Does Johnathan Swift actually believe cannibalism will help the economy? Besides
the obvious health concerns about cannibalism, Johnathan Swift does make some
odd but questionably thought out points, however there is evidence to prove that
Swift is only being satirical. This evidence can be seen in Swift s past, where he has
offered real solutions to Irelands economic problems, only to be ignored. In a
frustrated attempt to get attention, he came up with the the famous A Modest Proposal
, where he detailed a disgraceful way to increase profits. Satirecan also be shown here
