The Examination Of Forensic Science
Science is frequently viewed as a way to examine the world and its contiguous atmosphere. Coming
from the word scientia, which is Latin and means knowledge, science is a methodical readiness that
creates and arranges information in the form of testable justifications and expectations about the world
that we know. Many ideas fall directly into this category. Because of this, a lot of notions and concepts
can be categorized as a science discipline. It is apparent that certain science disciplines examine
different features and functionalities of the universe. One specific science that is exceptionally
captivating and enticing is the idea of forensics. Forensic science is a systematic technique of
collecting and investigating evidence about previous events. The idea of forensic science however is a
comprehensive discipline and can be fragmented down into numerous classifications. Forensic science
can be distributed into such groupings as forensic psychology, forensic anthropology, forensic biology,
and even, but not limited to forensic biology. The examination of forensic chemistry is unbelievably
beneficial since it can be used in many aspects in life and can even be considered as a career path. One
of the prime professional openings for a path in forensic chemistry is aiding and functioning with law
enforcement administrators. Forensic chemistry within law enforcement is of tremendous importance
since the majority of seized evidence may be evaluated that way.

The Reign Of King Louis Xiv
The Reign of King Louis XIV
Louis XIV had a passion for glory and used it to fight four wars because he was motivated by personal
and dynastic considerations.
King Louis XIV was born in 1638. He became king at age four, and received only a mediocre
education. He was taught nothing beyond pious works and decorous behavior at religious observances.
He came into full power of France in 1661. Louis married Maria Theresa of Spain in 1659. When
Mazarin died in 1661, Louis decided he didn t want a powerful advisor and then started to change
history. Louis had the longest reign in European history of 73 years.
King Louis XIV distrusted the Protestants and everything they stood for. Because of that, he revoked
the Edict of Nantes and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Louis XIV was charitable. He did open a veterans hospital in 1670 to house ex soldiers. He opened
academies for dance, inscriptions, sciences, architecture and music. These academies set standards for
taste. He annexed valuable land such as Flanders and Franche Comte. Louis decision to suppress the
Protestant religion can be seen as a political move to join France under one religion and to build
national unity.
Louis became unpopular because he was so sure of himself. He felt that everyone should revolve
around him, so he took the sun as his image, because they had just discovered that the world revolved
around the sun. He persecuted Protestants. He also used bribery. King Louis XIV forced Protestants to
pay extra taxes and forced the people who kept the Protestant religion to house soldiers whenever they
were in town. He taxed the Protestants because they chose to believe in something different then his
beliefs. Louis threw out the Edict of Nantes because it gave people the freedom to choose their own
religion and he believed that people should have only one religion, Catholicism. This act took away
the people s right to freedom of religion.
He increased tax levels by three times which caused everyone to struggle; the peasants could barely
pay and the middle class was angered at having to pay. Although he started a veterans hospital the real
reason he started it was to keep the ex solders from causing disturbance in

British Politician Polarized Opinion Like Margaret Thatcher
No British politician polarized opinion like Margaret Thatcher did. Loved and hated in equal measure,
she dominated the political landscape for fifteen years, first as Leader of the Opposition and the
Leader of the Conservative Party, and then as Prime Minister. Strengthened by her ideas, she had a
vision for the United Kingdom, one that put it back on recovery and destroyed the socialist state
established by the Post War consensus. She took on the image of the Iron Lady and fought for
economic and political freedom around the world. Her new approach and personal style revolutionized
not just Britain, but in fact, the entire world. Margaret Hilda Thatcher (née Roberts) was born October
13, 1925 in Grantham, Lincolnshire, England. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Without a doubt, Margaret Thatcher was an incredibly intelligent woman, earning the spot of Head
Girl at her local grammar school and later attending Oxford University, where she studied research
chemistry. Because Margaret Thatcher was a woman though, she was unable to attend the famed
Oxford political debates, and became discontent with the Conservative establishment. As she wrote in
her diary, these Conservatives seem to hate Capitalism! Regardless of her frustrations though, she
fascinated her peers at the Oxford Conservatives Association with her writings and in 1946, they
elected her as one of the first female Presidents of the organization; a prelude to the 1975 leadership
contest. Graduating the following year in 1947, Thatcher began a career in chemistry, meanwhile
studying for the bar in her spare time. In 1949, Thatcher made her first political run in the Labour held
seat of Dartford. Previous Conservative candidates hobnobbed only with the elite of Dartford, but
Thatcher took an entirely different approach. Foreshadowing her strategy in the 1979 general election,
she instead went to the poorer parts of town; spoke with the common people, and began relating with
them. The strategy worked, cutting the Labour lead in half, but failed to provide Thatcher with a
victory. Trying repeatedly in 1950 and 1951, she still could not win the election. While in pursuit of a
Parliamentary seat, she met an affluent executive, Denis Thatcher.

