Not once did she complain about my lack helping out around the house: skirting the laundry
folding, dinner preparation and dish washing; all of which I blamed on this document. And she
was always there when I needed her the most. I recently wrote in an op ed for the International
Association for Food Protection s student group that there is an increased need for competent
graduates with food safety specialties to enter the work force into industry or regulatory
positions. Our generation of scientists will be charged with building safer systems to protect
public health and charged with laying the foundation for everyone along the farm to fork
continuum to engage in food safety dialogue. Much of this work will be supported by generous
funders, such as this project was, through the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food Healthy
Futures, and the Ontario Greenhouse Vegetable Growers. It is imperative that industry and
government alike continue to fund real world practical research and continue to develop the
food safety professionals of tomorrow. February 6, 2005 Ben TABLE OF CONTENTS Chapter 1.

Cell Phones Are Changing The Lives Of Canadians
Cell Phones In Canadian Lives I believe cell phones are changing the lives of Canadians in a
negative way for several different reasons; all of which will be outlined below. First is the issue
of intimacy in relationships, because of cell phones we seem to have lost intimacy in our
relationships. I am not just talking about the intimacy between couples, I am referring to the
intimacy in all of our relationships. It is not unusual for a group of friends to be in the same
room, and barely talk to each other. Some might say it is unnecessary to speak just because you
are together, and I would agree, except I am not referring to the comfortable silence that occurs
when people are together. I am referring to the silence that occurs when every other person in the
room has their cell phone in their hand, texting, watching Youtube, or checking their Facebook
page. I have witnessed two people texting each other, you say, so what s the big deal? , I then
explain that they were sitting beside each other! How many times in an hour do you check your cell
phone? According to research scientist Helen Lee Lin, writing in Scientific American, the report
suggests that cell phones may serve as a reminder of the wider network to which we could connect,
inhibiting our ability to connect with the people right next to us. (http://www.cbc.ca/strombo/news

The Gastrointestinal System
Digestion occurs mainly in the gut, formally known as the gastrointestinal (GI) system. Organs in
the GI system include the stomach, small and large intestines as well as accessory organs such as
the liver, gall bladder and pancreas. Accessory organs are known to provide secretions into the GI
tract. These secretions include digestive juices that enter the gut by glands, including salivary
glands, gastric glands in the stomachwall, pancreas and wall of the small intestine. Gastrin is a
peptide hormone that stimulates secretion of gastric acid by the parietal cells of the stomach and
helps gastric motility (Dimaline and Varro, 2014). It is important due to acid production in the
stomach for dissolving and digesting some foods and is essential for normal cell growth in the
stomach lining, walls of small intestine and colon.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Cholecystokinin (CCK) is an important hormonal regulator of the digestive process by contracting
the gallbladder and stimulating pancreatic juice secretion. Based on rodent data, the pancreas is
considered to be regulated physiologically by CCK, but not by gastrin (Fourmy, Gigoux, Reubi,
2011). CCK cells are concentrated in the small intestine, where the hormone is secreted into the
blood following ingestion. Primary functions of CCK also include stimulation of pancreatic
secretion and gallbladder contraction, regulation of gastric emptying, and induction of satiety
(Liddle, 1997). Thus, CCK is first in rank due to its contribution in regulating ingestion, digestion,
and absorption of

The Relations Between Britain and Its American Colonies
From 1754 to 1763, the French and Indian War took place. This war altered the political, economic,
and ideological relations between Britain and its American colonies. It was the last of four North
American wars waged from 1689 to 1763 between the British and the French. In these struggles,
each country fought for control of the continent with the assistance of Native American and
colonial allies. The French and Indian War occurred to end the land dispute between the British and
French. Whoever won, in reality, gained an empire. It was a determined and eventually successful
attempt by the British to get a dominant position in North America, the West Indies, and the
subcontinent of India. Although Britain had won all this land,... Show more content on

people weren t liking what Britain was trying to do with the colonies. They knew what had to be
done and wanted nothing of Britain. The British thought since they won the French and Indian
War and rightfully gained all this new land, that they would have it all. They thought that they
ve have gained the people along with the land. This was not the case at all. The people probably
could have lived under british rule, but Britain screwed it all up. Britain s ego shot sky high and
got very greedy. The people did not want to be a part of this. They revolted against the mother
land. Politically, the relationship between the colonies and Britain was destroyed. Britain also
believed they would get a lot of money into the mother country from the colonies. But as time went
on, they found out they did not. The other thing that torn the lands apart were the ideological
relations. The colony people hated being controlled across seas. Even the soldiers who were on the
British side got fed up with everything. A group of them sworn that they would never do duty there
again. Britain s relationship with its American colonies was basically

How Did Ansel Adams Influence To Photography
Ansel Adams was a photographer and environmentalist born in San Francisco,
California in 1902. He had a very solitary and lonely child, which helped develop his love for
nature, as seen in a lot of his works. Adams also became known for his style and influence on/by
other artists. But, because of his childhood and the way he grew up,
Adams became the astounding artist known today.
The style of Adams has become very well known today, as straightforward shots of nature and
landscapes, but he wasn t originally that way. Adams originally used the style of pictorial , which
means Adams tried to make the photos seem more like artworks than photographs. In 1930, Ansel
Adams met Paul Strand and then switched to

