Ciaran's blog documents the process of creating a short film from research and planning to production and evaluation. The blog uses a simple color scheme and basic fonts that create a cohesive style mirroring the black and white film. Various media like videos, photos, and software are used to provide insight into each stage of making the film and improving the research, script, camerawork, and final product. The evaluation recaps the project using InDesign but could be strengthened with additional multimedia.

2.  Ciaran Davis blog’s design is very simple but is also
very clever, this is because of the colour schemes
which are used.The colours of black, grey and white
is important as it follows the main conventions of his
short film which is a black and white film.
Furthermore the font which is used is also very basic
however it doesn’t take the effect away from the
video and if the internet existed in the 1930’s it would
probably looked familiar to this blog.
 Furthermore it also flows in the sense that all the
research and planning comes first which is then
followed by the film posters and advertisement's
which is then lastly followed by the short film its self
which is important because when you go on to
Ciaran’s blog it will show his film first which is the
most important.

3.  Ciaran’s blog has a wide of use of different media’s
which is very important for him to have a successful
blog.The constant use of videos is important because it
gives the reader of his blog a lot more insight to how
and why he made his short film in this particular way.
He has a good use of pictures and a caption with each
one which helps explains what they are and how
important they are to his film.
 Furthermore he has also used a good range of other
software's and programmes, for example he has used
Issuu,Vimeo, Prezi and Celtx all to display many
different aspects of his coursework however doing this
lead to him making a successful video because of how
good his research and planning aspects of his
coursework was.

4.  Research:
 Overall Ciaran’s research section is very good in the sense that it is
in a lot of detail and would have given him a really good idea about
the codes and conventions for a short film and gave him a really
good idea of the short film industry. For example his post which
researches the film noir target audiences is a video with a huge
amount of writing explaining it in more detail.This is important as
it would have given him a better understanding about who he
should aim his music video at.
 Planning:
 In this section he has gone into great detail explaining what the
script is going to be and how he can constantly improve,
furthermore it also has many posts about the camera shots which
he is going to be using to make the most effective music video
possible.

5.  Construction:
 This includes many different videos
showing the film as it continues to be
made and when each different scene is
filmed it has been uploaded which gives
the reader a lot more of a insight into his
video and how it was made.
 Final Product:
 This particular posts has the final film
video, the films article, the poster and
there is a explanation to them all and
what importance they are.

6.  Ciaran's evaluation has been made on
the programme InDesign the same way I
did last year at AS, this is hugely
effective as it displays all the appropriate
information in the right way and the use
of the pictures in the magazine is again
more interesting to read than if it was
just plain writing. However I feel to make
it even better he could have used more
media’s in the evaluation. For example
he could have links going off to other
web pages which would make it a even
more interesting read.
