A Teacher Essay
Writing an essay on the topic of a teacher may seem like a straightforward task, but delving into
the complexities of the subject can make the process more challenging than anticipated. The
difficulty arises not from a lack of information or personal experiences but rather from the
vastness and depth of the role teachers play in shaping individuals and society.
To begin with, a teacher essay requires a comprehensive understanding of the multifaceted
responsibilities a teacher shoulders. From imparting knowledge and fostering critical thinking to
being mentors and role models, teachers influence students in various ways. Capturing the
essence of these roles while maintaining a cohesive and engaging narrative can be a daunting
task.
Moreover, the challenge lies in presenting a balanced perspective on teaching. A well-rounded
essay should not only highlight the positive aspects of teaching but also address the challenges
faced by educators, such as adapting to diverse learning styles, managing classroom dynamics,
and navigating educational systems.
Additionally, one must consider the personal aspect of the essay. Reflecting on individual
experiences with teachers adds a layer of introspection to the writing process. Striking a balance
between personal anecdotes and broader insights into the teaching profession requires a careful
approach to ensure the essay resonates with readers.
Crafting a compelling teacher essay also demands a nuanced exploration of the impact teachers
have on shaping the future. Addressing the broader societal implications of effective teaching,
the essay should underscore the importance of education in fostering a knowledgeable and
informed citizenry.
In conclusion, writing an essay on the topic of a teacher involves navigating through the
intricacies of the teaching profession, blending personal experiences with broader societal
considerations. While challenging, it offers an opportunity for profound reflection and insight.

The Character Quoyle in Annie Proulx s The Shipping
News...
The greatest barrier to success is the fear of failure Sven Goran Eriksson. Success
is an achievement in life which most people would be appreciative towards, but
failure is looked upon in a disgraceful manner. People in society tend to face many
challenges that occur in their daily lives. Some of these challenges can affect their
lives dramatically in a positive or negative way. If one decides not to surmount their
challenges they will suffer within themselves for a long period of time. Having
confidence within is considered the greatest way to overcome suffering in life. In the
novel, The Shipping News, by Annie Proulx, Quoyle deals with many difficult

Quoyle, the main character in the novel, had a rough childhood which was one of
the main reasons towards his low confidence level. Quoyle would always get
pushed around and walked on which is just like the meaning of his name, Quoyle
is a rope that is always tangled together and usually on the floor where people step
all over it, which is very similar to Quoyle as a character because his life is also
tangled and confusing and he too gets walked all over and pushed around by
others. A quote that illustrates how Quoyle felt about his childhood would be,
?This gave me an uneasy feeling, the feeling of standing on a playground watching
others play games whose rules I didn?t know.? (Proulx, 63) This demonstrates that
even as an adult Quoyle had bad memories as a child that is locked into his mind.
Quoyle?s physical appearance has been a great embarrassment for him because he
feels as if he is ?ugly? because of his ?monstrous chin? as he calls it and it is shown
in the novel that Quoyle hates his chin as well, ?Quoyle put his hand over his
chin.? (Proulx, 20) This is one of the constant actions Quoyle does which shows
that he is unhappy with his outer appearance. As a child Quoyle has always been
isolated, he would always get teased, picked on and pushed around by other and
most of the time it would be his brother and father. One of the main reasons he
disliked his family was because

Rochester, New York. Where Wegmans isn t just a store, it s a way of life. Where

different cultures and communicated with the individuals within those cultures. I
have also moved within the United States, from New York to Utah, and become so
immersed in another culture that I could see past the obvious differences from where
I grew up and see the differences of everyday life as well. Since moving to Salt

Julius Caesar Decisions
Everyone has to make decisions, but making them becomes even more difficult
when you are in the spotlight. In, The Tragedy of Julius Caesar, there are many
decisions to make, like when Caesar came back from Rome, he was offered the
crown three times but denies it. He does this because he wants to feel needed,
Brutus and the other conspirators realized what Caesar was doing and that he had
the chance to be dangerous. With the help of Cassius s letters, Brutus joined the
conspirators, and they made a plan to kill Caesar. Caesar thought that all of these
people were his friends and felt betrayed when they killed him. Five main points
make someone a tragic hero: they are physically or spiritually wounded, which
resulted in their death, a leader of men, learns something... Show more content on

In Act IV, scene iii, line 282, Caesar s ghost says To tell thee thou shalt see me at
Philippi (Shakespeare 942). At first, Brutus is astounded to see the ghost and does
not recognize it. Though when the ghost calls Brutus an evil spirit, he realizes
who it is. In this quote, Caesar s ghost is saying that Brutus will see him at the
battlefields of Philippi. During one of the battles, Brutus gets another visit from
the undead Caesar; he knows that his time has come. Though Brutus said that he
would never take his own life as he saw it as cowardly, he accepts his fate and
avenges Caesar s death by taking his own life. These three reasons show how
Brutus is a tragic hero. Brutus chooses to kill Caesar even though he had no reason
to harm him because he thought it was best for Rome. Brutus also learned that he
made mistakes, like letting Antony speak at Caesar funeral; which is why Rome
turned on him. He also got a visit from Caesar s ghost; Caesar wanted revenge for
what Brutus did to him. This was a whole sequence of events, and it all leads back
to making a serious decision; this decision turned out to be very big because it cost
many people their
It s Only A Game
It s Only a Game Isn t It? A small group of people sat around a ouija board expecting
nothing to happen. A few nervous giggles were exchanged amongst each other. The
laughter quickly stopped when the planchette stopped moving and the room became
cold; the air turned thick and heavy. Something entered the space, a feeling of distress
surrounded the group. They became paranoid, and felt like there was something
looking at them from the dark corners. After what felt like hours trying to end the
session, the planchettestill refused to move, almost as if it was frozen on the board.
As their impatience quickly grew, they forced the planchette to goodbye. The feeling
of despair had vanished, but the feeling of being watched remained as everyone left
the room that night. Some view the ouijaboard as a harmless game, but many have
faced the terrifying reality of the mysterious talking board. The ouija board is a
phenomenon that is a legitimate means of communicating with spirits. In February,
1891, the first few advertisements appeared in papers: ouija, the wonderful talking
board, boomed a Pittsburgh toy and novelty shop, describing a magical device that
answered questions about the past, present and future with marvelous accuracy and
promised never failing amusement and recreation for all the classes, a link between
the known and unknown, the material and immaterial (McRobbie 1). Known as the
father of the ouija board, William Fuld patented the world s first
A Research Study On The Frisian Language
For my research, I conducted an analysis of the Frisian language. Frisian is a part of
the Proto Indo European language family, specifically the Germanic branch in the
Western Germanic tradition. Frisian developed in the Western Germanic family and
then it grew and changed from Old Frisian into Modern Frisian. Frisian, unlike
English, has no intervening steps between Old Frisian and Modern Frisian: e.g.
English developed from Old English, to Middle English, to Modern English.
According to classical sources, the Frisians traditionally inhabited the area between
the Rhine or Scheldt in the West and the Ems or Weser in the East. The province of
FryslГўn (Dutch/English: Friesland) is one of the twelve provinces of the Royal
Kingdom of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
West Frisian is the largest and most viable of the Frisian speech communities. The
most striking fact about West Frisian, as opposed to East and North Frisian, is its
relative uniformity dialectally speaking (Markey: 2011).
It is in the realm of phonology that West Frisian evinces the greatest evolution from
that of Old Frisian. The morphology, while further simplified in directions
foreshadowed even in Classical Old Frisian, is not radically changed. In the
literature it is quite generally assumed that Old Frisian is an SOV language, i.e. a
language with a subject (S) complement (O) verb (V) order in simplex sentence
structure. In this observational statement, V refers to non finite verbs essentially,
since it is assumed that these forms are indicative of the basic position of verbs
(Studies in West Frisian Grammar: 2010). According to the same book, it was noted
that a number of cases of grammatical influence of Dutch on Frisian were discussed,
especially regarding a morphological example of this influence which is a change in
the system of Frisian diminutive formation. The syntax of the Frisian verbal complex
differs in several ways from the Dutch one. According to Besten and Edmondsen s
paper from 1983, Frisian shares an interesting property with other West Germanic
languages in that main verbs are accompanied by auxiliary verbs and/or modals occur
in one cluster in sentence final
Pros And Cons Of Shamanism
Shamanism is used in many places around the world especially in Siberia and
Northern Europe and is considered to be a religion that believes in unseen gods,
demons, and spirits that are only responsive to the shaman. The Shaman is who
holds all admission to what is good and evil. Throughout the video, Shamans of
Siberia, we learn the ways in which Shaman leaders are able to practice their beliefs
while assisting with healing of those around them. Throughout their rituals the
Shaman often invoke spirits to gain healing abilities. There is a specific wardrobe
they must wear through the rituals. Their eyes must be covered as it is considered to
keep the shaman safe along with preventing others to see his eyes. He wears another
garment with horns,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The mind of the shamans undergoes a change as he begins to chant and heal the
needy. From tests completed on shaman there shows significant changes happening
within the frontal lobe as the ritual begins. It is easy for the spirit to take over the
ceremonial process, therefore, it is said that an important part of these rituals is that
the shaman always keep the upper hand.
Within the diverse types of shaman throughout the video, there are clear definitions of
how they each live differently, yet their beliefs in what are important remain the
same. For instance, throughout all of the different locations the shamans are spread,
they cherish birch trees and the marking oneself and their territory. In one man s
story they explain the difference between black shamans and white ones. The black,
speak to the spirits through a ritual and play the tambourines, whereas the white,
speak with the gods and play canes with bells.
Watching a shaman in action was the most interesting aspect in my opinion. The
way they dress reminded me of Native American tribal costumes during a Powwow.
The way they walk after a spirit has entered their body also reminds me of the tribes
dancing around a fire, beating their drums and singing in beat with one
Prison Agency Analysis Paper
The Bureau has over 39,000 employees and multiple prisons throughout the United
States. This agency analysis will briefly describe the agency at the national level,
but will primarily focus on the agency I intern at by taking a look specifically at the
role of psychology services.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons is a law enforcement agency serving under the United
States Department of Justice. In 1891, Congress passed the Three Prisons Act, which
authorized the establishment of the first three Federal Penitentiaries Atlanta, GA;
Leavenworth, KS, and McNeil Island WA (Bureau of Prisons, 2015). The first
penitentiaries denoted their prisoners as religions penitents who were serving time
for their sins. In 1930, the assistant Attorney General hired Sanford Bates to organize
and establish what is known today as the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP, 2015).
Unlike its three penitentiary predecessors, the BOP began breaking away from
punishment to creating a culture of change and reformation. In 1934, Congress
established the Federal Prison Industries to provide training and paid work for the
inmates (BOP, 2015). In the early fifties, they revised... Show more content on