Besides his fame for his photos, his techniques were almost as popular, he even wrote 10 books on
the subject and are the most well known on the technique.
The influence Ansel Adams had on other photographers was astounding. He was close friends
with many famous photographers himself, and yet they still came to him for help with
techniques and styles. Becuase of that influence, he was apart of many great art movements and
clubs, such as the Group f/64 and the Sierra Club. Adams was not only well known in the
freelance art world but was a big part of commercial photography as well. The National Parks
system hired Adams to take photos of their parks, which he did for them and even in his own free
time. Ansel Adams absolutely loved nature and the National park, questionably his most famous
work was shot in
Yosemite National Park, Moon over Half Dome. He has even been criticized for idealizing a
wilderness that no longer exists. Which is not true, because

Henrik Ibsen s A Doll House
In the play, A Doll House by Henrik Ibsen, the title itself symbolizes the dependent and degraded
role of the wife within traditional marriages. Ibsen portrayed the generous nature root into women
by society, as well as the significant action of this nature, and lastly the need for them to find their
own voice in a world ruled by men. Ibsen wrote this play in 1879, this is the era where women were
obedient to men, tend the children until their husband came home, and stood by the Cult of
Domesticity. The cult of Domesticity stated that first, women must be more religious than men,
second be pure in heart, mind and body, third, submit to their husbands and fourth stay home. Ibsen
uses the character of Nora Helmer to emerge the women who does not follow these norms, her
character introduced women to femininity and furthermore the fight towards equal rights. The final
act of A Doll House serves as a universal appeal, when Nora Helmer walked out on her husband and
children it touched the human spirit and awakened human emotions it created a personal
connection with women throughout the world. The final act of A Doll House was known as the
door slam heard around the world.
Kate Chopin s The Story of an Hour written shortly after Henrik Ibsen A Doll House, Chopin
depicts how a marriage at the turn of the nineteenth century changes. Chopin also focuses on
illustrating the role of a woman at the turn of the nineteenth century and how that illustration has

The book White Fang is written by author Jack London. White Fang takes place in the 1980 s
Klondike gold rush. It tells the story of a wolf named White Fang, who is three fourths wolf and
one fourth dog, and was born in the wild, but was brought into a village at a young age. White
Fang is then brought to Fort Yukon by his current master Grey Beaver, and White Fang starts to
fight the new found dogs that come off the boat for fun. Beauty Smith, a man who is very mean
and very ugly, wants to buy White Fang from Grey Beaver because of White Fang s

father, and was very nosy. Soon another famine comes, and all of his brothers and sisters die,
and his father dies from being attacked by a lynx. The mother kills the lynx s kittens, and the
lynx was going to kill White Fang, but the she wolf saved White Fang and killed the lynx. The
next central setting is in an Indian camp where Grey Beaver takes White Fang and the she wolf,

noteworthy measure of danger over different territories of a specific association for its worldwide
nature and direct effect on the association s monetary execution. Whether a firm is managing
quality and security difficulties, supply deficiencies, legitimate issues, security issues,
arrangement or natural agreeability some component of danger is constantly present. Therefore,
the corporation should always be ready to face any situation and deal with risk and threat
mitigation. Organizations having supply chain world wide face more risks such as supply
disruptions, longer lead times etc. caused by global customs, foreign policy regulations, port

Nuclear Bombs During The Cold War
The Cold War was a frightening time for everyone involved, with the threat of nuclear destruction
constantly looming over the lives of American and Soviet citizens alike. Since the Cold War ended
in 1991, the immediate concern over nuclear war has definitely dwindled, though not vanished.
More recently, concern has risen over the few more sporadic and antagonistic countries (mostly
North Korea), that do have nuclear weapons. Where the Cold Warbrought constant tension, the
modern nuclear menace brings a constant uncertainty over which small power (or potentially large
one) may decide to actually use their nuclear bombs for gain or posturing. Nuclear war was
without a doubt a much closer and much more direct fear during the Cold War, but today... Show

The Token Status Of Female And Female Relational...
The present study serves to evaluate the relationship between the token status of female cadets
and the existence of female relational aggression. It is my hypothesis that the added pressures
experienced by token female cadets in the hyper competitive, male dominated environment of
West Point exacerbate female relational aggression as women seek to reject their token status in
an effort to be accepted by the dominant group. In order to analyze the connection between
tokenism and female relational aggression I will conduct surveys with female cadets to analyze
their experience as tokens and their experience with relational aggression. I will then draw from
these surveys to see if any connections exist between the two areas. Tokenism In Rosabeth Moss
Kanter s Men and Women of the Corporation, she lays out the theoretical framework of tokenism
through the evaluation of Industrial Supply Corporation, Indsco. In this corporation, women
held less than 10% of the salaried positions and no women were at the level reporting to officers
(Kanter, 1977). Kanter defines tokenism as a phenomenon that occurs in organizations where
groups of people are skewed in such a way that there is a large preponderance of one type over
another, up to a ratio of perhaps 85:15 (p. 382). Those who make up the numerical majority of the
group are labeled as the dominants and those who make up the minority are labeled as tokens.
Kanter indicates that they are labeled as such because

