This document presents a design for a compact planar inverted-f antenna (PIFA) with a slotted ground plane aimed at improving mobile phone thickness while maintaining performance across multiple communication bands. The proposed antenna, measuring 25 x 15 x 3.8 mm3, has been analyzed through HFSS simulation, demonstrating effective resonance at frequencies suitable for UMTS, LTE, Bluetooth, and WLAN applications. The innovative use of the ground plane as a radiator contributes to a significant reduction in volume and enhances bandwidth, making it suitable for today's slim mobile devices.