core values: correctional excellence, respect, and integrity. Its commitment to
correctional excellence can be seen in many different areas, including the level of
security inmates are placed in. Inmates are placed in different security levels based
on their classification level related to the inmate s individual needs. The Bureau has
also undergone upgrades in technology such as whole body imaging devices designed

Essay on Gun Control in America
One of the most controversial topics of the year is the argument on guns and the
government attempting to ban and control certain guns. This topic has always been
in disagreement among the American public but has recently become much more
popular after several large scale shootings such as the infamous Sandy Hook. Despite
gun control appearing to be the solution to these tragic events, controlling and
banning guns will simply not work. Why will it not work and why is it so bad?
Because it has not worked before, current gun control laws and attempted laws target
the wrong guns, banning the targeted guns or any guns for that matter will not
prevent mass shootings, and it infringes on our constitutional rights as Americans.
Together, we will... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Simply put, because it wasn t a glorious era of no crime and violence. Approximately
fourteen total shootings that were large enough to earn the label mass shootings
occurred during that ten year period. One of those shootings included the most deadly
and infamous of all shootings in American History: the 1999 Columbine Shooting.
After gathering years of data from the era of gun control, John Roth from the
Department of Justice commented:
We were unable to detect any reduction to date in two types of gun murders that are
thought to be closely associated with assault weapons, those with multiple victims in
a single incident and those producing multiple bullet wounds per victim. At best, the
assault weapons ban can have only a limited effect on total gun murders, because the
banned weapons and magazines were never involved in more than a modest fraction
of all gun murders. If we travel even farther back in time, we would encounter the
institution of the Handgun Ban in Chicago during 1981. This ban on handguns,
believed and proven to be the number one type of gun used in murders, would last
until 2010 where it would be ruled unconstitutional and repealed. During the reign of
this handgun ban, Chicago handgun murder rate had only decreased 17% that it had
been before the law had taken effect according to a graph presented by

Another main claim given by Alton is that low self esteemcan cause problems for

Self concept is defined on page 63 as the relatively stable set of perceptions you
hold of yourself. Self esteem is defined on the same page as evaluations of self
worth. Your self concept and esteem can be shaped biologically and socially. On
page 65 of Looking Out Looking It, it s stated that research suggests that
personality is partly formed by our genetic making, meaning that low self esteem
and concept could be partially ingrained into our coding. However, the book goes
onto say that personality is flexible, dynamic, and shaped by experiences, so even
if low self esteem is ingrained into you, there is a chance for you to overcome it.
As for the social influence of your self concept and esteem, the way others perceive
you can heavily impact the way you see yourself. One example the book gives
about how socialization influences your self concept is how children view
themselves. On page 65, it is said that children aren t born with any sense of
identity. They learn to judge themselves only through the way others treat them.
When we assess the way we think others view us and put it into a self concept, it s
called reflected appraisal. The perceptions of others tend to matter a great deal to
most people, however, those with low self esteem may alter those perceptions in
their mind negatively and believe that others dislike them. Social comparisons play a

The Great Pacific Garbage Patch
Since the introduction of plastics in the early 20th century, waste production inland
has accumulated at an ever increasing rate. Improperly disposing of waste washes
through inland waterways, which eventually carries the waste into the ocean. The
north pacific garbage gyre spans the majority of the area. The physical gyre stretches
from the coast of Japan to California. Four different currents maintain the circular
motion of the gyre, which encapsulates large amounts of debris in the center of the
gyre, known as the convergence zone. All of these components lead to the term most
call as the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. The unfortunate locations of the world s
oceans, downhill and downstream of humans, allow plastics, chemicals and any form
of pollution to follow natural transportation directly into our oceans.
In 1869, John Wesley invented the celluloid, the first plastic product to be given a
name. In 1909, Bakelite is introduced to the chemist club in New York as the first
thermoset plastic , meaning that once the plastic mold was set it was set for life.
Everywhere we look there are plastics, we have become so accustomed to their
presence that we can hardly remember a time when they did not serve our needs.
Remember, there used to be a time where our cars, plates, furniture, and airplanes
were not made almost entirely of plastic. Roughly 100 billion pounds of plastic
pellets are used every year by the United States, and current figures from India and

Progressive Party Vs. Populist Political Party
Populists v Progressives
A political party is an organization whose aim is to gain control of the government
apparatus, usually through the election of its candidates to public office. Political
parties take many forms, but their main functions are similar: to supply personnel for
government positions; to organize these personnel around the formation and
implementation of public policy; and to serve in a mediating role between individuals
and their government. Political parties are as old as organized political systems. Two
parties in particular, the Populist Party and the Progressive Party are alike in many

