I am applying for this course as I believe this course will allow me to gain in depth knowledge of
crime in different societies as well as learning about different laws related to crime and criminal
justice. The way courts work and their way of approaching different issues with an unbiased

intelligence and security as the public sector of the working environment has always made me

Throughout this project, I found that working through the Standard Agenda to solve a problem
was an effective way for a group to decide upon a solution. Even though our group was
unexperienced using the Standard Agenda, we were able to use each other s strengths to improve
the quality of our discussion about the issue of rising college tuition. Looking back to previous
projects, I can see how our group has grown to betterunderstand the methods of effective group
work. While there were both beneficial and impeding forces at work in the task and social
processes, I feel that overall our group had a successful problem solving discussion. I believe that

I stood in fear in front of hundreds of people, and the entire time I could feel them judging me for
being a terrible dancer. I remember it vividly. Never in my life had I felt so embarrassed, so
unconfident in my skills. In my childhood, I was always praised for being an extremely good
dancer but now, at such an important moment of my life, my skills betrayed me and the tables
turned. Every time I heard the sound of laughter from the audience it felt as though they were
laughing at me. In one day, in a single hour, on a single stage I experienced my worst nightmare.

I watched several documentaries which allowed me to observe different species of primates living
in their natural habitats. I took notes of what I saw and researched information on the species to
fully understand the meaning of each discernable behavior. The first documentary that I watched
was made by KPBS San Diego and allowed me to observe a community of Bonobos living in their
natural habitat in Congo. Second documentary that I watched was a BBC documentary which
allowed me to observe a small community of Chimpanzees living in Uganda. I then watched a
second BBC documentary in which observed Crested Black Macaques in their natural habitat, the
Timbuktu Rainforest I could observe and take notes. I then reviewed the documentaries whiles

in the nineteenth century. The term Gestalt was coined as a definition for the perception of a whole
separate and different from its parts. Prior to this, psychologists had been analyzing the parts of the
whole in order to explain the whole. In order to test the new theory, principles of Gestalt were
established to prove that behavior is holistic rather than mere, singular sensations. These laws
include: Pragnanz, Closure, Continuity, Similarity, and Proximity. Experiments on chimpanzees
seemed to indicate that they use insight to solve problems. Using insight shows that they think
holistically, which helps prove Gestalt. This school of thought was often seen as academically lofty
and obscure, but still seems to be referenced if loosely today. At the turn of the twentieth century,
Wilhelm Wundtand Edward Titchener s atomistic views were dominant in psychology(LefranГ§ois,
2012). Wundt s structural approach focused on reducing mental processes to the smallest individual
unit in order to understand the whole. Introspection was Wundt s chosen method for discovery. In
the United States and elsewhere, behaviorism and its proponents were also directing research. The
behaviorists rejected introspection for stimuli and responses, focusing on observable behavior
(LefranГ§ois, 2012).

Shahmaleki attended a hearing with KSU officials Leitnaker and Reed about his alleged conduct.
At this hearing, the officials provided him with a detailed explanation of the six violations of the
threat management policy as well as the evidence supporting each of these charges. The officials
gave the Plaintiff an opportunity to respond to those allegations and he was able to present his
side of the story as well as any evidence that he wished. Kansas State University satisfied due
