The opening of the video features close ups of the three
main artists. This allows for the audience to straight
away gather an idea on what the stars images are. The
close shot allows for the audience to see the stars facial
features and build a contact and connect with the stars
through the connection to their eyes,
Throughout the opening, the change between the pace
of the shots increases, this builds upon the excitement
and momentum of the video; which is important to set
the video off to the speed which is desired by the
director.
The next sequence is of the girls dancing on the white
studio background. The shot they’ve used is a mid-shot,
this allows the audience to see the girls full outfits, this
therefore allows the audience to develop their
understanding of the girls personalities. The mid-shot
also allows for us to see their dancing to show the
connotations of their genre!
0 Now the video has gone back to the original sequence,
yet this time the girls have gone from a neutral look
on their face to a smiley, happy look. This shows them
as nice, cheerful girls which allows us to build a
deeper connection as we can warm to them. The shot
is again in a close up, which brings our focus back
from their costume to their facials expressions.
This is an individual shot, this is different to the rest of
the video. Due to the constant sequences throughout
the video, I believe the girls added a random mid shot
of all three girls to show their connection. Most of the
other shots are individual which shows the band as
single members, so the use of the midshot shows their
proximity and their supposed friendship.
The next part of the video takes a new location which
gives the video a new upbeat aspect. They have used
panning and tracking shots which follow the band
around the location ( which appears to be a car
park).They have used a new filter on the imagery aswell
which helps enable the video to be more interesting and
eyecatching. The black and white filter also suggests
that these shots are in the past and may be what theyre
singing about.
Later on in the video they feature a close up on the
girl’s feet! This highlights the girls style as you can
clearly see their heels which suggests they like to be
glamorous and maybe go out to clubs and bars due to
their dancing in the heels. The use of black heels
suggests that there maybe a sexualise effect of the girls
as the black heels can represent lust and their desire
from men

  • 2. The opening of the video features close ups of the three main artists. This allows for the audience to straight away gather an idea on what the stars images are. The close shot allows for the audience to see the stars facial features and build a contact and connect with the stars through the connection to their eyes, Throughout the opening, the change between the pace of the shots increases, this builds upon the excitement and momentum of the video; which is important to set the video off to the speed which is desired by the director.
  • 3. The next sequence is of the girls dancing on the white studio background. The shot they’ve used is a mid-shot, this allows the audience to see the girls full outfits, this therefore allows the audience to develop their understanding of the girls personalities. The mid-shot also allows for us to see their dancing to show the connotations of their genre!
  • 4. 0 Now the video has gone back to the original sequence, yet this time the girls have gone from a neutral look on their face to a smiley, happy look. This shows them as nice, cheerful girls which allows us to build a deeper connection as we can warm to them. The shot is again in a close up, which brings our focus back from their costume to their facials expressions.
  • 5. This is an individual shot, this is different to the rest of the video. Due to the constant sequences throughout the video, I believe the girls added a random mid shot of all three girls to show their connection. Most of the other shots are individual which shows the band as single members, so the use of the midshot shows their proximity and their supposed friendship.
  • 6. The next part of the video takes a new location which gives the video a new upbeat aspect. They have used panning and tracking shots which follow the band around the location ( which appears to be a car park).They have used a new filter on the imagery aswell which helps enable the video to be more interesting and eyecatching. The black and white filter also suggests that these shots are in the past and may be what theyre singing about.
  • 7. Later on in the video they feature a close up on the girl’s feet! This highlights the girls style as you can clearly see their heels which suggests they like to be glamorous and maybe go out to clubs and bars due to their dancing in the heels. The use of black heels suggests that there maybe a sexualise effect of the girls as the black heels can represent lust and their desire from men
