How Did Mozart Change The World
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was a prolific European Composer during the 18th century where he made
a lasting change on the musical world through his numerous compositions and excellence in his
capabilities of playing many instruments perfectly. Mozart was born on January 27th, 1756, in
Salzburg Austria. His father was Leopold Mozart who was a violinist, a minor composer, and Vice
Kapellmeister at the court of the Archbishop of Salzburg. His mother was Maria Anna Pertl. By the
time Mozart was around four his father gave his sister music lessons, but without anyone knowing
Mozart would absorb what they were talking about, and he started to awaken his gift. He started
memorizing and playing songs just by hearing them and reciting them after. Mozart was four years old
when he composed his first concerto for the clavier. On January 24, 1761, three days before his
birthday, he learned a scherzo by Georg Christoph Wagenseil between nine and nine thirty at night an
unusual time for a small child to be practicing in an age of no electric lights as Jeremy Siepmann says

Assignment On Divine Law
STUDY QUESTIONS
Chapter 4: On Divine Law
1. What does it mean to know the divine law?
Basically, divine law is the kind of law that is not forced by any punishment or rewards in order to
follow them. Knowing divine law means acting good and behaving in a way that follows the nature
and how thing are; as an example, serving in the interest of nature which is understanding that all and
every human are free and every person should have their own freedom and choice and not abusing
others and doing your best to follow everything in nature in its own way. Following the divine law
automatically is following the law of God because law of nature is exactly the law of God and how he
made everything. Therefore, people who follow the divine law do not need any force to act and
behave correctly because they truly believe in their heart and mind to the law of nature and law of God
and they would not do anything but all the stuff that are correct in nature/God law.
2. What is the difference between joy and suffering?
Difference between joy and suffering as its explained in the text is that when God gave us the law of
nature and also gave us the free choice which is the freedom that we can choose between good and
evil acts, he provided us with our own good and bad. If a person decide to act good and follow the
divine law he is making himself joyful and helping himself/herself to be the person he/she decides and
if the person choose to act bad and not follow the path of nature law he/she is

Universal Themes
The universal theme of The Seven Ages of Man is that women and men live brief lives to play their
part before departing from mortality. The universal theme of Demeter is an obsessive mom trying to
get her child back. The universal theme in The Seven Ages of Man and Demeter have similar
universal themes because both themes are basically saying the choices made in life determines the
future. In The Seven Ages of Man one of the stages is the life of a school boy. The school boy
unwillingly attends school and lack discipline. As he grow, he grows into a more mature person. In the
text it states And then the whining g schoolboy, with his satchel and shining morning face, creeping
like snail unwillingly to school. The text also stated Then a soldier, Full of strange oaths, and bearded
like the pard, Jealous in honor, sudden and quick in quarrel This basic is an example of a boy that
made the choices to attend school and lack discipline, therefore he became a something positive in life
due to his choice. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The mother s choice of getting angry in Demeter caused a negative outcome to her future. Where you
will have your desire, your daughter, to comfort your sorrow as each year is accomplished and bitter
winter is ended. For a third part only the kingdom of darkness shall hold her. For the rest you will
keep her, you and the happy immortals. Stated the passage. To clarify, in the myth Demeter made the
choices to get angry and the outcome that impact her future is that now her daughter has to report to
the Underworld every year. Therefore the earth will be winter while her daughter is

Difference of Marketing Product and Service
The Marketing of product and service are different
A product is normally a thing that sold to people and mostly is tangible. Basically, the marketing of
product is particularly focused on 4P s in marketing mix namely product, price, place, and promotion
(Ehmke Fulton Lusk, n.d.). The marketer needs to analyze the major demand of customers in a
specific market in order to find out a product that can respond the market demand. Firstly, it is
necessary for marketers to focus on the strength as well as eliminate the vulnerabilities of marketed
products in order to improve products to meet customer s demand as much as possible. Secondly, the
price is an important factor in product marketing because of the price must be set to match with ...

I think product and services marketing are significantly different because of characteristic of itself.
The first characteristic of services marketing is intangibility; it cannot be seen, touched or felt prior
consumption. On the other hands, product marketing is tangible, the customer is able to touch, feel,
taste or smell the product either before or after purchasing. For example, when customers walk
through a restaurant, they might get the food smell from the restaurant but they cannot know how well
of service if they do not buy the menu.
Secondly, products can be stored in order to sell to the customer in the next time whereas services
marketing mostly are unable to be inventoried, they are perishable. Hence, the value of service always
exists at the point when it is required. Therefore, it seems to be very difficult to match supply with
demand in service marketing.
Thirdly, the other difference of product and services marketing is the level of relationship between the
client and provider. Undoubtedly, there is much more personal contact required in services marketing
than product marketing. In case of product marketing, customers and sellers may face each other just
once time when they are dealing products and they might have no chance to see each other again.
However, in services marketing, consumers and service providers may have to see each other
frequently throughout until the contract is ended or until the last thing that consumers

A corporate brand is a product of an organization s corporate strategy, mission, image, and activities.
Corporate brands distinguish organizations from their competitors, orient the organization in the
minds of customers and employees, and create a perception of what an organization stands for (Matrix
AMC, 2014) CCC will need to establish an organizational branding standard that makes a statement to
potential clients of the high standards that they bring to the business.
Recruiting/Screening/Selecting CCC can begin the recruiting process by posting internally within the
organization, offering positioned to be available in Arizona to the current staff in Michigan.
Recruitment would then turn to external candidates; postings can be made in local newspapers, job
fair participation and the use of temporary worker agencies. Screening should include drug testing,
background checks for any criminal activity that might preclude a candidate from employment with
CCC. Additionally a financial background check is covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, which
requires third party investigators to secure the applicants written consent prior to doing a background
check (Cascio, 2013). Job skill testing can also be utilized to identify potential candidates that may not
be qualified for a particular position but with training may be able to obtain the skills

