The Revolution Of The United States Government
Based on the information provided to me from the text, and my own personal thoughts, I am a firm
believer that we are in a revolution at this day in age, and will always continue to be in a revolution so
long as the human race is here. I believe that being human, means you re always changing and society
is always revolving. As there are countless revolutions occuring at this time... I will like to state a few
that I have personally witnessed. These are: a political revolution, describing the never ending changes
in the United States Government; and a cultural revolution, a fairly old revolution that has been
gaining momentum in the past few decades.
As stated in the text, a revolution is ironic! There will ALWAYS be a problem; as one is ... Show more

As time continued, this battle played on every 4 years during each presidential election. Today, we see
this 200 year old revolution still continue in the 2016 election and now. The Republicans (Trump),
wanted a weaker government where taxes were reduced and many government programs were
defunded. He wanted to emphasize greater security by bumping up our Department of Defense
spending and banning refugees from Muslim dominate countries. The Democrats (Clinton)
emphasized a strong central government, where taxes were raised. They leaned more towards
freedoms, instead of securities. They wanted to continue to defund our military spending and fight for
civil issues such as DAPL, Pro choice on Abortions, and etc. We as a nation went from a government
controlled mostly by Democrats a few years ago, to a government being controlled by Republicans.
Even as the election has passed, and recorded in history, the turmoil of the recent changes have only
begun. However, this is what our government was set up to be, so that no matter how much we
change... how much the people s perspectives change, we will still have a foundation of human rights
and ethics that is unaimiously aggreed upon to keep America going. Another revolution that has been
around since the reign of King Kamehameha II (Liholiho), is a cultural revolution. A revolution, that
has been both violent and peaceful, causing lots of

Secondary Structure Prediction
When analyzing the secondary structure predictions of the query sequence from the five prediction
programs, the majority of the programs seemed to detect the presence of one long, uninterrupted helix
on the N terminal side of the pilE protein. However, some programs, such as PORTER (Pollastri et al.,
2005) and SSpro (Magnan et al., 2014) indicated the presence of two helices interrupted by a small
gap of random coils. While these results appear to contradict each other at first, upon further
inspection, this can be explained by the fact that when two helices are very close to each other, some
algorithms may erroneously pick it up as 1 long helix since secondary prediction programs are not
100% accurate. Thus, in the consensus secondary ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One possible reason for this discrepancy that while these species represent species that are homologs
of each other, some of their secondary structures may slightly differ from one another. Another
possible reason for this discrepancy may be because, as briefly mentioned before, secondary structure
prediction programs are not always accurate and thus, there could have been an error made in one of
the programs, allowing for detection of an extra beta strand or for a beta strand to go undetected. This
is perfectly illustrated by the PORTER server, which mysteriously predicts a helix spanning amino
acid residues 104 113 of the query sequence when all the other programs predicted either a beta strand
or random coil in that range instead (Figure 1b). Since PORTER was the only program to predict a
helix in this range, it is considered an outlier and thus, it can largely be ignored as an error when
making the consensus secondary structure prediction. The initial domain architecture was generated
based on the known pilE protein in Neisseria gonorrhoeae (control sequence) and consisted of two
domains, the N terminal domain and the pilA domain. Using the metaserver InterPro, the N terminal
domain was predicted to span amino acid residues 2 29, while the pilA domain was predicted to span
residues 36 161 (Finn et al., 2017). Although there seemed to be a somewhat high correspondence
between the secondary structure prediction analysis and the domain architecture

The Monk In The Canterbury Tales
A traditionally monk is, typically, a skinny old man who is wise or a young, fit man who is stilling
learning. They are, usually, kind people who prefer peacefully resolutions to problems, also they do
not indulge themselves with worldly desires they only use what they need to survive and nothing
more. They are people that are strong of mind and body and like to help those in need even if they do
not have much to give themselves. They are scholarly people who give up everything to pursue higher
state of mind, soul, and body. They do not hunt animals as a sport they are, mostly, vegetarians and
those who do eat meat will hunt enough to feed themselves and not a single animal more. That is what

There are colors in his attire that show the sins that he allowed to take him from the path of a true
monk. There are two colors that describe him completely. The colors are yellow and blue these three
colors represent the emotions greed and lust. The first emotion, greed, is shown and represented by
how much gold he wears and he dressed in expensive clothes instead of the normal, plain clothes that
monks usually wear. Greed is an emotion that monks left go when they a join a monastery. They do
this because when they become they must let go of their greed because monks are people that give to
others to make their lives easier while not caring for their own needs and wants. The Monk has not let
go of his greed which brings of the question of why he cannot let go of it. Is he that consumed by his
own wants and needs that he does not help feel the others or is because he is scared that he gives too
much and in up in the situation as them. The next sin that the Monk displays is lust. He displays it in
three different ways in lust for women, hunting, and riding. Hunting and riding are act lust because
lust is not just the yearning of sex with a woman (or a man) it is when a person loses self control and
acts on desires that are supposed to be acted upon. His lust for women that is be allowed because a

Avoiding the Possessive Shadow of Society
Ralph Waldo Emerson once wrote, It is easy in the world to live after the world s opinion; it is easy in
solitude to live after our own; but the great man is he who in the midst of the crowd keeps with perfect
sweetness the independence of solitude. (Emerson 1) Being one s self in today s society is increasingly
difficult every year and can have a major effect on the mental state of teenagers. It is easy to follow
the pack, but then one is just a faceless person marching in with the crowd with no true purpose; true
strength is in those who try to be themselves in the face of society. Many teens struggle with their
identities and can turn to self harm or even suicide to relieve their pain, yet not enough effort goes into
trying to help these struggling teens. In fact in a recent study done for Curing the illness: suicide
prevention , professor John Wensly states that Suicide rates are increasing alarmingly. Every year we
see a ten percent increase in suicide attempts alone. (Wensly 23) In his book Into the Wild, Jon
Krakauer writes about Christopher McCandless, who did anything but live in society s large and
possessive shadow. Chris broke free from society s chains and lived his life with adventure despite the
numerous people telling him to stop. Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer focuses on Christopher
McCandless and his mysterious decision to live on the road.

