WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNT ABOUT TECHNOLOGIES FROM THE PROCESS OF
CONSTRUCTING
Technologies I used..
Internet
I used the internet for a significant part of my
production, this was particularly in the area of
research , for the use of both codes and conventions
and finding tutorials. This allowed be to research in as
much or as little depth as I needed to in order to find
out new key skills that I will need to be able to use so I
am I able to effectively use other technologies such as
the camera Lumix 7 and also how Photoshop worked
as this was not a piece of software I am familiar with. It
was also a vital tool in being able to research codes ad
conventions of existing media in order to be able to
gain an understanding of what my product should
look like and how to achieve it.
Blogger
I had some experience previously with blogger so
therefore did not use tutorials or research to
understand how to use it . This piece of technology was
significant when it came to displaying my work
however (shown on the right). It allowed me to not
actually create my production but to show it and
present it in a clear and efficient way so that it could be
easily viewed and navigated.
The blog I used to display my
production on
PowerPoint Presentation
I found that to present some of my work , for
example my target audience and focus group
research (shown on the right) along with my
evaluation that this would be a good
programme to display these elements. Again
it is technology that I am familiar with so did
not require me to use research or tutorials to
understand how to use it. I found this
particular tool very useful as it allowed be to
display and present my work efficiently and in
a well organised and clear way.

Prezi
My Prezi account showing how many Prezis I used
to present different parts of my production
Prezi is another presentation tool that I
used to present my research on along with
PowerPoint . I used this as it was away to
develop my presentational skills further and
also add variety to how I showed my
findings. Although had not used this before
it was very simple and easy to use so
therefore I did not use tutorials to assist me
in how to use it.

Although I did not use YouTube in creating or presenting my
production or reach , It was vital however to research how to
use some of the tools and equipment that I am not
particularly familiar with such as the camera and Photoshop.

Photoshop was a vital tool in
creating my production , it was a
not a programme I have used
before so it did require my to
research it using a tutorial to
understand how to use it effectively.
I also used help form my peers to
understand how to use aspects of it
, I also played around with editing
images and font styles for example
as shown in my mock ups and focus
group research. As shown n the
right I used a tutorial to understand
how to edit the contrast and
brightness of my image.

Panasonic Lumix 7 Camera
I have had some experience with cameras before completing my
production however not with this specific model , this meant that I
used a tutorial to help me work out some details for example
shutter speeds (as shown below) and brightness settings on this
particular camera. This was a vital part of my production as it
allowed to take the images that were the mean features of my
entire production. It also meant that they were displayed in a high
quality resolution which meant I was able to edit them clearly on
Photoshop.

To Conclude…
Overall , technology has played a vital role in my project. This is
because of me using it in every aspect and rea of my work . This
is clearly demonstrated in every area of my blog, without
technology may production would have most likely had a more
unprofessional look and the standard may not have been to the
same quality. Other factors such as my research and learning
how to use certain tools would have also been affected and
therefore my magazine appearance would also be as I would
not have been able to achieve this look without the use of
technology.

  • 1. Evaluation Question 6 WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNT ABOUT TECHNOLOGIES FROM THE PROCESS OF CONSTRUCTING
  • 3. Internet I used the internet for a significant part of my production, this was particularly in the area of research , for the use of both codes and conventions and finding tutorials. This allowed be to research in as much or as little depth as I needed to in order to find out new key skills that I will need to be able to use so I am I able to effectively use other technologies such as the camera Lumix 7 and also how Photoshop worked as this was not a piece of software I am familiar with. It was also a vital tool in being able to research codes ad conventions of existing media in order to be able to gain an understanding of what my product should look like and how to achieve it.
  • 4. Blogger I had some experience previously with blogger so therefore did not use tutorials or research to understand how to use it . This piece of technology was significant when it came to displaying my work however (shown on the right). It allowed me to not actually create my production but to show it and present it in a clear and efficient way so that it could be easily viewed and navigated. PowerPoint Presentation I found that to present some of my work , for example my target audience and focus group research (shown on the right) along with my evaluation that this would be a good programme to display these elements. Again it is technology that I am familiar with so did not require me to use research or tutorials to understand how to use it. I found this particular tool very useful as it allowed be to display and present my work efficiently and in a well organised and clear way. Prezi My Prezi account showing how many Prezis I used to present different parts of my production Prezi is another presentation tool that I used to present my research on along with PowerPoint . I used this as it was away to develop my presentational skills further and also add variety to how I showed my findings. Although had not used this before it was very simple and easy to use so therefore I did not use tutorials to assist me in how to use it.

You Tube Although I did not use YouTube in creating or presenting my production or reach , It was vital however to research how to use some of the tools and equipment that I am not particularly familiar with such as the camera and Photoshop. Photoshop Photoshop was a vital tool in creating my production , it was a not a programme I have used before so it did require my to research it using a tutorial to understand how to use it effectively. I also used help form my peers to understand how to use aspects of it , I also played around with editing images and font styles for example as shown in my mock ups and focus group research. As shown n the right I used a tutorial to understand how to edit the contrast and brightness of my image. Brightness and contrast adjusted in Photoshop

Panasonic Lumix 7 Camera I have had some experience with cameras before completing my production however not with this specific model , this meant that I used a tutorial to help me work out some details for example shutter speeds (as shown below) and brightness settings on this particular camera. This was a vital part of my production as it allowed to take the images that were the mean features of my entire production. It also meant that they were displayed in a high quality resolution which meant I was able to edit them clearly on Photoshop. An example of where I decreased shutter speed in order to allow more light to be captured in my image
  • 10. To Conclude… Overall , technology has played a vital role in my project. This is because of me using it in every aspect and rea of my work . This is clearly demonstrated in every area of my blog, without technology may production would have most likely had a more unprofessional look and the standard may not have been to the same quality. Other factors such as my research and learning how to use certain tools would have also been affected and therefore my magazine appearance would also be as I would not have been able to achieve this look without the use of technology.