The party adopted a platform calling for the free coinage of silver along with the
abolition of national banks. Another aspect of the Populist Party, is a graduated
income tax, government ownership of all forms of transportation and
communication, and the election of Senators by direct vote of the people. Civil
service reform, a working day of eight hours, postal banks, pensions, and the reform
of immigration regulations are just some of the other views and beliefs of populists.
Progressives are activists in a political reform movement known as progressivism,
which is a broadly based reform movement that reached its height early in the 20th
cent. In the decades following the Civil War, rapid industrialization transformed the
United States. A national rail system was completed, agriculture was mechanized,
the factory system spread, and cities grew rapidly in size and number all because of
this newfound movement. The progressive movement arose as a response to the vast
changes brought by industrialization. Progressives were often frustrated, however,
because state legislatures, controlled by railroads and large corporations, obstructed
the municipal struggle for their rule. Throughout all of the reform movements,
progressives began to play a major role in politics and the creation of a new political
party known as the

like these in all areas of the world. If a full trophic cascade had occurred in the
Chesapeake Bay we would not have recovered for many years. Not only would we
have lost a vital staple in our ecosystem but the local economy would have
experienced a major hit. Thousands of people involved in the fishing trade,
restaurants, and multimillion dollar businesses such as tourism and sport fishing
would have no medium to work with and instantly be out of work. I want to work in
shark conservation to keep both the ecosystem and economy afloat above and below
water.
My dream of researching sharks did not begin at an early age. During visits to
aquariums I was always nervous when we got to the shark section. My passion
didn t blossom until the summer of 2012 when I had the choice to visit Bonaire for
underwater photography or Fiji for shark research. Bracing my adventurous side, I
chose to travel to Fiji. During this trip I spent tens of hours on the bottom of the
ocean observing and admiring several different species of sharks. Watching a
colossal bull shark glide through the water to gently grasp a tuna head from a diver

Eminent Domain Paper
When Should Eminent Domain be Used?
When should a city or state use their eminent domain powers? Over the past few
years there have been a couple of cases that raised the questions of when eminent
domain should be used. One of the most controversial cases in the history of the
United States was the Kelo v New
London Supreme Court ruling. In order to generate tax revenue, add jobs, and to
prevent bankruptcy, the government s right to initiate eminent domain for public good
is a necessary evil.
Eminent domain in definition is the right or power of public purposes without the
owner s consent on payment of just compensation ( Eminent Domain History ).
Eminent domain has been a part of the United States ever since the constitution ...

Which would cause the city to grow and that would provide more money to the
government with the increased tax revenue from all of the new families. This could
create more jobs, because more companies might be interested in locating there due
to all of the growth. Eminent domain should also be used by a city or state if it
prevents it from going bankrupt.
A city or state should use eminent domain if it prevents it from going bankrupt. If
a city is near bankrupt then it cannot provide all of the necessary items that a city
needs in order to run like it is supposed to. For example, if a city is short of funds
then it would have to reduce its budget in places that would harm the city. It would
have to cut money from the police, and fire departments. However, by using their
eminent domain powers a city could keep all of this from happening by letting a
business come that would create thousands in tax dollars, and add jobs to the city.
This means that a reduction in the police and fire departments would not happen and
the city would still run smoothly.
The cities and states that use eminent domain to acquire land in order to keep
themselves running smoothly is sad; however, these cities and states are looking
out for what is best for their areas. These cities and states are not trying to make
families move out of their homes in order to earn a quick dollar. These cities and
states are only
The Creation Is A Monster
1.Look up the word monster in multiple dictionaries in order to get a full
understanding of what the word means. Discuss in both literal and figurative terms
whether the Creation is a monster.
The word monster means a being of unnatural size with unnatural features that is
sometimes imaginary and often causes fear due to wickedness, ugliness, and cruelty.
In literal terms, the Creation is a monster. Based on the definition, he is of unnatural
size and features as the Creation is characterized by its gigantic stature, and the
deformity of its aspect (50). Further, people fear the Creation due to his deformity
as stated the unnatural hideousness of [his] person was the chief object of horror
with those who had formerly beheld [him]) (94). In further explanation, the
Creation can also be considered monstrous because he was responsible for the
death of many people such as William, Justine, and Henry. In figurative terms,
however, the Creation is not entirely a monster. Though he did intend to cause harm
as he declares war against humans (97), much of his spite a cruelty spurs from his
lack of maturity and the environments he was faced with. The Creation came into
the world and was immediately faced with rejection. His own creator turned from
him in disgust (93) and the villagers he grew to love struck [him] violently with a
stick (97). He had no friend and no one teach him that killing was wrong no matter
how much emotions get the better of one. Much of this violent
The Legend Of The Magician
Merlin the Magician in an important fictional character throughout legends and
history. He is known as a powerful sorcerer and a mentor for the future King Arthur.
His magical abilities include shapeshifting, spells, and foresight.
According to legend, Merlin was born during the rule of King Vortigern, a 5th
century warlord, in Carmarthen, Wales. He was given the name Myrddin Emrys, or
Ambrosius, by his mother, the princess of Dyfed, whose father was a sub king (King
s second in command). Merlin isn t just a character from the Arthurian Legends,
Writer Geoffrey of Monmouth is credited with creating Merlin in his 1136 A.D.
work, Historia Regum Britanniae The History of Kings of Britain. While a large
portion of Historia Regum Britanniae is a historical account of former kings of
Britain, Merlin was included as a fictional character (although it is likely that
Geoffrey intended for readers to believe he was a figure extracted from long lost
ancient texts). (Ancient Origins, The legendary Origins of Merlin the Magician) This
places his first appearance in the early 10th century, since then Merlin has been in
several different stories other than the Legend of King Arthur.
Merlin was derived from several different people scattered through history and
legend. These include the Myrddin Wyllt, a madman, Romano, a British war leader,
and trickster Ambrosius Aurelianus, for who Merlin was named. There are three
people who share the exact same story. They were the welsh Myrddin,
Artificial Intelligence ( Unmanned Aerial Vehicle ) Essay
Within the construction industry, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is beginning to take
jobsites by storm. If someone were to walk onto a jobsite today, someone in that
location would be using AI. Current uses of AI today span from mobile technology
that supervision uses to man a jobsite to an actual robot pouring concrete or
welding a pipe. With the technology improvements being made daily, there will be a
day few people will consist of the workforce on the job, and the rest will be some
sort of robotics. Among the Artificial Intelligencebeing used or that will be the future
are: Drones/UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle), SAM (Semi Automated Mason),
robotic welding, Autonomous TMA (Truck Mounted Attenuator) Truck, and Contour
Crafting.
Drones/UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) A lot of people may think of drones, also
known as UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle), as the toys children play with in the
yard after opening their Christmas gifts, but for the construction industry, it means
so much more. Drones are capable of a multitude of things, and for business owner
s and clients, the most important thing is getting the job done sooner with reduced
costs. Previously, layouts of jobsites took weeks. The land had to be surveyed to
verify if the soil was appropriate and whether it needed to be graded or not. Areas
had to be marked off where each trade would store their material. Physical surveying
of the area with tripods had to be done, as well, for the specific layout and placement

Cpt And Icd 10 Codes In Healthcare
Physicians and other facilities are paid by insurance companies, including
Medicare and Medicaid, based on the procedure (CPT) code they submit. These codes
must be accompanied by the correct diagnosis or ICD 10 codes. There must be a valid
reason for a medical encounter for the physician to be paid, such as pain, refills for
medications, or a follow up for such diseases as diabetes or any chronic condition. If
you just submit the CPT or ICD 10 codeseparately then you will not be paid as both
support each other. So it is vital that a medical biller and coder be aware of these
rules and how to complete the claim forms properly.

