MEAN TO ME?

2. Music is a universal language, any one from any country can hear the
same song and feel similar emotions even if the language is creating
a barrier.
Music has a different purpose to everyone, some it may be an
escape from reality- time to be alone and connect with themself
others music is a way of relaxation and others it is a way to connect
with people. There is no set definition on what music means to
everyone.

3. What artists have impacted my life?
Mcfly have been a part of my life ever since I was a child. At the age 5
of I bought my first CD which was ‘room on the third floor’, I never knew
one album could impact my life up until today!
Their music is real, every lyric and every chord is from the men themselves,
there is nothing false about mcfly and that is why their music is so powerful
to me. They have not morphed and changed to fit in with ‘current’
mainstream music, they’ve stayed true to themselves for over 10 years now.
No matter what is going on in my life I am able to find a song which
connects and can help me smile.
After seeing the band live over 8 times now, I can feel how much their
performance and music means to them. They try to connect to us, as an
audience, on such intimate ways that you feel its just you there. No matter
how large the venue from southend pavilion to Hyde park- mcfly still find
ways to make each and every audience member involved and that’s why
they have impacted my life with music as they make you feel enraptured
and it brings the music to life.

4. What song do I find important in my life?
I find that one of the most important songs in my life is Love is easy,
by mcfly.
This song holds such special meaning to me as this was such an
amazing year- I experienced so many amazing things, met new
people and built relationships with special people.
I was featured in this music video therefore this song will always
bring back nostalgic feelings of when I was in the shoot and was able
to interact with the band members on a personal level and create
mind blowing memories. Not many people can say they are in their
idols music video and I’m proud to say mcfly gave me this chance and
that’s why this song is so significant for me.

5. Songs which has nostalgic feelings?
Music is the perfect way to reminisce over old memories and time of
our lives. Music captures how we feel and is able to hold strong
connotations.
Songs which have nostalgic feelings to me are for good and bad
reasons.
Luther vandross takes me back to my granddads funeral, even
though a extremely sad event, the song brings back such happy
memories of my childhood with my grandad. The song juxtaposes
the emotions it evokes.
Calvin harris- thinking of you- reminds me of my boyfriend george
and summer of 2014- one of the best years of my life so far. The song
is so nostalgic for positive summer vibes and memories with my
loved ones.

6. Influential songs -
when I was 5 it had to of been Girls Aloud – sound of the
underground- one of my earliest memories as round my friend house
dancing with our pink flower microphones pretending we was in the
band. The songs made me feel like a superstar! The genre is pop. I
find the song a guilty pleasure nowadays due to the current popular
music clashes with this style of pop.
Now my most influential song is bubble wrap by mcfly, this song is
again in the pop genre but this is more of a ballad. This song is so
influential to me as it’s a song I can put on no matter what mood im
feeling and it can always make e feel ore positive and motived to do
good and be smile. This song also is influential to my mum as she was
going through a hard time a few years ago and anytime we would go
for a drive she’d play this song and it would help her with what she
was going through and help her remain positive.