Snow Globe Accident
Did you know that the snow globe was made by accident.
The snow globe was invented in Vienna, Austria by Erwin Perzy in 1900. Perzy was a fine instruments
mechanic, when a surgeon came to him with a problem. Although the surgeon had electric light bulbs
in his operating theater, the newly invented bulb didn t cast great light. He wanted to know if Perzy
could make the bulbs brighter. So, he got to work. As Perzy hunted for inspiration, he noticed that
shoemakers had found an interesting trick, by filling glass globes with water and putting them in front
of a candle they created a tiny spotlight in their shops. When Perzy tried the trick with the lightbulb, he
found out that the brightness didn t improve. But then he thought what

Important Features Of The Pantheon
another significant part of the pantheon. As well as keeping the decorative features seen in the interior,
it maintains the traditional design of a Roman temple. The porch, measuring 33.1x13.6m has frontal
colonnade showing eight Corinthian columns made of marbles. The porch followed mainly a Hellenic
Italian tradition added the sense of balance. There is a total of sixteen of Corinthian columns located
around the Rotunda so that they can hold on to the weight of the dome as well as to be used as
decorative purposes. There are total of eight niches, each containing seven planetary gods statues.
Preparing for other weather conditions such as rain, Romans made a small hole on the floor
corresponding to the location of oculus for the rain water to escape and to prevent flooding. The dome
is one of the important features of The Pantheon. Diameter measuring 43.4m wide, the architects built
a thick wall to sustain the weight of the dome. Also they used heavier concrete such as brick at the
bottom, and lighter stone near the opening, such as pumice to lessen the weigh load. Romans designed
the dome to get thinner as it reach the top and in the rows of 5, the 28 recessed coffers decreased in
size as it approached to oculus. These coffering were designed for decorative purpose along as a tool
to lessen the weight of the roof. On the top of the dome there is an oculus, the 9m wide hole which

The Benefits Of World Hunger
World hunger has become an increasingly prominent issue around the world and in America alike.
People are now getting to the point where they live in such poverty that they cannot afford food to
feed their family or themselves. While commonly thought to only occur in third world countries, it is
becoming an issue in first world countries as well as the line between wealthy and poor continues to
grow. Some 795 million people in the world do not have enough food to lead a healthy active life.
That s about one in nine people on the earth. The vast majority of the world s hungry people live in
developing countries, where 12.9 percent of the population is undernourished (FWP.) With this
number only continuing to increase, it has been noted that there must be efforts to stop it. One such
action is known as basic income, where every single person in the country is given a form of social
security to live off of. While it has had its up s and down s, it has been successful overall. As
previously mentioned, basic income is a form of social security that is essentially provided to every
citizen of a country, however, there are some countries where basic income is only granted to those
living in poorer parts of the country. Opponents to the idea often argue that it is very similar to that of
a welfare system, where people are going to be discouraged to work because they are receiving
guaranteed money by the government for doing nothing, though, sometimes it is not the government

Rhetorical Situations In Broadcasting
Inside the discourse community of broadcasting there are a variety of genres that are used. These
genres or forms of writing are all shaped by different situations and factors that the author experiences
as a whole. Which can change how to the writing is produced. Utah State professor Keith Grant Davie
explains ...examin[ing] rhetorical situations as sets of interacting influences from which rhetoric
arises, and which rhetoric in turn influences is...one of the most important things we can do (Grant
Davie 264). Grant Davie goes on to add that certain aspects regarding rhetorical situations. The ones
that he lists are the purpose of it being produced, the contributors to the product, those who will be

These are only used by sport broadcasters therefore someone who would is videographer might not be
able to understand it, someone who is already member of the broadcasting discourse community. Also
if they audience is unfamiliar with stats in certain sports when the broadcaster might read off one they
will be lost and confused. For example, if an announcer who was calling play by paly for football said
that the quarterback has a completion percentage of fifty, someone who doesn t understand football
fully will not understand. In some sports like baseball that are being introduced with new stats
everyday like holds, war, effectively, etc. Might even confuse the audience who might be knowledge
about that sport. That s why sometimes when they might mention an unfamiliar statistic; they ll
explain how it s measured. Finally since each spotting board is different depending on the rhetor there
can also be constraints between those who also use spotting boards too. The spotting board genre is
quite fascinating. Ted Husing was a broadcaster in the 1920 s and he even used spotting boards, but he
admits that the broadcasters before him used them too (Lewis 3). Therefore the origin of this genre
remains a mystery inside the broadcasting discourse community. This causes many factors that all play
a part in affecting its rhetorical

Tiverton Road and Wolverton Street Corridor Improvement
Faculty of Technology and Built Environment
Introduction
We were asked by our Highway engineering lecturer to write a report about a current or previous
project listed on the Auckland transport site. After a research on the site, I have chosen to write about
Tiverton road Wolverton street corridor improvement.
Tiverton road and Wolverton Street, play a major role in linking the suburbs of New Lynn and New
Windsor. The 2.2km stretch of road carries an average of 31400 vehicles per day. And a two lane
addition was required to allow for the ease of travel and safer environment for both motorist and
pedestrian users. The project has been given less than 2 years to be completed starting in 2014.
Background
Back in 1920 s, the work had started in developing an arterial road that helped link west Auckland
with its central suburbs. The 2.2km stretch of road added great commercial and residential benefits in
linking and intersecting with major roads in the area.
On September 2012, the road works started after a site blessing held by local iwi Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei
and Ngaitai ki tamaki in conjunction with Auckland Transport and Downer NZ.
Problem statement
With the increased traffic flow caused by the popularity of the road and the current motorway
extension to Maioro Street, the road required widening to lower traffic jams during rush hours.
Moreover, with the increase of residents in the area, the street required safer and better utilities such as
safer footpaths,

