Tayla Davis documented her group's decision to not use a full script for their movie opening, which helped advance their storyboarding and filming. She also wrote summaries of a trip to the BFI, created a mood board for a horror/thriller genre, and researched setting, weather, and costume - all of which provided inspiration and important context for planning and filming shots for her final project opening. Finally, she created a shooting schedule to help organize what shots were needed, their locations, and crew logistics.
2. Today I have typed up the reasoning as to why
my group have decided that we would not use
a full length script for our movie opening. This
has helped with our planning as it has helped
take us further into our storyboarding and shot
filming.
This has helped with the final production as it
has made us take more decision and choice
over our opening.
3. Today I have written up a brief summary of our
trip to the BFI.
I have discussed all the good and bad points
which has made me recap and revise which has
made me remember many things which have
been benefiting our planning and will benefit
our final project to stop us using generic shots,
styles and storylines.
4. Today, I have created a mood board based of
the horror/thriller genre.
This has helped me with my final project and
planning as it has given me inspiration for
things to use and also has shown what is
conventional
5. Today I have looked into the research of
setting, weather and costume.
This has shown me important facts about
London weather which may have affected my
filming.
This has helped me with my final project as it
has shown me important factors that may
affect my opening shots.
6. Today I have created a shooting schedule/
plan.
This task helped me to plan and film what
shots we wanted to focus on. By us doing this
it helped us as it helped us organised what
shots we need to film, where we are doing
them and who needs to be there. It gave an
overview of our movie opening in more realism
and perspective.