What Does The Scaffold Symbolize In The Scarlet Letter
Symbol of Sin In Nathaniel Hawthorne s The Scarlet Letter, the use of a torturous scaffold symbolizes
sin and redemption. In Hawthorne s novel, the afflicting scaffold is present in three scenes throughout
the story. The first scene occurs during the introduction of the novel, where Hester Prynne is given
time on the structure in return for her sinful crime of adultery. The second scene occurs in the middle
of the novel, where Arthur Dimmesdale stands on the scaffold, feeling remorse and guilt for his crime
which he commits with Prynne. The final scene takes place in the resolution of the story, where
Dimmesdale is dying and confesses his sin in front of the whole town. Throughout The Scarlet Letter,
the scaffold is a penalty described as ridicule, is used to symbolize sin, and is used to tie the characters
together. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, in this quote, On the other hand, a penalty which, in our days, would infer a degree of
mocking infamy and ridicule, might then be invested with almost as stern a dignity as the punishment
of death itself. (Hawthorne 35) the scaffold is used as mockery for the criminal. Hester Prynne was
sentenced to the scaffold and was verbally and physically abused by her fellow citizens. In addition,
this quote is describing the scaffold in great detail, The same platform or scaffold, black and weather

culprits who had since ascended it, remained standing beneath the balcony of the meetinghouse.

How To Write A Observation Of High School Observation
The school I was able to do the observation was Eastside High School where I observed sixteen hours
of a class. The class I observe is an English as a Second Language (ESL) class that prepare students
for college. The class is taught by Wilfredo Betance and he teach a 12 grade class. I wanted to do the
observation at Union City High school were I graduate but the board of education took a long to give
me permission. The other rest hours of the class observation were done with the classes videos. Those
videos were very interesting to watch and they have so much information. First, I will provide
information about the observation I did at the ESL class. In the class, there was some special students
but they were not pointed out. This class consisted on teaching very different materials for college
success for English Language Learner. The course is very helpful for students, and I which that I had
that class since I was a ELL student. On the first visit, they were discussing a lecture about college
history that they read before. They read and each wrote a response just like we do in most classes at
NJCU. In other classes, they watch video about their topics and response and discuss the subject. The
Others time I visited the class to do the observation they tend to talk about many subjects like bulling
and substances abuse. The teacher was new but they pay much attention to him. Also, they talk about
their goals and preparation for college. A few times they spoke Spanish, but

Why Art Is Art Therapy
Art is the activity of creating communicating and expressing important ideas or feelings through
imagination and originality. In a world of imperfections like ours, humans need arts to survive. Art is a
way for people to escape reality and get lost in their own world and fantasies. Arts allow bringing a
person s inner world into the tangible reality. It is a vital part of the society; it improves
communication between individuals and provides opportunities for self expression. Art is a subjective
activity, interpreting these creations depends on a person s own experiences, visionary thoughts, and
associations. It evokes memories and nostalgia and triggers one s emotions and feelings. Art is a
therapy since it can improve the physical and mental health of individuals, helps them to work out
their conflicts and problems, develop interpersonal skills, control behavior, reduce stress, increase self
esteem and self awareness. Arts are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some people prefer to see arts as just art. Most of the time, individuals go to therapy because they
need somebody to talk to, somebody that will be supportive and understanding, someone that will
provide them with good advice and guidance for their lives. Others might think that art therapy isn t
really effective since not everyone is gifted with an artistic talent. In this case the process of healing or
feeling better will take more time; first the individual has to learn the desired form of art before
starting to use it as a therapy. People may also disagree with the statement of art being therapeutic
because art is just for fun and entertainment it can never lead to solutions. Arts may provide a way of
self expression but it is not a solution oriented method. The main purpose of therapy is to assure a
better well being of a person by resolving their troubles, something that arts cannot do; it can only be
used as a relief method to feel better for a specific period of

Market Liberalisation Success, Failures And Challenges
Evidence of Market Liberalisation Success, Failures and Challenges The BRIC emerging economies
are some of the most successful market liberalisers with India having particular prosperity in
liberalising its inward capital flows and currency convertibility from 1991 to foreign investors. Post
liberalisation India is regarded as one of the fastest growing economies with an annual growth rate of
6.86% compared to 4.07% pre liberalisation (World Bank, 2014). Economists such as Saikia (2012)
regards this success down to India s rise in investment. In the decade after reforms FDI inflows to
India has grown by a staggering sixty fold increase to $6 billion (Kletzer, 2004) showing how the
India economy has become a major destination for FDI and is reaping the economic benefits. One of
the policies causing this attraction is the ongoing gradual privatisation of varied sectors. This
gradualism approach has promoted efficiency through competition away from monopolized state
owned enterprises but also into global competition. The increased profitability of this process has
created an environment for investors to thrive upon. Aside from India s great success the issue of the
continued dominant role of state owned banks is an ongoing issue. India follows our theoretical
argument of being inefficient due to government guarantees and consequently must fund
recapitalisation in the light of declining market share and profitability. However recent private bank
involvement in crises around the