Use of Setting in The Shawl and The Portable Phonograph
In literature, setting is often used to enhance or develop characters, provide realism, and create a
mood or atmosphere for a story (Roberts 256). Two short stories, The Shawl by Cynthia Ozick and
Walter Van Tillburg Clark s The Portable Phonograph explore victims of war in the vivid settings
that the authors have created. Although both works are vague as to geographic setting and place in
time, the authors detailed descriptions of the character s surroundings envelop the reader and lend
an air of authenticity to the tales (Kauvar 180). The Shawl and The Portable Phonograph differ in
their treatment of symbolism and characterization but their ingenious ... Show more content on

The four survivors in Clark s tale rely on an old, hand cranked phonograph to provide them with
comfort and hope. The four men listen to the strains of the nocturne in an attitude of worship , all
but the musician recalling their pasts (Roberts 263). In a world that has been destroyed by man s
mechanical ingenuity, this phonograph, a mechanical device on its own, provides three of the men
with an escape from their own hell (Magill 565).
Cynthia Ozick and Walter Van Tillburg Clark differ dramatically in their treatment of characters
in their tales. Clark has been criticized for his characters lack of depth and his tendency to
stereotype the players in his stories. As discussed in Contemporary Literary Criticism, there is no
writer of equal talent [who] is more endangered by the inability to enrich his human types (Stine
78). Instead of focusing on expanding his characters, Clark uses them to embody and actualize his
notions about the possibly of defining self and position in the cosmos (Magill 562). In contrast to
Clark, Ozick deftly explores the psychological consequences of the setting on her characters
(Kauvar XV). She delves into the historical occurrences that shaped the [psyche] (Kauvar 180) and
focuses intently on the relationships that form between Rosa, her niece, and the child she is
striving to save.
The detailed settings created by Ozick and Clark help define the themes of their stories: the tenacity

Analysis Of Dave Barry s Guys Vs.
A short essay Guys vs. Men written by Dave Barry, presents Dave s perception on the difference
between Guys and Men . Dave presents his essay in a comical way that generalizes the men vs.
guys and also gender biased generalization. Dave argues that men hold too much of responsibilities
and many expectations in which guys do not and they live happier life. One of the methods he uses
to support his argument is a comparison. Other method he uses is the description of how he views
men vs. guys and gives his perspective. And the last method he uses to further his argument is the
use of hyperbole, exaggerationthrough out the essay.
First method of development Dave uses to further his argument is a comparision and gender biased
generalization. His temptation to buy new and unnecessary things just because he is a guy can be
compared when he compares females urge to rearrange furniture with males urge of using newest
and latest technical equipments. Dave separates guys and women by giving their choice that is
somewhat statistically true, that women are more interested in decorating house oppose to
buying latest version of technical items. Dave s use of logos play significant role here to support
his argument. Not only he compares guys and women, but also guys with his auxiliary dog. (919).
He compares that guys do not follow rules even though they know they are not suppose to do
things they do, just like his small auxiliary backup dog. Dave is saying that his

Network Bandwidth And Data Upload Time
Though client side deduplication brings in advantages such as reduction of network bandwidth
and data upload time, several security threats are associated with it. These threats have to be
addressed in order to reap the full potential of client side deduplication. Halevi et al. [3] identified
various threats that affect a remote storage system that implements client side deduplication.
First, in traditional storage systems, privacy and confidentiality are compromised when an
attacker learns the hash value of a file and gains access to the entire file from the server. For
example, Dropbox uses Secure Hash Algorithm 256 (SHA256) in a straightforward manner;
thus, it is possible for an attacker to obtain hashes for confidential files of others. Using the hash,
a hacker can easily download an unauthorized file from the server. A practical way for
performing this hack is demonstrated by the use of Dropship application programming interface
(API) utilities for Dropbox which allows a hacker to download confidential files of others from
Dropbox servers by obtaining the file hashes. This is comparatively easy to obtain, and exploiting
the weak client side deduplication technique that is applied [4]. Second, if an attacker can access
the server cache then all confidential hashes will be disclosed. Hence the attacker can make the
cloud storage service behave as a content distribution network (CDN) by publishing the hacked
hash values. In a case where the files hashes are published

Madeleine Vionnet Research Paper
Madeleine Vionnet was born in France in 1876 and was apprenticed to a dressmaker while she
was a child (Arnold, 2015). At the age of eleven, Mme. Madeline realized the gift of her hands
and became a seamstress. In the early 1900s, she began her career in a couture house in Paris,
Callot Soeurs (Arnold, 2015). There she worked for six years and skilled herself in draping
fabrics directly on live models. She was so dedicated to her passion that she worked twelve hours a
day and often during lunch hours. This dedication earned her the title of architect among other
dressmakers.
Later, she worked with Jacques Doucet from 1907 to 1912 (Arnold, 2015). Mr. Doucet was a
fashion designer and art collector. Here, Vionnet s first collection was considered a revolution in the
house and for its time. Unfortunately, an ageing Doucet could not keep up with the taste of women
after World War I. Vionnet never learned sketching, but developed skills in dressmaking in haute
couture before opening her own establishment in 1912 (Kirke, 1998).
During 1920, the war had passed and people were ready to push aside the old trends. When the
prohibition law passed, jazz music and new dances became all the rage. This influenced Madeleine

The protagonist of the story is Chantrea Conway.
The kind of person the protagonist is brave and reliable.

