In accordance with Policy Letter #13 signed 22 May and DTO 12-129, on 22 June we will begin turning Motorcycle Operators away from the ACPs that are not utilizing the proper PPE. Beginning next week, we will begin handing a flyer to all motorcycle riders entering the installation who are not conforming to the new policy letter; we will also continue our public affairs campaign to inform Soldiers and the public about the new policy.

The introduction of DLAU and the CCB & CCX licensing model caused quite a stir in the HCL community. As a Notes and Domino customer, you may have faced challenges with unexpected user counts and license costs. - 2. I have used technology in many different ways to assist me when I was researching existing media products, planning, constructing and evaluating my final three products. Using technology
- 3. I have been using my blog to post initial ideas and research throughout the course. To make navigating through my blog easier, I have been categorizing each post upon creation. I found blogging to be a very useful way of working because it meant that I could add to work as I was progressing through work. The fact that uses the internet means that I can add to a post anywhere and at any time and the blog will be updated immediately. Wordpress also had many features to make my blog more visually appealing. I could customize the layout and look of my blog at ease. WordPress
- 4. When I was researching to find similar films and posters, I found that IMDB was a great source. It contains a vast amount of information regarding films and TV shows. It also had a specific section on horror, which I used to find trailers for modern horror films. I visited Totalfilm.com and Empire.com to see the sort of articles that they produce. I also used Google to search for existing film trailers and their conventions. I decided to get responses from people face to face regarding the conventions of my own trailer. This was because I felt that people were more likely to give natural, genuine responses when confronted in person rather than over a poll for example. I was also able to collect more information than I would be able to in a poll on my blog. IMDB and responses to my trailer
- 5. I have uploaded all of my draft trailers onto YouTube.com that proved to be very helpful because of the positive feedback that other users posted on the video pages. YouTube allowed me to upload each of my draft trailers free of cost. I also used YouTube to find various film trailers to review and tutorials which would help me to further extend my knowledge in video editing software that we were using. I have not had any issues with copyright when uploading my videos. YouTube
- 6. Adobe Premier is a very powerful piece of video editing software. To begin with, it was a bit daunting when using Premiere Elements because I was not familiar with all of the available tools and settings. Pretty soon, with the help from online video tutorials on YouTube, I was quickly getting to grips with everything that it had to offer. Editing the trailer for “Fish Tank” helped with this and made me more confident when adding titles, cutting clips and dragging clips around the timeline, and adding basic effects. After Effects proved to be more difficult to use because it was more complicated than Elements. However, I was able to use it effectively to produce the ident at the start of my trailer and adding special effects footage as overlays. Adobe Premiere
- 7. Photoshop was hard to use at first but I soon became confident using layers, adding drop shadows, adding text. It became second nature. I increased the contrast and vibrancy of the images that I used on my poster and magazine cover so that it would stand out more on the shelves and catch peoples attention. Adobe Photoshop
- 8. I used photography in my project to capture images of my locations that I would be filming in. This helped me to decide on specific camera angles and shots to choose when filming. My skills with a video camera improved over the course of this project. The models that I used to film my trailer were the Canon 1000D SLR camera and the Fujifilm Finepix AX250 digital camera. Seeing as both cameras have the ability to film in 720p and in the same aspect ratio of 16:9 widescreen it meant that there was no noticeable difference when comparing the different footage. I am more accustomed to the weight of the cameras in my hands which allows me to capture smoother shots with minimal motion blur and reduced camera shake to ensure a steadier shot. I now know what all the functions and settings mean on the cameras and how they can benefit me in certain filming conditions such as aperture and F number. The footage is saved as QuickTime video and audio files which is easily recognised by Adobe. I was also aware of the different strengths, weaknesses and limitations of each camera which helped me to determine what types of shots to choose when I was filming. Camerawork and photography