Health Insurance Failure
In 1915 a failed attempt was made for a national health insurance program. Another attempt was made
in 1935 with a single line authorizing a study of health insurance in the Social Security bill. In 1945,
President Harry Truman endorsed universal health insurance. To be followed by a 1951, plan for Old
Age and Survivors Insurance was introduced. Then in 1965, Medicare was passed under then
President Lyndon Johnson (Oberlander, 2015). The model bill drafted by Progressives in 1915 for
national health insurance, contained limited coverage for the working class and those who made less
than $1200 a year, which included dependents. Included were hospitals, maternity benefits, nurses,
physicians and death benefits for funerals of $50. Employers, ... Show more content on

The line which was removed would have authorized the study of health insurance (Oberlander, 2015)
(Palmer, 1999). President Harry Truman in 1945 supported a national health insurance, in which;
opponents labeled it social medicine in their crusade against Communism. Truman s plan was to be a
single plan which would include all classes of society. It failure was due partially to the stigmatism of
anti communism and as before the special interest groups (Oberlander, 2015)(Palmer, 1999). President
Lyndon Johnson, by restricting eligibility to the elderly, limiting hospital care and connecting it to
Social Security, Medicare became a viable plan. Moving the concentration of the debate to the aged
community a grass roots support of seniors pushed the agenda into the national spotlight. An eldercare
plan was introduced by the AMA of a voluntary insurance was broader benefits. The government
countered expanding it proposal to include physician service, which intern became Medicare and
Medicaid. Political concessions were made with doctors, and hospitals. The Part A comprehensive
health insurance and Part B voluntary physician insurance. President Johnson finally signed it into law
in 1965 as part of the Great Society Legislation (Oberlander, 2015)(Palmer,

Chuck Berry Biography
Chuck Berry is known by many as the Father of rock n roll. Berry was born in St. Louis Missouri on
October 18, 1926. Growing up Chuck wasn t the most innocent person. By the age of 17 he had
dropped out of school and was sent to jail for being involved in an armed robbery. In the early 1950 s,
after getting out of jail early for good behavior, Chuck joined a band started playing in a jazz club. By
1955 he was signed to chess records. His music style was a mix of country and blues. Chuck wrote,
preformed, and produced all his songs. In 1959 he released the album Berry is on Top. The cover of

It has a very fun and high school friendly feel to it. The album has 12 songs on it. The first song on the
album is called Almost Grown. When I listen to the song the first thing I noticed about it was the
course, Don t bother me, leave me alone. Anyways I m almost grown. I think this song is the way for
Chuck to tell people to leave me alone because he s been trying to get his life together. Some of the
instruments that I noticed were the guitar and the piano. The beat of the song is very energetic and it
made me want to dance. The next two songs on the album are called Carol and Maybelline . Both of
them are named after females. Carol has a very Hawaiian/beachy feel to it. It sounds upbeat and
groovy, but the lyrics kind of sound like a advice. For example, Oh, Carol, don t let him steal your
heart away. If feels like he s talking to younger girls about being careful around men. I think this is
something a high school girl in the 50 s would listen to. Maybelline on the other hand has a very
country/hillbilly feel to it. Sounds like a fun song to listen to if you were drunk at a bar. It is a little
faster than your average country song but it still works really well with the instruments that are

Surgical Smoke Essay
Abstract
Surgical smoke is generated during the cutting or coagulation of tissue by a wide variety of devices
including laser, vessel sealing devices and electro cautery. Quantity of smoke generated is variable
based on the amount of tissue, open or closed procedure, device utilized and functional temperature of
the device. The contents of the smoke generated contain numerable volatile organic compounds.
Several carcinogenic particles have been isolated in surgical smoke. Both viral and bacterial
components have been identified in smoke particles. The size of particles in surgical smoke is
predominantly smaller than 2.5µM. Inhaled small particles have known negative health effects. Smoke
temperature was not identified as an evaluated vector of risk in the literature. The literature does not
definitively link surgical smoke exposure to injury or disease. Preventing workplace exposure to
tobacco smoke has reduced mortality. Operating room personnel are likely at risk from chronic
exposure to toxins, small particle inhalation and possible infectious transmissions from smoke. Smoke

The Origins Of The Ancient Civilization
Could you imagine the entire population of The United States just disappearing? That is what
happened to the Mayans. In a time span of only one hundred years, the whole Maya population was
wiped out. There are several theories about the cause of their decline. Due to their disappearance the
great Mayan inventions were lost in time until modern day anthropologists discovered that they made
their own calendar and language along with many other things. What anthropologists do know for sure
is that the Mayans were an ancient Mesoamerican civilization dating back to 250 B.C made up of
more than 19 million people (smithsonian.com). Their empire centered in the tropical lowlands of
what is now Guatemala. The Maya people reached their peak of power around the 6th century A.D.
The Mayans were successful in many ways; History.com, a website dedicated to informing the public
about important historical information, states, The Maya excelled at agriculture, pottery, hieroglyph
writing, calendar making and mathematics, and left behind an astonishing amount of impressive
architecture and symbolic artwork (Maya). The Mayans were an intelligent people, we know they
created the Mayan calendar, had their own written language, they also had their own way of building
large pyramids by hand. The Maya also made paper from tree bark and wrote in books made from this
paper, these books were known as codices. Only four of these codices are known to have survived.

Cultural And Cultural Diversity In Hey Arnold
As a kid, watching television was one of my favorite things to do. It seemed as if when the TV was on,
the world stopped moving for an hour or two. There were many shows from my childhood that helped
shape me into the person I am today, but the one that stood out amongst the rest was Hey Arnold. The
hit 90 s show Hey Arnold enculturated children through illustrating social acceptance, self confidence,
and displaying resilience through hardships.
As a young child growing up in the late 90s/early 00s, Hey Arnold helped me become a more
culturally and socially accepting individual through the consistent exposure of different ethnicities and
family structures. For example, Arnold s grandparents housed two immigrants Mr. Hyunh from
Vietnam and Oskar Kokoshka from Czechoslovakia. These two men from two entirely different
cultural backgrounds were able to share a home, as well as guide Arnold through several issues he
faced growing up. Arnold showed a full capacity of love and acceptance for these men s diverse race
and backgrounds. Another example of the ethnic diversity in Hey Arnold is Arnold s friends. His best
friend Gerald, a young sporty African American boy, Phoebe a young Japanese American girl, and his
Jewish friend Harold are prime examples of the cultural and racial diversity the show displayed. None
of these characters were treated poorly or persecuted based on race or culture. In the episode Harold s

impending snow storm, ticket sales for any event would plummet because of the fact that people
would not want to risk going out into the storm just to see a show. Other changes that could influence