Flowers For Alggernon In Flowers For Algernon
Was Charlie better off before or after the operation?
Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes is about Charlie Gordon, a mentally disabled 37 year old
that is offered a one in a lifetime chance of being intelligent by having an operation. Although the
operation works and he becomes very intelligent, he slowly loses his intelligence later on. Although
Charlie has lost his I.Q which is his intelligence, he has still kept his E.Q which is his emotional
intelligence. Charlie also has the involvement of going through all of that which transforms him as
a person and he does not let anyone take advantage of him anymore. This shows that Charlie is still
better off after the operation than before.
To begin, Charlie is still better off after the surgery because he now has E.Q, or emotional
intelligence unlike he did before he got the operation. Before the operation, Charlie did not
understand the emotions of people. For instance, the entry on April 15 (Keyes 291) tells us that
when Charlie and Ms. Kinnian were talking, Ms. Kinnian got something in her eye and had to go
into the ladies room, but we knew that she was actually crying, an example of dramatic irony. This
displays that before the operation, Charlie does not know the emotional standpoint of people, but
after the operation Charlie does. To demonstrate, after Charlie had the operation but lost his

Silk Mill Research Paper
Scientists found a problem when it came to mass producing spider silk, spiders are extremely
territorial and tend to kill any other spider that invades said territory. This had been tested by
scientists with the Golden Globe Weaver spiders and led to most of the spider farm being wiped
out due to their cannibalism. So instead scientists looked to finding out if a different organism
could produce the spider silk, like goats. First, the experts had to identify the gene that spiders had
that produced the kind of silkthey were looking for. Eventually they found that there were six
variations that spiders produce. The one that the scientists decided on is called dragline silk, it
makes up the framework of a spiders web. They then experimented... Show more content on

According to one of the scientists taking care of a herd of seven genetically modified goats,
Randy Lewis, these goats are pampered because of how unique they are. The only misgivings I
have are for how far scientists will go in modifying organisms in the future after conquering small
changes in biology such as this. I fear that they may experiment too much with the genetics of
organisms and the original nature may be obliterated with changes that might be added. As a
consumer, I am ecstatic about the repercussions this could have in terms of medically and safety
for the average person and for officers of the law and military. This can save lives and provide

Analysis Of The Episode Nosedive From The Netflix...
In the episode Nosedive, from the Netflix series Black Mirror, the main character, Lacie Pound, is
obsessed with achieving a higher social media status (Dir. Wright, 2016. Writers. Jones Schur). She
is on the higher side of the rating spectrum, yet she continues to aim higher. Lacie is always giving
full ratings to everyone regardless of their status but pays particular attention to those who have
more stars. The difference between giving high status individuals good ratings and mid range
individuals is the hopes that they return the favour. Trying to achieve too much too quickly will not
result in good ratings for anyone, including Lacie. Unlike those in the mid range, high rating elites
will not always return the five stars that were... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
She never lets her guard down when it comes to her social media ratings. To continue increasing her
ratings, she is adamant on socializing with high status people. By applying Erving Goffman s
impression management, it is evident that there are multiple ways that Lacie uses to avoid public
shaming and embarrassment. Goffman s concept shows different situations that can be avoidable as
long as people present themselves in a certain way. When an individual is in public, it is best to be
continuously updated with recent events. Once out of the loop, that can result in public
embarrassment because the knowledge that has been applied is outdated and cannot compete with
the newer information. When shame is brought, there can be actions to avoid them such as
changing the subject or in Lacie s situation, sending full ratings in hopes of avoiding
embarrassment and to save face. Shame is a very hard thing to accept and it can change a person
s life drastically. It is the difference between having the highest rating and hitting rock bottom.
Achieving a higher status is easy, but being stripped of your status is just as simple. Before going
out in public, an update on knowledge can be done to avoid embarrassment and it can also be a
conversation starter showing how much attention is being paid to someone. The person showing
attention can feel a sense of success as a result of being constantly updated on social media, while

The Characteristics Of Christopher Columbus
Write your first paragraph here:
In document A, it was made by Jean Marzollo. It s also written as a poem. It was written in 1948.
The poem was about when Christopher Columbus went traveling to different islands through the
day and night and he met lots of kind people in an island. He had to bring treasure for his people
too. The purpose was to prove people that he was a very good, brave, and a bright man for
traveling and finding treasure for his people. The point of view in this poem or document is that
Christopher was a brave and a kind man. This point of view is different from the others because
this shows that it s a peaceful and it has a few nice things about Christopher Columbus. The best
difference is between this source and source C. In source three it shows negative and violent things
for what Christopher Columbus did.

Helmet Safety Research Paper
Bike riding is a lot of fun, but accidents happen. The safest way to use your bike is for
transportation, not play. Every year, about 300,000 kids go to the emergency department
because of bike injuries, and at least 10,000 kids have injuries that require a few days in the
hospital. Some of these injuries are so serious that children die, usually from head injuries. A
head injury can mean brain injury. That s why it s so important to wear your bike helmet.
Wearing one doesn t mean you can be reckless, but a helmet will provide some protection for
your face, head, and brain in case you fall down. Bike helmets are so important that the U.S.
government has created safety standards for them. Your helmet should have a sticker that says it
meets standards set by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). If your helmet doesn

However bees, specifically honeybees through their honey bee dancing, have demonstrated that
they have a rather limited amount of displacement. Instead of vocally expressing it, the bees use
their body to communicate as they can physically point out the general location of where the
food is located. Ir is rather symbolic. This surpasses the here and now barrier that limit many
animals. But, the honey bee s form of communication does not allow them to speak of the past or