Power And Effect Language In Imayam
Language is the most preferred method of communication in our life. It is the tool
we use not only to empower ourselves but also to direct our energy. Language has
immense power and its impact depends on how we use it. Writers, who know that
language has such power, use it to express their ideas and thoughts, whatever be
their genre. The novels and other works of writer Imayam exemplify the power and
effect language could have on the readers as it has become the medium of his
expression.
Imayam, whose original name is V. Annamalai, was born in 1964. A prominent

Summary Of In The Road To Evergreen By Rachael Stryker
In The Road to Evergreen by Rachael Stryker is an interesting eye catching
ethnography that emphasizes on the psychiatric disorder on adopted children called
RAD, also known as reactive attachment disorder. Reactive attachment disorder
Describes children who are considered to be unable or unwilling to bond with
parental (most often mother) figures (Stryker 3). The reason why these particular
children are unable to form a bond with their primary familyis because in their past
relationships formed with their birth parents, if any, have been either neglected or
abused in both a physical and or mental way. So, in the end, the child is left with

Kinship is the study of relationships or kin, therefore is an important role on how a
person behaves as well as form attachments with other groups i.e. new family
members. A great example of this is the movie we watched in class called The
Dark Matter Of Love. Masha had a very difficult time adjusting with her new
family because she couldn t understand them and the family felt overwhelmed with
3 adopted children from Russia and you could tell by the way the parents acted.
But, overtime she and the other two adoptees learned to love, care ad be happy
with their family. Which goes to show that once you adjust and take things at a
slow and steady pace that everything turns out for the best. I also believe this goes
in hand with Stryker s central argument that if new parents had the same way of
thinking like the Diaz s, that maybe they wouldn t reach the point of distress and
turn to the evergreen model. Stryker s main point is that there are different ways to
get help for your child, and that you don t need to basically torture them for them to

Importance Of Nazi Propaganda
Propaganda was the central instrument acquiring and maintaining the power of
Nazi Germany. All of the success can be attributed to propaganda. Propaganda is
the information, ideas, opinions, or images that are broadcast, published, or in
some other way spread with the intention of influencing public opinion. This was
the most effective method the Nazis used to persuade thousands of people about
their ideologies. Jewish people, African Germans, LGBT people, Roma, and
others were portrayed as undesirable by Nazi propaganda. It used newspaper
cartoons, films, books, radio, and posters in their effort to dehumanize Jewish
people. The purpose of Nazi propaganda was to convince members of the public
who had not yet been convinced of the importance of Hitler s racial policies and to
inspire those who already agreed with him. Words and expressions with generally
neutral and/or positive meanings were used to disguise acts of terror and destruction.
Nazi Germanycould be never rich success without propaganda.
Head of Nazi propaganda
Hitler knew very well the value of good propaganda and he appointed Joseph
Goebbels as head of propaganda. Paul Joseph Goebbels was Minister of Propaganda
from 1933 to 1945. He was one of the closest friends of Hitler. Goebbels was
responsible for presenting a favorable image of the Nazi regime to the German
public. In 1933, Goebbels created the Reich Chamber of Commerce which was
responsible to deal with literature, art, music, radio, film, newspapers
Lady Macbeth Collapse Of The Mind Essay
The Collapse of the Mind
Ambition is one of the greatest emotions a person can feel; an evil trait that can
easily grow and overwhelm one s mind. This concept of desire and ambition
corrupting an innocent persons mind is witnessed all throughout William
Shakespeare s, Macbeth. One of his many tragedy themed plays performed during the
1500s, it is filled with strong personalities, evil thoughts, and murder. The story is
packed with interesting characters such as Lady Macbeth, a woman often seen forcing
her bold ideas on other characters within the play; she influences their thoughts and
actions. Most of these inclined engagements end with characters in the play being
greeted by a tragic demise, including Lady Macbeth. The slow degeneration of her
mind is a consequence of her blatant disregard for both her own humanity and ethics.
A glutton by the end of the play, she realizes her aggressive actions and
manipulativeness towards her husband and those close is her own undoing. ... Show

migratory behavior and shifting habitat requirements depending on maturity (NMFS

regions (NMFS and USFWS 1998).
In the original listing from USFWS (1978), the loggerhead sea turtle was listed as
threatened throughout all of its range. The document goes on to state that one of the
main threats to the loggerhead sea turtle was that it was being harvested for the shell
or as food; the eggs were considered a desired food item and protein source.

Figure 1. Loggerhead Observed Bycatch. This graph shows data collected on bycatch
rates in SEAMAP analysis data set in the Stock Assessment of Loggerhead Sea
Turtles. From NMFS 2001. Nesting habitat degradation is an anthropogenic threat to
the loggerhead sea turtles. These threats include coastal development, erosion control
barriers or beach armoring, artificial lighting, pollution, removal of native vegetation,
and vehicle and pedestrian traffic (NMFS and USFWS 2007). Some solutions include
protecting and managing turtles on nesting beaches, monitor coastal construction,
implement lighting regulations, screen artificial lighting with vegetation, and impose
regulations on beach armoring (NMFS and USFWS 1998). Predation is an
important threat to consider in nesting areas for the loggerhead. Many places have
depredation to protect the eggs and hatchlings against predators such as feral dogs,
raccoons, and foxes (NMFS and USFWS 2007).
The future outlook for the loggerhead turtle has been studied using two analyses,
one looked at counts of nesting females and the other analysis was a stage based
population model done to look at the anthropogenic mortalities with respect to the
vital rates of the species (Conant et al. 2009). Using these analyses, it was
determined that for the North Atlantic Ocean DPS there was a greater likelihood of

A New Telescope s The Peak Of The Hawaiian Mountain
Mauna Kea
Everything You Need To Know About The Thirty Meter Telescope Protests In 2009,
a proposal to build a new telescope atop the peak of the Hawaiian Mountain Mauna
Kea started what may be the biggest media storm in scientific history, and it has been
brewing ever since...
What is Mauna Kea? Mauna Kea is a dormant volcano on the island of Hawaii. It has
an altitude of 13,976 feet above sea level, the highest of any mountain in Hawaii, and
is the tallest mountain in the world when measured from the base below sea level.
Roughly translating to Sky Father Mountain in Hawaiian, Mauna Kea culturally
represents the Realm of the Gods in Hawaiian lore. It is a sacred ground considered
to be where Earth and the gods are connected, the burial ground of many Hawaiian
ancestors, and is overall of extreme significance in Hawaiian culture.
Why Do Scientists Want to Build A Telescope There? Generally in astronomy, light
pollution and thick atmospheres distort and impair images from optics like
telescopes. Light pollution crowds out the targets being observed, while the
atmosphere dims the light received from them. When choosing the location for the
building of a new telescope, it is highly beneficial to build in areas with a thinner
atmosphere and low light pollution . This is why mountaintops are typically the
preferred sites for new telescopes, and why Mauna Kea is a highly desirable
location. A new telescope called the Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT) is revolutionary in
My Philosophy Of Education As A Education
Every teacher has a different idea of how and what their students should learn.
Therefore, every teacher has a different philosophy of education, and what purpose
education serves in a child s life. The five philosophies of education that we recognize
are: Essentialism, Perennialism, Progressivism, Social Reconstructionism, and
Existentialism. I would most recognize my philosophy of educationas Essentialism.
Essentialism has been a dominant influence in American education since World
War II. It focuses on core curriculum of traditional academic topics. I believe that
the purpose of education is teaching students the essential topics to help them in
our world. Math, science, history, and language arts would be my main subjects
that I would want my students to understand. Of course, adding in foreign
language and other electives can also help students with future careers and making
their way through life. My philosophy represents the basic knowledge that one
knows and will actually contribute to their everyday life. I would want most of the
focus to be on the material I am teaching and less on group work. As an elementary
education major, I plan to teach younger children who can be easily distracted. I
want to teach my students in a way that will keep their attention such as interesting
lesson plans, all while teaching basic subjects like writing, reading, and math. In our
growing world, we are becoming more and more diverse. Since diversity is relatively
new to us, we
Comparing Sweat And The Garden Party
How many things can a story about a washerwoman in the South have in common
with a story about a girl from a high class society? There is plenty. The short stories
Sweat and The Garden Party are both different and similar in more than one way.
Although the use of structure and symbolism are different, but the tones in these
stories are quite similar. First of all the use tones. In both Sweat and The Garden
Party , the attitudes the authors have about the topics are sympathetic and caring,
some may even think they are worried or frustrated. Sweat focuses on the idea of
feminism, and The Garden Party is centered around class. Both of the authors are
expressing their feelings about these topics and it shows through their writing.
Neither of them are fond of their story s theme, and they want the readers to see that.