The Irish Declaration Of Independence
The cartoon above is called The Irish Declaration of Independence that We Are Familiar With
published in 1883 by Frederick Burr Opper. Opper is regarded as one of the pioneers of American
newspaper comic strips, best known for his comic strip Happy Hooligan. His comic characters were
featured in magazine gag cartoons, covers, political cartoons and comic strips for six decades. The
magazine this cartoon is featured in was called Puck Magazine. Puck Magazine was America s first
successful humor magazine, which is to say it was long lived (1876 1918), influential, and quite
prosperous. It published three large color cartoons in each issue, which for the first ten years or so
were all political in nature. Later they were increasingly purely comic or illustrative. At Puck s height,
the cartoons were among the country s most important political pronouncements of the week. In
addition to that, Puck played a critical role in the evolution of American humor, moving the art from
its tall tales and dialect laden roots toward the more urbane and literary humor associated with
magazines like the New Yorker.
While this cartoon is based in America the prejudice against Irish natives and immigrants had long
been in issue. Over the centuries Ireland has dealt with conquerors, loss of culture, poverty, hunger
and political strife. The emerald isle was entirely conquered and colonized by the British in the second
part of the sixteenth century. After the colonization Ireland s inhabitants

road safety policies more effective. Many factors play a role in road safety including following the

Basically the higher the speed of a vehicle, the more difficult collision avoidance becomes and the
greater the damage if a collision does occur. Speeding is defined as the act or an instance of driving,
especially a motor vehicle, faster than is allowed by law. Speeding is often one component of
aggressive driving which is defined as committing a combination of moving traffic offenses so as to
endanger other persons or property. There are strong direct relationships between the speed at which
we drive and the risk of crash involvement and the injuries sustained if a crash results. The probability
of injury and the severity of those injuries increases exponentially with vehicle speed. Even small
increases in speeds result in a large increase in the forces experienced by the vehicle occupants or
other road users. Put simply, the faster you drive, the harder you hit and the more severe the injuries
you or someone else are likely to suffer. Traveling over the speed limit can be especially dangerous in
bad weather conditions. Speeding was a factor in 53 percent of fatal crashes that occurred when there

Comparison Of Les Miserables And The Kite Runner
Throughout history, people have held people to standards and judged people. In Les Miserables and
the Kite Runner both societies had ideas on what was civilized and what was barbaric. This can be
seen when characters had to change who they were in order to fit into what was civilized and not be
different. In Les Miserables a demonstration of this is shown when Jean Valjean had to pretend to be
something he s not in order to fit in with the society. Jean Valjean was labeled as a convict just
because he stole some bread to help save his family from starvation. He then had to change his name
and become a whole new person just because society viewed him as a bad person because he is a
convict. What had been the life of this soul . Looking back on his life he wonders what had become of
it and why society felt that he is barbaric. Even though he was a good person society treated him like
he was an awful person just because he had been a convict. They did not know the full story of how he
was trying to save his family, they just automatically judged him.
Fortunately, in the end Jean Valjean turned his life around and became a better person. The Bishop
helped him turn his life around by giving him a chance to be a better person. Jean Valjean my brother
you no longer belong to evil. With this silver, I have bought your soul. I have ransomed you from fear
and hatred, and now I give you back to God . The Bishop knew that Jean Valjean wasn t evil and

Disadvantages Of The Civil War
Wars are not fought in a vacuum, and the Civil War is no exception. The Confederacy which lacked
the manpower, industry, and infrastructure of their Northern counterpart lost the war on the battlefield.
However, a failure to examine the social and cultural landscape before the bombardment of Fort

I believe that examining the war from 1846 1876 a 30 year period encapsulating the Wilmot Proviso,
the Compromise of 1850, the Civil War itself and Reconstruction places the war within the proper
context. Military tactics should be discussed. One can t talk about a war and never mention a battle.

A University Of A Campus Statue Essay
Every day millions of people in the world are making an impact and difference that should be
recognized and honored. To continue, this is the reason why there are so many statues in the world,
including in art museums, in libraries, and even on the campuses of colleges, to show forth the honor
and respect people have towards them for making a difference in their lives. For instance, a campus
statue represents a symbolism to an individual who has made an impact on the grounds of a college
campus that will be remembered for a life time. In this case, Columbus State University located in
Columbus, Georgia, should have a campus statue in honor of a person who brought so much life on
the premises of this college that can impact every life that steps foot here. However, there is a
possibility of four people who can represent this statue: Callie McGinnis, Robert Arnold, Walter
Richards, and William Clifford Tucker. To begin, Callie McGinnis is currently still present on Earth
and was Columbus State University s first Dean of Librarian who moved to the city of Columbus,
Georgia from New Orleans, Louisiana to work as a reference librarian on July 1, 1974 to January 5,

A Report On The Fire
INTRODUCTION
This is a report compiled by Musawenkosi Nkabinde a student at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan
University while conducting practicals in the kingdom of Swaziland at a company called Montigny
Forest Products. It is a company of about plus minus 75 000 hacters where a variety of species are
planted e.g. Pinus elliote, Patula, Taeda, Pexq, Eucalyptus Smithii, dannai etc. All these are planted for
different products dominating one being the production of planks which means the company keeps
many of its trees for many years till they mature.
The main purpose of this report is to give clarity on the fire, to determine the origin, determine causes
of the fire, damages caused by the fire and to develop ideas on how can unwanted fires like these can
be prevented from reoccurring in our plantations like the one occurred in compartment C22 on the17
of JULY 2015 at 17:00pm till 23:00pm. A number of plus minus 600 pinus Elliote trees were affected
by this fire.
HISTORY OF THE AREA
It had been known for years that the belt dividing C22 and C14 has a problem with smoldering
materials, usually when that belt is burnt a tanker and two labourers are left behind extinguishing the
smoldering woods ensuring nothing lights up, but on this day the tanker had a breakdown two days
ago so it was unavailable and the was no other resource to take up its place it. Nearby these
compartments are wattle jungles which are always feared when burning fire belts knowing that once