Orpha Queen Symbolism
Examples of symbolism can be found throughout the novel The Orphan Queen. The first example of
symbolism involves the Ospreys, a ragtag gang of children living in the streets of Skyvale. When
wraith began to become a major problem across the realms, the Indigo Kingdom initiated the Wraith
Alliance, a treaty they wanted all of the realms to sign that would ban the use of magic. Aecor, the
kingdom Wil was once the princess of, was the only realm that refused to sign. Thus, the Indigo
Kingdom invaded and took over in what was known as the One Night War. All of the adult nobility of
Aecor were killed, but the noble children were spared and taken to an orphanage in Skyvale. With the

They are waiting for an opportunity to reclaim their lost kingdom, and they are willing to do whatever

symbolized by their namesake bird and the national symbol of their homeland Aecor. Ospreys circle
high above water before diving in and plucking fish out, carrying their prey back to their homes (All
About Birds: Osprey). This is reminiscent of the way the Osprey kids not only steal things, quickly
and stealthily, but then carry them back to their home where they share the wealth. The Osprey gang is
a very tight knit group, but Patrick Lien is the unopposed leader. This shows another similarity to their
avian counterparts, as the oldest osprey of a clutch of eggs will dominate the others (Osprey). Osprey
birds have recently made a significant comeback in numbers, since the chemical DDT was banned
(All About Birds: Osprey). This shows a resilience that can also be seen in the way the Osprey gang
refuses to give up on each other or on their kingdom. The final and most clear way the osprey
symbolizes the Osprey gang is in their fight to win back their

of the potential energy policy implications. While there are various programmes and policies affected
by the EO, this report will look at the implementation of the policy objectives and have a focus on the
reconsideration of the Clean Power Plan. Section 1 outlines several policy objectives. Generally, the

Furthermore, the EO sets several deadlines: 45 days for relevant agencies to submit a plan to the
Director of the Office of Management and Budget; 120 days to submit a draft final report with
recommendations; and 180 days for the plans to be finalized. While the varying agencies are
interpreting the EO and reevaluating relevant policies, involvement is viable. Any party with an
interest in the continuation, modification, or cancellation of any policy included in the immediate
review should consider the opportunities to participate in this decision making process. Subsequently,
the varying agencies are directed to coordinate an effort to realize their recommendations and to
suspend, revise, or rescind, or publish for notice and comment proposed rules suspending, revising, or
rescinding, those actions, as appropriate and consistent with law. The effort to realize the
recommendations and reverse any burden identified should be consistent with the policy objectives
previously mentioned. Section 3 announced a rescission of certain energy and climate related
presidential and regulatory action. This disregard of the previous environmental policy may be
meaningful. To mention a few, this section rescinds a couple reports by President Obama. There was

The Fear Of Fear In The Salem Witch Trials
Throughout history fear causes people to act in a way that is today is thought of as absurd. In the
Salem Witch trials, people commit murder for what they believe to be dangerous, yet they were acts of
the fear of the unknown. Within the Puritan belief, the followers are so scared of the wrath of God that
they will take radical action to prove they are good Christians. Hysteria can cause groups of people to
come together and act upon a radical belief that can lead to a point of ignorance of reality. While fear
itself is a healthy emotion, irrational fears cause people to take irrational actions. In The Science of
Fear by Daniel Gardner, the aspects of human s response to fear are explained in four different groups.
When people experience fear, naturally they come together with the people who share similar beliefs
(Gardner 15). Gardner describes this gravitation as group polarization and with this comes
confirmation bias. When the groups of people come together with the bias they hold to be true if
confirmed and strengthened by those who share them (Gardner 15). The actions of these groups are
based on the two systems of thinking. System one thinking is fast, involving feelings and emotions.
Whereas system two thinking is based on reason and logic within one s actions (Gardner 15).
However, the actions caused by fear are sometimes out of the thought of fear rather than the reality of
it. The reality is that the only thing we have to fear ... if fear itself

Investigating The Crime Of A Criminal Trial
In chapter thirteen, Anderson and Gardner discuss the measures in gathering evidence to identify an
offender in a criminal trial. In a criminal trial, the prosecutor must prove the crime alleged of the
suspect did occur (prove of corpus delicti), and/or that the defendant committed or was a party to the
crime committed. Therefore, direct and circumstantial evidence is used to substantiate the defendant
has committed the crime. Identification evidence may account for several factors, in which include:
identification by the victim of the crime. Identification by the eyewitnesses. Confessions, admissions,
or incriminating statements by the defendant or his associates showing that the defendant committed
the crime or was a party to the crime. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
319). Mistaken eyewitness identification is usually due to a number of estimator variables: Stress,
Duration of events, Witness character, Memory decay, and several others. These variables initially can
cause the witness to make a misidentification.
In addition to eyewitness identification, line ups and showups are used to identify a witness or a
suspect. Lineups are an identification procedure, in which the witness or the victim of the crime is able
to observe and pick out any possible suspects related to the crime. As for a showup, the witness of the
crime is able to view the suspect alone, without other possible suspects. For example, when a suspect
is apprehended, a police officer could rely on a showup procedure and present the victim of the crime
with a drive by of the detainee in an effort to identify the suspect. These identification procedures are
important for the witness because they provided a comfortable setting in which can help them be as
precise as possible in making a identification.
The use of photographs or sketches are essential in identifying a suspect of a crime. Nonsuggestive
photo arrays include multiple photographs, usually six or eight, showing a person of the same general
description. The

The 1950s, following a time of strife (World War II), sparked America s eagerness to start enjoying