dialect when depicting what the townspeople are talking, and it uses more
dialogue than The Garden Party . There are multiple plots in The Garden Party ,
including Laura s family, the Sheridans, and the family of the man who dies while
Sweat focuses mainly on Delia and her life. In Sweat , the cause of Syke s death is

The College Athlete Recruiting Process
A select few can say they came out alive after the college recruiting process for any
sport, but the journey is one that affects many alike across campus. As a high
school athlete, it is a true dog fight to get your spot at the school of your dreams.
There are countless rules defining how a coach may talk to you, when they aren t

manage. The recruiting process was probably the most stressful thing I ve done,

This atmosphere can still often lead to wary prospects who crave the life of a college

also had help from my club s recruiting director and my parents, but it was important
that I handled most of the communication myself. Many athletes, whether they

Going Look At The Stars
Go look at the stars. Now look at the paper. Now look at the stars. Now look at the
paper. Now take one last look at the sky and count the number of visible stars. Not
many, right? The problem of being a miniscule part of a vast Universe is our
incapability to observe and understand the Universe, especially with the naked eye.
Even in ancient Greece, people observed the skies, understanding it in order to
locate their relative positions and noticing the movements of the sun and the moon.
Many believe that a Greek cosmology does not form until the Pre Socratic works of
600 B.C.E., but there are signs that point to the Greek tradition of epic poems as a
means of communicating astronomical information, the first of which was written
down by Homer, who is considered the first epic poet (Hetherington 54, Murnaghan
l). Before delving into Homer s poems, it is important to first understand the history
of Greek civilization because his poems reflect several historic periods spanning
hundreds of year. After 2000 B.C.E. Greek speaking people arrived in what we call
Greece, establishing the Mycenaean civilization, which thrived, becoming rich with
powerful cities that were military strongholds and international trade centers
(Murnaghan l). Through their trade with nearby islands, they adopted a syllabary
system of writing from the Minoans, who flourished on the island Crete (Murnaghan
l). However, the next evidence of Greek writing is not seen until the Phoenician
alphabet is
The Use Of Diction In Oedipus The King
King uses controlling diction and animalizes Jack to illustrate his anxiety in dealing
with the resurgence of the wasps, further characterizing Jack as an unstable man who
threatens his family s wellbeing through his lack of stereotypical masculinity. King
animalizes Jack by constantly comparing his behavior with that of a tiger, a
stereotypically savage wild animal, indifferent to the emotions of the persons
surrounding them. Through Jack s response to the rediscovery of wasps in Danny s
room, King reinforces Jack s animalistic state of mind, as illustrated in his explosive
reaction, Shut the fuck up and killthem! he roared (King 133). By having Jack roar
out in retaliation to the wasps, King draws a parallel between the behavior of... Show

As opposed to a relaxed, more manly reaction to his son being swarmed by wasps,
Jack immediately panics in the face of danger and fails to keep his outer shell of
masculinity on in such a high stress period of time. He screams out commands at
his wife, Kill them! ... Will you do what I say! (King 133), and fails to deal with
the problem himself, as he quickly abandons Wendy and Danny inside the
bedroom, leaving Wendy to settle the wasp situation on her own. By implementing
this commanding diction, King fully strips Jack of his masculinity, and reveals his
true character as a deranged danger to the welfare of his family. In addition to
illustrating Jack s severe lack of stereotypically manly traits, controlling diction is
also used by King to expose a authority seeking facet of Jack s personality that is
ultimately broken down by the reappearance of the wasps. As displayed through
Jack ordering his wife, Jack is throwing together a last ditch effort to maintain
control over his family, as a real man would. Instead of holding a level of authority
over his family through ordering phrases such as get a
Management and the Body Shop
Management and The Body Shop
In this paper I will be taking a look at basic management functions. The approaches,
and the synthesis of two views of management. I will attempt to take an overview of
culture and its effect on a company.
In today s changing global environments many companies have joined the open trade
policies, and existing foreign opportunities available to growing companies with
positive views and socially responsible attitudes.
It all sounds like a lot to cover in a short essay so I will introduce a company that
has in its short, yet very successful existence transformed through all the levels and
practices mentioned above. The company is called The Body Shop , I hope you have

Advantages
пѓј The slip rings of an AC generator have a continuous surface that allows the
brushes to remain in contact with the ring s surface. Thus the brushes in an AC
generator do not wear out as fast as in a DC generator as they do not create an
electric short circuit every half turn. пѓј Therefore they required less maintenance and

workers attention and focus but the employer s attention as well. There are many
ways to keep your workers motivated. The main point is to keep them satisfied.
There are several different ways to keep workers satisfied, compensation, benefits
and in the authors opinion one of the most important ways usually is overlooked and
that is work atmosphere. The Plastec Company must look at these factors when trying
to reduce turnover and increase productivity. The first way to keep your workers
motivated is through wages and benefits that your organization offers. The better the

The most important thing to remember when using a salary survey is that in order for
the information to be valid you should only compare a specific job position to the
same position, with in the local area and similar industry. Also you want to ensure
you understand what the salary survey is conveying. Does it include benefits,
bonuses, and other forms of compensation that are not covered by the basic salary?
Many employee benefits packages include the basic, retirement plan, medical,
dental and or life insurances. But they do not have to be so cut and dry. With the
job market currently so competitive, employers are coming up with new and
creative benefit packages. Some include on site daycare for working families,
cafeteria plans and even pet insurance. To remain competitive it not necessary or
even feasible to offer every benefit to your employees. For the Plastec Company,
specifically the machine operators who are in their mid to late forties all with
different family situations the author would recommend the basics of retirement,
medical, dental and life insurance. However the author would also add the benefit
of pre tax expense accounts. Not only for medical but for daycare as well, which
can usually be accomplished with the same program manager. There are several
different ways this program can work. First is that the employee elects to have a
predetermined amount come out of their check before taxes and this goes
The Real Merlin Essay
From the shores of Avalon to the court of King Arthur, tales and accounts of the
mystical Merlin abound. Did Merlin really exist, and if so, was he the dark magical
wizard of legend or an image conjured up by superstitious townsfolk to explain
occurrences they didn t understand? To answer this question, one should first look at
the actual accomplishments of the figure Merlin. When was the character introduced
and what did he do afterwards? What kinds of feats did this person accomplish to
make him as well known as he is? Secondly, Merlin was well known as a mythical
figure. How did this mythical figure emerge and what aspects of his life do we still
remember to this day? As the son of a devil, was Merlin an evil characteror a good...

Many stories of the Arthurian legend contain some reference to Merlin, as either a
wizard or a prophet. As a magician, Merlin performed feats such as the moving of
Stonehenge, the disguising of Uther Pendragon, and the crowning of King Arthur by
the use of the sword in the stone (Fletcher 25). As a prophet, Merlin told of the defeat
of the Saxons, the death of Arthur, and the one who found the Holy Grail.
Almost everyone knows the story The Sword in the Stone by T.H. White wherein
Merlin instructed Arthur in his life as king, but what most don t know is that
Merlin was, in legend, the son of a devil. An incubus came and bedded with Merlin
s mother so that she would bear his child (Ackerman 168). One story that shows the
significance of this union is Geoffrey of Monmouth s Historia regum Britannae. In
this book there is a section that tells the tale of Vortigern and Ambrosius. Vortigern,
the King of Britain at the time, wants to build a new retreat, but every night the
foundation is destroyed. Vortigern s wise men tell him he must sprinkle the spot
with the blood of a child born fatherless. After a long and tedious search, Ambrosius
is found and brought before Vortigern. Ambrosius tells the King not to slay him but
to dig in the spot for two vases. Those digging found these two vases and inside were
two tents. Inside the two tents were a red dragon and a white dragon. These creatures