The Importance Of An Effective Teacher
Educating is as intricate as the learning procedure is for each student. Educating is not just
lecturing in front of the class and later on give them tests to assess their knowledge. Being a
teacher your style must adapt constantly for the diversity of the children in our classroom as
well as their learning styles. To be viable in my work, planning and managing your time is
crucial in setting up appropriate lesson plans for the children. I trust that with information I have
accumulated throughout the years on the qualities of an effective teacher, I will have the
capacity to arrange strategies and imaginatively design strategies for difficulties and issues that I
will experience in the classroom environment. The key to success would be to always keep in
mind the child s needs and to understand how society is evolving. The learning process isn t the
same in all children but instead it is an intricate procedure where each student learns differently
even as they get older. This occurs by the brain and its astounding ability to recall occasions and
learn things. Not all children are the same so it is important to figure out and understand how their
brain works. The brain is separated into three principle areas to be specific, the forebrain which is
in charge of the learning process, the midbrain and hindbrain. Located in the midbrain is the
cerebral cortex, which is in charge of memory, recognition and thought. Having realized that the
mind is involved in learning, it

Futurism And Fascism Similarities
Futurism and Fascism were two essential movements in the history of the Italian state. Futurism
was an attempt to rid Italy of its past and create a new, improved country through the destruction
and aggression while fascism was a radical, political movement. The relationship between these two
ideas continues to be questioned. Did Fascismcause Futurism, vice versa, or is there in fact no
correlation between the two? I will discuss the interaction between Fascism and Futurism as well
as several pieces of Futurist art work. These pieces include Unique Forms of Continuity in Space
by Boccioni, Armored Train in Action by Severini, Funeral of the Anarchist Galli by CarrГ. Not
only are these pieces the epitome of Futurism, but they also add insight as to how the Futurist
movement impacted the political ideology of Fascism. Futurism is not the sole cause of Fascism;
rather, the Futurist movement coordinated Fascist ideas and allowed it to grow as a political

The Attacks On The World Trade Center
Many people remember where they were, what they were doing, and how they reacted to the
news of the attacks on the World Trade Center. Questions running through people s minds would
be who was responsible for this, and how could we let something this dreadful happen to this
great nation of ours. About 14 years ago the United States was not involved in any type of war,
believe it or not, ISIS did not exist, and people were not aware of the Islamic terrorist group, al

than what it is today, and airport security was extremely lenient. September 11th, 2001 marks a

the United States today. It was a beautiful, sunny morning at the World Trade Center in New York

coming from Boston, crashed into the side of the north tower. This was the first of four planes that

commuter plane that accidentally crashed. However, seventeen minutes later, the second plane,

The Impact Of Digital Technology On Society
With new technical breakthroughs happening every minute, technology is advancing far beyond
our imagination. The internet has become increasingly accessible with new smartphones and
smart devices, and with them came new social media applications. Social media has now
become a large factor in the lives of many people across the globe as a means of finding and
distributing information. People spend more and more time on the internet, and less time having
face to face human interactions. Instead of human interactions and networking, popularity and
social status is now based on friends on Facebook, followers on Twitter, and Instagram likes .
The lack of meaningful social interactions has caused an increase in mental health issues such as
social anxiety and depression, and adversely impacts human society. Digital technology
negatively affects happiness because it causes loneliness, mental illness and a disconnection from
the real world. Social platforms negatively affect happiness because it causes loneliness. As
social media becomes more pronounced in our daily lives, the further apart we grow from each
other physically and the closer we become on the internet. A person might have 2,000 friends on
Facebook but in reality has no real friends to connect with on a more personal level. The phrase,

along with other social media platforms is interfering with our real friendships,

Mozart And Beethoven s Musical Origins
Haydn began his musical career as a choirboy in Vienna up until the age of 17. Mozart and
Beethoven s musical origins are similar, both coming from families with musical backgrounds.
Mozart s father taught him and his sister before taking them to tour throughout Europe.
Beethoven also studied with his father before receiving his study abroad opportunity in Vienna
in 1792. After serving as a choirboy, Haydn found himself in need of a means to make a living.
He was barely able to support himself as a freelance musician. Haydn s first serious position
occurred around 1757 when he became music director for Count Morzin. It was also around this
time that Haydn began to write some of his first symphonies. Most of Haydn s earlier symphonies
were three movement works (fast slow fast), somewhat like the Italian opera overture. Other
symphonies were four movement works arranged much like a sonata de chiesa. In 1761, Haydn
began working for the EsterhГЎzy princes, spending nearly 30 years at the EsterhГЎzy court. He
composed at every wish of the EsterhГЎzy princes; any work they demanded. Haydn s duties
included conducting, training, and supervising all musicians, and maintaining instruments. He built
an orchestra of 25 players His time at Eszterhaza really influenced the success of his career; Haydn
got to hear his work in excellent performances. Because Esterhaza was so isolated, vsitors would