As these values are greater than any value recognized on the provided chart in appendix G of the

calculated values. As there was no control group to compare the experiment results with, giving the
experimental values any significance would be nearly impossible without statistical tests (such as the
chi squared test). The pill bugs behavioral response would highly suggest that its ideal environment is
a cool and dark location. The behavior could be considered an adaptation as the drive to inhabit the
ideal environment for its needs would lead to survival and reproduction. As a crustacean with gills and
the need for a damp environment to breath, a cool and dark place is more likely than a well lit and
warm place to retain the moisture needed to survive. When exposed to heat or light, the pill bug is
likely to become dehydrated and not survive, so the drive to get out of such conditions would increase

Security in the Office
What measures should office employees take to ensure office security?
Why is office security important?
Office security is important because security threats, in particular, theft and embezzlement, do take
place in small businesses.
What is embezzlement?
Embezzlement occurs when the company s property are misappropriated by the employee whom the
property is entrusted. In simple terms, this is the act of the employees stealing property from their own
company.
What warning signs of embezzlement should employees look out for?
An increase in overall sales returns could mean that the accounts receivable payments of the company
have been concealed.
If there are unusual bad debts within the company, this could mean employee fraud has taken place in
the company. In addition, if the cash or credit sales has declined or increased slightly from previous
period, this could mean that some of the company s sales are not recorded.
Bounced checks received by the companies could mean that funds are being taken out from the
business bank account without authority.
Shortages of inventory could mean that employee pilferage has taken place within the company.
A decline in profit and an increase in expenses incurred by the company can mean that cash is
withdrawn from the company s account illegitimately.
Slow collection of business accounts receivable can be used by employees to hide embezzlement.
Steps to preventing employee embezzlement:
In order to prevent dishonest acts from

The Unconditional Trust In William Carlos Williams The Use...
Doctors have maintained credibility for their ability to treat and cure for centuries. By earning the title
of Doctor, it is common for them to be given automatic respect and admiration. However, William
Carlos Williams The Use of Force reveals the phenomenon that unconditional trust may paradoxically
have a negative impact on the doctor patient relationship. His narration contrasts the characteristics
expected in a doctor to that of his own personal feelings and emotions.
The parents of a young girl urgently ask Doctor Williams to check on their daughter, concerned that
she was sick with diphtheria. As the doctor approaches the young girl, he narrates, I smiled in my best
professional manner and asking for the child s first name I said, come on, Mathilda, open your mouth
and let s take a look at your throat ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Doctors are perceived as selfless, altruistic, and amicable saviors which convinces the general public
that doctors should be trusted. As Lee observed, the narrator warns his readers of the danger that can
come along with blind trust. The warning implied in the story of a doctor s exploitation of professional
privileges is for his patients to protect themselves (Axelrod, 466) In the beginning, the doctor narrator
showed characteristics of wanting to help and represented himself as trustworthy to the young girl in
order to gain her cooperation. His thoughts suggested good intentions as well, I m here to look at her
throat at the chance that she might have diphtheria and possibly die of it (Axelrod, 502). However,
many would argue that the doctor came off as pretentious because he brushed off all signs of courtesy
made by the parents. Interestingly, the parents were not bothered by the doctor s discount and
proceeded to assist

The Journey Of Man By Spencer Wells
Anthropology and genetics are two fields that, when put together, discover some amazing things. Most
of these amazing things are written in the book The Journey of Man, by Spencer Wells. In it, he
explains where humans originated from, and how we came to populate the entire globe. It is both
humbling and riveting, and a great start to understanding how much work truly goes in to studying our
past. The Journey of Man was an interesting non fictional anthropological literary piece where the
author sought to explain how modern humans came to inhabit the world we know today. He began by
talking about the mitochondrial DNA passed from mother to daughter, or the maternal line. Using this
it was discovered that all people had a common female ancestor who lived in Africa about 200,000
years ago. This was one of the first steps in supporting the out of Africa hypothesis. However, mtDNA
could not give all the answers to how humans moved throughout the world, and for that he turned to
the male Y chromosome. By examining this, he and many other geneticists discovered the different
changes throughout populations, and could estimate how long ago they occurred. According to Wells,
modern humans were in Africa 60,000 years ago, and from that point began to migrate outward. For
each new area, such as Asia, the Middle East, Australia, and others, there were specific
polymorphisms on the Y chromosome that defined each population. By using this technique, he was
able to map out when modern

The Effect Of Conditioned Response On Hr Student s Name...
Effect of Conditioned Response on HR Student s name Institution Abstract This report is based on an
experiment to investigate the effect t of a tone conditioned stimuli to heart rate. The study used 56
participants mean age 24.20 years where 15 were male and 41 were female. The study was purely
experimental where the participants were subjected to a specified tone either at rest or when hopping
and then were asked to count their heart beat rate using the palpation method. The experiment took
place in three phases pre test, training and the post test. Heart rates results for each participant was
recorded in each phase and the mean heart rate was calculated for the pre test and post test. Results
indicated higher mean rates and standard deviation for post test in comparison to the pre test. A sample
t test was also carried out for pre test vs post test mean hear rate measurements. Analysis of the results
showed that tone conditioned stimuli led to increased heart rates. Effect of Conditioned Response on
HR A conditioned stimulus in classical conditioning can be defined as a learned response in relation to
a previously neutral stimulus (Domjan, Grau, amp; Krause, 2010). It is a learned reflexive response
that is evoked when one is exposed to the same response (Schreurs, Smith Bell, amp; Burhans, 2011).
While there has been an increasing acute awareness in relation to the interactions of heart rate with
conditioned responses, can heart rates really be altered through