My Dream Of Life
As a teenager, I led a sheltered life. You could normally find me at school or
babysitting my younger brothers. I dreamt about being able to go to the movies,
bowling, or having sleepovers with my friends. I would occasionally go out with
my friends, but my brothers were normally with me. I would one day finally have
the chance to experience the freedom I have always dreamt of. I would become the
confident, popular, and outgoing person I always dreamt about. In the meantime,
my parents announced that they had plans to move to Ohio, and I began thinking
about staying in Michigan. After school, I would rush home to do my homework,
help my brothers with their own, and do my chores. The rest of our day consisted
of coming up with ways to entertain ourselves. While my brothers would play with
friends or build towns out of Legos, I would read. I looked forward every day to
losing myself in a book. Books permitted me to pretend I was living a different life
in a new exciting world. I later found a different past time in the form of online
video games. I remember the day my father brought home Phantasy Star, the first
online video game. I was enthralled with it. I could build my own character, change
how she looked, and pretend I was just like her. At first, I quietly played in the
background, listening to others talk and laugh while they played. After that I started
to join in on the conversations. I quickly became the person I always wanted to be. I
was popular and could pretend
History Of The Los Angeles Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers are the best because they have had so many stars and hall
famers that played for them. Throughout all the years the Los Angeles Lakers have
been around for about 69 years. The Lakers have made a name for themselves with
the players they had and have as of right now. When the Lakers first started out
they were originally in Minneapolis, Minnesota. They were called the Lakers in
honor of the state s nickname, The Land of 10,000 Lakes. In 1960, Bob Short
moved the NBA franchise to Los Angeles. He did not change the name because
there are also lakes in California. During this time there was the best duo, Jerry
West and Elgin Baylor, these two were lethal on the court. The 1968 time was a new
era for the Los Angeles Lakersbecause the duo now added a new member, Wilt
Chamberlain, making it a trio for the Lakers. Another reason why they are the best is
because of their 33 game winning streak which remains longest winning streak in

The Introduction Of Music File Sharing In The Music
Industry
Abstract
Due to their unwillingness to see the opportunity to evolve and change as the
trends began to foreshadow the concept of file sharing within the music industry,
music labels were forced to transfer their power into the consumer s hands. One of
the commonly cited causes for the lack of success of organizational change is
resistance to change. (Palmer) Streaming music also known as downloading music
are common legal terms used in today s age to describe how to acquire music,
however in less than twenty years ago the idea of file sharing was deemed a no no.
The introduction of MP3 files, file sharing networks such as Napster and Kazaa, and
the widespread practice of illegally downloading copyrighted music files constituted a

As the world connected to the information super highway and the music industry
came face to face with the MP3, the virtuous circle of growth was radically altered
(Hracs). The Canadian Recording Industry Association revealed a 40 percent decline
in consumer spending after the rise of the MP3, from 1.4 billion in 1998 to $850
million in 2004 (Hracs).
Lack of preparation to see where the future of music distribution was heading, was
the fate that ended the brick and mortar concept of how music was delivered and
received. Although file sharing became popular under Napster, it was not until
inexpensive high speed broadband internet connections were available to a much
wider group of consumers that file sharing crippled cd sales (Hracs). The music
labels attempted to recover the control and salvage financially what they could
through legal attempts. One music label had a two fold response to file sharing: to
put an end to illegal file sharing by bringing the law into it against Napster and
Kazaa, and also to create and deliver an alternative that was legal in distributing file
sharing. In theory, this plan had potential, however when put into practice the concept
had technical, logistical and strategic errors that in the end exacerbated the problem.
While the media and the major labels argued that file sharing was to blame, the music
industry

Abigail Williams In The Crucible
Arthur Miller wrote The Crucible in 1953. Arthur Miller wrote it because of
personal events and what was going on at the time. The play was based in 1693
Salem, Massachusetts during the Salem witch trials. In 1953 communists were
treated very similar to how the witches were in 1693. In Arthur s life he had been
accused of communism and was fined and sentenced to 30 days in jail. Although
the play can be connected to more than just those specific times. It can be related to
the strangest most awful times in human history. The play had been written to get

How Kindness Shapes One s Destiny in Million Dollar Baby
Individuals often show kindness to shape their destiny, depending on how kindness
is directed can change course of ones destiny. In the film Million Dollar Baby,
director Clint Eastwood uses protectiveness and thoughtfulness to demonstrate ways
in which a person uses kindness to determine their destiny. In the film Frankie
appears to be a stubborn man, who is very self centered although this is not the
case. Throughout the film his attitude begins to become clearer to the viewer and
he becomes less skewed. His ultimate decision in the end of the film proves his true
identity and shows how protectiveness and thoughtfulness has shaped his destiny.
Often individuals use kindness to shape and alter their destiny either for, better or
worse. An individual often show kindness, a form uncertain or requires a greater
informed view/perspective. Protectiveness can be a way that defines a person
showing kindness, although within the film and within humanity different
perspectives can cause different perception or provide different impressions.
Frankie is a stubborn old man, a coach to fighters, and has acquired vast knowledge
on boxing. Maggie had attended a fight, and they were both walking down that back
hall when she approached Frankie, one may believe that Frankie saying I don t train
girls is arrogant and even sexist, it actually shows kindness. Frankie has protective
nature as one of his character traits, the quote is said to protect Maggie from getting
into something that

A Teacher Essay

  • 1. A Teacher Essay Writing an essay on the topic of a teacher may seem like a straightforward task, but delving into the complexities of the subject can make the process more challenging than anticipated. The difficulty arises not from a lack of information or personal experiences but rather from the vastness and depth of the role teachers play in shaping individuals and society. To begin with, a teacher essay requires a comprehensive understanding of the multifaceted responsibilities a teacher shoulders. From imparting knowledge and fostering critical thinking to being mentors and role models, teachers influence students in various ways. Capturing the essence of these roles while maintaining a cohesive and engaging narrative can be a daunting task. Moreover, the challenge lies in presenting a balanced perspective on teaching. A well-rounded essay should not only highlight the positive aspects of teaching but also address the challenges faced by educators, such as adapting to diverse learning styles, managing classroom dynamics, and navigating educational systems. Additionally, one must consider the personal aspect of the essay. Reflecting on individual experiences with teachers adds a layer of introspection to the writing process. Striking a balance between personal anecdotes and broader insights into the teaching profession requires a careful approach to ensure the essay resonates with readers. Crafting a compelling teacher essay also demands a nuanced exploration of the impact teachers have on shaping the future. Addressing the broader societal implications of effective teaching, the essay should underscore the importance of education in fostering a knowledgeable and informed citizenry. In conclusion, writing an essay on the topic of a teacher involves navigating through the intricacies of the teaching profession, blending personal experiences with broader societal considerations. While challenging, it offers an opportunity for profound reflection and insight. For those seeking assistance with such essays or similar writing tasks, a variety of resources are available, including professional writing services likeHelpWriting.net. • 2. The Character Quoyle in Annie Proulx s The Shipping News... The greatest barrier to success is the fear of failure Sven Goran Eriksson. Success is an achievement in life which most people would be appreciative towards, but failure is looked upon in a disgraceful manner. People in society tend to face many challenges that occur in their daily lives. Some of these challenges can affect their lives dramatically in a positive or negative way. If one decides not to surmount their challenges they will suffer within themselves for a long period of time. Having confidence within is considered the greatest way to overcome suffering in life. In the novel, The Shipping News, by Annie Proulx, Quoyle deals with many difficult challenges along his life journey by suffering from bad childhood experiences... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Quoyle, the main character in the novel, had a rough childhood which was one of the main reasons towards his low confidence level. Quoyle would always get pushed around and walked on which is just like the meaning of his name, Quoyle is a rope that is always tangled together and usually on the floor where people step all over it, which is very similar to Quoyle as a character because his life is also tangled and confusing and he too gets walked all over and pushed around by others. A quote that illustrates how Quoyle felt about his childhood would be, ?This gave me an uneasy feeling, the feeling of standing on a playground watching others play games whose rules I didn?t know.? (Proulx, 63) This demonstrates that even as an adult Quoyle had bad memories as a child that is locked into his mind. Quoyle?s physical appearance has been a great embarrassment for him because he feels as if he is ?ugly? because of his ?monstrous chin? as he calls it and it is shown in the novel that Quoyle hates his chin as well, ?Quoyle put his hand over his chin.? (Proulx, 20) This is one of the constant actions Quoyle does which shows that he is unhappy with his outer appearance. As a child Quoyle has always been isolated, he would always get teased, picked on and pushed around by other and most of the time it would be his brother and father. One of the main reasons he disliked his family was because

