The document describes a rectangular microstrip patch antenna designed for both multiband and wideband wireless applications. The antenna is designed on an FR4 substrate measuring 30x40x1.57mm with an E-shaped slot cut in the ground plane. Simulation results show the antenna resonates at four frequencies between 3-9GHz with return losses between -12 to -21dB. Radiation patterns and surface currents are analyzed at several resonant frequencies. Peak gains of 2.4dBi and 3.6dBi are observed at two frequencies. The antenna design achieves both multiband and wideband performance in a single compact structure suitable for wireless applications.
Study of Compact and Wideband Microstrip U-Slot Patch Antenna with DGS for Sa...Rammohan Mudgal
Microstrip patch antennas are used in many wireless
communication applications. This paper proposes the use of a
patch antenna with U-shaped slot and ground with reduced
dimension having DGS(Defected Ground Structure.) to achieve
wideband application with very low return loss. The objective of
this paper is to design, construct and fabricate microstrip antennas
suitable for satellite application that centred at frequency 6.3GHz.
The antenna must operate within the band of 6.3GHz band. This
band is currently being used in military applications. The antenna
is proposed to be used as a transmitting as well as receiving
antenna in wireless network and the mentioned applications. A
thick substrate with finite ground dimensions broadens the
bandwidth of the antenna. The proposed antenna reduced the
return loss as well as increases the bandwidth of the antenna
without increasing substrate height with the help of DGS.
In this paper, variations in the capacitive fed suspended RMSA configurations have been proposed. Initially, the reference antenna consists of rectangular patch of size of (35.5 X 45.6) mm2 and a small rectangular feed patch of size of (1.4 X 4) mm2 residing on the same substrate suspended above the ground plane. Coaxial probe is used to feed the small patch which in turn excites the radiator patch electromagnetically, yielding a large impedance bandwidth (BW) of 39%, with good gain and broadside radiation pattern. By, meandering the ground plane of reference antenna with three rectangular slots, the prototype antenna is fabricated and measurement has been carried out to validate the result for compact broadband response. Later, by loading a pair of rectangular slots in the radiating patch of the reference antenna in addition to the rectangular slots in the ground plane, the prototype antenna is fabricated and measurement has been carried out to validate the result for compact dual band response.

Time Dependent Quadratic Demand Inventory Models when Delay in Payments is Ac...IJMER
An EOQ model is constructed for deteriorating items with time dependent quadratic demand rate. It is assumed that the deterioration rate is constant and the supplier offers his retailer the credit period to settle the account of the procurement units. To solve the model it is further assumed that shortages are not allowed and the replenishment rate is instantaneous. We have presented the models under two different scenarios, viz., (i)the offered credit period is less than or equal to the cycle time and (ii) the offered credit period by the supplier to the retailer for settling the account is greater than cycle time. The objective is to minimize the retailers total inventory cost. Salvage value is also taken to see its effect on the total cost. A numerical example is given to study the effect of allowable credit period and the total cost of the retailer.

Effect of Preform Geometry on the Material Behaviour and the Densification Me...IJMER
The present investigation pertains to generate experimental data in order to establish the
influence of initial preform geometries on the material behaviour and the operative densification
mechanism/s during hot upsetforging of sintered AISI 9840 P/M Steel composition prepared from the
elemental powders. Powder blend corresponding to AISI 9840= C(0.4%), Mn(0.8%), Si(0.3%),
Ni(1.0%),Cr(0.8%), Mo(0.25%) and Fe(96.4%) composition was prepared on a pot mill and the
blending was carried out for a period' of 16hrs. while maintaining the powder to ball ratio 1.1: I by
weight. Compacts of 27.5mm diameter and 12 - 24mm heights were prepared from the aforesaid
blend in the density range of 84±1 percent of theoretical density by applying accurately controlled
pressures in the range of 460±10 MPa and by taking pre-weighed powders. Indigenously developed
ceramic coating was applied all over the compact surfaces and dried under an ambient conditions
for a period of 10- 12 hrs. These ceramic coated compacts were recoated 90° to the previous coating
and re- dried under the aforesaid conditions. These ceramic coated preforms were sintered in an
electric muffle furnace for a period of 90 minutes at 11500±10°C. Immediately after the completion
of the sintering schedule, the preforms corresponding to 0.45, 0.68 and 0.92 initial aspect ratios were
axially hot forged to different height strains. Analysis of the experimental data has revealed that the
lower aspect ratio preforms densified rapidly compared to higher aspect ratios and the densification
curves corresponded to a third order polynomial of the form:(ρf/ρth) = ao +al €h + a2€h2 +a3€h3;
where, €h= ln (Ho/Hf) and a0, al, a2 anda3 are empirically determined constants. Further analysis
has established that the Poisson's ratio would always remain less than one half and will have the
tendency to approach to a limiting value of 0.5 in the near vicinity of the theoretical density.
Influence of the preform geometry is established to be quite pronounced and has affected the
densification curves and Poisson's ratio with density