Prohibition Vs War on drugs Essay
The United States of America ˆs war on drugs today is very similar to America ˆs
Prohibition of Alcohol in the 1920 ˆs. These two major issues of their time may not seem like they can
be logically compared, but statistics for usage and a correlating rise in crime for both eras show a
strong relationship. There is also a tendency for an outright defiance of the laws and law makers of the
United States government in both cases. Most people today think that the prohibition of the 1920 ˆs
and the current war on drugs have many contrasting points. The opposite is true. However, the points
that do contrast are more opinion based than fact oriented. The following paragraphs will attempt to
clearly and effectively show a comparison and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Four other cases of alcohol related robberies alone were reported that night. The increase in crime was
just one of the many problems created by Prohibition that was stupidly overlooked by the proponents
of the new law. There were many others. Gangs and the Mafia took over the streets resulting in bloody
feuds. They made massive amounts of money importing alcohol to the public. These organized crime
elements had a lot of police paid off to look the other way while they went about their business.
Smuggling liquor became a quick way to make money. Often, the liquor was homemade and very
impure. ¯Moonshine ˜ and other homemade alcohol resulted in 4,154 deaths in 1925 alone. By the mid
1920 ˆs, around forty million dollars worth of liquor had been illegally imported into the United States
and the undermanned police force was powerless to stop it. At this time, around ten percent of the
population was involved in some way in the illicit liquor business. In fact, some of the wealthiest and
most influential families in the U.S. today got the start of their fortunes during prohibition.
Speakeasies were opened everywhere throughout the country. These were secret or hidden bars behind
behind everyday business fronts. Passwords were often needed by patrons to get into the speakeasies.
Although police made a lot of busts and arrests for alcohol, most of the general population was not

Recall is one of two ways used to re access a memory (the other is recognition). According to Mastin,

Overall, timely charting should become a habit for the nurses at Excela Home Health and Hospice
Care Service. I believe that the best change theory to set this change in motion is Kotter s 2012 Eight
Step Plan for Integrating Change. This would be the most effective because it is the most specific and
seems as though it could function throughout an entire hospital department. For example, according to
Grossman (2017), Kotter s first step is to identify a need and communicate the necessity (p. 53). In
this scenario, the need would be for more timely charting and the necessity would be to improve
patient care and nurses state of mind (it is hard to function well when tired from staying up all night
charting). The second step is to, create power in numbers to lead the change (p. 53). This would be
done by motivating the supervisors to engage both management and nurses. The third through eighth
steps involve developing the policy, communicating the policy, and then implementing and enforcing
it, and finally evaluating the functionality of the policy after it is in place. Kotter s Eight Step plan is a
very clear cut change theory that I feel covers all of

Man s relationship with horses extends back thousands of years. They have impacted wars, provided
transportation, and improved farming techniques; all while being great companions for humans.
Though they play this pivotal role in human history, only a few studies have been conducted to help us
understand what they express through their vocalizations, and their ability to recognize individuals.
Horses encompass a wide array of verbal and nonverbal cues in their communication. Vocalizations
and body language can convey caller s sex, body size, identity, motivation, and physiological states
(Yeon, 2012, p.180). Horses are social creatures making the information encoded and decoded in
verbal and nonverbal communication extremely important within their social structures.
Vocal communication transmits information about horses state of mind; this can be done using a
combination of vocal and laryngeal sounds. Horses use 10 distinctive sounds when communicating
vocally and each of these express different meanings (Zlotnik, 2012). These distinct sounds are neighs
(whinnies), whispers, nickers, squeals, screams, groans, blows, snores, snorts, and roars. Snores,
blows, and snorts are unique in that they are used with the throat and nose not vocal cords.
Understanding these vocalizations is essential in revealing horse s motivation and improving horse
human relationships, as well as if these calls are referential, learned and can be used flexibly.

Assess The Causes Of Murder
Murder is an act of taking one s life unlawfully for own benefits (Pine, 2016). Such behaviours have
to be severely reprimanded. However, there are a few causes of murder which need to be considered
by the community insanity, self defence and imperfect legal system.
First of all, some people murder simply because they go insane. Parry and Moyes (2013) said that
there were actually 1216 victims who got killed by the people with mental illness from 2001 to 2010
in the United Kingdom. Some of the murderers were suffering from mental disorders; so, they could
not control themselves on what they are doing or what they are going to do. There was a 60 year old
man who shot dead his neighbour. Two consultant forensic psychiatrists provided evidences which had
proven the man was suffering from mental illness; thus, he was unable to control himself from his
actions (O Riordan, 2016). Moreover, it is difficult to understand the causes of a child who murdered
his or her parents, the one who brings them up; however, insanity might be one of the reasons that

Sita Brahmachari Red Leaves
Red Leaves Draft 4
Red Leaves by Sita Brahmachari is a great book for an IB student to understand and explore the global
context of orientation in space and time. Red Leaves is about three kids named Aisha, Iona and Zak,
and how their lives become interlaced in the city of Home Oaks, in the United Kingdom. The story of
Red Leaves includes 3 key aspects of orientation in space and time; the importance of personal
histories, the concept of home, and the interconnectedness of individuals and civilizations.
By reading this book, IB students will learn the importance of personal history, and they will learn to
appreciate people for who they are. The characters in Red Leaves learn that everyone has a back story,
and they learn to respect it. For instance, Aisha is a refugee from Somalia who fled because of the
Civil War in her country. She has been living with Liliana, her foster mother. This teaches IB students
about how someone s past can affect their lives even now. Aisha s past affected her personality by
making her a stronger person, and letting her stay true to her roots and religion. Another example is
Iona. She was abused by her step father, and those experiences affect the way she acts. She acts tough