However, with their understanding of the characteristics of the Indian market, Cadbury has additionally examined a number of better approaches for communicating the desired information to the final consumers. Cadbury insists that its products are placed on the cash counter;its design offers visibility, ease of vending, and protection from the elements. It is also placed in the most appropriate position to catch the eye of the impulse buyers. Cadbury was the first company to follow this kind of strategy which became so popular that it was followed by other chocolate manufacturers as well. • 4. Example Of Intercultural Communication Introduction Rochester, New York. Where Wegmans isn t just a store, it s a way of life. Where the residents eat plates of garbage. Where you can get frostbite and sunburn in the same week and snow days are an urban legend. Where most people leave and, like a boomerang, come right back because there s no place we d rather call home than Ra Cha Cha. Throughout my life, I have travelled to other countries, experienced different cultures and communicated with the individuals within those cultures. I have also moved within the United States, from New York to Utah, and become so immersed in another culture that I could see past the obvious differences from where I grew up and see the differences of everyday life as well. Since moving to Salt Lake City, I ve become hyperaware of the rituals that have shaped my identity as a Rochestarian in a way that simply spending a few weeks in another country never has. The stark cultural differences between New York and Utah have shaped how I ve interacted with people here, in both positive and negatives ways. The concepts in James W. Neuliep s book Intercultural Communication: A Contextual Approach , Raymond William s piece Culture is Ordinary , and the piece by Judith N Martin, Thomas K Nakayama, and Lisa A. Flores, A Dialectical Approach to Intercultural Communications can help explain and understand the intercultural interactions I ve had and the challenges associated with them since moving to Utah, as well as interactions I ve had
  • 5. Julius Caesar Decisions Everyone has to make decisions, but making them becomes even more difficult when you are in the spotlight. In, The Tragedy of Julius Caesar, there are many decisions to make, like when Caesar came back from Rome, he was offered the crown three times but denies it. He does this because he wants to feel needed, Brutus and the other conspirators realized what Caesar was doing and that he had the chance to be dangerous. With the help of Cassius s letters, Brutus joined the conspirators, and they made a plan to kill Caesar. Caesar thought that all of these people were his friends and felt betrayed when they killed him. Five main points make someone a tragic hero: they are physically or spiritually wounded, which resulted in their death, a leader of men, learns something... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In Act IV, scene iii, line 282, Caesar s ghost says To tell thee thou shalt see me at Philippi (Shakespeare 942). At first, Brutus is astounded to see the ghost and does not recognize it. Though when the ghost calls Brutus an evil spirit, he realizes who it is. In this quote, Caesar s ghost is saying that Brutus will see him at the battlefields of Philippi. During one of the battles, Brutus gets another visit from the undead Caesar; he knows that his time has come. Though Brutus said that he would never take his own life as he saw it as cowardly, he accepts his fate and avenges Caesar s death by taking his own life. These three reasons show how Brutus is a tragic hero. Brutus chooses to kill Caesar even though he had no reason to harm him because he thought it was best for Rome. Brutus also learned that he made mistakes, like letting Antony speak at Caesar funeral; which is why Rome turned on him. He also got a visit from Caesar s ghost; Caesar wanted revenge for what Brutus did to him. This was a whole sequence of events, and it all leads back to making a serious decision; this decision turned out to be very big because it cost many people their
  • 6. It s Only A Game It s Only a Game Isn t It? A small group of people sat around a ouija board expecting nothing to happen. A few nervous giggles were exchanged amongst each other. The laughter quickly stopped when the planchette stopped moving and the room became cold; the air turned thick and heavy. Something entered the space, a feeling of distress surrounded the group. They became paranoid, and felt like there was something looking at them from the dark corners. After what felt like hours trying to end the session, the planchettestill refused to move, almost as if it was frozen on the board. As their impatience quickly grew, they forced the planchette to goodbye. The feeling of despair had vanished, but the feeling of being watched remained as everyone left the room that night. Some view the ouijaboard as a harmless game, but many have faced the terrifying reality of the mysterious talking board. The ouija board is a phenomenon that is a legitimate means of communicating with spirits. In February, 1891, the first few advertisements appeared in papers: ouija, the wonderful talking board, boomed a Pittsburgh toy and novelty shop, describing a magical device that answered questions about the past, present and future with marvelous accuracy and promised never failing amusement and recreation for all the classes, a link between the known and unknown, the material and immaterial (McRobbie 1). Known as the father of the ouija board, William Fuld patented the world s first
  • 7. A Research Study On The Frisian Language For my research, I conducted an analysis of the Frisian language. Frisian is a part of the Proto Indo European language family, specifically the Germanic branch in the Western Germanic tradition. Frisian developed in the Western Germanic family and then it grew and changed from Old Frisian into Modern Frisian. Frisian, unlike English, has no intervening steps between Old Frisian and Modern Frisian: e.g. English developed from Old English, to Middle English, to Modern English. According to classical sources, the Frisians traditionally inhabited the area between the Rhine or Scheldt in the West and the Ems or Weser in the East. The province of FryslГўn (Dutch/English: Friesland) is one of the twelve provinces of the Royal Kingdom of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... West Frisian is the largest and most viable of the Frisian speech communities. The most striking fact about West Frisian, as opposed to East and North Frisian, is its relative uniformity dialectally speaking (Markey: 2011). It is in the realm of phonology that West Frisian evinces the greatest evolution from that of Old Frisian. The morphology, while further simplified in directions foreshadowed even in Classical Old Frisian, is not radically changed. In the literature it is quite generally assumed that Old Frisian is an SOV language, i.e. a language with a subject (S) complement (O) verb (V) order in simplex sentence structure. In this observational statement, V refers to non finite verbs essentially, since it is assumed that these forms are indicative of the basic position of verbs (Studies in West Frisian Grammar: 2010). According to the same book, it was noted that a number of cases of grammatical influence of Dutch on Frisian were discussed, especially regarding a morphological example of this influence which is a change in the system of Frisian diminutive formation. The syntax of the Frisian verbal complex differs in several ways from the Dutch one. According to Besten and Edmondsen s paper from 1983, Frisian shares an interesting property with other West Germanic languages in that main verbs are accompanied by auxiliary verbs and/or modals occur in one cluster in sentence final
  • 8. Pros And Cons Of Shamanism Shamanism is used in many places around the world especially in Siberia and Northern Europe and is considered to be a religion that believes in unseen gods, demons, and spirits that are only responsive to the shaman. The Shaman is who holds all admission to what is good and evil. Throughout the video, Shamans of Siberia, we learn the ways in which Shaman leaders are able to practice their beliefs while assisting with healing of those around them. Throughout their rituals the Shaman often invoke spirits to gain healing abilities. There is a specific wardrobe they must wear through the rituals. Their eyes must be covered as it is considered to keep the shaman safe along with preventing others to see his eyes. He wears another garment with horns,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The mind of the shamans undergoes a change as he begins to chant and heal the needy. From tests completed on shaman there shows significant changes happening within the frontal lobe as the ritual begins. It is easy for the spirit to take over the ceremonial process, therefore, it is said that an important part of these rituals is that the shaman always keep the upper hand. Within the diverse types of shaman throughout the video, there are clear definitions of how they each live differently, yet their beliefs in what are important remain the same. For instance, throughout all of the different locations the shamans are spread, they cherish birch trees and the marking oneself and their territory. In one man s story they explain the difference between black shamans and white ones. The black, speak to the spirits through a ritual and play the tambourines, whereas the white, speak with the gods and play canes with bells. Watching a shaman in action was the most interesting aspect in my opinion. The way they dress reminded me of Native American tribal costumes during a Powwow. The way they walk after a spirit has entered their body also reminds me of the tribes dancing around a fire, beating their drums and singing in beat with one