Foltz Gray D. The Native American effect It is clear that throughout many years there has been an
exemption of treatment when talking about the Native Americans in the United States. Supposedly
every individual is endowed with the right of freedom, equality, and of seeking for happiness, but
Native Americans were treated irrationally. From the discovery of America, to the founding fathers
and settlers, the treatment and attitude towards Native Americans has been unsettling at best. The
colonial policies toward the Native Americans affected the Indians in ways that changed their
relationship between their tribes and the new nation. Cabeza de Vaca, Roger Williams, Cotton Mather,

Roger Williams was an American Protestant theologian, and the first American proponent of religious
freedom and the separation of church and state. He was a student of Native American languages and
an advocate for fair dealings with Native Americans. Having learned their language and customs,
Williams gave up the idea of being a missionary and never baptized a single Indian. Having
established a rapport with and understanding off the Native Americans, Williams became a keen and
sympathetic observer of the native people. He called on Puritans to deal fairly with the Native
Americans. Williams nevertheless saw that the American Indians were no better or worse that the
rogues who dealt with them, and that in fact they possessed a marked degree of civility (Williams The
Norton Anthology American Literature p.174). During the late years of the 17th century, the Native
Americans and Puritan settlers had struggled to get along. Due to their clashing views on political and
cultural issues, neither faction regarded the other as a respectable group. Cotton Mather displays a
totally antagonistic view towards the Native Americans. Mather proves a negative relationship
between the natives and the settlers by displaying the barbarous behavior or violent actions of those
whom they consider to be culpable of wickedness. I believe when Benjamin Franklin was writing

Twelfth Night Essay
In Shakespeare s play, Twelfth Night or What you Will, the characters are involved in a plot complete
with trickery, disguise, and love. Each character is defined not by his or her gender or true identity, but
by the role they are forced to take because of the complicated situation that arises. Unlike their gender,
the speech the characters give an insight to their true personalities. In the Twelfth Night, the character
Duke Orsino uses flowery and over dramatic language, long poetic sentence structure, and
melodramatic metaphors to display his overemotional romantic nature despite the different emotions
in his various speeches. Duke Orsino s repeated usage of poetical verse and poetic devices to describe
his woes from love set him ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Enough no more! (1.1.6 7). He accentuates his original metaphor by personifying music and
comparing it to a breeze that carries the flowers odor with it. Until line 8, Orsino does not mention his
love explicitly. Instead, he establishes the feeling of yearning by referring to symbols of love such as
music and flowers. Orsino ends his long speech with, Even in a minute, So full of shapes is fancy./
That it alone is high fantastical. (1.1.14 15). By stating that love is a wonderful figment of
imagination, Orsino reinforces the previous metaphorical and vague language he uses in the beginning
of the speech. That it [love] alone is high fantastical (1.1.15) also shows that he is a true romantic
because he is in love with the concept of love rather than the person themselves. Furthermore, he line,
...Enough no more! (1.1.7) contradicts with the previous line, Give me excess of it, that, surfeiting,
(1.1.4) which proves that Orsino is very dramatic in character because he constantly vacillates in his
actions and desires. He is emotionally unstable at times in the play and thus acquires a dramatic
behavior.
In Act 5, Orsino delivers a speech to Olivia in order to express his broken heart and pine over his
unreciprocated feelings. However, by drawing out the speech with allusions, excessive language, and
metaphors, Shakespeare portrays Orsino as an overemotional and romance driven character.

The General Objectives Of Business Operations
The general objectives of business operations are to make profit and remain as a going concern for the
foreseeable future. For this reason, the management teams of such businesses must have
comprehensive control over the recurrent costs of business operations. Employee remuneration and
administration of other compensations require the company to part with financial resource which
would otherwise been put into other development activities. As a result, the management at Moscow
Aerostar hotel had the mandate to secure their human resource levels at optimal levels. However, the

The hotel also faced the challenge of employee satisfaction. Shea (pg 10) points out that some of the
employees at the Moscow Aerostar Hotel possessed the view that compensations that were issued by
the hotel was not enough. Additionally, others maintained contrary political view on their employer.
Besides, Shea (pg11) goes further to explain that most of the employees were ungrateful for the
employment opportunity and the role of the management in steering the hotel. Additionally, according
to Shea (pg11), the management team faced high levels of frustration from employees lack of
commitment to the strategic plans set by the business. Most of the employees possessed the desire to
work on short term basis with little concern about the future expectations from the business. What is
your analysis/explanation of the factors that may be causing these problems at Aerostar? (Use Phase 1
of the Change Model) The problems faced by Moscow Aerostar Hotel reduce the chances of its
success both in the short and long run. The first notable factor that has brought about the problems
faced by the hotel is the hostile political relationship between the western countries and Russia. It is
notable that most of the employees of the hotel possess the hostile idea that Moscow Aerostar hotel