How Poliomyelitis Is A Contagious And Aggressive Virus
Poliomyelitis is a highly contagious and aggressive virus which attacks motor neurones attached to the
spinal chord and brainstem. There is no cure for Polio however there is a vaccine which contains a
mixture of live and weakened strains of the three types of polio; Bulbar polio, spinal polio and
bulbospinal polio. Poliomyelitis is an aggressive virus which is able to pass through the three line of
defence. It is passed through the first line by the faecal/oral route and enters the bloodstream. It
invades the T and B cells which are activated in the innate immune system and is fought by the
antibodies in the stage of the Adaptive immune system, where symptoms are already exposed. In order
to eradicate Polio more accessible treatment in developing countries as well as better sanitation is
needed.
Poliomyelitis, or Polio is a highly contagious disease caused by the Polio virus, which can affect the
spinal cord and brainstem. Although 90 95 % of who are acutely affected by Polio are Asymptomatic,
5 10% experience mild symptoms such as a head ache, fever, fatigue, throat pain and stomach pain
and 0.5 % experience muscle symptoms such as muscle weakness, muscle spasming/twitching, loss of

The Definition Of A Hero In Beowulf
Hero, a person who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities.
As well as a person who in the face of danger, combats adversity through feats of ingenuity, bravery,
or strength often sacrificing their own personal concerns for a greater good. While there is a basic
definition for hero, people may have different ideas of what it means to be a hero. While we tend to
favorite the idea of a well dressed superhuman like Superman or Captain America. A hero can be a
firefighter, a man in spandex and a cape, a Geatish warrior, legendary knight and king, or a protective
archangel. All of them have the basic underlying definition previously stated. Now that we have
covered the basics of a hero and established a somewhat simple definition for it. I would like to go
back to heroes of British literature and discuss the popularized definition of them have changed over
time.
First, I would like to start with Beowulf, a heroic epic about an a Geatish warrior during the Anglo
Saxon times. Beowulf is respected and could even be called a legend in some places. He fights in the
name of his king and for his men. He even goes out of his way to help other kings and kingdoms.
Beowulf goes through the whole heroic journey. He fights of powerful and magical monsters such as
Grendel, a demonic man eating outcast. Grendel is not Beowulf s or his king s problem. However, he
goes out of his way to protect others, even when they question his strength and courage.

A Classroom Divided By Martin Luther King Jr.
A Classroom Divided, is a Classroom United On the day following the assassination of Martin Luther
King Jr., third grade teacher Mrs. Elliot altered her lesson plans surrounding the class unit on
discrimination to concretely teach the students by having them experience the unfairness of bigotry
firsthand. In 1970, the lesson was filmed for a documentary to demonstrate the implications of
stereotypes. The class was split into two groups based on a characteristic of minimal importance in the
societal context: eye color, to develop stereotypical behaviors among the students. On Tuesday, the
first day of the experiment, the students were deemed the blue eyed students and the brown eyed
students. In order, to develop the same type of racism that is generated among whites and colors, Mrs.
Elliot started to describe the differences between the two groups. The brown eyed students were
deemed less intelligent and inform that they would be allowed five minutes less time for recess, not be
allowed to use the drinking fountain and had to wear collars so they could be identified. Additionally,
the two groups could not participate in any activities together and to demonstrate their incompetence
that was initially dismissed by the blue eyed students she provided examples in which the student hit
their little sister or forgot their glasses deeming them forgetful, incompetent and mean. For the second
day of the lesson, the roles were reversed and similar stereotypes were appointed.

Housing In Ancient Rome
Over the past few weeks, we have learned that Roman culture comprised of classism; it determined
what type of positions one could hold in the government or military, and housing is no different. There
were three common types of dwellings during that time; the insulae, the domus, and the villa.
Depending on your wealth, you could own one or more of these types of dwellings. Beginning with
the insulae, these building are similar to apartment buildings we see today. There were multiple levels
in each building, and they were centered around one courtyard. An interesting aspect about insulae
was the ground level consisted of shops; providing residents supplies they need. This type of dwelling
was common for the lower class, as they were smaller and more affordable. Dwellings for the less
fortunate expanded upward, while dwellings for the rich remained ground level but expanded outward.
The domus was a common dwelling for upper class citizens, they were grand homes with multiple
amenities. Furthermore, they displayed some of the beautiful craftsmanship of the Roman culture.
Extra courtyards and pools were dependent upon the resident, but there were some characteristics
customary to this type of home. A compluvium was a large opening in the ceiling of the atrium, and it
was used to let natural light inside the structure. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It was common for wealthy families to have two, one for practical use and the other for rest. The villa
designed for practical use was called villa rustica; it comprised of two courtyards, stables, a chicken
coop, and water tanks to feed the livestock. Secondly, they had a villa for relaxation, otherwise known
as villa urbana. Similar to a vacation home, it was designed to be a luxury estate for when they wanted
to get out of the city. These homes generally had swimming pools, steam baths, beautiful gardens, and
rooms for all weather

Who Is Emerson A Transcendentalist
Emerson a transcenddentalist and Bierce a realist. What do these two have in common? These men
both have an abstract view on life. While Emerson a self reliant and individualistic thinker would say
not to conform and not to obey established authority. Meanwhile Bierce would find the humor in all
the events around him that most would just overlook. Bierce a man who takes the dull and tedious
tasks of everyday life and makes comedy out of them in the form of satire. Bierce s works bring a
humorous twist to things you wouldn t have thought comedy could be made of. In some of his satire
there is some undertones of truth that only a realist can see in life that most are too naĂŻve to see. Some

