This document provides instructions to analyze and summarize a fresco painting from an Egyptian tomb from the 18th Dynasty depicting a fowling scene. The response should: 1) Identify elements of hieratic scale, composite view, and idealism in the painting and comment on the poses' meaning and significance. 2) Describe and explain the symbolic meaning of the river depicted and its importance in Egyptian religion and beliefs about the afterlife. 3) Comment on how contemporary society differs from ancient Egypt and how the scene might be depicted differently today, if at all.