Before we go into this, we have to understand the difference between the foreigner and the
American. When Muslims immigrate to the US, they are faced with the constant stares of
onlookers who are confused of what they are, where they come from, and when are they leaving.
As you can tell, Americans have always seen Muslims as the other , but tensions intensified after
the 9/11 attacks. The 9/11 attacks brought Muslim culture to the forefront. Many people started
performing hate crimes against Muslims and Islamic nations. The American government has
sanctioned surveillance and investigations into Islamic nations in order to prevent another 9/11
attack. The government has perpetuated this hatred towards Muslims on the basis that since all
terrorists are Muslims, all Muslims must be terrorists. Furthermore, Americans have this idea
that Muslims should apologize for the 9/11 attacks. The entire Muslim culture was not
responsible for 9/11. Although it seems to be easy to point the finger at one group of people, it
becomes difficult when you are blaming a group of people on one person s actions. If Americans
expect an apology for Muslims, all whites should be prepared to apologize to blacks for slavery.
The apology concept is complete ludicrous. If you believe that all Muslims are terrorists, this
judgment makes the statement that all blacks are criminals true. If either one are true, how do we
explain Barack Obama and Farah Pandith. In addition, airport customs have used the 9/11 attacks
as an excuse for random security checks of Muslims. This promotes an almost majority rule of
widespread racial profiling of Muslims. On the airport, there are numerous customs checkpoints for
Homeland Security that takes a minimum of 2 hours to catch your plane. Americans even have this

Payday Loan Loans Are A Good Option
But sometimes there are unforeseen financial circumstances. Paydays loans are a good option to
consider. Keep these tips in mind when thinking about getting a payday loan.
People should only use a payday loan as their last resort. Loans carry very high interest rates which
actually have you paying close to 25 percent of the initial amount of the loan. Prior to securing a
payday loan, investigate your options. A simple method to find reputable payday loan lenders to
to look on websites that review them. You can get information on which companies are
trustworthy and which ones have shady practices that you should avoid. If set on getting payday
loans, review all information before signing a contract. There are scams that are set up to offer a
subscription that you may or may not want, and take the money right out of your bank checks
account without your knowledge. Do not get involved in a never ending vicious cycle. You
should never get a payday loan to get the money to pay the note on another one. Do everything
you can to get out of this cycle. It is very easy to fall into this trap if you don t take steps to prevent
it. The costs can spiral out of control quickly and leave you broke.
Be sure you have a clear understanding of payment due dates. Loans have high rates when it comes
to their interest rates, and these companies often charge fees from late payments. It is imperative
that these types of loans are paid on time. It s even better to do so prior to the day they