The Statue Of Donatello s Saint George
Donatello s Saint George is brave, is immovable but still human. Made from marble, the statue stands
monumentally in size at just over 6 10 . It is known that Donatello created the statue using the
subtraction method like many Renaissance sculptors. The figure itself is decorated with many objects
and clothing that are part of the whole build. The knight is seen proudly showing off his shield that has
a size of half his body. He is dressed in knightly clothing such as a chest plate, cloak, plate skirt, boots,
and gloves. The Statue is thought to represent the classical heroes that were masculine yet still
delicate. He appears to be ready for anything that comes in his way but still deep in thought. To add on
to the humanism, it is believed by most scholars that he is in contrapposto; he is resting on one foot
like a normal person. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Donatello constructed this whole figure from circa 1410 to 1415. However, the idea of the knight s
symbol came from the fact that Saint George was an actual knight in the Roman Army under the
Emperor Diocletian. His famous tale was of his victory against a plague bearing Dragon that lived in a
lake and threatened the neighboring countryside. However, this was not why Saint George was made
into a saint and/or why made into a statue. His Emperor, who thought of him as his best tribune, did
not want to kill Saint George; in fact, he offered him tremendous amounts of wealth to convert from
Christianity to Roman faith. However, with Georges loud and contempt refusals, he was ordered to be
executed and from the 4th century onward became one of the most venerated saints in

Mozart Research Paper
As we all go through school, we seem to hear the name Mozart come up quite a bit. Everyone seems
to know the name and know a few things about him, but what was he really like? What did his music
sound like? Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was an Austrian composer, keyboard player, violinist, violist,
and conductor. He was born in Salzburg Austria in 1756, and died in 1791. Wolfgang is commonly
known as a child prodigy . At a very young age, he was taught harpsichord, violin and organ by his
father, and was presented in concerts before the royalty of Europe by the age of 6. (Ellsberg) At the
age of thirteen Wolfgang had already written symphonies, concertos, and sonatas and was known all
around Europe. Mozart is still known by many as the world s greatest musical genius. Wolfgang was
born to Leopold and Anna Maria Mozart on January 27th, 1756. Leopold, his father studied
philosophy, but never finished school. (Solomon) He later became a very talented violinist and
organist. Leopold and Anna Maria had seven children together, but only two survived, Wolfgang and
his older sister Maria Anna. (Solomon) Leopold was responsible for his children s education, and also
was the one to teach them music. Throughout his life, Wolfgang had written over 600 pieces of music.
Mozart was known for writing a lot of sad or depressing music. No one really understood why, but he
was always fascinated with the subject of death. Of course he wrote all of his own music, but in this
time period it was

ING5 Case Study
The ING (INhibitor of Growth) family of genes and proteins (ING1 ING5) was identified in 1996,
from PCR mediated subtractive hybridization between a normal mammary epithelial cell strain and
several transformed breast cancer cell lines, followed by an in vivo functional screen for
tumourigenesis1. The ING proteins target histone acetyltransferase (HAT) and histone deacetylase
(HDAC) complexes to the H3K4me3 mark, altering histone acetylation and gene expression2. ING4
was identified by computational analysis and is expressed in various tissues; also several splice
variants and transcripts were described for this protein3 5. The ING5 protein of the ING family, was
described by computational homology search and shares a high amino acid ... Show more content on

Also, due to the presence of the LID in all INGs, we will study if ING5 and ING4 are capable of
interacting with Lamin A in differentiating stem cells and the importance of this interaction to stem
cell differentiation.
To achieve these objectives, we will use three different mouse embryonic stem (ES) cell lines (R1, D3,
E14), already present in the lab. In ongoing studies, it was noted that these cells presented all five of
the ING genes with altered expression when they were induced to differentiate. We will first study if
altering ING5 and ING4 expression using siING5 and siING4 to decrease it and pCI ING5, pCI ING4
to increase levels, will affect differentiation and the self renewal rate of these lines. We will use sphere
formation assays to assess self renewal. We will also induce differentiation with these different
expression constructs, thus measuring the influence of these proteins in the process. To determine the
degree of differentiation with varying expression of the ING genes, we will use flow cytometry to
follow changes in stem cells markers, such as OCT4, OLIG2 and Nestin16.
Previous studies from our group already described the LID and the interaction of several ING proteins
with Lamin A12. In the conditions used in this study, ING4 was co precipitated with Lamin A.
However, even though ING5 presents the LID, it was not co precipitated12. In this work we aim to
evaluate the effects of the possible interaction between the ING4 and

milk chocolate color for your contouring shades. This is a great palette because even just in the 4

Second Language Acquisition ( Sla )
Second language acquisition (SLA) has long been a topic of interest for many researchers such as
linguists, psychologists, and educators. Through the study of SLA, researchers may better understand
the basic properties of languages, how languages are processed in the brain, and how to facilitate the
acquisition of a second language. A common topic of inquiry among SLA researchers is why some
people seem to learn new languages with ease while others do not. This question is especially
important to foreign language educators who want all of their students to succeed at becoming
proficient in a second language. In order to provide the proper support their students need, educators
must be aware of the many factors that influence SLA. In order to investigate why some language
learners appear to be more successful than others, researchers examine the differences between
individual learners. The current consensus among experts is that individual learners learn differently
depending on variables like learning opportunities, the motivation to learn, individual differences and
learning styles in second language acquisition (Bista, 2008, p. 2). Therefore an individual s success is
dependent on the combination of many factors. Educators may attempt to determine an individual s
chances at learning a language by measuring their language aptitude. While researchers thus far failed
to create a universal definition for language aptitude, they have identified some aspects of