Albert Bierstadt, Puget Sound On The Pacific Coast
The painting that I choose to write my art paper on is Albert Bierstadt, Puget Sound on the Pacific
Coast you can find it on page 33 in our textbook. I chose to write on this painting for several reasons
that I am about to go in to.
The subject of this painting to me is a picture of the Pacific coast when a rainstorm is starting to come
inland. The context is Indians on boats just gotten to the coast to avoid the storm that has already
started at sea.
The painting also has many other elements that are used. The painting is represential, and it is also
used naturalism because it is not exactly that way that Puget Sound really is however it does look
similar to many of the beaches on the Pacific Coast. It is also realistic for how the coast

Fredrick Douglass Response to Uncle Tom s Cabin
Frederick Douglass was arguably the most prominent African American abolitionist during the mid
19th century. He established his notoriety through his narrative entitled Narrative of the Life of
Frederick Douglass, an American Slave published in 1845. Frederick Douglass also produced an
African American newspaper, Frederick Douglass Paper, which highlighted the reception and critiques
of Harriet Beecher Stowe s Uncle Tom s Cabin. Frederick Douglass praised Uncle Tom s Cabin
through not only his writing but in the critiques and letters contained in his newspaper. It is important
to look at these reviews to understand Douglass intentions. However, C.V.S. from the Provincial ...

Ethiop also hopes the novel s impact will continue to look out until every Uncle Tom is restored to his

On 2 December 1853, Douglass himself wrote and published a letter to Harriet Beecher Stowe
concerning her added involvement in abolitionism in Frederick Douglass Paper. In this letter Douglass
directly, under his own name, praises Uncle Tom s Cabin as a useful tool in the fight for abolitionism.
He writes, I desire to express, dear Madam, my deep sense of the value of the services which you have
already rendered my afflicted and persecuted people, by the publication of your inimitable book on the
subject of slavery. That contribution to our bleeding cause, alone, involves us in a debt of gratitude
which cannot be measured . . . . (Douglass) . By writing this letter, Douglass establishes the novel as
both valuable and sympathetic to the plight of the enslaved African American. His stature as the
premiere African American abolitionist affirms this to the public.
However, Douglass politics on colonization were in direct opposition to Uncle Tom s Cabin. C.V.S., a
writer for Provincial Freeman, writes about Douglass, . . . [H]e pronounces colonization in Africa a

Contributions Of John Adams
On October 30, 1735, John Adams was born to John Adams, Sr. and Susanna Boylston Adams, in
Braintree (or what is now called: Quincy), Massachusetts. He was direct descendant of Henry Adams,
on his father s side, and John Alden, on his mother s side, both of whom were Pilgrims on the
Mayflower in 1638 (Biography.com). Attending a local school during his primary education, going to
Harvard College with a scholarship, at age sixteen, graduating at age twenty, Adams was well
prepared for his future political career and involvement in American Independence. Through his
political career, his writings, and his diplomatic skills, John Adams greatly contributed to the
formation of the United States government, before, during, and after the Revolutionary War.
John Adam studied law under James Putnam and by 1758 had become one of the most well known,
respected attorneys in Massachusetts (Lossing, 28). Accordingly, in 1772, he was elected to the
Massachusetts Legislature, where he defended Thomas Preston during one of the many Boston
Massacre trials. A year or two later, Adams was appointed delegate to the First Continental Congress
in Philadelphia, in 1774, and again the following year to the Second Continental Congress, in which
he nominated George Washington to Commander of the Continental army. He then nominated Thomas
Jefferson to head the drafting comity for writing the Declaration of Independence (History.com). And
on July 4, 1776, John Adams was among the fifty six delegates