Not once did she complain about my lack helping out around the house: skirting the laundry folding, dinner preparation and dish washing; all of which I blamed on this document. And she was always there when I needed her the most. I recently wrote in an op ed for the International Association for Food Protection s student group that there is an increased need for competent graduates with food safety specialties to enter the work force into industry or regulatory positions. Our generation of scientists will be charged with building safer systems to protect public health and charged with laying the foundation for everyone along the farm to fork continuum to engage in food safety dialogue. Much of this work will be supported by generous funders, such as this project was, through the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food Healthy Futures, and the Ontario Greenhouse Vegetable Growers. It is imperative that industry and government alike continue to fund real world practical research and continue to develop the food safety professionals of tomorrow. • 3. Cell Phones Are Changing The Lives Of Canadians Cell Phones In Canadian Lives I believe cell phones are changing the lives of Canadians in a negative way for several different reasons; all of which will be outlined below. First is the issue of intimacy in relationships, because of cell phones we seem to have lost intimacy in our relationships. I am not just talking about the intimacy between couples, I am referring to the intimacy in all of our relationships. It is not unusual for a group of friends to be in the same room, and barely talk to each other. Some might say it is unnecessary to speak just because you are together, and I would agree, except I am not referring to the comfortable silence that occurs when people are together. I am referring to the silence that occurs when every other person in the room has their cell phone in their hand, texting, watching Youtube, or checking their Facebook page. I have witnessed two people texting each other, you say, so what s the big deal? , I then explain that they were sitting beside each other! How many times in an hour do you check your cell phone? According to research scientist Helen Lee Lin, writing in Scientific American, the report suggests that cell phones may serve as a reminder of the wider network to which we could connect, inhibiting our ability to connect with the people right next to us. (http://www.cbc.ca/strombo/news /study finds cell phones may damage relationships.html) A recent set of studies by Andrew K. Przybylski and Netta Weinstein of the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. The Gastrointestinal System Digestion occurs mainly in the gut, formally known as the gastrointestinal (GI) system. Organs in the GI system include the stomach, small and large intestines as well as accessory organs such as the liver, gall bladder and pancreas. Accessory organs are known to provide secretions into the GI tract. These secretions include digestive juices that enter the gut by glands, including salivary glands, gastric glands in the stomachwall, pancreas and wall of the small intestine. Gastrin is a peptide hormone that stimulates secretion of gastric acid by the parietal cells of the stomach and helps gastric motility (Dimaline and Varro, 2014). It is important due to acid production in the stomach for dissolving and digesting some foods and is essential for normal cell growth in the stomach lining, walls of small intestine and colon.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Cholecystokinin (CCK) is an important hormonal regulator of the digestive process by contracting the gallbladder and stimulating pancreatic juice secretion. Based on rodent data, the pancreas is considered to be regulated physiologically by CCK, but not by gastrin (Fourmy, Gigoux, Reubi, 2011). CCK cells are concentrated in the small intestine, where the hormone is secreted into the blood following ingestion. Primary functions of CCK also include stimulation of pancreatic secretion and gallbladder contraction, regulation of gastric emptying, and induction of satiety (Liddle, 1997). Thus, CCK is first in rank due to its contribution in regulating ingestion, digestion, and absorption of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. The Relations Between Britain and Its American Colonies From 1754 to 1763, the French and Indian War took place. This war altered the political, economic, and ideological relations between Britain and its American colonies. It was the last of four North American wars waged from 1689 to 1763 between the British and the French. In these struggles, each country fought for control of the continent with the assistance of Native American and colonial allies. The French and Indian War occurred to end the land dispute between the British and French. Whoever won, in reality, gained an empire. It was a determined and eventually successful attempt by the British to get a dominant position in North America, the West Indies, and the subcontinent of India. Although Britain had won all this land,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... On it you will see, The TIMES are Dreadful, Doleful, Dismal, Dolorous, and DOLLAR LESS. It also says on the masthead, EXPIRING: In Hopes of a Resurrection to LIFE again. Obviously the people weren t liking what Britain was trying to do with the colonies. They knew what had to be done and wanted nothing of Britain. The British thought since they won the French and Indian War and rightfully gained all this new land, that they would have it all. They thought that they ve have gained the people along with the land. This was not the case at all. The people probably could have lived under british rule, but Britain screwed it all up. Britain s ego shot sky high and got very greedy. The people did not want to be a part of this. They revolted against the mother land. Politically, the relationship between the colonies and Britain was destroyed. Britain also believed they would get a lot of money into the mother country from the colonies. But as time went on, they found out they did not. The other thing that torn the lands apart were the ideological relations. The colony people hated being controlled across seas. The National Parks system hired Adams to take photos of their parks, which he did for them and even in his own free time. Ibsen portrayed the generous nature root into women by society, as well as the significant action of this nature, and lastly the need for them to find their own voice in a world ruled by men. Ibsen wrote this play in 1879, this is the era where women were obedient to men, tend the children until their husband came home, and stood by the Cult of Domesticity. The cult of Domesticity stated that first, women must be more religious than men, second be pure in heart, mind and body, third, submit to their husbands and fourth stay home. Ibsen uses the character of Nora Helmer to emerge the women who does not follow these norms, her character introduced women to femininity and furthermore the fight towards equal rights. Since the Cold War ended in 1991, the immediate concern over nuclear war has definitely dwindled, though not vanished. More recently, concern has risen over the few more sporadic and antagonistic countries (mostly North Korea), that do have nuclear weapons. • 13. The Token Status Of Female And Female Relational... The present study serves to evaluate the relationship between the token status of female cadets and the existence of female relational aggression. It is my hypothesis that the added pressures experienced by token female cadets in the hyper competitive, male dominated environment of West Point exacerbate female relational aggression as women seek to reject their token status in an effort to be accepted by the dominant group. In order to analyze the connection between tokenism and female relational aggression I will conduct surveys with female cadets to analyze their experience as tokens and their experience with relational aggression. I will then draw from these surveys to see if any connections exist between the two areas. Tokenism In Rosabeth Moss Kanter s Men and Women of the Corporation, she lays out the theoretical framework of tokenism through the evaluation of Industrial Supply Corporation, Indsco. In this corporation, women held less than 10% of the salaried positions and no women were at the level reporting to officers (Kanter, 1977). Kanter defines tokenism as a phenomenon that occurs in organizations where groups of people are skewed in such a way that there is a large preponderance of one type over another, up to a ratio of perhaps 85:15 (p. 382). Those who make up the numerical majority of the group are labeled as the dominants and those who make up the minority are labeled as tokens. Kanter indicates that they are labeled as such because ... Use of Setting in The Shawl and The Portable Phonograph In literature, setting is often used to enhance or develop characters, provide realism, and create a mood or atmosphere for a story (Roberts 256). Two short stories, The Shawl by Cynthia Ozick and Walter Van Tillburg Clark s The Portable Phonograph explore victims of war in the vivid settings that the authors have created. Although both works are vague as to geographic setting