Efficient Design of Sierpinski Fractal Antenna for High Frequency ApplicationsIJERA Editor
A wideband published slot antenna appropriate for wireless code division multiple access (WCDMA) and
sustaining the international interoperability for microwave access (WiMAX) applications is planned here. The
antenna is fractal line fed and its construction is based on fractal geometry where the resonance frequency of
antenna is dropped by applying iteration methods. Fractal antennas are the most suited for aerospace and UWB
applications because of their low profile, light weight and low power handling capacity. They can be designed in
a variety of shapes in order to obtain enhanced gain and bandwidth, dual band and circular polarization to even
ultra-wideband operation. For the simulation process ANSOFT HFSS (high frequency structure simulator) has
been used. The effect of antenna dimensions and substrate parameters on the performance of antenna have been
discussed. The antenna has been designed using the Arlon substrate with relative permittivity of 1.3 and a
substrate of Sierpinski Carpet shaped placed on it. Feed used is the fractal line feed. The designed antenna is a
low profile, small size and multiband antenna since it can be operated at different frequencies within the
frequency range of 4.3GHz to 11GHz. It includes the frequencies used for wireless WCDMA application and
used to receive and transmit a high-frequency signal.

A Study on Translucent Concrete Product and Its Properties by Using Optical F...IJMER
- Translucent concrete is a concrete based material with light-transferring properties,
obtained due to embedded light optical elements like Optical fibers used in concrete. Light is conducted
through the concrete from one end to the other. This results into a certain light pattern on the other
surface, depending on the fiber structure. Optical fibers transmit light so effectively that there is
virtually no loss of light conducted through the fibers. This paper deals with the modeling of such
translucent or transparent concrete blocks and panel and their usage and also the advantages it brings
in the field. The main purpose is to use sunlight as a light source to reduce the power consumption of
illumination and to use the optical fiber to sense the stress of structures and also use this concrete as an

Geochemistry and Genesis of Kammatturu Iron Ores of Devagiri Formation, Sandu...IJMER
The Greenstone belts of Karnataka are enriched in BIFs in Dharwar craton, where Iron
formations are confined to the basin shelf, clearly separated from the deeper-water iron formation that
accumulated at the basin margin and flanking the marine basin. Geochemical data procured in terms of
major, trace and REE are plotted in various diagrams to interpret the genesis of BIFs. Al2O3, Fe2O3 (T),
TiO2, CaO, and SiO2 abundances and ratios show a wide variation. Ni, Co, Zr, Sc, V, Rb, Sr, U, Th,
ΣREE, La, Ce and Eu anomalies and their binary relationships indicate that wherever the terrigenous
component has increased, the concentration of elements of felsic such as Zr and Hf has gone up. Elevated
concentrations of Ni, Co and Sc are contributed by chlorite and other components characteristic of basic
volcanic debris. The data suggest that these formations were generated by chemical and clastic
sedimentary processes on a shallow shelf. During transgression, chemical precipitation took place at the
sediment-water interface, whereas at the time of regression. Iron ore formed with sedimentary structures
and textures in Kammatturu area, in a setting where the water column was oxygenated.

Non linear analysis of Robot Gun Support Structure using Equivalent Dynamic A...IJMER
Robot guns are being increasingly employed in automotive manufacturing to replace
risky jobs and also to increase productivity. Using a single robot for a single operation proves to be
expensive. Hence for cost optimization, multiple guns are mounted on a single robot and multiple
operations are performed. Robot Gun structure is an efficient way in which multiple welds can be done
simultaneously. However mounting several weld guns on a single structure induces a variety of
dynamic loads, especially during movement of the robot arm as it maneuvers to reach the weld
locations. The primary idea employed in this paper, is to model those dynamic loads as equivalent G
force loads in FEA. This approach will be on the conservative side, and will be saving time and
subsequently cost efficient. The approach of the paper is towards creating a standard operating
procedure when it comes to analysis of such structures, with emphasis on deploying various technical
aspects of FEA such as Non Linear Geometry, Multipoint Constraint Contact Algorithm, Multizone
meshing .