  • 2. The Examination Of Forensic Science Science is frequently viewed as a way to examine the world and its contiguous atmosphere. Coming from the word scientia, which is Latin and means knowledge, science is a methodical readiness that creates and arranges information in the form of testable justifications and expectations about the world that we know. Many ideas fall directly into this category. Because of this, a lot of notions and concepts can be categorized as a science discipline. It is apparent that certain science disciplines examine different features and functionalities of the universe. One specific science that is exceptionally captivating and enticing is the idea of forensics. Forensic science is a systematic technique of collecting and investigating evidence about previous events. The idea of forensic science however is a comprehensive discipline and can be fragmented down into numerous classifications. Forensic science can be distributed into such groupings as forensic psychology, forensic anthropology, forensic biology, and even, but not limited to forensic biology. The examination of forensic chemistry is unbelievably beneficial since it can be used in many aspects in life and can even be considered as a career path. One of the prime professional openings for a path in forensic chemistry is aiding and functioning with law enforcement administrators. Forensic chemistry within law enforcement is of tremendous importance since the majority of seized evidence may be evaluated that way. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. The Reign Of King Louis Xiv The Reign of King Louis XIV Louis XIV had a passion for glory and used it to fight four wars because he was motivated by personal and dynastic considerations. King Louis XIV was born in 1638. He became king at age four, and received only a mediocre education. He was taught nothing beyond pious works and decorous behavior at religious observances. He came into full power of France in 1661. Louis married Maria Theresa of Spain in 1659. When Mazarin died in 1661, Louis decided he didn t want a powerful advisor and then started to change history. Louis had the longest reign in European history of 73 years. King Louis XIV distrusted the Protestants and everything they stood for. Because of that, he revoked the Edict of Nantes and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Louis XIV was charitable. He did open a veterans hospital in 1670 to house ex soldiers. He opened academies for dance, inscriptions, sciences, architecture and music. These academies set standards for taste. He annexed valuable land such as Flanders and Franche Comte. Louis decision to suppress the Protestant religion can be seen as a political move to join France under one religion and to build national unity. Louis became unpopular because he was so sure of himself. He felt that everyone should revolve around him, so he took the sun as his image, because they had just discovered that the world revolved around the sun. He persecuted Protestants. He also used bribery. King Louis XIV forced Protestants to pay extra taxes and forced the people who kept the Protestant religion to house soldiers whenever they were in town. He taxed the Protestants because they chose to believe in something different then his beliefs. Louis threw out the Edict of Nantes because it gave people the freedom to choose their own religion and he believed that people should have only one religion, Catholicism. This act took away the people s right to freedom of religion. He increased tax levels by three times which caused everyone to struggle; the peasants could barely pay and the middle class was angered at having to pay. Although he started a veterans hospital the real reason he started it was to keep the ex solders from causing disturbance in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. British Politician Polarized Opinion Like Margaret Thatcher No British politician polarized opinion like Margaret Thatcher did. Loved and hated in equal measure, she dominated the political landscape for fifteen years, first as Leader of the Opposition and the Leader of the Conservative Party, and then as Prime Minister. Strengthened by her ideas, she had a vision for the United Kingdom, one that put it back on recovery and destroyed the socialist state established by the Post War consensus. She took on the image of the Iron Lady and fought for economic and political freedom around the world. Her new approach and personal style revolutionized not just Britain, but in fact, the entire world. Margaret Hilda Thatcher (née Roberts) was born October 13, 1925 in Grantham, Lincolnshire, England. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Without a doubt, Margaret Thatcher was an incredibly intelligent woman, earning the spot of Head Girl at her local grammar school and later attending Oxford University, where she studied research chemistry. Because Margaret Thatcher was a woman though, she was unable to attend the famed Oxford political debates, and became discontent with the Conservative establishment. As she wrote in her diary, these Conservatives seem to hate Capitalism! Regardless of her frustrations though, she fascinated her peers at the Oxford Conservatives Association with her writings and in 1946, they elected her as one of the first female Presidents of the organization; a prelude to the 1975 leadership contest. Graduating the following year in 1947, Thatcher began a career in chemistry, meanwhile studying for the bar in her spare time. In 1949, Thatcher made her first political run in the Labour held seat of Dartford. Previous Conservative candidates hobnobbed only with the elite of Dartford, but Thatcher took an entirely different approach. Foreshadowing her strategy in the 1979 general election, she instead went to the poorer parts of town; spoke with the common people, and began relating with them. The strategy worked, cutting the Labour lead in half, but failed to provide Thatcher with a victory. Trying repeatedly in 1950 and 1951, she still could not win the election. While in pursuit of a Parliamentary seat, she met an affluent executive, Denis Thatcher. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Another attempt was made in 1935 with a single line authorizing a study of health insurance in the Social Security bill. In 1945, President Harry Truman endorsed universal health insurance. To be followed by a 1951, plan for Old Age and Survivors Insurance was introduced. Then in 1965, Medicare was passed under then President Lyndon Johnson (Oberlander, 2015). The model bill drafted by Progressives in 1915 for national health insurance, contained limited coverage for the working class and those who made less than $1200 a year, which included dependents. The line which was removed would have authorized the study of health insurance (Oberlander, 2015) (Palmer, 1999). President Harry Truman in 1945 supported a national health insurance, in which; opponents labeled it social medicine in their crusade against Communism. Truman s plan was to be a single plan which would include all classes of society. It failure was due partially to the stigmatism of anti communism and as before the special interest groups (Oberlander, 2015)(Palmer, 1999). President Lyndon Johnson, by restricting eligibility to the elderly, limiting hospital care and connecting it to Social Security, Medicare became a viable plan. Moving the concentration of the debate to the aged community a grass roots support of seniors pushed the agenda into the national spotlight. An eldercare plan was introduced by the AMA of a voluntary insurance was broader benefits. The government countered expanding it proposal to include physician service, which intern became Medicare and Medicaid. Political concessions were made with doctors, and hospitals. When I listen to the song the first thing I noticed about it was the course, Don t bother me, leave me alone. Anyways I m almost grown. I think this song is the way for Chuck to tell people to leave me alone because he s been trying to get his life together. Some of the instruments that I noticed were the guitar and the piano. The beat of the song is very energetic and it made me want to dance. The next two songs on the album are called Carol and Maybelline . Both of them are named after females. Carol has a very Hawaiian/beachy feel to it. It sounds upbeat and groovy, but the lyrics kind of sound like a advice. For example, Oh, Carol, don t let him steal your heart away. If feels like he s talking to younger girls about being careful around men. I think this is something a high school girl in the 50 s would listen to. • 11. The Origins Of The Ancient Civilization Could you imagine the entire population of The United States just disappearing? That is what happened to the Mayans. In a time span of only one hundred years, the whole Maya population was wiped out. There are several theories about the cause of their decline. Due to their