This agency analysis will briefly describe the agency at the national level, but will primarily focus on the agency I intern at by taking a look specifically at the role of psychology services. The Federal Bureau of Prisons is a law enforcement agency serving under the United States Department of Justice. In 1891, Congress passed the Three Prisons Act, which authorized the establishment of the first three Federal Penitentiaries Atlanta, GA; Leavenworth, KS, and McNeil Island WA (Bureau of Prisons, 2015). The first penitentiaries denoted their prisoners as religions penitents who were serving time for their sins. In 1930, the assistant Attorney General hired Sanford Bates to organize and establish what is known today as the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP, 2015). Unlike its three penitentiary predecessors, the BOP began breaking away from punishment to creating a culture of change and reformation. In 1934, Congress established the Federal Prison Industries to provide training and paid work for the inmates (BOP, 2015). In the early fifties, they revised... This topic has always been in disagreement among the American public but has recently become much more popular after several large scale shootings such as the infamous Sandy Hook. Despite gun control appearing to be the solution to these tragic events, controlling and banning guns will simply not work. Why will it not work and why is it so bad? Because it has not worked before, current gun control laws and attempted laws target the wrong guns, banning the targeted guns or any guns for that matter will not prevent mass shootings, and it infringes on our constitutional rights as Americans. Approximately fourteen total shootings that were large enough to earn the label mass shootings occurred during that ten year period. After gathering years of data from the era of gun control, John Roth from the Department of Justice commented: We were unable to detect any reduction to date in two types of gun murders that are thought to be closely associated with assault weapons, those with multiple victims in a single incident and those producing multiple bullet wounds per victim. At best, the assault weapons ban can have only a limited effect on total gun murders, because the banned weapons and magazines were never involved in more than a modest fraction of all gun murders. If we travel even farther back in time, we would encounter the institution of the Handgun Ban in Chicago during 1981. This ban on handguns, believed and proven to be the number one type of gun used in murders, would last until 2010 where it would be ruled unconstitutional and repealed. During the reign of this handgun ban, Chicago handgun murder rate had only decreased 17% that it had been before the law had taken effect according to a graph presented by JustFacts.com. Well a decrease is still a decrease, right? It is, but you have to take into account that the U.S.

One example the book gives about how socialization influences your self concept is how children view themselves. On page 65, it is said that children aren t born with any sense of identity. Loggerhead Observed Bycatch. This graph shows data collected on bycatch rates in SEAMAP analysis data set in the Stock Assessment of Loggerhead Sea Turtles. From NMFS 2001. Nesting habitat degradation is an anthropogenic threat to the loggerhead sea turtles. These threats include coastal development, erosion control barriers or beach armoring, artificial lighting, pollution, removal of native vegetation, and vehicle and pedestrian traffic (NMFS and USFWS 2007). Some solutions include protecting and managing turtles on nesting beaches, monitor coastal construction, implement lighting regulations, screen artificial lighting with vegetation, and impose regulations on beach armoring (NMFS and USFWS 1998). Predation is an important threat to consider in nesting areas for the loggerhead. Many places have depredation to protect the eggs and hatchlings against predators such as feral dogs, raccoons, and foxes (NMFS and USFWS 2007). The future outlook for the loggerhead turtle has been studied using two analyses, one looked at counts of nesting females and the other analysis was a stage based population model done to look at the anthropogenic mortalities with respect to the vital rates of the species (Conant et al. 2009). What is Mauna Kea? Mauna Kea is a dormant volcano on the island of Hawaii. It has an altitude of 13,976 feet above sea level, the highest of any mountain in Hawaii, and is the tallest mountain in the world when measured from the base below sea level. Roughly translating to Sky Father Mountain in Hawaiian, Mauna Kea culturally represents the Realm of the Gods in Hawaiian lore. It is a sacred ground considered to be where Earth and the gods are connected, the burial ground of many Hawaiian ancestors, and is overall of extreme significance in Hawaiian culture. Why Do Scientists Want to Build A Telescope There? Generally in astronomy, light pollution and thick atmospheres distort and impair images from optics like telescopes. Light pollution crowds out the targets being observed, while the atmosphere dims the light received from them. When choosing the location for the building of a new telescope, it is highly beneficial to build in areas with a thinner atmosphere and low light pollution . This is why mountaintops are typically the preferred sites for new telescopes, and why Mauna Kea is a highly desirable location. Therefore, every teacher has a different philosophy of education, and what purpose education serves in a child s life. The five philosophies of education that we recognize are: Essentialism, Perennialism, Progressivism, Social Reconstructionism, and Existentialism. I would most recognize my philosophy of educationas Essentialism. Essentialism has been a dominant influence in American education since World War II. It focuses on core curriculum of traditional academic topics. I believe that the purpose of education is teaching students the essential topics to help them in our world. Math, science, history, and language arts would be my main subjects that I would want my students to understand. Of course, adding in foreign language and other electives can also help students with future careers and making their way through life. My philosophy represents the basic knowledge that one knows and will actually contribute to their everyday life. I would want most of the focus to be on the material I am teaching and less on group work. As an elementary education major, I plan to teach younger children who can be easily distracted. I want to teach my students in a way that will keep their attention such as interesting lesson plans, all while teaching basic subjects like writing, reading, and math. In our growing world, we are becoming more and more diverse. Since diversity is relatively new to us, we

Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As the world connected to the information super highway and the music industry came face to face with the MP3, the virtuous circle of growth was radically altered (Hracs). The Canadian Recording Industry Association revealed a 40 percent decline in consumer spending after the rise of the MP3, from 1.4 billion in 1998 to $850 million in 2004 (Hracs). Lack of preparation to see where the future of music distribution was heading, was the fate that ended the brick and mortar concept of how music was delivered and received. Although file sharing became popular under Napster, it was not until inexpensive high speed broadband internet connections were available to a much wider group of consumers that file sharing crippled cd sales (Hracs). The music labels attempted to recover the control and salvage financially what they could through legal attempts. One music label had a two fold response to file sharing: to put an end to illegal file sharing by bringing the law into it against Napster and Kazaa, and also to create and deliver an alternative that was legal in distributing file sharing. This would be fabricated in the U.S. Planning to bring it Summit later in the season. This would resolve the issue with requiring access to the snow melter in the SOB. This unit could be place at Vault 1, near the micro turbine the first year. It would then be located near the SMG. e.Pat would like to look at a SIP building as an alternative to an ISO container. Pat agrees that this is a good approach to support the water needs at Summit and CPS should move forward based on this concept. f.Flying it will be expensive and not sure it will be able to make the GrIT. May be able to wait to fly it in the spring of 2017. g.CPS will work on developing a concept and pricing for the new water module. In the film Million Dollar Baby, director Clint Eastwood uses protectiveness and thoughtfulness to demonstrate ways in which a person uses kindness to determine their destiny. In the film Frankie appears to be a stubborn man, who is very self centered although this is not the case. Throughout the film his attitude begins to become clearer to the viewer and he becomes less skewed. His ultimate decision in the end of the film proves his true identity and shows how protectiveness and thoughtfulness has shaped his destiny. Often individuals use kindness to shape and alter their destiny either for, better or worse. An individual often show kindness, a form uncertain or requires a greater informed view/perspective. Protectiveness can be a way that defines a person showing kindness, although within the film and within humanity different perspectives can cause different perception or provide different impressions. Frankie is a stubborn old man, a coach to fighters, and has acquired vast knowledge on boxing. Maggie had attended a fight, and they were both walking down that back hall when she approached Frankie, one may believe that Frankie saying I don t train girls is arrogant and even sexist, it actually shows kindness. Frankie has protective nature as one of his character traits, the quote is said to protect Maggie from getting into something that