Truman Capote and Postmodernism
Truman Capote, as obsessed with fame and fortune as with penning great words, was a writer who
became as well known for his late night talk show appearances as for his prose (Patterson 1). Capote
was a literary pop star at the height of his fame in 1966, after he had written such classic books as,
Other Rooms, Other Voices, Breakfast at Tiffany s, and In Cold Blood. Postmodernism was a literary
period that began after the Second World War and was a rejection of traditional writing techniques. It
used fragmented sentences and questionable narrators, as well as many other unconventional
techniques, to break the previous barriers of literature. Truman Capote was a major player in the

Capote validates Smith for trying to break out of the social mold of the problem child . Capote is also
indifferent towards the lives of the Clutters. Mr. Clutter couldn t escape Perry Smith s stereotype of
him as the self righteous tormentor and therefore could not escape Smith s revenge on the society that
shunned him. The motifs that capote uses in this novel were the animals that he featured in it. The
animals that Capote mentions in this book are weak and defenseless, and they symbolize the
defenselessness of Smith and even of Capote. Capote was frustrated with societies condemnation of
people outside the social norms, and it show in this book through his pessimistic point of view. He
feels contempt for the pious Clutter family because they represented the type of people that abandoned
him as a child. If Capote s mission for In Cold Blood was to create an unbiased account of what took
place during the murder of the Clutter family and other facts the surround the event, then he failed
because his opinion is quite clear throughout the entire book (Kim np). I Agree with Lydia Kim s
opinion of how Capote s so called non fiction novel was laced with his opinions and strong emotional
connection with Perry Smith. After reading several biographical essays on Truman Capote, and
reading an excerpt of In Cold Blood, it became clear that Capote was a very opinionated character

Hole was one of the works we viewed that showed a different kind of horror than any of the other
pieces we viewed. The works have similarities, but very different stories. Both works are similar in the
fact that they use a visual media to convey the story. The types of media are different, Afterlife with

The other works had no visual aid and the pages were restricted to words on every page. Afterlife with
Archie had dialogue to aid in the book, but was unique from the first page. The book used different
shades of red and blue that helped in setting the mood. The first page of the book is blacked out with
red paint splattered on it like blood, the words This is how the end of the world begins... (Aguirre
Sacasa 1.) sets the mood for the book and gives the idea that this will be an intense journey through
the pages. The Black Hole is a short film and uses video and sound as the only means of
communication to the audience. There is no dialogue since the man in the film is the only person in
the office. This film relied heavily on using video to convey the message flickering lights and dark
shadows add a scary feeling in the film. All the other works we viewed had dialogue, since this film
did not it stood out among the others. Visualizing the horror lets the audience see exactly what the
author and artist envisioned. It allows the viewer to see the raw image the artist wanted us to see. In
other works, monsters and places are described to the viewer and the viewer can make visual images,
but that varies among every individual. Visual aid deletes the variation among viewers and captures
the horror the way it was

Information Technology Infrastructure Of Shiv Llc Company
Introduction
This document is a proposal for the setup and implementation of the Information Technology
infrastructure of Shiv LLC company. The document covers the technologies to be used in
implementing a multi location infrastructure that will aid the business processes of the three different
locations of Shiv LLC which are at Los Angeles, Dallas and Houston. Owing to the prospects of a
rapid growth, the designs proposed in this document are flexible enough to allow room for future
expansion and scaling. This proposal document was prepared with an assumption that there will be
sufficient funds to procure all the equipment necessary to fully implement the considerations put
forward in the document.
Active Directory
Active directory enable computers on the same Local Area Network (LAN) to communicate with each
other. Without Active Directory, each computer on the network will operate as a standalone computer.
Shiv LLC needs active directory to connect all computers on the network to each other. That is to say
that all user s information is stored in a central place, and not on the local computers hard drive. A
global catalog is used to control the domain; the catalog keeps a record of all the devices registered on
the network.
A server running Active Directory Domain Services is known as a domain controller. A domain
controller provides a distributed database which is used to store and manage information about
network resources and application specific data from

Japan s Power In The United States
Currently in the world there are 196 countries, each one with unique qualities and political structures.
Japan is an island nation in East Asia that is located in the Pacific Ocean. It has a total of 6, 852
islands that make up about ninety seven percent of Japan s land area. It is the world s tenth largest
population with 126 million people. The emperor ran the country until it was forced to surrender and
the United States assisted in the reform of the country. Currently, Japan is a democracy with a
constitution that used the structure of the United States as a model. It uses the three branch system,
however, one of its branches drastically outweighs the other two in regards to power. This developed

A new constitution took affect in 1947; establishing a parliamentary system, with all adults eligible to
vote and the emperor became mostly a symbolic head of state (Infoplease). United States troops were
stationed in Japan because of a security treaty that was signed between the two countries in 1951
(Infoplease). However, in 1952, Japan regained full sovereignty and the Ryuku Islands, including
Okinawa, were returned by the United States (Infoplease). During this time, the Liberal Democratic
Party was formed (BBC). This party will govern the country, almost uninterruptedly, for the rest of the
century and beyond (BBC). Also during this time, United States servicemen raped an Okinawa
schoolgirl causing mass protest demanding the removal of United States forces from the island (BBC).
Japan had an extraordinary postwar economic recovery and continued to grow through the 1970s and
1980s until it was the world s second largest economy (after the United States) (Infoplease). Because
of scandals involving leaders of industry, government officials and bankers, Japan suffered in the
Asian economic crisis in 1998, (Infoplease). In 2009, the Democratic Party of Japan won the general
election and ended the unbroken rule of the Liberal Democratic Party (BBC). Also, in 2009, it faced
the worst economic crisis since World War II because its economy shrank by 3.3% (BBC). However, it

