2. Style sheet- Fonts
• I have chosen these style of fonts as
they were my favorite choice to use
in my magazine for my masthead
and the subtitles. I have wrote of the
name of the club I am going to be
creating my magazine on and wrote
next to each one what the font
name is.
• For my masthead I am going to be
using marker felt as its bold and
simple and easy to read which is
what you want to look for in a
masthead.
• For the subtitles in my magazine I
will be using Lucida Bright as I am
wanting to keep my magazine simple
and basic looking.
• The text style I will be using for my
article writing is Noteworthy.
3. Style sheet-colours
• The colour scheme of my magazine is going to
try and relate to the colours that the football
team play in which are a sunshine yellow and
a orchid purple. Which won’t be a nice
contrast of the two colours together as both
colours are very bright and stand out colours.
• I feel that the colours that would contrast
nicely with the orchard purple would be
neutral colours.
• I’m going to try to achieve a consistent even
flow of the same colours throughout the
magazine
• I have used an online colour chart called
paletton , for this I select my primary colour
which is purple and it suggest other colours for
you that will contrast nicely with the purple.
4. Layout 1
The start of my football magazine
front cover is very basic and I'm
satisfied with its layout.
I am trying to use rulers to
recreate a grids which allow me to
plan out the layout of the
magazine nicely.
6. Page 1
This is one of my
double page spreads as
you can see it’s again a
simplistic layout that I
think is effective. I will
be casting an image of
either a player or club
sponsor and will be
writing an article on
the history on the
player or sponsor and
add next to the image
when it was taken.
7. Page 2
This is yet again another simplistic layout choice
I have decided to use as the second page of my
double page spread. The reason I have chosen
this is because it will have a small article at the
bottom of the feature page where I will talk
about potential transfer news and other news
relate to the club or league they play in. I also
feel it will look nice alongside page 1.
9. Content needed
• For the making of my magazine I will be getting my
own original photos to use in my magazine. These will
be shown throughout the magazine on all pages.
• I will need to get the logo of the the football club and
any logos of the sponsors to give them advertisement
in my magazine.
• I need to get statistics of the team on how they have
played over the season, the results.
• Individual player achievements and statistics for
example, how many goals scored, assists, etc. I can also
do this for the team performance and add them all
together.
10. Overall plan of my magazine layout
• My magazine is going to be a print magazine I'm
aiming to have 3-4 pages in my magazine, them
being either a front cover and a double page
spread or a front cover a double page spread and
a back page. The overall structure to my
magazine is a simplistic styled layout with a even
balance of text and images. My plan is to create a
magazine on my club, write about their results,
current form and aims. Also to write about their
sponsors and other facts around the club, such as
player bio’s etc.
12. Contingency Planning
Potential Issue Solution
Not being able to capture a clear snapshot of a
player during the game.
Attend multiple matches if I’m not able to
capture a snapshot that I'm satisfied with after
the first match to use for my magazine.
Weather, due to having a camera if its raining
this could lead to equipment malfunctioning
and poor picture quality due to a wet camera
lens.
Attend more than one football match, take dry
cloths to be able to wipe and clean the lens.
Also an umbrella to give me the best chance of
keeping the camera dry.
13. Health and Safety
Potential Issue How will the issue be
avoided?
Slip and injure myself wear suitable footwear such as walking boots if
the ground is wet or muddy.
Travelling to and from the football venue stick to the speed limit and leave plenty of time
when setting off so that I am not in a rush to
get there.