Intrusion Detection and Forensics based on decision tree and Association rule...IJMER
This paper present an approach based on the combination of, two techniques using
decision tree and Association rule mining for Probe attack detection. This approach proves to be
better than the traditional approach of generating rules for fuzzy expert system by clustering methods.
Association rule mining for selecting the best attributes together and decision tree for identifying the
best parameters together to create the rules for fuzzy expert system. After that rules for fuzzy expert
system are generated using association rule mining and decision trees. Decision trees is generated for
dataset and to find the basic parameters for creating the membership functions of fuzzy inference
system. Membership functions are generated for the probe attack. Based on these rules we have
created the fuzzy inference system that is used as an input to neuro-fuzzy system. Fuzzy inference
system is loaded to neuro-fuzzy toolbox as an input and the final ANFIS structure is generated for
outcome of neuro-fuzzy approach. The experiments and evaluations of the proposed method were
done with NSL-KDD intrusion detection dataset. As the experimental results, the proposed approach
based on the combination of, two techniques using decision tree and Association rule mining
efficiently detected probe attacks. Experimental results shows better results for detecting intrusions as
compared to others existing methods
Natural Language Ambiguity and its Effect on Machine LearningIJMER
"Natural language processing" here refers to the use and ability of systems to process
sentences in a natural language such as English, rather than in a specialized artificial computer
language such as C++. The systems of real interest here are digital computers of the type we think of as
personal computers and mainframes. Of course humans can process natural languages, but for us the
question is whether digital computers can or ever will process natural languages. We have tried to
explore in depth and break down the types of ambiguities persistent throughout the natural languages
and provide an answer to the question “How it affects the machine translation process and thereby
machine learning as whole?” .
Today in era of software industry there is no perfect software framework available for
analysis and software development. Currently there are enormous number of software development
process exists which can be implemented to stabilize the process of developing a software system. But no
perfect system is recognized till yet which can help software developers for opting of best software
development process. This paper present the framework of skillful system combined with Likert scale. With
the help of Likert scale we define a rule based model and delegate some mass score to every process and
develop one tool name as MuxSet which will help the software developers to select an appropriate
development process that may enhance the probability of system success.
Material Parameter and Effect of Thermal Load on Functionally Graded CylindersIJMER
The present study investigates the creep in a thick-walled composite cylinders made
up of aluminum/aluminum alloy matrix and reinforced with silicon carbide particles. The distribution
of SiCp is assumed to be either uniform or decreasing linearly from the inner to the outer radius of
the cylinder. The creep behavior of the cylinder has been described by threshold stress based creep
law with a stress exponent of 5. The composite cylinders are subjected to internal pressure which is
applied gradually and steady state condition of stress is assumed. The creep parameters required to
be used in creep law, are extracted by conducting regression analysis on the available experimental
results. The mathematical models have been developed to describe steady state creep in the composite
cylinder by using von-Mises criterion. Regression analysis is used to obtain the creep parameters
required in the study. The basic equilibrium equation of the cylinder and other constitutive equations
have been solved to obtain creep stresses in the cylinder. The effect of varying particle size, particle
content and temperature on the stresses in the composite cylinder has been analyzed. The study
revealed that the stress distributions in the cylinder do not vary significantly for various combinations
of particle size, particle content and operating temperature except for slight variation observed for
varying particle content. Functionally Graded Materials (FGMs) emerged and led to the development
of superior heat resistant materials.