Assured of success, Joshua renewed his plans to conquer Ai. The enemy forces were lured into the
open so that the thirty thousand men who had stationed beyond the city by night were able to attack Ai
from the near and set it afire. The defenders were annihilated, their king was hanged and the site was
reduced to rubble. When Israel makes its second attack, the people of Ai as well as the inhabitants of
Bethel vacate their cities to pursue the enemy (Josh. 8: 17). Not all of the Canaanites tried to resist
Israel s invasion. One group, the Gibeonites, avoided destruction by deceiving the Israelites into
making a covenant of peace with them (Joshua 9:1). Alarmed by the defection of the Gibeonites to
Israel, a group of southern Canaanite kings, led by Adoni zedek of Jerusalem, formed a coalition
against the invading force. The kings threatened to attack the Gibeonites, causing Joshua to come to
the defense of his new allies. Because of supernatural intervention, the Israelites were able to defeat
the coalition. Joshua then launched a southern campaign which resulted in the capture of numerous
Canaanite cities (Joshua 10:1). Joshua s third and last military campaign was in northern Canaan. In
that region King Jabin of Hazor formed a coalition of neighbouring kings to battle with the Israelites.
Joshua made a surprise attack upon them at the waters of Merom, utterly defeating his foe (Joshua
11:1 15). The invasion of Canaan met with phenomenal success; large

The Treatment Of Breast Cancer
Breast cancer affects so many women around the world. Even with the technology and medicine we
have today to treat this deadly disease, the pain a patient experiences with breast cancer is still
relentless. Pain comes from either progression of the disease or a side effect from treatment. In this
article they talk about the role of the WHO s three step analgesic ladder and how the administration of
opioids for breast cancer patients experiencing pain effect ones psychological state and their quality of
life. Since many patients experience negative side effects from opioids, there becomes a need to
develop therapeutic modalities. Overall, the main purpose of the article was to focus on current
treatments that provide pain management for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Unfortunately, many of these ways are through pain medications called non opioid, weak opioid, and
strong opioid. As the opioid gets stronger the higher the chance of intolerable side effect can occur.
Side effects from different opioids are known to cause a decrease in the quality of life for a breast
cancer patient. How does one choose a medication to deal with pain at different levels? The WHO s
ladder for relief of cancer pain was developed for this reason. In short, if you have minimal pain you
will receive non opioids. Once the non opioids do not help and pain continues to increase, strong
opioids will be administered. It s a stepping ladder; each step in the progression of cancer has a certain
medication to deal with that stage of pain.
Because of the need for pharmacotherapy in breast cancer patients, the patient will undergo limitation.
The patient can experience nausea and vomiting, gastric disturbances, renal dysfunction are common,
as well as respiratory depression has been known to occur while on opioids. Patients need the
pharmacotherapy to deal with pain and kill their cancer, but those opioids really affect a person s
essence of life. Luckily, there are also non pharmacological therapies a patient can participate in.
Yoga, acupuncture and musical therapy are great examples of these.
In my opinion, the author didn t have a perspective in this article. The purpose of this article was to

General Bernard Montgomery s Larg Operation Market Garden
The year is 1944, and the Allies are drawing closer to victory everyday. A daring plan arises soon after
the successful invasion of Normandy; this plan, alternatively, ends in disaster. Had everything gone as
the good General Bernard Montgomery had hoped, the war would have been finished by Christmas; a
large blow against the Germans was needed to relieve the troops in Normandy, who were then facing
both German soldiers and difficult, unfamiliar terrain. General Montgomery had devised a plan that
would push the Allies through Holland and past the strongest of Germany s defences. The idea was
simple: the Allied Airborne Division would drop paratroopers in, who would then take eight important
bridges around Eindhoven, Nijmegen and Arnhem. These troops would then fight through Nazi
controlled Holland and into the heart of Germany, winning the war.
The historic battle of Arnhem was codenamed Operation Market Garden. When it was conceived, the
idea was that a quick strike through Holland and into Germany would be able to end the war and bring
relief to the troops battling through terrain and soldiers in Normandy. The original plan was very much
like the invasion of Normandy: a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Allies made it across the Rhine and into Germany s industrial area. Had the operation been canceled,
the resources could have been diverted elsewhere, and may have been more help at ending the war. As
it is, Operation Market Garden will forever go down as a stain on history; if more intelligence and
time had gone into planning the operation, it could have turned the tide of the war and allowed the
Allies a much quicker, less painful

Use Of Archetypes In John Knowles A Separate Peace
Carl Jung, the very first pioneer who discovered human collective unconsciousness, including
archetypes, once said, An archetype is something like an old watercourse along which the water of life
flowed for a time, digging a deep channel for itself. The longer it flowed the deeper the channel, and
the more likely it is that sooner or later the water will return. An archetype is the universal patterns
and behaviors that represent a typical human experience that is passed down from generations to
generations, creating its originality. In A Separate Peace , John Knowles uses many archetypes to
enrich the personality of his characters, especially Gene and Finny based on common human
experiences. By embodying the archetypes of the Fall from Innocence, the Unhealable, and the
Crossroads in A Separate Peace, John Knowles was successful in establishing the theme for the novel
which implies that the guilt which is begotten from one s deceitful actions would remain as an
irrecoverable wound overtime. The Fall from Innocence is the loss of one s innocence, or purity as the
result of maturity or newfound knowledge. Mason Cooley, an American aphorist, once said, Innocence
is thought charming because it offers many possibilities for exploitation. It is very needless to say that
innocence is a valuable shield to a person that keeps that person free from sinful acts and evil
demeanors. John Knowles exploits the archetype of the Fall from Innocence to show Finny s reaction

Comparing War Poems Essays
Comparing War Poems Died of Wounds and Suicide in the Trenches are two poems, which I will be
comparing the similarities and differences, which were written by the same author. Both these poems
were written by a person called Siegfried Sasson, who wrote most of his poems during the World War
One, which outlined how bad the war was to those at home after suffering from being Shell Shocked. I
will be comparing the language it uses, ideas it contains and the way it is structured between both
poems, which Siegfried Sasson uses to demonstrate that war is evil, and should be stopped. The theme
in Died of Wounds is that soldiers become shell shocked and go insane. They also suffer from mental

