,
many of them used a variety of
different images. This would
grant the audience to feel as if
they were filled with tranquility
and peace due to the images
being nature related.
20. Layout
• During the making of my billboard for the regional magazine, at times I found it rather
difficult due to the fact that there weren't many examples to look at. The billboard that
helped me the most was ‘the resident’. The way they laid out their magazine on the right
hand side was very stylish. Using three platforms to access my magazine would appeal to
my audience. I decided to follow the conventions by using a plain but bold colour for my
background, allowing it to stand out.
• I also followed the convention of having a recognizable logo which is easy to read, it is bold
and the two contrasting colours make it stand out. The bold colour will make it easy for the
target audience to identify the magazine, and the use of uppercase letters will appeal to
my target audience as it makes the product stand out and catch the audiences attention.
• I also followed the convention of advertising the magazine's contact details and other social
media accounts.
21. Image
• I decided to follow the conventions by using a plain, but bold
colour for my background. I believe the bold colour stands out
in contrast to the title of my magazine, along side the image
of my front cover placed upon 3 different platforms.