The focus of this paper is on implementation of Inter Integrated Circuit (I2C) protocol
following slave module for no data loss. In this paper, the principle and the operation of I2C bus protocol
will be introduced. It follows the I2C specification to provide device addressing, read/write operation and
an acknowledgement. The programmable nature of device provide users with the flexibility of configuring
the I2C slave device to any legal slave address to avoid the slave address collision on an I2C bus with
multiple slave devices. This paper demonstrates how I2C Master controller transmits and receives data to
and from the Slave with proper synchronization.
The module is designed in Verilog and simulated in ModelSim. The design is also synthesized in Xilinx

I. INTRODUCTION
The aim of this paper is to design an antenna with a low profile and high gain which can be in turn used for wireless applications. In order to achieve these attractive features such as low profile and high gain we prefer the micro strip path antennas which are most suited for millimeter wave frequency band applications and widely used for mobile communications, wireless communications and aerospace applications [1]. This Microstrip patch antennas are very simple in their construction using the conventional microstrip fabrication technique. The antennas in future must not only have multiband operation, should also possess wider bandwidths, simple structures and should have the ability to integrate with the RF circuits [2]. The Phenomenon of frequency agility, broad bandwidth, feed line flexibility and beam scanning can be easily obtained from these antennas [3]. Generally, the dimensions of microstrip patch antennas are around a half waveguide wavelength[4] and there are many miniaturization techniques that can be adopted in reducing such dimensions, they are classified as 1) Using high permittivity substrates 2) Increasing electrical length 3)Short circuits 3) Superstrates 4) Using magnetic substrates[5]. In the proposed antenna design a coplanar waveguide transmission line is employed, which enables us to design a wide range of characteristic impedances and the CPW structures usually provide wider bandwidths [6] and have many attractive features including low radiation losses, less dispersion and easy integration. In this paper, an E- shaped slot is cut on the ground plane for multi and wide band operations; this E- shaped slot on ground plane also creates a longer current path. There are varieties of configurations that can be realized for generating multi wide operations in a single antenna are already proposed. e.g., using coupled V- slot [7], double L- slit[8] ,U- slot antenna[9] inverted- L monopole antenna [10] etc. Most of these antennas could not cover low frequency applications but can be used for multi wide band operations. Antenna Geometry The Antenna Structure shown in the Figure 1 represents the antenna Configuration and figures 1(a) ,1(b) represents ground Plane (Bottom view) and patch(Top view) respectively. An E-Shaped slot is cut on the ground plane to create a longer current path and at the same time to achieve both wideband and multiband operations. The proposed antenna is designed on a FR4 Substrate with an overall area of 30x40mm2 and thickness of 1.57mm.The whole system is fed by coplanar waveguide feeding and the design of antenna is optimized using the Ansoft High Frequency Structural Simulator with the main dimensions shown in the figures 1(a) and 1(b).
Abstract: In this paper a rectangular patch antenna is proposed for both the multiband and wide band operations with a coplanar waveguide (CPW) feeding. The proposed antenna has a size of 30x40x1.57mm3 including the ground plane and it is designed on FR4 substrate with a dielectric constant of 4.4. The proposed antenna resonates at four distinct frequency bands, centered at 3.03, 4.84, 7.94 and 8.85 GHz. The return loss for the above mentioned frequency bands can be controlled and can be adjusted with parametric analysis of E-slot. The various terms and parameters associated with the antenna like return loss, radiation patterns, VSWR, current distributions and gain are analyzed and are optimized by the simulations carried out using finite element method based Ansoft High Frequency Structural Simulator(HFSS). Keywords: Coplanar waveguide feed line, E-slot antenna, Antenna Performance characteristics.

The behaviour of antenna can be further studied using current distribution. The current distribution on the circuit can be measured directly by using a magnetic probe composed of an antenna in the vicinity of the circuit. However, the direct estimation of the current distribution is difficult for the case of the multilayer circuit. Here we used single patch element on the substrate, so the electric current can be estimated easily at resonant frequencies. The resonant frequencies 3.03,4.84,7.94,8.85GHz are been used for current distribution studies. The surface current distributions at 4.84 and 7.94GHz resonant frequencies is shown in the figure 6(a) and 6(b). III. Conclusion
The Technique of using an E-shaped slot in the ground plane for a rectangular microstrip patch antenna with CPW feeding is to obtain both multiband and wideband characteristics in a single antenna is examined. Investigation on antenna shows that wide impedance bandwidths are achievable by varying size and shape of the ground plane. Along with the conventional parametric studies the current distribution analysis is also done in order to further realize the antenna performance. The Simulation results show that the proposed antenna presented in this paper has a high gain, high efficiency and stable radiation pattern at all the four resonant frequencies.