On the forth line of Died of Wounds the author says He did the business well where business is a
metaphor, for it is the earnest of the wounded solider to draw attention to himself. Also on the last line
of Died of Wounds the author describes dead soldier as a slight wound where he is comparing a dead
solider to a small wound, and therefore it does not matter, and he is also comparing the country to a
solider, which is hardly notices a slight wound. There is also some similarity in Suicide in the
Trenches where Siegfried Sasson describes the trenches as if it is like hell meaning that war was like a
place where young people went and got themselves killed. On the first line of Died of Wounds,
Siegfried Sasson wrote Wet White , which is alliteration, which is a type of sound device. He also does
this on the third line, ninth line and the last line. This makes the poem sound better. There is also some
similarity in Suicide in the Trenches, where the author also uses this device to make the poem catchier
but instead uses different letters to make it sound different and better. There is also another similarity
in both poems where there are no assonances, which is the same as alliteration but it does not occur in

Historically Black Colleges Essay
H istorically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) are the institutions in the United States that
were created for the specific purpose of educating Black American college students. With the push for
integrating white institutions during the Civil Rights Movement, enrollment at many HBCUs has
dropped, and their role of educating the most of the Black middle class has changed dramatically.
Although the student population at the majority of HBCUs remains predominantly black, the racial
diversity of such institutions have undergone tremendous changes over the years. Young black
Americans that attend or plan to attend a historically black college or university tend to fell a sense of
empowerment and community ambiance with these types of schools. Some of the classes offered and
the extracurricular activities that speak directly to the African American culture may only be available
at HBCUs or may provide the most benefits at a historically black college or university. The entire
HBCU experience is entirely different than that of other public or private colleges that are
predominantly white. While HBCUs represent only 3% of the nation s institutions of higher learning

What Factors Played A Role In The Death And Life Of A...
What factors played a role in the death and life of a language?
There are roughly 7.4 billion people in the world, with over 6000 diverse cultures and societies.
Within these cultures lies languages and dialects. Sadly, there are serval hundred languages that have
faded away from a cultural society. This research paper analyzes the factors that lead to the death and
life of a language.
Origin of language
There are two different views on how human beings we were able to begin communicating with
language. Historians believe that the first known communication between man was cave paintings.
The paintings consist of signs and drawings of human hunting animals. Evidence suggests that the
paintings were used as a story liner. They re also ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These areas of Egyptian safe havens are modern day middle eastern countries. The Greeks did not last
very long for the Romans invaded and took over the Egyptian lands. So just for the Egyptian land
alone faced language changes from Egyptian/Hebrew, to Greek, to Latin.
Where did these languages come from? How did mankind go from paintings on caves to speaking so
many different languages?
Ever heard the story the Tower of Babel? The story begins with a nation of people speaking One
tongue coming together to build a tower to reach the heavens to escape the possible coming of the
second flight. However, God saw how powerful mankind can be when united togeather as one nation
speaking the same language. So, He created a confusion in the languages and spread people out. The
original language spoken by the people of Babel was Hebrew. In Genesis 11:18 states that the world
had one language and a common speech. In verse two one can find the name of the land the Babel
people settled in was Shinar, Babylon. And the word Babel Is the Hebrew word for confusion. So, if a
Siri was already named the Hebrew name it must imply that he was the main language before the
confusion. And if we go further back to Genesis chapter 1 in the creation of Adam and Eve there is a
verse where Adam is brought all the beasts of the earth to mean name. And that Adam talked with
God.
Changes within languages
A major change within a language would have been

Future Of Journalism In Canada
If I had to predict the future of journalism in Canada, I would probably say that it will be characterized
by diversity of voices, high competition, professionalism, and versatility. Canada is one of the most
liberal and democratic countries when it comes to mass media and press, so I would assume this trend
will persist. Among positive trends in Canadian journalism, I would single out diversity, interactivity,
and professionalism. Diversity. The biggest media outlets in Canada are not censored by the
Government and are relatively free to provide honest, balanced, and unbiased coverage of events.
Many of these outlets have opinion writers or columnists who openly express their stance on politics,
education, foreign affairs, etc. This carnival of opinions ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
99 per cent of journalists who work for news outlets have their own Twitter account where they
interact with readers. Many large digital editions maintain and monitor platforms for discussions and
commentary. Professionalism. Although professionalism is a very subjective feature, I believe that
most Canadian news outlets and journalists adhere to the code of ethics and report the news in a
timely manner, with a lot of attention to detail and without any bias. Professionalism is reflected in the
quality of reports mainstream news sources and large newsrooms provide balanced and concise
reporting of events. Among negative trends in Canadian journalism I would name competitiveness,
low quality of content, and sponsored content (native advertising). Competitiveness. Based on my
observation, the amount of freelance writers, journalists, and communicators is steadily increasing.
Since the field offers so much diversity, minimal education, and less technical skills, many claim to be
journalists. Therefore, the industry often settles for lower quality and a better price, versus hiring

This epidemic is quickly becoming one of the leading causes of death in the United States as well as

nurses and other healthcare workers do not completely understand. As a result of this disconnect

