education. This is only a means through which man or woman can be educated”.

useful.

• Through own thematic walls and celling students
enjoy to learning

• Any form of a video will earn the interest of students.
Interactive Session :
• Encouraging students to be interactive in
class is the best way to get
them involved.
ADVANTAGE :
The method also promotes better understanding of a lesson among students as they
learn the lesson by practicing the task themselves.
It inspires the students to apply their creative ideas, knowledge and minds in
solving problems as well as promoting competitive spirit among them.
It also helps learner psychologically as they can express their emotions through
active participation in something useful.
DISADVANTAGE :
The objectives of the method can only be fulfilled if the planning of the lesson is
flawless. If there is slightest flaw in the planning, this method would do more harm
than good.
Learners have varied levels of merit and understanding. So less meritorious
students might not prepare for a task as other which might lead to failure of
objectives of the whole process.
CURRENT STATUS: HOW ACTIVITY BASED LEARNING IS PRACTICED
IN TODAY'S TIME. IS IT RELEVANT?
There are many organisations which cultivate and follow the principles of activity-
based learning. This approach started in 2010 as "Pragya" in Gujarat. There are many
private organisations in India using activity-based learning to evoke curiosity in
students. Some of the well-known ones are NumberNagar, Kumon, and Cuemath. All
of these organisations have a presence in multiple states in India.

  • 8. Videos : • Any form of a video will earn the interest of students. Interactive Session : • Encouraging students to be interactive in class is the best way to get them involved.

ADVANTAGE : The method also promotes better understanding of a lesson among students as they learn the lesson by practicing the task themselves. It inspires the students to apply their creative ideas, knowledge and minds in solving problems as well as promoting competitive spirit among them. It also helps learner psychologically as they can express their emotions through active participation in something useful.
  • 10. DISADVANTAGE : The objectives of the method can only be fulfilled if the planning of the lesson is flawless. If there is slightest flaw in the planning, this method would do more harm than good. Learners have varied levels of merit and understanding. So less meritorious students might not prepare for a task as other which might lead to failure of objectives of the whole process.
  • 11. CURRENT STATUS: HOW ACTIVITY BASED LEARNING IS PRACTICED IN TODAY'S TIME. IS IT RELEVANT? There are many organisations which cultivate and follow the principles of activity- based learning. This approach started in 2010 as "Pragya" in Gujarat. There are many private organisations in India using activity-based learning to evoke curiosity in students. Some of the well-known ones are NumberNagar, Kumon, and Cuemath. All of these organisations have a presence in multiple states in India.