The Four Goals Of Punishment
The four goals of punishment in the American criminal justice system are retribution, deterrence,
incapacitation, and rehabilitation. The purpose of the four goals of punishment is to ensure that the
sentence the criminal is receiving is reasonable and just. It is difficult to satisfy all of the components
to the highest degree for all criminals. All of the goals serve a different purpose and are significant in
their own way, but when combined together they create a very complex sentencing policy for
criminals. The first goal of punishment is retribution. Retribution, also known as deserved
punishment, it is when one is punished for committing a crime that harmed other people in some
manner (277; ch.9). The purpose of this goal is for the criminal to understand that if you commit a
crime, consequences will come with that. Depending on the crime that is committed will decide how
serious the punishment is. A lot of factors are considered with retribution during the sentencing
process. Factors such as the age of the defendant, their previous offense history, not only that but the
victims of the crime. The judge might give the defendant a sentence that will not only punish him for
the crime but also make the family feel that the proper sentence was given to the criminal. The next
goal of punishment is deterrence. The purpose of deterrence is to convince criminals and society to not
commit future crimes (277; ch.9). Deterrence has two separate subcategories which are

Australian Stereotype
Representations of the Australian Persona
‘Mateship
A key element of what is presented to be the Australian character is that of camaraderie, base
friendliness towards everybody, and egalitarianism, the belief that everybody is equal and should have
the same opportunities, treatment, etc. as everybody else. As such, Australians are very supportive of
democracy, compulsory voting, and are generally, in most cases, unprejudiced towards each other
based on such trivialities as, for example, social class – everybody will kick back together at the pub
for a ‘coldie in that ‘typical Aussie scene , described so well in the quote by Australian legend
Henry Lawson, one of the best known Australian poets and fiction writers of the colonial ... Show

Australian casual English, like African American speech, is one of the most complex forms of English
slang, and not always so easy to understand. Phrases such as G day Mate and Chuck a shrimp on the
barbie are well known internationally as being ‘Australian , having been made popular by Paul
Hogan s representation in the 1986 internationally highest grossing film Crocodile Dundee. Numerous
examples of the frequent use of common Australian slang can be found in the six book series Western
Wildcats by Australian author John Larkin, e.g. where phrases such as But not any more, but. is
characteristic one of the main characters, known as ‘Splinters – even when talking to the Queen of
England. In the same series, another character, Eric, is ranting about what is seen as the norms of
Australian society and the persona that is represented to be Australian, and as a part of his tirade states
Somebody who doesn t end every sentence with ‘You Know , you know?
Australian slang seems to be bent on taking the shortest, easiest possible route for words to come out
of the speaker s mouth, shortening everything to the minimum amount of syllables possible. A cup of
coffee (or tea) becomes a ‘cuppa , football becomes footy etc. This style of common Australian
speech has its roots, once again, in Australia s heritage as a convict colony – a majority of the people

Nighteen Eighty-Four by George Orwell
Wiston was member of the ruling Party in London, i the nation of Oceania. Everywhere he goes he is

including the language. The party was forcing a language called Newspeak which was used to prevent
political rebellion by getting rid of all the worlds related to it. Thinking thoughts, which was called
Thoughtcrime, was illegal, and was the worst of all the crimes. Winston was frustrated by the
oppression. He completely hated the Party and he illegally bought a diary, where he illegally wrote
down his thoughts. He had also became fixated on a Party member named O Brein, who Winston
thought was a part of a mysterious group that works against the Party. Winston worked in the Ministry
of Truth. He altered historical records to fit the needs of the Party. He noticed a coworker staring at
him, and he worried that she will turn him in for his Thoughtcrime. Winston felt troubled by the Party
s control of history. The party claimed that the alleged leader of the BrotherHood, Goldstein, was the
most dangerous man alive, but it didn t make sense to Winston. Throughout London, Winston saw
posters showing a man looking down with the words BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING YOU
everywhere he went. BigBrother was the face of the Party, but Winston never determined whether that
was true or not. Winston received a note from the dark haired girl that said I love you . She tells him