  • 2. The Revolution Of The United States Government Based on the information provided to me from the text, and my own personal thoughts, I am a firm believer that we are in a revolution at this day in age, and will always continue to be in a revolution so long as the human race is here. I believe that being human, means you re always changing and society is always revolving. As there are countless revolutions occuring at this time... I will like to state a few that I have personally witnessed. These are: a political revolution, describing the never ending changes in the United States Government; and a cultural revolution, a fairly old revolution that has been gaining momentum in the past few decades. As stated in the text, a revolution is ironic! There will ALWAYS be a problem; as one is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As time continued, this battle played on every 4 years during each presidential election. Today, we see this 200 year old revolution still continue in the 2016 election and now. The Republicans (Trump), wanted a weaker government where taxes were reduced and many government programs were defunded. He wanted to emphasize greater security by bumping up our Department of Defense spending and banning refugees from Muslim dominate countries. The Democrats (Clinton) emphasized a strong central government, where taxes were raised. They leaned more towards freedoms, instead of securities. They wanted to continue to defund our military spending and fight for civil issues such as DAPL, Pro choice on Abortions, and etc. We as a nation went from a government controlled mostly by Democrats a few years ago, to a government being controlled by Republicans. Even as the election has passed, and recorded in history, the turmoil of the recent changes have only begun. However, this is what our government was set up to be, so that no matter how much we change... how much the people s perspectives change, we will still have a foundation of human rights and ethics that is unaimiously aggreed upon to keep America going. Another revolution that has been around since the reign of King Kamehameha II (Liholiho), is a cultural revolution. A revolution, that has been both violent and peaceful, causing lots of ... • 3. Secondary Structure Prediction When analyzing the secondary structure predictions of the query sequence from the five prediction programs, the majority of the programs seemed to detect the presence of one long, uninterrupted helix on the N terminal side of the pilE protein. However, some programs, such as PORTER (Pollastri et al., 2005) and SSpro (Magnan et al., 2014) indicated the presence of two helices interrupted by a small gap of random coils. While these results appear to contradict each other at first, upon further inspection, this can be explained by the fact that when two helices are very close to each other, some algorithms may erroneously pick it up as 1 long helix since secondary prediction programs are not 100% accurate. Thus, in the consensus secondary ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One possible reason for this discrepancy that while these species represent species that are homologs of each other, some of their secondary structures may slightly differ from one another. Another possible reason for this discrepancy may be because, as briefly mentioned before, secondary structure prediction programs are not always accurate and thus, there could have been an error made in one of the programs, allowing for detection of an extra beta strand or for a beta strand to go undetected. This is perfectly illustrated by the PORTER server, which mysteriously predicts a helix spanning amino acid residues 104 113 of the query sequence when all the other programs predicted either a beta strand or random coil in that range instead (Figure 1b). Since PORTER was the only program to predict a helix in this range, it is considered an outlier and thus, it can largely be ignored as an error when making the consensus secondary structure prediction. The initial domain architecture was generated based on the known pilE protein in Neisseria gonorrhoeae (control sequence) and consisted of two domains, the N terminal domain and the pilA domain. Using the metaserver InterPro, the N terminal domain was predicted to span amino acid residues 2 29, while the pilA domain was predicted to span residues 36 161 (Finn et al., 2017). Although there seemed to be a somewhat high correspondence between the secondary structure prediction analysis and the domain architecture ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. The Monk In The Canterbury Tales A traditionally monk is, typically, a skinny old man who is wise or a young, fit man who is stilling learning. They are, usually, kind people who prefer peacefully resolutions to problems, also they do not indulge themselves with worldly desires they only use what they need to survive and nothing more. They are people that are strong of mind and body and like to help those in need even if they do not have much to give themselves. They are scholarly people who give up everything to pursue higher state of mind, soul, and body. They do not hunt animals as a sport they are, mostly, vegetarians and those who do eat meat will hunt enough to feed themselves and not a single animal more. That is what a monk, in the eyes and minds of others, is in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There are colors in his attire that show the sins that he allowed to take him from the path of a true monk. There are two colors that describe him completely. The colors are yellow and blue these three colors represent the emotions greed and lust. The first emotion, greed, is shown and represented by how much gold he wears and he dressed in expensive clothes instead of the normal, plain clothes that monks usually wear. Greed is an emotion that monks left go when they a join a monastery. They do this because when they become they must let go of their greed because monks are people that give to others to make their lives easier while not caring for their own needs and wants. The Monk has not let go of his greed which brings of the question of why he cannot let go of it. Is he that consumed by his own wants and needs that he does not help feel the others or is because he is scared that he gives too much and in up in the situation as them. The next sin that the Monk displays is lust. He displays it in three different ways in lust for women, hunting, and riding. Hunting and riding are act lust because lust is not just the yearning of sex with a woman (or a man) it is when a person loses self control and acts on desires that are supposed to be acted upon. Avoiding The Possessive Shadow Of Society Ethan Honorat Mr. Naserdine Literature Honors 5 January 2016 Avoiding the Possessive Shadow of Society Ralph Waldo Emerson once wrote, It is easy in the world to live after the world s opinion; it is easy in solitude to live after our own; but the great man is he who in the midst of the crowd keeps with perfect sweetness the independence of solitude. (Emerson 1) Being one s self in today s society is increasingly difficult every year and can have a major effect on the mental state of teenagers. It is easy to follow the pack, but then one is just a faceless person marching in with the crowd with no true purpose; true strength is in those who try to be themselves in the face of society. Many teens struggle with their identities and can turn to self harm or even suicide to relieve their pain, yet not enough effort goes into trying to help these struggling teens. In fact in a recent study done for Curing the illness: suicide prevention , professor John Wensly states that Suicide rates are increasing alarmingly. Every year we see a ten percent increase in suicide attempts alone. (Wensly 23) In his book Into the Wild, Jon Krakauer writes about Christopher McCandless, who did anything but live in society s large and possessive