8. Edmodo is a social network designed for teacher or student interaction with an
emphasis on quick communication, polling, assignment sharing, and more. Through the analysis of the
findings gained from the students’ writing pre-test and post-test, it was concluded that the
contribution of Edmodo in writing led to a higher level of writing improvement. Using Edmodo
facilitates students in submitting their works, sharing knowledge, knowing their progress, trying to be
actively participate in teaching and learning process, interacting with each other without face-to-face
meeting, and so on. The findings revealed that after using Edmodo in post-test, the students’ score
were significantly better. Therefore, consequently, after doing some statistical test indicating that
Edmodo was effective, the researcher concluded that Edmodo is a useful way of increasing students’
achievement in writing narrative text and can play an important role in teaching.
Hopefully if the future researcher wants to conduct the next research that used
Edmodo Educational Website can be better, clearer and detail. It means that the future researcher should
not focus on writing skill and the scope of subject as the sample can be larger than this research. Because
in this research, the researcher used pre-experimental design with one group pretest and posttest. In
future researcher can use another design of research likes quasi, classroom action research, and so on. So,
the research can show the different result and can be more detail than previous research.