and place in time, the authors detailed descriptions of the character s surroundings envelop the reader and lend an air of authenticity to the tales (Kauvar 180). Dave presents his essay in a comical way that generalizes the men vs. guys and also gender biased generalization. Other method he uses is the description of how he views men vs. guys and gives his perspective. And the last method he uses to further his argument is the use of hyperbole, exaggerationthrough out the essay. First method of development Dave uses to further his argument is a comparision and gender biased generalization. His temptation to buy new and unnecessary things just because he is a guy can be compared when he compares females urge to rearrange furniture with males urge of using newest and latest technical equipments. Dave separates guys and women by giving their choice that is somewhat statistically true, that women are more interested in decorating house oppose to buying latest version of technical items. • 16. Network Bandwidth And Data Upload Time Though client side deduplication brings in advantages such as reduction of network bandwidth and data upload time, several security threats are associated with it. These threats have to be addressed in order to reap the full potential of client side deduplication. Halevi et al. [3] identified various threats that affect a remote storage system that implements client side deduplication. First, in traditional storage systems, privacy and confidentiality are compromised when an attacker learns the hash value of a file and gains access to the entire file from the server. For example, Dropbox uses Secure Hash Algorithm 256 (SHA256) in a straightforward manner; thus, it is possible for an attacker to obtain hashes for confidential files of others. Using the hash, a hacker can easily download an unauthorized file from the server. A practical way for performing this hack is demonstrated by the use of Dropship application programming interface (API) utilities for Dropbox which allows a hacker to download confidential files of others from Dropbox servers by obtaining the file hashes. This is comparatively easy to obtain, and exploiting the weak client side deduplication technique that is applied [4]. Second, if an attacker can access the server cache then all confidential hashes will be disclosed. Hence the attacker can make the cloud storage service behave as a content distribution network (CDN) by publishing the hacked hash values. In a case where the files hashes are published ... There she worked for six years and skilled herself in draping fabrics directly on live models. She was so dedicated to her passion that she worked twelve hours a day and often during lunch hours. Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes is about Charlie Gordon, a mentally disabled 37 year old that is offered a one in a lifetime chance of being intelligent by having an operation. Although Charlie has lost his I.Q which is his intelligence, he has still kept his E.Q which is his emotional intelligence. Charlie also has the involvement of going through all of that which transforms him as a person and he does not let anyone take advantage of him anymore. However bees, specifically honeybees through their honey bee dancing, have demonstrated that they have a rather limited amount of displacement. Instead of vocally expressing it, the bees use their body to communicate as they can physically point out the general location of where the food is located. Ir is rather symbolic. This surpasses the here and now barrier that limit many animals. But, the honey bee s form of communication does not allow them to speak of the past or think abstractly, so it is a rather limited useage of displacement. There has not been any animal that can use displacement to the degree in which is used in human language. Educating is not just lecturing in front of the class and later on give them tests to assess their knowledge. Being a teacher your style must adapt constantly for the diversity of the children in our classroom as well as their learning styles. To be viable in my work, planning and managing your time is crucial in setting up appropriate lesson plans for the children. I trust that with information I have accumulated throughout the years on the qualities of an effective teacher, I will have the capacity to arrange strategies and imaginatively design strategies for difficulties and issues that I will experience in the classroom environment. The key to success would be to always keep in mind the child s needs and to understand how society is evolving. The learning process isn t the same in all children but instead it is an intricate procedure where each student learns differently even as they get older. This occurs by the brain and its astounding ability to recall occasions and learn things. Not all children are the same so it is important to figure out and understand how their brain works. The brain is separated into three principle areas to be specific, the forebrain which is in charge of the learning process, the midbrain and hindbrain. Futurism was an attempt to rid Italy of its past and create a new, improved country through the destruction and aggression while fascism was a radical, political movement. The relationship between these two ideas continues to be questioned. Did Fascismcause Futurism, vice versa, or is there in fact no correlation between the two? I will discuss the interaction between Fascism and Futurism as well as several pieces of Futurist art work. These pieces include Unique Forms of Continuity in Space by Boccioni, Armored Train in Action by Severini, Funeral of the Anarchist Galli by CarrГ. Not only are these pieces the epitome of Futurism, but they also add insight as to how the Futurist movement impacted the political ideology of Fascism. The internet has become increasingly accessible with new smartphones and smart devices, and with them came new social media applications. Social media has now become a large factor in the lives of many people across the globe as a means of finding and distributing information. People spend more and more time on the internet, and less time having face to face human interactions. Instead of human interactions and networking, popularity and social status is now based on friends on Facebook, followers on Twitter, and Instagram likes . The lack of meaningful social interactions has caused an increase in mental health issues such as social anxiety and depression, and adversely impacts human society. Digital technology negatively affects happiness because it causes loneliness, mental illness and a disconnection from the real world. Social platforms negatively affect happiness because it causes loneliness. • 40. Mozart And Beethoven s Musical Origins Haydn began his musical career as a choirboy in Vienna up until the age of 17. Mozart and Beethoven s musical origins are similar, both coming from families with musical backgrounds. Mozart s father taught him and his sister before taking them to tour throughout Europe. Beethoven also studied with his father before receiving his study abroad opportunity in Vienna in 1792. After serving as a choirboy, Haydn found himself in need of a means to make a living. He was barely able to support himself as a freelance musician. Haydn s first serious position occurred around 1757 when he became music director for Count Morzin. It was also around this time that Haydn began to write some of his first symphonies. Most of Haydn s earlier symphonies were three movement works (fast slow fast), somewhat like the Italian opera overture. Other symphonies were four movement works arranged much like a sonata de chiesa. In 1761, Haydn began working for the EsterhГЎzy princes, spending nearly 30 years at the EsterhГЎzy court. He composed at every wish of the EsterhГЎzy princes; any work they demanded. Haydn s duties included conducting, training, and supervising all musicians, and maintaining instruments. He built an orchestra of 25 players His time at Eszterhaza really influenced the success of his career; Haydn got to hear his work in excellent performances. Many people started performing hate crimes against Muslims and Islamic nations. The American government has sanctioned surveillance and investigations into Islamic nations in order to prevent another 9/11 attack. The government has perpetuated this hatred towards Muslims on the basis that since all terrorists are Muslims, all Muslims must be terrorists. Furthermore, Americans have this idea that Muslims should apologize for the 9/11 attacks. The entire Muslim culture was not responsible for 9/11. Although it seems to be easy to point the finger at one group of people, it becomes difficult when you are blaming a group of people on one person s actions. If Americans expect an apology for Muslims, all whites should be prepared to apologize to blacks for slavery. The apology concept is complete ludicrous. If you believe that all Muslims are terrorists, this judgment makes the statement that all blacks are criminals true. If either one are true, how do we explain Barack Obama and Farah Pandith. In addition, airport customs have used the 9/11 attacks as an excuse for random security checks of Muslims. This promotes an almost majority rule of widespread racial profiling of Muslims.