shadow. Chris broke free from society s chains and lived his life with adventure despite the numerous people telling him to stop. These troops would then fight through Nazi controlled Holland and into the heart of Germany, winning the war. The historic battle of Arnhem was codenamed Operation Market Garden. When it was conceived, the idea was that a quick strike through Holland and into Germany would be able to end the war and bring relief to the troops battling through terrain and soldiers in Normandy. The original plan was very much like the invasion of Normandy: a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Only a small number of people made it across the Rhine, only a single bridge was held for any length of time, and there was a high rate of casualties. Instead of helping to stop the war as expected, the operation was nothing but a waste of life and resources. It would be another few months before the Allies made it across the Rhine and into Germany s industrial area. Had the operation been canceled, the resources could have been diverted elsewhere, and may have been more help at ending the war. As it is, Operation Market Garden will forever go down as a stain on history; if more intelligence and time had gone into planning the operation, it could have turned the tide of the war and allowed the Allies a much quicker, less painful ... • 29. Use Of Archetypes In John Knowles A Separate Peace Carl Jung, the very first pioneer who discovered human collective unconsciousness, including archetypes, once said, An archetype is something like an old watercourse along which the water of life flowed for a time, digging a deep channel for itself. The longer it flowed the deeper the channel, and the more likely it is that sooner or later the water will return. An archetype is the universal patterns and behaviors that represent a typical human experience that is passed down from generations to generations, creating its originality. In A Separate Peace , John Knowles uses many archetypes to enrich the personality of his characters, especially Gene and Finny based on common human experiences. By embodying the archetypes of the Fall from Innocence, the Unhealable, and the Crossroads in A Separate Peace, John Knowles was successful in establishing the theme for the novel which implies that the guilt which is begotten from one s deceitful actions would remain as an irrecoverable wound overtime. The Fall from Innocence is the loss of one s innocence, or purity as the result of maturity or newfound knowledge. Mason Cooley, an American aphorist, once said, Innocence is thought charming because it offers many possibilities for exploitation. It is very needless to say that innocence is a valuable shield to a person that keeps that person free from sinful acts and evil demeanors. John Knowles exploits the archetype of the Fall from Innocence to show Finny s reaction ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Comparing War Poems Essays Comparing War Poems Died of Wounds and Suicide in the Trenches are two poems, which I will be comparing the similarities and differences, which were written by the same author. Both these poems were written by a person called Siegfried Sasson, who wrote most of his poems during the World War One, which outlined how bad the war was to those at home after suffering from being Shell Shocked. I will be comparing the language it uses, ideas it contains and the way it is structured between both poems, which Siegfried Sasson uses to demonstrate that war is evil, and should be stopped. On the forth line of Died of Wounds the author says He did the business well where business is a metaphor, for it is the earnest of the wounded solider to draw attention to himself. Also on the last line of Died of Wounds the author describes dead soldier as a slight wound where he is comparing a dead solider to a small wound, and therefore it does not matter, and he is also comparing the country to a solider, which is hardly notices a slight wound. There is also some similarity in Suicide in the Trenches where Siegfried Sasson describes the trenches as if it is like hell meaning that war was like a place where young people went and got themselves killed. On the first line of Died of Wounds, Siegfried Sasson wrote Wet White , which is alliteration, which is a type of sound device. He also does this on the third line, ninth line and the last line. This makes the poem sound better. There is also some similarity in Suicide in the Trenches, where the author also uses this device to make the poem catchier but instead uses different letters to make it sound different and better. There is also another similarity in both poems where there are no assonances, which is the same as alliteration but it does not occur in consonants ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Historically Black Colleges Essay H istorically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) are the institutions in the United States that were created for the specific purpose of educating Black American college students. With the push for integrating white institutions during the Civil Rights Movement, enrollment at many HBCUs has dropped, and their role of educating the most of the Black middle class has changed dramatically. Although the student population at the majority of HBCUs remains predominantly black, the racial diversity of such institutions have undergone tremendous changes over the years. Young black Americans that attend or plan to attend a historically black college or university tend to fell a sense of empowerment and community ambiance with these types of schools. Sadly, there are serval hundred languages that have faded away from a cultural society. This research paper analyzes the factors that lead to the death and life of a language. The Greeks did not last very long for the Romans invaded and took over the Egyptian lands. So just for the Egyptian land alone faced language changes from Egyptian/Hebrew, to Greek, to Latin. Where did these languages come from? How did mankind go from paintings on caves to speaking so many different languages? Ever heard the story the Tower of Babel? The story begins with a nation of people speaking One tongue coming together to build a tower to reach the heavens to escape the possible coming of the second flight. However, God saw how powerful mankind can be when united togeather as one nation speaking the same language. So, He created a confusion in the languages and spread people out. The original language spoken by the people of Babel was Hebrew. In Genesis 11:18 states that the world had one language and a common speech. In verse two one can find the name of the land the Babel people settled in was Shinar, Babylon. And the word Babel Is the Hebrew word for confusion. So, if a Siri was already named the Hebrew name it must imply that he was the main language before the confusion. Future Of Journalism In Canada If I had to predict the future of journalism in Canada, I would probably say that it will be characterized by diversity of voices, high competition, professionalism, and versatility. Canada is one of the most liberal and democratic countries when it comes to mass media and press, so I would assume this trend will persist. Among positive trends in Canadian journalism, I would single out diversity, interactivity, and professionalism. Diversity. Many of these outlets have opinion writers or columnists who openly express their stance on politics, education, foreign affairs, etc. This carnival of opinions ... Professionalism is reflected in the quality of reports mainstream news sources and large newsrooms provide balanced and concise reporting of events. Among negative trends in Canadian journalism I would name competitiveness, low quality of content, and sponsored content (native advertising). Competitiveness. Based on my observation, the amount of freelance writers, journalists, and communicators is steadily increasing.
