This document discusses Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL), an educational approach that teaches non-language subjects through the medium of a foreign language. It defines CLIL and outlines its basic aspects, including that it can be effective from elementary to tertiary education and promotes new learning challenges. The document also describes three CLIL models - soft, hard, and mid - based on the balance between language and content. It presents the 4Cs framework for CLIL involving content, communication, cognition, and culture. Finally, it provides an example of applying this framework to a CLIL topic on historical associations in ancient Greek theatre, Elizabethan theatre, and modern Greek poetry.