  • 4. Assignment On Divine Law STUDY QUESTIONS Chapter 4: On Divine Law 1. What does it mean to know the divine law? Basically, divine law is the kind of law that is not forced by any punishment or rewards in order to follow them. Knowing divine law means acting good and behaving in a way that follows the nature and how thing are; as an example, serving in the interest of nature which is understanding that all and every human are free and every person should have their own freedom and choice and not abusing others and doing your best to follow everything in nature in its own way. Following the divine law automatically is following the law of God because law of nature is exactly the law of God and how he made everything. Therefore, people who follow the divine law do not need any force to act and behave correctly because they truly believe in their heart and mind to the law of nature and law of God and they would not do anything but all the stuff that are correct in nature/God law. 2. What is the difference between joy and suffering? Difference between joy and suffering as its explained in the text is that when God gave us the law of nature and also gave us the free choice which is the freedom that we can choose between good and evil acts, he provided us with our own good and bad. If a person decide to act good and follow the divine law he is making himself joyful and helping himself/herself to be the person he/she decides and if the person choose to act bad and not follow the path of nature law he/she is ... The universal theme of Demeter is an obsessive mom trying to get her child back. The universal theme in The Seven Ages of Man and Demeter have similar universal themes because both themes are basically saying the choices made in life determines the future. In The Seven Ages of Man one of the stages is the life of a school boy. The school boy unwillingly attends school and lack discipline. As he grow, he grows into a more mature person. In the text it states And then the whining g schoolboy, with his satchel and shining morning face, creeping like snail unwillingly to school. The text also stated Then a soldier, Full of strange oaths, and bearded like the pard, Jealous in honor, sudden and quick in quarrel This basic is an example of a boy that made the choices to attend school and lack discipline, therefore he became a something positive in life due to his choice. ... • 6. Difference of Marketing Product and Service The Marketing of product and service are different A product is normally a thing that sold to people and mostly is tangible. Basically, the marketing of product is particularly focused on 4P s in marketing mix namely product, price, place, and promotion (Ehmke Fulton Lusk, n.d.). The marketer needs to analyze the major demand of customers in a specific market in order to find out a product that can respond the market demand. Firstly, it is necessary for marketers to focus on the strength as well as eliminate the vulnerabilities of marketed products in order to improve products to meet customer s demand as much as possible. Secondly, the price is an important factor in product marketing because of the price must be set to match with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I think product and services marketing are significantly different because of characteristic of itself. The first characteristic of services marketing is intangibility; it cannot be seen, touched or felt prior consumption. On the other hands, product marketing is tangible, the customer is able to touch, feel, taste or smell the product either before or after purchasing. For example, when customers walk through a restaurant, they might get the food smell from the restaurant but they cannot know how well of service if they do not buy the menu. Secondly, products can be stored in order to sell to the customer in the next time whereas services marketing mostly are unable to be inventoried, they are perishable. Hence, the value of service always exists at the point when it is required. Therefore, it seems to be very difficult to match supply with demand in service marketing. Thirdly, the other difference of product and services marketing is the level of relationship between the client and provider. Undoubtedly, there is much more personal contact required in services marketing than product marketing. In case of product marketing, customers and sellers may face each other just once time when they are dealing products and they might have no chance to see each other again. However, in services marketing, consumers and service providers may have to see each other frequently throughout until the contract is ended or until the last thing that consumers ... • 10. The Benefits Of World Hunger World hunger has become an increasingly prominent issue around the world and in America alike. People are now getting to the point where they live in such poverty that they cannot afford food to feed their family or themselves. While commonly thought to only occur in third world countries, it is becoming an issue in first world countries as well as the line between wealthy and poor continues to grow. Some 795 million people in the world do not have enough food to lead a healthy active life. That s about one in nine people on the earth. The vast majority of the world s hungry people live in developing countries, where 12.9 percent of the population is undernourished (FWP.) With this number only continuing to increase, it has been noted that there must be efforts to stop it. One such action is known as basic income, where every single person in the country is given a form of social security to live off of. While it has had its up s and down s, it has been successful overall. As previously mentioned, basic income is a form of social security that is essentially provided to every citizen of a country, however, there are some countries where basic income is only granted to those living in poorer parts of the country. Opponents to the idea often argue that it is very similar to that of a welfare system, where people are going to be discouraged to work because they are receiving guaranteed money by the government for doing nothing, though, sometimes it is not the government ... These genres or forms of writing are all shaped by different situations and factors that the author experiences as a whole. Which can change how to the writing is produced. Utah State professor Keith Grant Davie explains ...examin[ing] rhetorical situations as sets of interacting influences from which rhetoric arises, and which rhetoric in turn influences is...one of the most important things we can do (Grant Davie 264). These are only used by sport broadcasters therefore someone who would is videographer might not be able to understand it, someone who is already member of the broadcasting discourse community. Also if they audience is unfamiliar with stats in certain sports when the broadcaster might read off one they will be lost and confused. For example, if an announcer who was calling play by paly for football said that the quarterback has a completion percentage of fifty, someone who doesn t understand football fully will not understand. In some sports like baseball that are being introduced with new stats everyday like holds, war, effectively, etc. Might even confuse the audience who might be knowledge about that sport. That s why sometimes when they might mention an unfamiliar statistic; they ll explain how it s measured. Finally since each spotting board is different depending on the rhetor there can also be constraints between those who also use spotting boards too. The spotting board genre is quite fascinating. Ted Husing was a broadcaster in the 1920 s and he even used spotting boards, but he admits that the broadcasters before him used them too (Lewis 3). Therefore the origin of this genre remains a mystery inside the broadcasting discourse community. This causes many factors that all play a part in affecting its rhetorical ... • 12. Tiverton Road and Wolverton Street Corridor Improvement Faculty of Technology and Built Environment Introduction We were asked by our Highway engineering lecturer to write a report about a current or previous project listed on the Auckland transport site. After a research on the site, I have chosen to write about Tiverton road Wolverton street corridor improvement. Tiverton road and Wolverton Street, play a major role in linking the suburbs of New Lynn and New Windsor. The 2.2km stretch of road carries an average of 31400 vehicles per day. And a two lane addition was required to allow for the ease of travel and safer environment for both motorist and pedestrian users. The project has been given less than 2 years to be completed starting in 2014. Background Back in 1920 s, the work had started in developing an arterial road that helped link west Auckland with its central suburbs. The 2.2km stretch of road added great commercial and residential benefits in linking and intersecting with major roads in the area. On September 2012, the road works started after a site blessing held by local iwi Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei and Ngaitai ki tamaki in conjunction with Auckland Transport and Downer NZ. Problem statement With the increased traffic flow caused by the popularity of the road and the current motorway extension to Maioro