disappearance the great Mayan inventions were lost in time until modern day anthropologists discovered that they made their own calendar and language along with many other things. What anthropologists do know for sure is that the Mayans were an ancient Mesoamerican civilization dating back to 250 B.C made up of more than 19 million people (smithsonian.com). Their empire centered in the tropical lowlands of what is now Guatemala. The Maya people reached their peak of power around the 6th century A.D. The Mayans were successful in many ways; History.com, a website dedicated to informing the public about important historical information, states, The Maya excelled at agriculture, pottery, hieroglyph writing, calendar making and mathematics, and left behind an astonishing amount of impressive architecture and symbolic artwork (Maya). The Mayans were an intelligent people, we know they created the Mayan calendar, had their own written language, they also had their own way of building large pyramids by hand. • 12. Cultural And Cultural Diversity In Hey Arnold As a kid, watching television was one of my favorite things to do. It seemed as if when the TV was on, the world stopped moving for an hour or two. There were many shows from my childhood that helped shape me into the person I am today, but the one that stood out amongst the rest was Hey Arnold. The hit 90 s show Hey Arnold enculturated children through illustrating social acceptance, self confidence, and displaying resilience through hardships. As a young child growing up in the late 90s/early 00s, Hey Arnold helped me become a more culturally and socially accepting individual through the consistent exposure of different ethnicities and family structures. For example, Arnold s grandparents housed two immigrants Mr. Hyunh from Vietnam and Oskar Kokoshka from Czechoslovakia. These two men from two entirely different cultural backgrounds were able to share a home, as well as guide Arnold through several issues he faced growing up. Arnold showed a full capacity of love and acceptance for these men s diverse race and backgrounds. Another example of the ethnic diversity in Hey Arnold is Arnold s friends. His best friend Gerald, a young sporty African American boy, Phoebe a young Japanese American girl, and his Jewish friend Harold are prime examples of the cultural and racial diversity the show displayed. None of these characters were treated poorly or persecuted based on race or culture. In the episode Harold s Bar Mitzvah , Harold is forced to abandon his friends ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In the event of an impending snow storm, ticket sales for any event would plummet because of the fact that people would not want to risk going out into the storm just to see a show. Opper is regarded as one of the pioneers of American newspaper comic strips, best known for his comic strip Happy Hooligan. His comic characters were featured in magazine gag cartoons, covers, political cartoons and comic strips for six decades. The magazine this cartoon is featured in was called Puck Magazine. Puck Magazine was America s first successful humor magazine, which is to say it was long lived (1876 1918), influential, and quite prosperous. It published three large color cartoons in each issue, which for the first ten years or so were all political in nature. Later they were increasingly purely comic or illustrative. At Puck s height, the cartoons were among the country s most important political pronouncements of the week. In addition to that, Puck played a critical role in the evolution of American humor, moving the art from its tall tales and dialect laden roots toward the more urbane and literary humor associated with magazines like the New Yorker. While this cartoon is based in America the prejudice against Irish natives and immigrants had long been in issue. Over the centuries Ireland has dealt with conquerors, loss of culture, poverty, hunger and political strife. The emerald isle was entirely conquered and colonized by the British in the second part of the sixteenth century. After the colonization Ireland s inhabitants ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Basically the higher the speed of a vehicle, the more difficult collision avoidance becomes and the greater the damage if a collision does occur. Speeding is defined as the act or an instance of driving, especially a motor vehicle, faster than is allowed by law. Speeding is often one component of aggressive driving which is defined as committing a combination of moving traffic offenses so as to endanger other persons or property. There are strong direct relationships between the speed at which we drive and the risk of crash involvement and the injuries sustained if a crash results. The probability of injury and the severity of those injuries increases exponentially with vehicle speed. Even small increases in speeds result in a large increase in the forces experienced by the vehicle occupants or other road users. Put simply, the faster you drive, the harder you hit and the more severe the injuries you or someone else are likely to suffer. Traveling over the speed limit can be especially dangerous in bad weather conditions. Speeding was a factor in 53 percent of fatal crashes that occurred when there was snow or slush on ... • 16. Comparison Of Les Miserables And The Kite Runner Throughout history, people have held people to standards and judged people. In Les Miserables and the Kite Runner both societies had ideas on what was civilized and what was barbaric. This can be seen when characters had to change who they were in order to fit into what was civilized and not be different. In Les Miserables a demonstration of this is shown when Jean Valjean had to pretend to be something he s not in order to fit in with the society. Jean Valjean was labeled as a convict just because he stole some bread to help save his family from starvation. He then had to change his name and become a whole new person just because society viewed him as a bad person because he is a convict. What had been the life of this soul . The Confederacy which lacked the manpower, industry, and infrastructure of their Northern counterpart lost the war on the battlefield. I believe that examining the war from 1846 1876 a 30 year period encapsulating the Wilmot Proviso, the Compromise of 1850, the Civil War itself and Reconstruction places the war within the proper context. • 18. A University Of A Campus Statue Essay Every day millions of people in the world are making an impact and difference that should be recognized and honored. To continue, this is the reason why there are so many statues in the world, including in art museums, in libraries, and even on the campuses of colleges, to show forth the honor and respect people have towards them for making a difference in their lives. For instance, a campus statue represents a symbolism to an individual who has made an impact on the grounds of a college campus that will be remembered for a life time. In this case, Columbus State University located in Columbus, Georgia, should have a campus statue in honor of a person who brought so much life on the premises of this college that can impact every life that steps foot here. However, there is a possibility of four people who can represent this statue: Callie McGinnis, Robert Arnold, Walter Richards, and William Clifford Tucker. • 24. The Journey Of Man By Spencer Wells Anthropology and genetics are two fields that, when put together, discover some amazing things. Most of these amazing things are written in the book The Journey of Man, by Spencer Wells. In it, he explains where humans originated from, and how we came to populate the entire globe. It is both humbling and riveting, and a great start to understanding how much work truly goes in to studying our past. The Journey of Man was an interesting non fictional anthropological literary piece where the author sought to explain how modern humans came to inhabit the world we know today. He began by talking about the mitochondrial DNA passed from mother to daughter, or the maternal line. Using this it was discovered that all people had a common female ancestor who lived in Africa about 200,000 years ago. This was one of the first steps in supporting the out of Africa hypothesis. However, mtDNA could not give all the answers to how humans moved throughout the world, and for that he turned to the male Y chromosome. By examining this, he and many other geneticists discovered the different changes throughout populations, and could estimate how long ago they occurred. According to Wells, modern humans were in Africa 60,000 years ago, and from that point began to migrate outward. For each new area, such as Asia, the Middle East, Australia, and others, there were specific polymorphisms on the Y chromosome that defined each population. By using this technique, he was able to map out when modern ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