Street, the road required widening to lower traffic jams during rush hours. Moreover, with the increase of residents in the area, the street required safer and better utilities such as safer footpaths, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The first example of symbolism involves the Ospreys, a ragtag gang of children living in the streets of Skyvale. When wraith began to become a major problem across the realms, the Indigo Kingdom initiated the Wraith Alliance, a treaty they wanted all of the realms to sign that would ban the use of magic. Aecor, the kingdom Wil was once the princess of, was the only realm that refused to sign. Thus, the Indigo Kingdom invaded and took over in what was known as the One Night War. They are waiting for an opportunity to reclaim their lost kingdom, and they are willing to do whatever it takes. This gang of children is proud, strong, and tough far beyond their years. The Ospreys are symbolized by their namesake bird and the national symbol of their homeland Aecor. Ospreys circle high above water before diving in and plucking fish out, carrying their prey back to their homes (All About Birds: Osprey). This is reminiscent of the way the Osprey kids not only steal things, quickly and stealthily, but then carry them back to their home where they share the wealth. The Osprey gang is a very tight knit group, but Patrick Lien is the unopposed leader. This shows another similarity to their avian counterparts, as the oldest osprey of a clutch of eggs will dominate the others (Osprey). Osprey birds have recently made a significant comeback in numbers, since the chemical DDT was banned (All About Birds: Osprey). • 16. The Fear Of Fear In The Salem Witch Trials Throughout history fear causes people to act in a way that is today is thought of as absurd. In the Salem Witch trials, people commit murder for what they believe to be dangerous, yet they were acts of the fear of the unknown. Within the Puritan belief, the followers are so scared of the wrath of God that they will take radical action to prove they are good Christians. Hysteria can cause groups of people to come together and act upon a radical belief that can lead to a point of ignorance of reality. While fear itself is a healthy emotion, irrational fears cause people to take irrational actions. In The Science of Fear by Daniel Gardner, the aspects of human s response to fear are explained in four different groups. When people experience fear, naturally they come together with the people who share similar beliefs (Gardner 15). Gardner describes this gravitation as group polarization and with this comes confirmation bias. When the groups of people come together with the bias they hold to be true if confirmed and strengthened by those who share them (Gardner 15). The actions of these groups are based on the two systems of thinking. System one thinking is fast, involving feelings and emotions. Whereas system two thinking is based on reason and logic within one s actions (Gardner 15). However, the actions caused by fear are sometimes out of the thought of fear rather than the reality of it. In a criminal trial, the prosecutor must prove the crime alleged of the suspect did occur (prove of corpus delicti), and/or that the defendant committed or was a party to the crime committed. Therefore, direct and circumstantial evidence is used to substantiate the defendant has committed the crime. Identification evidence may account for several factors, in which include: identification by the victim of the crime. Identification by the eyewitnesses. Confessions, admissions, or incriminating statements by the defendant or his associates showing that the defendant committed the crime or was a party to the crime. ... Mistaken eyewitness identification is usually due to a number of estimator variables: Stress, Duration of events, Witness character, Memory decay, and several others. These variables initially can cause the witness to make a misidentification. In addition to eyewitness identification, line ups and showups are used to identify a witness or a suspect. Lineups are an identification procedure, in which the witness or the victim of the crime is able to observe and pick out any possible suspects related to the crime. As for a showup, the witness of the crime is able to view the suspect alone, without other possible suspects. For example, when a suspect is apprehended, a police officer could rely on a showup procedure and present the victim of the crime with a drive by of the detainee in an effort to identify the suspect. These identification procedures are important for the witness because they provided a comfortable setting in which can help them be as precise as possible in making a identification. The use of photographs or sketches are essential in identifying a suspect of a crime. There is no cure for Polio however there is a vaccine which contains a mixture of live and weakened strains of the three types of polio; Bulbar polio, spinal polio and bulbospinal polio. Poliomyelitis is an aggressive virus which is able to pass through the three line of defence. It is passed through the first line by the faecal/oral route and enters the bloodstream. It invades the T and B cells which are activated in the innate immune system and is fought by the antibodies in the stage of the Adaptive immune system, where symptoms are already exposed. In order to eradicate Polio more accessible treatment in developing countries as well as better sanitation is needed. In 1970, the lesson was filmed for a documentary to demonstrate the implications of stereotypes. The class was split into two groups based on a characteristic of minimal importance in the societal context: eye color, to develop stereotypical behaviors among the students. On Tuesday, the first day of the experiment, the students were deemed the blue eyed students and the brown eyed students. In order, to develop the same type of racism that is generated among whites and colors, Mrs. Elliot started to describe the differences between the two groups. The brown eyed students were deemed less intelligent and inform that they would be allowed five minutes less time for recess, not be allowed to use the drinking fountain and had to wear collars so they could be identified. Additionally, the two groups could not participate in any activities together and to demonstrate their incompetence that was initially dismissed by the blue eyed students she provided examples in which the student hit their little sister or forgot their glasses deeming them forgetful, incompetent and mean. This type of dwelling was common for the lower class, as they were smaller and more affordable. • 30. Second Language Acquisition ( Sla ) Second language acquisition (SLA) has long been a topic of interest for many researchers such as linguists, psychologists, and educators. Through the study of SLA, researchers may better understand the basic properties of languages, how languages are processed in the brain, and how to facilitate the acquisition of a second language. A common topic of inquiry among SLA researchers is why some people seem to learn new languages with ease while others do not. This question is especially important to foreign language educators who want all of their students to succeed at becoming proficient in a second language. In order to provide the proper support their students need, educators must be aware of the many factors that influence SLA. In order to investigate why some language learners appear to be more successful than others, researchers examine the differences between individual learners. The current consensus among experts is that individual learners learn differently depending on variables like learning opportunities, the motivation to learn, individual differences and learning styles in second language acquisition (Bista, 2008, p. 2). Therefore an individual s success is dependent on the combination of many factors. Educators may attempt to determine an individual s chances at learning a language by measuring their language aptitude. The purpose of the four goals of punishment is to ensure that the sentence the criminal is receiving is reasonable and just. It is difficult to satisfy all of the components to the highest degree for all criminals. All of the goals serve a different purpose and are significant in their own way, but when combined together they create a very complex sentencing policy for criminals. The first goal of punishment is retribution. Retribution, also known as deserved punishment, it is when one is punished for committing a crime that harmed other people in some manner (277; ch.9). The purpose of this goal is for the criminal to understand that if you commit a crime, consequences will come with that. Depending on the crime that is committed will decide how serious the punishment is. A lot of factors are considered with retribution during the sentencing process. Factors such as the age of the defendant, their previous offense history, not only that but the victims of the crime. The judge might give the defendant a sentence that will not only punish him for the crime but also make the family feel that the proper sentence was given to the criminal. The next goal of punishment is deterrence. The purpose of deterrence is to convince criminals and society to not commit future crimes (277; ch.9).
